With a wave of his arms, the Breton conjures up a lute and
begins to sing.
"But the truth, my child,
Is that nothing more wild
That an ordinary fashion
Kind of slightly mad passion
Can be detected if at all
In Sentinel and Daggerfall."
Posted by: SEKKA Oct 19 2004, 05:02 AM
Sekka, seemingly ignorant to signs of annoyance, puts his wiry
arm around hakan's shoulder, and starts to talk to him like an old
friend...suddenly the prissier of the voices shouts "watch out...IM
PICKPOCKETING YOU! give it back you THIEF! you wretched creature, no! no! NO!
GIVE HIM BACK HIS RING!"
Posted by: NordRogue Oct 19 2004, 05:03 AM
Hakan drank down another pint of mead and reached in his crate
for some more...to find his crate empty, "Bloody oblivion!" he
shouted, "I'm out of mead!...well i suppose i must find something else to
occupy me while i'm here..."
Louis sat down by Arynel, "So tell me, what is your take on the magickal
college of conjuration?"

With a wave of his arm the lute vanishes.
"I find it quite interesting." Arynel answered. "Especially when
one realizes it has many uses beyond the battlefront."

Darius snaps his fingers and crates of brandy, flin, and sujamma are brought
forth.
"Ta-Da!" he says.

Hakan looked slightly irritated, "i'll kindly ask you
friend to return my ring, it's very important to me you see, and i'd rather not
see this get messy."
Louis noticed the two talking, keeping ready a Calm spell if it need be.

Allie laughed. "He's not a Nord... maybe he's... an
ATMORAN!"
Having made an obscure joke about the parentage of Septim, she turned her
attention to the conversation.

"Archie, that's beautiful! I see the moons... is that a crown in the
lady's lap?"
Yup! That's a crown! For Princess Allie the Chopper-Upper! And that's me
helping!

that was frowned upon by the empire."

"Perhaps you're thinking of Skooma," said
Louis,"though i can't be sure...i am no expert in alcoholic drinks and
addictive foods"
Hakan shot a piercing stare at Sekka waiting for his ring to be returned.

Sekka looks at the femal Nord angrily...they continue to mock
him..well he will show them "NO" a nordic voice rings, "you will
not show her ANYTHING is that clear?" sekka looks angrily at the bar
tender and asks for a room. He reluctantly agrees, and under his breath mutters
something like "i should really charge you for three" Sekka walks into
his room and turns in for the night...and people downstairs think they hear
voices the rest of the night.

Loranna-Azura watches people talking with a curious expression ...
... Is it normal for mortals to just suddenly stop paying attention to
whoever's talking to them like this? she asks Loranna.
... I think that's just the effects of the alcohol my Lady, Loranna
replies. Nothing to be worried about.

Rilis returned puffing his ebony pipe, being followed by a
large, white dog. He approached a barmaid.
"I'd like the best room you have. Also, if you could bring some food up,
I'd be grateful."
The barmaid nodded and showed him to the room.

Harg is busily drinking some filn - as in, a case.
"Heh; I have some good people working for me," Darius concurs.

Allerleirauh looked for some safe place to put the leaf... of
course. You pressed leaves in the pages of a book, for safekeeping. Surely
someone in a room full of scholars would have a book.

Louis, "but the mere thought of using sweetrolls as a divine sacrifice is

spoke to the innkeeper and asked him for whatever untaken room was left.
Hakan yawned, "i would trade all the Flin and brandy in Tamriel for a case
of mead," he sighed, watching Harg drink down his case of Flin. Hakan was
tired but not yet ready to end the party. He looked down at his belt with a

QUOTE(Glensather @ Oct 19 2004, 12:24 AM)
I glance toward Arynel. "It's a nice thought, though.
Daedra living with both Man and Mer. Speaking of which, I once heard a theory
from a Telvanni Sorcerer about just why they are so hostile."
I see Allerleirauh standing about, then grin. "Naked Nords are vile
things, you know. I've seen my fair share of those without clothes, standing on
the side of the road."
Finally, I look toward Loranna, and take a breath. My Saint... I think. What
can I say for you? What can I do for you?
Loranna's expression changes as her eyes shift from blue to green, and soon the
tigress features of Loranna-Azura look out upon everyone - though she seems
oddly content, even almost ready to purr.
She speaks mind to mind to [Glensather] For now my hand and arm, my eyes and
ears, my mouth and my star - I only ask that you relax, and listen, and if you
have counsul, to offer it freely and without fear. Later, though ... there will
be other tasks, requiring bravery and possibly sacrifice. But all in good time.
To the Argonain, as she catches the sweetroll, Loranna-Azura's face brielfly
looks slightly ... fearful. " ... Just before coming here tonight, I
thought to humor a mortal's wish to know what it meant to kiss a goddess. My
brother promptly swore to shatter your world like an egg after retching at the
sight ... my vessel I think you may dance with freely, but I am afraid for me
to dance with you would only inflame him right now - and I do not wish to
inflame him. I'm sorry."
Looking to One and Arynel, Loranna-Azura sighs " ... He isn't here now,
but ... I think you can see how at least some of my brothers and sisters feel.
Hircine, I think, still says he admires and respects any mortal who can
actually best him in his hunt, but I'm not so sure I put much stock in that. As
for the others ..." She shrugs helplessly.

I rummage through my scroll case for a brief second.
"Ah, here we go. Now, remember, this is just theory, but it is something
that I found interesting."
"When the Daedra who eventually became the Four Corners coalescened into
their current state, they manifested with them the Nirnian creation of sin.
Through this sin came the Daedric Princes we've all come to known and love. The
idea was, Daedra cannot exist peacefully because peace is absent from their
being. Created divinely by sin, they have no moral compass at all, especially
when it comes to Daedric Princes, who I believe are merely psychopathic in
nature. These creatures, as such, have no choice but to be evil."
"The Anticipations: Mephala, Boethiah, and Saint Azura (Blessed She Is),
cannot interrupt this. The reason is actually quite odd: There has to be
heroes. By "Hero", I mean, "One Without Evil". It's
impossible for either man or mer to not sin, but it is possible to have ones
with peace within them. And it's clearly evident that there are more men/mer
with evil in their hearts that those with good. 'Heroes' have to counterbalance
this. The Eternal Champion, the Hero of Daggerfall, the Nerevarine, and Tiber
Septim (who became Divine) are all examples of the required hero. They are a
counterbalance to the sin that makes up Daedra.

Allerleirauh rounded on Arynel. "Never say that! Though
they would have you believe it. This world was not made by them or for them.
There have been men before whom even the immortals trembled."
Posted by: Arynel Oct 19 2004, 06:42 AM
"My problem with this," Arynel says to Glensather,
"is that the Daedra, all the daedra, have always existed, and I do not
believe they are evil per se, but only act as it is their nature to act.
The Breton turns to Allie, "Yes, but I am not one of them."

I shift on my heels and look back toward Arynel. "As you said, the
universe began with a war. You can call them the forces of creation, but from
another prespective, they are the forces of right and sin. The reason that no
mortal is completely pure is that, because of the Creation, we, as mortals, are
the go-between. It is why there can be good, and there can be evil within
us."

Loranna-Azura raises her hands in a small shrug.
"And here is perhaps the most benign reason for me to seek out

isn't it?"
"I think the distinction is a matter of degree, good Arynel," she

Red Lion wakes up in a seat in a corner of the tavern. The first
light of dawn is visible through the windows. He obviously fell asleep,
exhausted from the journey, soon after he arrived with Solom, a really nice
dunmer who took him to Daggerfall on his ship. A goblet half full of Ancient
Dagoth Brandy stands next to him, the missing half had shown its effect. “Oh
my, I’m not used to drinking heavy stuff anymore.”
An open notebook lies on his lap showing some incomplete sentences along with
some quick notes. The quill must have fallen out of my hand as I tried to
take some notes on the discussion that was going on last night. Most of the
guests left the main room and went to bed, the room has been cleaned, a few
night birds sit around talking in low voices, the bartender swept the floor
again and a beautiful young Nordic lady is sitting rather in the middle of the
room, sleeping on her chair.
A pile of debris in a corner reminds him of a strange dream he had last night,
he can’t quite recall all of it but he has this strange music in his ears,
wild, metallic…
He moves over to the counter and orders a small breakfast: too many strange
thoughts on an empty stomach…I could follow that talk on rumors about the
reincarnation of Nerevarine but the discussion on peaceful Daedra…maybe I was
just too tired.
Putting his notebook into his bag brought to his mind, that he did not even
introduce himself to the host, Darius. “Great, first you are almost late,
you fall asleep on a seat not too long after having arrived and to top it all
you forget to introduce to the host, now if that doesn’t leave a good first
impression…” he grumbled to himself.

Movyn pulled his cloak around himself and shivered with the cold. It was
unfortunate, really, that he had been forced to come to Daggerfall, but Skyrim
had turned out to be far too cold for his liking. Those Nords were insane, he
considered, running around up there all the time, freezing to death... so he
had made his way over the week to Daggerfall, where an old friend of his had
been staying. And now this bloody rain.
He heard the meaningless noise of many people talking at once from slightly too
far away to make out what any individual was saying, and moved closer. Well, why
not? People had spoken of Lord Darius' upcoming party at the... what was it?
The Noble Seamstress' Spotted Owls. A strange name, indeed, but one which
certainly aroused some interest.
"anything to get out of the rain," he thought to himself, and made his

As the sun rose, Maranda was shaken out of her hypnistic gaze. It seemed she
had alot of these. Well, the party, or at least the first part of it seemed
over, as a rainstorm moved in... She decided to return to the tavern, it may be
morning, and everyone may be asleep, but this would give her time to sneak
around, searching for the person Meridia was talking about. Walking into the
bar, she saw a man standing at the counter, waiting expecingly for some dinner.
As the rain started comming down, another entered. Maranda sighed, and yelled

I'm tired. He thought with dull surprise. How long had it been since
he'd slept? It must have been days. There was too much to do to sleep
nowadays... there'd be plently of time to sleep when he died, and he intended
to put that off for as long as possible. The food tasted a bit like netch

Louis walks out of his room, and knocks on Hakan's to wake him
up. Hakan has always been one to wake up late. Hakan stirs and rolls out of bed
and falls onto the floor, he didn't even take off his armor last night before
falling asleep. He gets up, tightens his belt to make sure it's very secure,
and walks out, then finding it necessary to go around to all the rooms banging
on the door and saying "Up! Up! The midday sun is nigh everyone!"
Louis walks to the bar, "Some bread and two eggs thanks, if you have it,
and some water." Hakan yawns while walking to the main room of the tavern,
shouting hails to everyone he sees.

to follow. I can't hang around the forum all day long.

Movyn woke with a groan. He felt no better for having slept.
Strange, that....
He went down to the bar and ordered some plain bread. Surely the bread couldn't
taste so bad.... you can't go wrong with bread, right?
A large Nordic man strode cheerfully past him, and shouted "HAIL!"
very loudly within a few feet of him. The man was just awake, for gods' sakes.
Movyn grumbled darkly to himself and chewed the bread fiercely. He was never in
a good mood upon waking.

Hakan stretched a yawned for a few minutes before walking out
the door, to take a walk around town to stretch and awake his limbs.
Louis having finished breakfast sat in his chair with eyes closed, not sleeping
but only thinking, as he did so often.

Outside, the rain had cleared, and Allie's head felt clearer as
well. She slipped Archie's leaf into a pocket of her skirt, becoming invisible,
and stepped out of the main path, watching the sun rise, and the Bretons emerge
from their houses to go about their morning tasks. It had always fascinated
her, the way Bretons practically vanished at sundown, as if they feared the
dark itself. Dunmer were not so particular. But then, she supposed, in
Vvardenfell, witches were to be found in the wilderness; in High Rock, some
covens were bold enough to gather in towns...
It felt delicious to stand, invisible, watching the people swarm around her
like busy ants. Allie had never been a thief, never needed particularly to
develop any skill at stealth - though she was naturally quiet in all her
movements. She knew how to make potions of invisibility; indeed, she had
traveled for days while invisible in Morrowind, when she got bored with
fighting cliff racers. But watching people while invisible was a new pleasure.
Invisibility was, really, an easy trick, any four year old in High Rock could
do it. She wondered how many others stood unseen, watching.

Hakan came back to the tavern after his long walk, it felt good
to get some exercise. He thought he walked by someone, vaguely feeling their
presence, but looked and saw no one, so he sat at the bar next to Louis and
rustled him out of his deep thinking. He ordered some Flin and sat back,
waiting for something exciting to happen like the night before. Hakan noticed
the lack of energy in the room and thus began to sing..
"Uprose the king of men with speed
and saddled straight his coal-black steed!
Thrice pronounced in accents dread
the thrilling verse that wakes the dead
till from out the hollow ground
slowly breathed a sullen sound
On the dark bottom of the great lake
imprisoned lay the giant snake
with naught his sullen sleep to break
the knife prevails! far down beneath the main
the serpent, spent with toil and pain
to the bottom sank again.."

finishing her meal, Maranda stood up to find that the bar was
filling up. Slowly, yes, but filling up none the less. Slowly, she started
around the room looking for the marked person...

Hakan eagerly continues another:
"Above the maiden sitteth,
a wondrous form and fair
with jewels bright she plaiteth
her shining golden hair
with comb of gold prepares it
the task with song beguiled
a fitful burden bears it
that melody so wild
The boatman on the river
lists to the song, spell-bound
oh, what shall him deliver!
from danger threatening round
the waters deep have caught them
both boat and boatman brave
the sea's song hath brought them
beneath the foaming wave"

Reichi woke up in his room in the tavern.Nothing that might have
happened while he had been sleeping had woken him.He had been to busy having a
dream in which the wolf told him many things.Of how despite their diffrent
masters both performed their duties in a similar manner. How Reihci's bad luck
seemed to disapear when he transformed. That perhaps, because there was no god
of luck, that Mephala migh tbe to blame for his bad luck.It was a possibility,
in fact, rembering a passage from the 'Book of Daedra' Mephala's sphere was
obscured to mortals. Her only consistent element seemed to be Manipulating
mortals for her amusement.Could Reichi as a memeber of the Morag tong have been
given this bad luck for her amusement?
Another thing that was said was how Reichi was now afflicted, and that it was
very much permanent. That perhaps instead of trying to fight it, if he embraced
it fully and became one with it, he could master it.
Reichi considered the odd dream momentarily and then wander off downstairs in
search of breakfast.

Baxter awoke in the morning, the sun shining across the Iliac
Bay. Contemplating his options, Baxter prepares himself for another day of
danger and intrigue. Walking to the Captains quarters, Baxter informs the
Captain of a new plan . . .
"Captain, I will pay you thrice your fee, you will sail just off the coast
of Daggerfall, if you see any trouble what so ever coming from either
Daggerfall or White Haven, you will sail towards the shore, and await my
arrival either on foot or by recall. I'm returning to the tavern."
And with that Poof
Reappearing in the same dark corner of the tavern, Baxter calls over the

Baxter ponders his fellow guests. A servant of Meridia, a member
of the Morag Tong, there was a worshipper of Azura last night, and Lorranna or
Azura, that's alot of Daedric influence for one party. It was wise to get the
captain close to shore, perhaps another incident will occur. This time some
precautions have taken, but only so many can be rescued if such an event
occurs.
Poor Darius. If he knew that Imperial officials sought to have him executed,
but were persuaded to blame the situation, not the man. And now another event
such as the last may occur, at least precautions have been taken.

After a short pause he adds: "If you would excuse me, I want to make some

With that, he takes his mead and moves to a chair in a dim corner, opens his

While people talk among themselves, the hired help stays busy.
Melanus can be seen flitting back and forth, vigorously putting the tavern back
into immaculate shape, while Elaine handles scrubbing and washing detail, and
occasionally makes a comment to her fellow employee.
Samson and Harg both sit by the still-napping form of Loranna; with her legs
folded cross-legged and her eyes closed, she almost looks like she's
meditating. Only her bowed head suggests she's asleep instead.
" ... Wonder when she's gonna wake up," Samson says, munching on some
dried beef.
"The Fist of Harg thinks the young girl has been exerting herself a bit
overmuch," Harg rumbles with a craggy grin. "Still, she shows more
signs of muscle than when she danced last Hearthfire, so the Fist of Harg feels
it is only a matter of time before she can handle the rigors of a party like
you and he can."
"Harg, have I ever told you you should be a poet?" Samson quips.
"Many times," Harg replies.
Darius converses with the innkeeper, having a modest disagreement concerning
the money tossed hither and yon. "Now look here my good man; we've already
offered a more than generous overhead to cover just these sorts of things and
let you take five bags of gold to boot; I really don't see how you can argue
with a set up like this ..."

Reichi grabbed the amulet and examined it."Heh....unless
its some Ancient Artifact i doubt it will completely counteract any of my
luck."Reichi says but before Arynel could reply another man walked over to
Reichi.Saying something to the effect of "If you would be so kind as to
take another seat for a moment good sir we will see about repairing this
unfortunate break ..."
Reichi sighed, pocketed the amulet. And extracted the wakizashi from the
ground.The sheath however stayed put.
"Son of a gaur."
Melanus simply stares at the sheath.
Elaine comes by, still dressed in saucy tavern girl gear. "Oh ... sigh;
hang on ..." She attempts to remove the sheath from the floor.
Loranna gets up and makes a small breakfast for herself, as Samson and Harg
grumble about their break ending and get back up to patrol.

"I'll pass on the brandy, for now," he says. "What did I miss

Suddenly a tattered Khajiit bursts into the Tavern!
"Where is it?!? Where is the box!?!?"
The khajiit frantically shouted as he ran around the room searching under
chairs and tabels. He then finds the small wooden box, then symbols are nearly
gone.
"No it's too late! NOOOOOO!!!!!!"
The khajiit screams as he tries to throw the box elsewhere, but it was too
late...a swhirling black vortex opened up in the Tavern and engulfed the
Khajiit in an instant! The others were staring on in baffelment when the vortex
flashed a brilliant light then dissapeared...only a small piece of the blue
