The main quest of Battlespire revolves around you rescuing a mentor from a battlemage training college (the titular Battlespire). If your character is male, the ally is female: Vatasha Trenelle. If your character is female, the ally is male: Josian Kaid. The plot plays out the same regardless of gender.
The story progression can be ambiguous at times, and has been presented here in a way that makes the most linear sense. As for the dialogue, while in conversations the player can usually choose between several things to say, this transcript includes only include the funniest options (when all options lead to the same result) or the option that leads to the most information being revealed. Know that there is only a limited number of possible conversations on each level for each type of character. Meaning that if you talk to a Spider Daedroth and get a certain conversation, you will probably get the same conversation later on. Therefore, if the transcript says that a Spider Daedroth says a thing, he’s not the only Spider Daedroth who says that thing (unless explicitly stated otherwise).
