Hello,
and welcome to our Elder Scrolls Role Playing threads, where we adventure and
socialize in the vibrant land of Tamriel.
Before we begin, we'd like to clarify a few things:
Loranna's Roleplay, while an open roleplay where everyone is invited to
join, is not a limitless or unregulated game. There are rules we have set
ourselves that make roleplaying easier and more enjoyable for everyone of us.
Please take the time and read the following guidelines carefully and, more
importantly, act according to them.
1. Have fun!
2. Fun does not mean you can do whatever you want, though.
Let us please clarify some points. While everyone is welcome to join in, they
are NOT welcome to jump in and do big, world-changing things without DISCUSSING
IT FIRST. Let's be very clear about what cannot be done without permission:
Affecting other characters:
Any action that effects another person's character, for ill or good.
Although most people realize they can't harm another person's character without
permission, many don't realize that you can't HELP another character without
permission, either. Many characters have flaws for a reason. Don't go healing,
saving, or otherwise fixing another character without DISCUSSING IT FIRST with
the player involved.
Major Events:
Any event that would drastically change things that have been done to the
world, whether the change is physical (rebuilding destroyed locations),
political(converting a population to a new cause), military (killing off all
the badguys) or anything else. Almost every situation, good or bad, that exists
in the RP was done for some reason. Don't go changing or fixing things without
DISCUSSING IT FIRST with the group.
For the purpose of coordinating this RP, backstage fun and discussing current
and future events, we have established a chatroom on chatspike.net, chatroom
#Loranna_RP. We strongly recommend that you have a glimpse in there, since it
is the easiest and most convenient way to discuss characters and settings,
explain rules, plan and give you the background information you need to play in
this RP. If you cannot get on the channel for some reason, or if the
player whose character you would affect with your plan is not there, then PM
them using this board's PM function. That's what it's there for.
If you do not have MIRC, you can http://www.chatspike.net/?p=javairc. Enter in
a nickname where prompted and hit Submit. You'll be asked if you want to trust
the signed applet. Hit Yes, and you'll be in the main chatspike channel. From
there, type /join #Loranna_RP You'll enter our chat channel and we can
talk to you.
Here are various other rules, tips and information you should take time
to read before joining this RP:
1. Background History:
Loranna's RP has accumulated a rich background history. Of course, no-one can
know all that has happened in this RP, but it is important that you have at
least an idea about the major events that took place during the last
one-and-a-half years. There are a few posts of Loranna that explain the history
of the RP from her character's viewpoint and a summary of the events in the RP
is in progress, you can find them
http://www.tc.umn.edu/~rhod0091/lrp/temp.html. Another summary is available as
text file from Nalion, please ask via our chatspike channel or per PM to Nalion
for the time being. We are working on a more permanent solution to provide this
information.
The chatroom #Loranna_RP on chatspike is probably the best and fastest way to
get yourself informed about the RP, just ask the moderators and long-time players
there if you need any information. They will gladly help you. It is also very
advisable to read up on the most recent posts and threads to become a grasp of
what is happening right now in the RP. This will significantly help you in
finding a way to join the action and will reduce the probabiliy of mistakes.
2. Reading and catching up on the RP:
We're a dedicated lot of players, and we love this RP. This means we put a lot
of effort in our posts, do a lot of planning and discussing to create our plotlines.
This requires time and dedication. And we require this of you as well. This
means, take your time to read the posts of the other players and take the time
to catch up on the plot if it progressed while you were away. This simplifies
your rejoin into the action. It is also a sign of respect to the other players.
If you don't have the time to read their posts, why should they bother with
yours, then?
Again, please let me repeat this, for it is very important. If you are not able
or willing to put time and at least reasonable effort in this RP, think again
whether you want to join this RP or not.
3. Gathering information
Gather information about the RP, be it asking in chat, by reading older posts
and getting up to date on the history or by asking via PM. No-one can know
everything, sure, but everyone can ask about what happened. We're glad to
assist! Again, this can not be done without some interest in the ongoings in
the RP, effort and a good bit of dedication.
4. Roleplaying
Roleplaying doesn't just involve making your character say something
(in-character chat). It also has a descriptive element. Motions and emotions of
your character, worries, joys, mimics, movements... we want to see them!
Describe how your character acts, this gives you a better grasp of your
character and will help your fellow players build up a relationship to your
character. It's not only action and big fights we have here in this RP, there
is a major social aspect to it as well.
5. Posting
Try to take your time to post. Yes, we are aware that there are hectic scenes,
like in big combats, where some things move faster, but is it in general a good
idea to look over your post again to check it. Yes, we know it sounds stupid
and obvious, but please care about spelling, punctuation and grammar. They are
not just things you learned in school once to forget afterwards. We are no
decryption experts. Those grammar rules have their meaning, and there are tools
out there to help you(word spell checker for example). Again, the chat is a perfect
way to ask for
time and coordinate with other players if you have problems.
6. Character control / multiple characters
Once more, about controlling characters that belong to other players: You
cannot control a character that is not your own (with a few exceptions, like
having talked to the player of the character beforehand). This means most
of the time the following:
* In combat, you can only try to attack another character, but whether
you hit him or how much damage is inflicted is up to the player of the
character, and only him/her.
* This applies to healing or helping the character as well; feel free to try
and offer help to a character, but let the other player describe the effects of
the healing/helping.
* Especially in combat, you have to work closely with the other players, the
chatroom is the best and easiest method to discuss these things.
Another thing related to this topic is referring or speaking to other
characters whose players are not online. If possible, try to avoid involving
characters when their player is not present. It ties down your character while
waiting for the other player to come back, and you don't know whether the
respective player has other plans when he is back.
Additionally, avoid generating scenes where you involve a character, affect him
with an action and finish the action before the player can react (stealing,
attacking, casting spells or similar actions). Example: No running up to
someone, rob him and run away to safety all in one post. This is a no go.
Controlling multiple characters. We have no written limits on how many
characters you may control; the limit is you. In general, it is very advisable
that you stick to one character when you are new to RPing. When creating a
character, it is VERY important that you consider your character carefully.
Again, this has something to do with effort and dedication. It is generally a
bad sign if you join up, post a couple of posts and then say you are bored with
this character and make a new one. Other players might get annoyed greeting and
introducing their characters to a new character when it is obvious that this
character will not last long because the player gets bored with the new
character. This RP is a social RP as well, and it is very difficult to socialize
with a character that is badly played, where you can see by the style of
writing that the player is already bored with the character and will throw him
away at the next opportunity. RPing is all about characters and your character
is your "representative" in this RP, your voice, your arm, your mind.
Please take this into account when creating and playing your character.
As a general rule of thumb, use only one character until you feel comfortable
with him, can control him, have fun with him and the character is established
in the RP. The rest will run automatically after a while when you get more
confident and experienced in RPing.
7. Secret plans
Secret plans and surprises are seldom fun for anyone else. Before they're
revealed they're boring, because nobody knows about them, and afterwards
they're just annoying, because nobody knew about them. Examples: Your character
suddenly remembers that he has a castles all over Tamriel and calls in troops
to help. Or: Your character suddenly reveals he is a spy of the Emperor and
knows everything.
8. Ingame consequences of character actions:
Morrowind the game was rather lenient when it came to direct consequences after
a character's action. This is not the case in our RP. There are laws and local
customs, and there are guards and other authorities that are there to enforce
them. So, starting tavern brawls, stealing, murdering, open assault and all
other related actions are very likely to be persecuted and punished (this can
go up from your character ending up in jail, being banished or to be executed).
This doesn't mean that there are no murders or thefts in the RP, but it does
mean that if you do that, be aware of the consequences your character will have
to deal with.
9. Additional helpful information:
Please make sure that you read the following post of Allerleirauh
http://www.elderscrolls.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=141737&view=findpost&p=2871855,
dealing with some of the above mentioned rules, as well as the hints on
character generation done by Loranna
http://www.elderscrolls.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=141737&view=findpost&p=3828224.
Please take the above mentioned rules and information into careful
consideration, they will help you in joining this RP quickly and are useful to
avoid problems. And more importantly: act according to them!
** Not following the above advice will only result in two things: your
post is likely to be completely ignored by everyone else as if it did not
happen and/or you are asked to leave the RP. This is obviously not good for
anyone, so please, discuss major events before doing them and act according to
the rules mentioned above. **
Thank you, and have fun!

homeland of Argonia.
Now imbued with powers of the Wamasaii he is more adept at shock magicka and
more resistant to said magicka as well.
He had spent a few days visiting his family, he had had a wonderfu time. Just
before leaving they had done one of the ritual dances of the Argonian people.
He also acquired a couple of adornments, scale inlays, glass beads permanently
set in his scales. On the back of his left hand was a Hist tree, on the right,
a Wamasus. He did not have enough money to enchant them yet.
His missing claw has been replaced with an ebony substitute, enchanted with
health absorption. [8]

Slashes sets his drink down and hold his hands closer to Reeds so the inlays

"They are glass beads, a form of decoration." He turns them, the
light plays off the blues of the Wamasus and the greens of the Hist tree.
"They are permanently imbeded in my scales, I will get them enchanted when
I get more money."
He pondered for a moment. "You would have liked the marsh. It would have

Slashes told Reeds about in his adventure in Argonia, and about the Wamasaii
and having some of their power.
"How was Summerset Isle? I heard that you went there, something about
rescuing a softskin daughter of a duke? I assume Her Grace had her rescued for

you've been busy."
Reeds couldn't help but laugh at Slashes' question, "Loranna really had no
part in it, and trust me, what we did could count as a political scandal."
Reeds proceeded to tell him the whole story, ending with their arrival in Ald

Slashes listened intently, Reeds had not told Slashes that he loved the Altmer.
"A most interesting story. It has been nice seeing you again, but I must
get back to my duties." He nodded towards Reeds and left the tavern. [44]
Vaan's Summary:
Vaan is wondering about the city, minding his own business. [45]
Loranna's Journal
I haven't felt this good in months, but I'm utterly worn out. I poured my tears
into this task all day and night, it feels like, and I can feel the effort
catching up to me. That's it for me now until the baby's born; I'll see my
friends off, wish them well, and Nine willing enjoy a hand-earned celebration
with them when they get back, but that's it for me now.
I still can't believe I thought to fly past the heavens by finding a cave I
passed by in my youth; I still can't believe I didn't get into deeper trouble
for trying.
I feel better than I have in a long time, but my joy is tinged with sorrow - or
maybe it's the other way around, that I finally managed to balance my sorrow
with joy. I almost wish I'd thought to look for this place earlier; after the
baby's born, when things settle down, I'm going to have to come back here, see
about making this place my own private sanctuary maybe. I may not be able to go
back to True Solunastra, but that's no reason not to pick out a summer home for
myself.
True Solunastra ... Allie, I miss you; if you can hear me now, I pray you'll
come back now, in our hour of struggle. Your lover needs help, and though I'm
not going to abandon Goranthir ... he could use you as well. But I remember you
telling me once, that your role was symbolic and largely ceremonial; we're
heores ourselves, and we don't need anyone to tell us anymore to rise up and
save the day. We'll prove this world is worth saving, that its beauty is worth
fighting for.

Loranna sighs as she finishes writing, placing her pen and ink back in her
satchel, carefully packing away the pages she just wrote. The fruits of her
labors were already packed away, along with the carefully-preserved eggshell
fragments, still bearing trace amounts of Hist sap and her silver tears. Her
cloak was once again around her shoulders, having served as her blanket when
she had finally sunk to the snow-covered ground, exhausted from her revels and
her labors.
She had a Mark set back at the castle, but she was still too worn out to focus
her magic; fortunately she habitually wore a toe ring which could cast Recall,
for emergencies. With a last, wistful look deeper into the cave, she heads out
into the now windy outside, watching for a moment as the snow blows around and
whips into her face, the banks and eddies reshaping under the wind's touch.
Loranna smiles, her eyes closed, and she kisses the snow that bushes her lips
as it blows by, and takes a deep breath of the crisp, cold air, then she stamps
her foot and the windswept snow is joined by a shower of magic as she
disappears, brought back to her room in the castle in Ald Raathim.
Sighing, she lays down the satchel and removes her cloak; her stomach finally
gets her attention and reminds her that she is ravenous as well as worn out,
and her mind reminds her that the Altmer armada should be arriving any time now
if they haven't arrived already. She would need to speak with her friends and
Morgiah and Glacia soon, but for right now, she was so very hungry ...[46]
Summary
Kethiah, ex-assassin, tavernkeeper, and new mother is at the Nymph and
Noggin, dividing her time between work and caring for her new son with her
husband Isidor, Eodir.
Alas and Alack, ex-smugglers, “priests” of Zenithar, the Duchess’s
import/export agents (and secretly, her Spymasters) are at the Resolution of
Zenithar, compiling reports on the war and the arrival of the Altmer ships.
Glacia Rysleire, displaced Altmer noble and the Duchess’s new diplomat
envoy has had a conversation with Reeds about their feelings for one another,
and is dividing her time between learning how the bookshop works, and preparing
for the battle against Mannimarco with Hlaalu Morgiah.
Hlaalu Morgiah, former Queen of Firsthold and sister of the King of
Morrowind, is in Ald Raathim, but is preparing to leave for Sentinel to help
organize the battle where it will occur.

Serjo Indoril Faryon, Governor of Kragenmoor,
I have recently been honored by the Duchess of Ald Raathim, Her Grace Sera Dres
Loranna Pyrel, and appointed her diplomatic envoy, and as such it falls to me
to reply to your letter offering assistance in the battle against our mutual
foe, Mannimarco, the so-called King of Worms. It would indeed be in our best
interests, and in the interest of all of Morrowind and Tamriel, to lay aside our
arms against one another, and face this threat as brothers.
Might I suggest a meeting on neutral territory? The district of Tel Dresori, as
you know, lies in ruins and is uninhabited. I have been informed that in its
center is a temple that survived the cataclysm that befell it, a temple
dedicated to St. Meris, a monument to cooperation between the Houses.
Our plans to do battle with the Worm King are nearing fruition, and it would be
best for us to meet soon if the offer still stands.
Yours respectfully,
Glacia Rysliere of Ald Raathim [47]

Faryon read the letter carefully, then read it over again. He then called for
his Spymaster who showed him were Tel Dresori was.
'Thats aufully close to enemy territory, I would prefer a meeting in a place
where noone could get ambushed so easily' Faryon said
'Like where, my Lord?' Valdoon asked
'Like Cheydinhal or someplace'
'Go, if you go you will be seen as the bigger person, meeting your enemies on
thier terms on thier territory,'
'Anything else?'
'Go alone. A friend of mine gave me this ring for protection, called the Ring
of the Shadow Mind. If things get hairy, use it to distract the enemy before
making your escape'
'Very well,' Faryon took the ring and placed it on his finger, 'send the reply
that I will meet them in Tel Dresori,' he begain to walk out the door
'Where are you off to?' Valdoon asked
'Where else? Tel Dresori' Using his left hand, he set a mark, and Faryon made
his way to the roof, and the Parrapton platform, as Valdoon got to writing the
report. Three minutes later, and it was at the mages guild. Ten Minutes later,
it was at Ald Raatham. Magic was an amazing thing [52]

The fires had long since burned out, but the wind blew black ash billowing up over

Dunmer sorceress named Xyllina who could activate the Guild transport system,
and a Dunmer priest of the Tribunal Temple, Kena Nerim.
The three walked silently through the desolation until they arrived at the
Temple of St. Meris. It was as Xyllina remembered: a somber sepulcher

they waited for their enemies in the Civil War of Morrowind to arrive.

In all honesty, I did not think Loranna would accept our offer, however, I can send a good number of my troops to assist your operation if you need them'

"The Duchess was surprised and delighted to receive your letter,"
Glacia replied, and then began explaining what was known about the situation in
Scourg Barrow, the death aura that stretched across Ephesus, and the parties
who had volunteered their assistance. She explained that Loranna and the heroes
were finding a method of combatting this aura, and that a combined army of the
various parties was being organized to take position in the Dragontail mountain
to move against Mannimarco when the defenses were done.
"It will be a dangerous mission," the diplomat said simply. "And

Anya laid on her back, staring at the ceiling. She was glad to have kept a

At the mention of the the impending mission, Anya pursed her lips, "I need

Shaka, "You're not going, are you?" [97]

Summary for P'Rassha:
The giant khajiit entered the Nymph and Noggin after putting the last efforts
in the reconstruction of an abandonned tradehouse. During the last days,
devoted (and well-paid) Dunmer helped him transform the rubbles into a
giant-sized stable. He even had a large quantity of sand transported into Ald
Raathim from the shores.
His efforts surely raised several questions among the residents, but the
bipedal jaguar politely left them all unanswered. For now, though, he is just
trying to find a waitress and, consequently, a good glass of milk. [165]

P'Rassha noticed Nalion talking to the redguard, and needed a few seconds
before finally understanding what was going on.
"Friend Shaka? P'Rassha asked with a loud voice. Is it really you?
P'Rassha doesn't believe it. It's incredible." [241]

"So you have made it, Shaka. My congratulations!", a voice said from
the corner of the bar. "This will take some time to get used to, for all
of us."
Nalion joined the group around Shaka with a smile on his face.
"Will we have to learn a new name?", he asked.
[245]
Shaka hugged the Breton. "Thank you, Nalion. . . . I'm going to keep the
name Shaka, though I considered whether to add a last name. Na'Raathim or
something. But no, it'll be just Shaka at this point. My full name is too long
for everyday use anyway," he concluded, smiling.
Shaka reached up to try to put a hand on P'Rassha's shoulder. "Good to see
you this day too, my friend."
He looked back at Kethiah. "I had even thought of going to the Daedra and
bargaining to change my race, if you can believe it. Luckily I wasn't quite
that desperate or foolish." Shaka mused at Kethiah's words for a second.[246]

her eyebrows at Glacia's news. "He should count himself lcuky; I
still remember his handling of the emancipation and the consequent slave
riots," she says. "On the other hand, I should count myself
lucky too; pregnant Nords and officious Dunmer rarely mix; well done,
dear."
She picks up the sash and looks back at Morgiah, wondering if the enchanted
article would go with her outfit.
[250]
Morgiah chuckled, looking into Loranna's eyes. "Pray, don't force on me a
gift that was rejected by the Indoril. Now, I should go. I hope to see you both
in Sentinel in a few days."
The former Queen left with a bow.
"She seems to think you're going to Sentinel too," Glacia frowned.[251]

tools. We have the Spellbreaker and the five Swords of Saint Meris to
call upon, as well as our own resources and the Masque of Clavicus Vile, which
already has a chosen bearer."

"I also volunteer my sword arm to wield one of these weapons."
Valerius adds, "But make sure I can hold it in one hand, I wouldn't dream
of going into battle without my shield." [440]
Athaso stood from his
table and gathered around Loranna as the others did. He once again saw familiar
as well as unfamiliar faces and wondered to himself, these people cannot
possibly have already met eachother; it seems new ones come off the streets
every day...
At the mention of a dragon, Athaso got inwardly excited, but hid it well. He
raised his hand, "I will go where I am needed with whatever weapon you
should have me use." [441]

"Are we ready then? Loranna, the elixirs?"
[445]
"The elixers are ready," Loranna confirms, briefly thinking about her
foolishness from before, then putting it out of her mind. "There should be
enough to go around, Dibella willing."[446]

"I would rather turn to the more pressing matters as well, such as
planning our next steps and then move forward quickly. Goranthir was growing in
power when we met him in Ald Sotha, and it has been three months since then. I
fear that every moment we dawdle, our chance to turn our friend back to his
true self might dwindle.", Nalion said, the worry still on his face.
Goranthir had been a hero of the spheres and a friend - a friend who needed all
their help now.
The mage turned towards the new face.
"I fear that you have no idea what you are volunteering for.", Nalion
said, with a frown and pity on his face. "Your offer to help honours you,
but at the same time, volunteering to help people who you don't know and who
don't know you, especially in such a situation, is unwise at best."
"Those who will not be with the ones going into Scourg Barrow should join
up with the forces gathering in Sentinel.", another familiar voice said,
then Gistral joined the small crowd, closely followed by Dana. "I
volunteer to fight in the army.", the Redguard warrior said, hand on his
sword.
"And I will be there, too.", Dana answered with a frown, pushing her
dark red hair out of her face. "Thinking back to Tel Dresori, I fear I
would not be of use in Scourg Barrow... it.. it would break me. Perhaps it is
better to support the troops."[550]
''Do you know why I insist on doing this...?'', Milthis said. He thought again of his family, how he had to dig the grave of his own mother and father and lay them to rest himself... the worst part was his brother was never even found. "I have nothing in this life to live for...'' [551]

"Serjo, I don't even know your name," Loranna points out to Milthis.
"All I do know is, you seem very insistant on joining a group of
adventurers, none of whom you know, on a mission you know little to nothing
about, because you 'have nothing in this life to live for' - which doesn't
exactly spark confidence."
She shakes her head. "Forgive my speaking plainly, but you're as yet
unknown and unproven; I won't ask my friends to go into battle with an unknown
and unproven person, nor would I ask an unknown and unproven person to go on
such a deadly mission to begin with. If you truly wish to help, then follow Gistral
and Dana's example here - volunteer to fight with the army which will be
waiting for our signal." [561]

"We will see your skills when we are mustering the army in Sentinel, but
as for now, I can tell you for sure that with these steel weapons, you will not

says. "Spellbreaker is a legendary shield meant to be used against
wizards; it can reflect magic and silence mages from afar, and for this mission
it has been blessed by priests of Arkay."
" ... And we really want people skilled in swordsmanship AND using shields
to be wielding these artifacts," she continues, "and we need to get

[625] Nalion harrumphed audibly,
then tapped with his staff on the floor to try to get some attention to his
words.
"As I have said, we do not have much time. I think Alas and Alack's news
from Hammerfell speak this out clearly for everyone to see. To the matters of
the sword. I would propose Isidor, Reichi, Erenius and Valerius to take up one
of these swords each. That leaves one sword, and Spellbreaker. I know that Gram
is proficient with both sword and shield.", Nalion said, trying to steer
the conversation to come to a solution.

"There is also Ingmar, Slashes, Dar'Tessir ..." Glacia rattled off
the names of the other heroes she had met in town. She blushed a moment when
she thought of Reeds Saloat. She had talked him out of volunteering, but she
wondered if that was wise. They could use him, no doubt.

"We're going to need everyone to help, even if only a select few go to
Scourg Barrow," Loranna says grimly. "Geht's gambit with the dragon

The tavern had filled up with the usual crowd of merchants and aristocrats,
locals and visitors, and Alas and Alack, not being much good at planning
battles, had drifted away from the group to chat with the others in the tavern.
Apparently, there was something interesting going on, by the sound of the buzz.
Alack and Alas, intrigued by something they had heard, stepped out of the Nymph

"Three naked women," a shocked merchant was saying. "Came

If her aim were to catch them before anyone else saw them, she was too late.
She merely followed the crowds to the Village Green, where the three women were
surrounded by a moving circle of locals, whispering and wondering as the
followed the three naked women in their somewhat rambling wanderings.
It was the three witches from the woods, who tended the shrine of Nirn. The
merchant who said they were "wrong in the head" may have been unkind
but he wasn't inaccurate. Their expressions seemed dazed, terror-struck by
sights that only they seemed to see, clutching at one another, as they murmured
words that made no sense.
"Arena-bound, cradle torn, she is the Life," the girl whispered.
"She walks blind, she walks dying, she walks without pause," the
woman murmured.
"She has the Life of Dawn's Beauty and the Dragon Land, the Elder Wood and
the Coral Kingdoms," the crone moaned. "But death is all around
her!"

While moving forward to embrace the women reassuringly, Loranna puzzled over
the meaning of the frightened utterances the three blinded women made,

familiarity ...
... and then, after a few moments, she understood.
"Dibella ..." she whispered softly, hugging the girl tightly.

The Shrine of Nirn
Deep in the woods beyond the village, there lay a twisted tree, its branches
and roots clutching at a collection of boulders, forming a rude circle around a
tiny, muddy garden. The three witches led Loranna into the circle ...
The Dragontail Mountains
Loranna was suddenly on a mountain peak. A dark wind blew over it, through
blackened, dead trees and withered mummified bones. She could see for miles
around, and there was nothing but death.
But she felt no breeze, and when she looked at her hands, they were
transparent. She was but a spectre. Her soul was thousands of miles away, but
her body was still in Ald Raathim.
The shades of the three witches were with her too. The crone pointed off to the
east.
"There she walks," she said.
Taolle was a tiny figure in the vast mountain range, an ancient Bosmer,
wrinkled and weak of flesh. Her eyes were white and blind. She barely would
take one step and then fall, and groaning, pull herself up and continue her
relentless journey.
As she touched the dead, black ground, grass would spring up. As she touched a
tree for support, it would bud and then bloom.
The moment she passed, however, the ground and tree would darken and die in the
cold power of the death aura. [705]

Loranna feels her eyes grow moist, the tears stinging her eyes; she had cried

Still, the witches looked at her with striking, serious eyes.

And now, to step out of the Arena for a moment and onto the stage.
Playing Houses is now, officially, the longest-running chapter of the Loranna
RP to date, and has covered a great many events. It's almost wth reluctance
that I hereby announce that this chapter of the role play has now come to an
end. The final attack against Mannimarco shall occur in its own chapter, War of
the Wormgod.
This next chapter, I predict, will be a short one, focusing solely on the
conflict which we have set up over the past few months. We will see how well
the heroes of Ald Raathim fare against the ever-encroaching death that awaits
in the west. This will also be the last RP chapter for our role play during the
time period between Morrowind and Oblivion; after War of the Wormgod has
finished, there will be a reflections and epilogue thread to tie up any loose
ends and to set the scene for our characters in the final days before the
events of Oblivion, and then the RP will take a haitus for a month or two,
while we all play the new game till the wheels fall off.
Since we are entering the grand finale of our pre-Oblivion RP campaign, I am
hereby stating that we are not accepting any new
players until after we start up again post Oblivion. We apologize
for this arbitrariness, but it's not a good idea trying to shoehorn new faces
into the plot when you're playing out the last battle. Everyone will be welcome
once we start up again.
So, for the last time for Playing Houses, I give the curtain call:
LOCK ON!!!
