The Elder Scrolls Forums _ Elder Scrolls Lore _ RP: high Rock Highjinks

Posted by: Loranna Apr 2 2005, 02:40 PM

Hello all, and welcome to RP that comes after the RP: Blue Dawn smile.gif

In this thread, we start tackling some of the loose ends remaining after the defeat of the Azurites. Currently, our heroes quest to find a cure for Illidan's vampirism, though adventure and mystery await them in High Rock.

Everyone who is involved in the RP is welcome in the mIRC chat channel #Loranna_RP. If you have a plot idea then you are encouraged to go there and discuss it. If you cannot get on the channel for some reason, or if the player whos character you would affect with your plan is not there, then PM them using this board's PM function. That's what it's there for.

For information on reaching #Loranna_RP via Mirc or Chatspike, look http://sekkairc.freewebpage.org/.

EDIT: Time to break this out again smile.gif

Hello, and welcome to our Elder Scrolls Role Playing threads, where we adventure and socialize in the vibrant land of Tamriel.

Before we begin, we'd like to clarify a few things:

This is an 'open roleplay' and everyone is encouraged to join in at any time!

'Open' roleplay does not mean 'unorganized' or 'limitless', however. The events in this story are usually planned, and if something BIG happens, you can be certain that it is the result of much discussion between players, usually in the mIRC chat (#Loranna_RP). This is not just a bunch of disorganized individuals doing what they think would be fun for their character at the time.

So, while everyone is welcome to join in, they are NOT welcome to jump in and do big, world-changing things without DISCUSSING IT FIRST. Let me be very clear about what cannot be done without permission:

1:
Any action that effects another person's character, for ill or good. Although most people realize they can't harm another person's character without permission, many don't realize that you can't HELP another character without permission, either. Many characters have flaws for a reason. Don't go healing, saving, or otherwise fixing another character without DISCUSSING IT FIRST with the player involved.

2:
Any event that would drastically change things that have been done to the world, whether the change is physical (rebuilding destroyed locations), political (converting a population to a new cause), military (killing off all the badguys) or anything else. Almost every situation, good or bad, that exists in the RP was done for some reason. Don't go changing or fixing things without DISCUSSING IT FIRST with the group.

Not following the above advice will only result in one thing: your post is likely to be completely ignored by everyone as if it did not happen. This is obvously not good for anyone, so please, discuss major events before doing them.

Remember: Secret plans and surprises are seldom fun for anyone else. Before they're revealed they're boring, because nobody knows about them, and afterwards they're just annoying, because nobody knew about them.

Thank you, and have fun!

Summary for Loranna:

After having learned her maps in Ald Raathim need updating, Loranna is now in Menevia, specifically in the
Temple of Dibella. She and Slyvos are receiving instruction from the temple priestess Vannrya.

Loranna is feeling warm and affectionate, though seeing Slyvos seem a bit pensive is bringing a worried frown to her face - and a reassuring embrace.

Posted by: Dagoth Lich Apr 2 2005, 02:52 PM

Slyvos just smiles a bit whispering, 'Don't worry, I'll be fine... it's just that this place is very strange...'

OOC summary:
Nalion is currently occupied with scholarly pursuit in the
Dibellan Temple in Menevia.
Subject today: "How not to offend the Goddess of Beauty"

ooc:

There really is a Dibellan temple in Menevia... we went there, we checked it out, but we can't post screenshots because those Dibellans were too darned naughty! Ah, I miss the old days of TES.

For those who want to join the main party, there are several nice inns in Menevia, including the one attached to the stable which is called The Black Huntsman. At the temple of Dibella there are living quarters, rooms for people who prefer to discuss religion while clothed, a room full of sacred temple prostitutes, male and female, private rooms with um... stuff I'm not allowed to discuss here, and a room for Temple business, which contains a Daedric summoner (only for Temple members), the High Priestess (currently engaged in conversation with Tris), a woman who sells very unique potions, and a large coffer full of the Temple's funds with a single priestess guarding it.

Donations are welcome, and a small donation will allow you to become a member of the Cult of Dibella.

(OOC:)

It's very difficult to properly describe the setting and mood of a Dibellan temple without stepping over the lines of decency. Therefore, in an unconventional effort to assist the imagination, I shall list a few completely random words:

pork
vibrate
clamshell
bulbous
pie
invert
pianist

Thank you.

OOC SUMMARY: Roggar is in Dibella's Temple, and Tos'un is outside, plotting to kill those that have already gotten on his badside, and committing thievery.

(This is my first RP thread, so I would appreciate any suggestions anyone may have and tell me if i made any lore mistakes.)

Cyrcius cursed yet again, for not doing the proper background research on the daedra-spawned captain that left him in High Rock. As a influential member of the Thieve's guild in Morrowind, the wood elf had been asked to look into some business in Skyrim. The captain he had hired however, first tried to drug him, but when he confronted the man, a storm blew them off course. When the storm abated, they found themselves off the High Rock coast. The thuggish captain and his crew then attacked, in an attempt to rob Cyrcius Desaan. He fought bravely, but was rendered uncouncious, and when he awoke, he had washed up on the High Rock coast with his boots, his clothes, and an iron dagger that had been hidden in his boot.

*Clank* *Clank* Sekka walked into the tavern near the temple. This town had a Temple of Dibella, and where there was a temple there was pilgrims, and the funny thing about Temples of Dibella is that they attract much less "pious" pilgrims then temples to other gods, and the funny thing about these pilgrims is that thier minds are seldom on thier money...for some reason they think about the "temple" all the time...

"Lets visit the temple...NO, were here to make some money...but...NO...YES, I MUST HAVE RELIGION...when did your little Nord self get religious?...Ive always been religious!...no you havn't...but...NO!!!...argh, could we atleast get something to drink...NO!...YES, shut up both of you!"

Cyrcius walked down the road he had discovered while wandering near the beach. He had given up all hope, at least for the time being, of taking his vengeance on the sea captain. Thinking, he decided finding a town would be his first priority. If he remembered correctly, the Thieves guild in the area had a contact who worked for the Temple of Dibella.

A handful of the drunkards at the bar glanced nervously at the silent figure in the corner of the room. He sat there without a word, cloaked in black with a face-covering hat to match.

That which was not covered was snow white. Pale beyond pallid. Like a vampire.

There were many in the Empire, a strong majority, who accepted the man wherever he wandered, for a vampire to them was easily recognizable - and this was no vampire.

Yet there were always those few. Those few who had plagued him all of his life, from before he could speak - that long had they worked to keep this creature of vampiric appearance from being gifted those rights which all subjects of the throne took for granted.

It was those few who had taken from him everything. Their fears, their hatred, their fiery anger fueled by a terrible condition that was his by birth - they were the sort of people who sat around in bars at night, every night, drinking. People who had stopped a child who had done them no harm from learning, when he could have been the best of students. People who had barred him from playing with their children, for fear that he would in some way harm them. People who had haunted him from the first day of his life to this very day, people who had thrown a poor little boy from his home whilst killing his parents and burning the house - people!

People who were afraid.

He loathed fear. Fear was that vile emotion that had drizzled upon him at birth and now struck him violently like a torrential storm, unstoppable in its fury.

You could never tell what fear might drive. What it might cause to happen.

It was fear that had ruined his life.

He sat in silence.

Tos'un pulled a bloody, yet glowing, tanto out of a local nobleman, in his mansion. He took the body in his arms and layed it on the ground. The nobleman's last energy was spent caught in the stare of Red eyes. Demon eyes is what the noble thought as he died. Tos'un carved a 'T' over the heart of the man and cut out the heart. This he discarded next to the body. He promptly went to work taking all the valuables that had belonged to the nobleman. It consisted of mainly gold, but he also found a little note. It read,

'Dear Caius,
I had fun at the temple to Dibella, and I was wondering if you would want some more of what I gave you."

This nobleman's name had been Caius. Tos'un wondered briefly of what he could have recieved, but then he remembered a few facts about the Goddess Dibella. He also remembered that some of her crazed followers were around here. He quickly left the house in search of the
Temple, and found it almost immediatly. He slipped on his Chameleon Ring and walked inside. NOW he knew what Caius had recieved. He heard a few things coming from behind a door, and decided quickly against investigating. This place was a bore to him, so he left. He strode over to the tavern and took off his Chameleon ring. He also replaced his mask into a pouch, and put his hood down. A small scar ran along the cheek, but was covered by a shock of stark white hair.

QUOTE(Arynel @ Apr 2 2005, 02:54 PM)

Void Ranger Guildhouse, Daggerfall:

Arynel had arrived some time ago, silently, as was the usual method of his entry.  The Breton had taken a seat by the hearth, and here he remained, though quite some time had passed, and his eyelids had grown heavy and sleep had found him once for a time.  Now, though, he sat awake, alert but relaxed, and gazig into the dancing flames.

*

Arynel's attention was drawn by the thumping of boots coming down the stairs from above, where the broken stair was. It was easy to recognize Tris's step; even now, after he had learned to walk with an even tread if he concentrated, the ivory and gold leg made a different sound than the ordinary one.

"I can't believe it, I just got lectured by my grandma, I feel terrible," Tris said.

"So, every morning I give Herwyn Brand, Queen Elysana's spymaster, a Rose of Wayrest. It's like a game, I can't get into the Dome, but I leave it for him somewhere along the path he takes to work with a little note. And every morning he takes a different path, so it's tricky. He tries to catch me by veering off at the last moment, but every time so far I've gotten him. It's not dangerous, I don't leave the Void to do it, just drop the rose.

"No fear of getting caught, right? Well, as I was plucking the darned rose from a mansion garden outside the city, this creakety old voice says, 'Don't steal my roses, young man,' and then I got an hour long lecture on the care of roses and how difficult they are to raise. Well, I offered to pay for them and she stared right through me, and the end result is I'm spending next Tuesday working in Lady Grisiana's garden under her watchful eye. And I missed Herwyn walking to work. I'm going to have to be more careful in the future."

Tris dropped into a chair across from Arynel.

"Everyone's at the
Temple of Dibella in Menevia. Getting laid, last I checked. You coming? I promise, you can keep your clothes if you really want to."

Arynel's face went red and he clutched his stomach as he laughed. The Breton took a few breaths and set himself upright again.

"Ah, picking roses, a flower then, your eye does spy, and so your hand it goes to pluck." Arynel mused. "No, I am not like that, I find a beauty in letting them lay, I will go, but I do plan to leave the flowers untouched."

"I know about you and flowers," Tris said, stretching. "All except one, and good luck breaking that stem. Well, I should be getting back, Loranna's probably set the place on fire by now. I tell you, it takes a certain amount of self-restraint not to watch these people from the Void in a place like that. They're lucky I'm an initiate, I've taken an oath to keep the secrets of the
Temple. It doesn't do to think too much about what Mirea sees and knows, though."

He stood up. "I'll be there after I check in with Ciel. See you."

Arynel nodded to Tris, and returned his attention to the dancing flames.

A moment later, a string of power was voiced by the Breton's lips and he was hither for not without complacency.

Arynel found himself in Menevia. The Breton made his way to the
temple of Dibella.

Menevia, in the House of Dibella

Vannyra, Priestess of Dibella, had demonstrated the forms of touching, the forms of kissing, and the correct forms of striking; she was in the process of demonstrating the various forms of biting when she noticed that the young woman's flesh was no longer peach-pink but ashen, like a Dunmer's. Vannyra gasped and sat up. The light was soft and indirect, coming from carefully shaded round lanterns hung from the ceiling, but not so dim that it wasn't instantly obvious that her female companion's hair was no longer red, but full and curly and golden blonde, her face streaked with silver like frozen tears.

Menevia was a long way from Vvardenfell, and Tamriel was a big place, with many countries and many conflicts. Still the transformation was alarming.

"What under the moons are you supposed to be?" she gasped.

Loranna was, by this point, already shivering with anticipation, and her eyes were closed. Vannrya's sudden exclamation causes her to open her eyes, he expression caught between radiantly happy and lovely, tearstreaks seeming to catch the light just so, and confused and worried.

"Huh? What?" she asks, trying to bring herself back to coherence. "I'm a woman in love, why? I can't be doing it that wrong ... can I?"

She looks at Slyvos, hoping she didn't just squeeze him too tightly or smother him by accident.

Posted by: Dagoth Lich Apr 3 2005, 08:46 AM

Slyvos was shaken out of his current 'state' from that sentence.

'I think she was doing fine.... oh, I see what she means... Loranna, your skin... you might want to look at it...'

Loranna begins chuckling a little. "Oh dear; I think my potion just wore off - or else it doesn't work while I'm aroused ..."

"You're some sort of halfbreed?" Vannyra asked. She had backed away; now she put out a smooth, manicured hand to stroke Loranna's cheek. "I don't see why you hide it, the effect is striking. Although I've heard the Dunmer are considered cursed. We have a half-Dunmer priestess, you know, one of the novices."

Loranna smiles a bit as Vannrya touches her cheek. "Thank you; that's very sweet of you to say," she says, touching Vannrya's hand.

"But actually, I'm a full-blooded Nord; I'm actually cursed, like the Dunmer are. As for hiding it - well, there's some people in this area of High Rock that I'd prefer not to bump into, and I'm kind of distinctive."

She looks down a little. "I don't mean to come into the

The woman laughed a deep, throaty laugh, and made a gesture with her hands. Instantly she transformed from a voluptuous, older woman, medium-skinned, with rich brown hair and brown eyes, to a slender, youthful maiden with cornflower blue eyes and curly, strawberry blonde hair.

"Which is the illusion?" she said. "Do I pretend to be older than I really am to increase my authority and seem less threatening to young couples such as you, or do I pretend to be younger than I really am to make myself seem more innocent, more fertile, less like a temple prostitute who has been with thousands of partners and more like an ordinary girl? It depends on the situation, of course."

Loranna laughs, feeling foolish for having been worried that Vannrya might take offense at her disguise.

"The illusion is just the outward form - the true beauty shows forth no matter which guise you're wearing," she answers. "... Seeing as how my potions aren't exactly reliable now, I think I ought to learn how to do that myself."

She looks over at Slyvos with a smile. " ... Though I was rather interested in that technique you were just about to show us too ..."

Several hours later, Loranna had learned many things, including greater skill at illusion.

Tohe

Meanwhile, while everyone else was busy getting laid, Tohe was preparing for his duel with the Jester. He had purchased a Iron cuirass, guantlets, and a Iron helm with a odd, T-shaped slit to see out of. Someone said it once belong to some famed criminal hunter, but the low price made Tohe doubt that. He put the guantlets, cuirass, and helmet on, and sheathed his Silver saber at his side. Preparations complete, Tohe headed to the location the Jester had said to meet at.

It was Sunset...

Menevia, the Green Pit Tavern

Frostien Marcelle walked into The Green Pit. The middle-aged breton looked around with his hazel coloured eyes, and saw that the tavern was almost empty. Feeling a breeze blow through his short, greying, but still blonde, hair, he closed the large door, which dwarfed the short man. The wooden floorboards creaked under the portly breton's weight. His shining ebony armour also added to his weight, and some of the patrons wondered if the floorboards would hold. He stepped up to the bar and sat on the groaning stool.

"A glass of your finest chardonnay, please." He said, his thin lips barely moving on his round, deeply tanned face. While he waited for his drink, a thin Altmer walked over to him.

"The guild appreciates the work you are doing for them, conjurer. If you keep finding these kinds of artefacts, you may find yourself being an evoker sooner than you think. Found anymore on your latest raid?" the altmer said in a high pitched voice that seemed better suited for a bosmer.

"I'm afraid not, Undil, but I do have a lead on the location of a very nice dwemer mine." Frostien replied in his deep voice, a hint of a nordic accent coming through. He took a sip from the glass that had appeared on the counter.

"Ah, excellent work, looks like we may have to hire a few more adventurers to help fully explore these mines, if your lead turns out to be valid. Well, I must go now, keep up the good work." Undil replied happily, walking out of the tavern.

Sitting in the tavern reminded him of the many times he had been here as a child. Back then, his father had been the bartender, and he often helped clean the tables after closing time. After Frostien's mother, Annarie, had gone missing, his father went mad, and was locked up in an asylum, leaving Frostien to take care of himself.

I think I'll go visit Marien at the House of Dibella, it's been a while since we've seen each other, and we need to talk.

He finished his drink and left, making his way to the temple.

The jester was already at the marketplace. So were many others. The square had been cleared for the duel, and a ring of townsfolk stood awaiting the show.

As Tohe pushed his way through the crowd of people, one muttered to another, "So, is that today's victim?"

"Aye, looks to be. Wonder what this one did," said the other.

"Hard to say. Maybe he sneezed. Well, at least he looks prepared. I'll lay twenty on him."

"You're a fool... And you're on."

The 'jester' stood across the square. He had traded his bright, particolored tights for sleek grey ones, and he wore a beautifully rich, golden-orange velvet doublet. Fine silk ribbons tied his spotless linen shirt closed. His face, devoid of orange makeup, was that of an older man, in his forties at least, but fit. At the sight of his approaching opponent, a wry smile broke beneath his hawk-like nose.

He pointed at the approaching man with an elegant, silver-hilted sword and laughed.

"Oh, I say. This IS rich. Can you move in all that? This is a duel, Sir, not a battle. I had thought you uncowardly, but now I stand ready to change that opinion. Shall you insist on wearing armor?"

Nalion woke when the last rays of the setting sun touched his face. He lay on several cushions, Carolyra besides him. She was skilled, not only in the arts which would be expected. They had had a long talk, about the current situation in Menevia. The little kingdom in the Iliac Bay with Dibella as patron goddess faced difficult times, since it was annected by the Akatosh-dominated Wayrest.
It had been pleasant to listen to Carolyras soft voice and the information she gave him was valuable to him, filling the gaps of his knowledge due to Nalions self-chosen exile from home.
"Thank you dear." The mage kissed Carloyra gently on the cheek and left the chamber, not without leaving another donation to the temple in her hands. Nalion's steps were bound for the marketplace. By the time he had left his temple, he was the sincere mage again.

A short walk later, he arrived at the ring of townsfolk that had gathered around the duelists.

Menevia: Tris

Tris entered through the stable, which was the best concealed place to pop in from nowhere. There was a gathering outside in the square.

The duellist in the orange doublet looked vaguely familiar, but he couldn't place him. Of course, thanks to his past association with Domnar the Invincible, Tris knew most ranked High Rock duellists. And this fellow would undoubtedly be ranked. You could see it in his stance.

Tris joined the audience.

Frostien found his way through the market place blocked by a croud of spectators. Not another bloody duel, is it? Can't that stupid jester stop taking things so seriously?

He walked through the crowd, but decided to watch, rather than continue walking.

Tohe shrugged, tossing the armor odd before drawing out his saber. "Just don't whine to much when i beat you old man," Tohe replied with a grin. "This saber's felled far worse than a Jester."

Posted by: w0nders Apr 3 2005, 09:57 AM

Dante pushed his way to the front of the crowd of spectators, and raised a small brown pouch high above his head. "200 drakes on the youngin'!" He shouted, causing whispers to break out in the crowd. He then made his way towards the jester, where he whispered loudly. "Hey, clowny...take a dive. Will ya?"

The quite un-jester-like jester watched, smiling, as his opponent stripped off his armor.

"Has it now, Sir? I feel sorry for the rats."

A few of the gathered crowd laughed, but most of them acted like they were attending a funeral.

"My name, Sir, is Rodastyr Masterhouse. I do not expect a vagabond such as yourself to recognize me, mind you. I only feel it fair that a man know the name of he who runs him through.

"As you are no doubt ignorant of the weight of your situation, I shall be lenient. I shall let you turn tail and go home unscathed... IF..." he said, pulling something from behind his belt, "you wear this."

It was a jester's cap, somewhat like the one Rodastyr had been wearing earlier, but much more poorly made and quite a bit more foolish looking.

Rodastyr looked at the man who dared interrupt his duel.

"Sir, shall I deal with you after dispatching this ruffian? No? Then take your witty tongue, and your face, and retreat to the crowd like a good little man. Thank you."

"Oh, crap," Tris whispered. He scanned the crowd. Where were Loranna and Slyvos?

A few moments later, he interrupted their tryst with Vannyra in the House of Dibella.

"You two, for pity's sake put something on and come outside. That werewolf boy has gotten himself into a duel."

Loranna looks up, her blissful expression replaced by a most unladylike snarl. "WHAT!?" she demands, hurriedly removing herself from Slyvos and kissing Vannrya.

"Be right back, dears," she says, throwing on her robe and casting powerful shield and sactuary spells. "Lead the way," she tells Tris, barefoot and looking ready to strangle someone if need be.

"Ah, very well, Sir. I admit I'm pleased by your decision. Still," he said, throwing the gaudy hat in the dirt, "we'll leave it just here. In case you change your mind later."

The man strode confidently out into the center of the square, placed his heels together, and raised the tip of his sword toward Tohe.

He grinned, his blue eyes twinkling.

"Come, then, Sir. I await your attack. Or, if you aren't used to leading a dance, simply say so, and I shall begin."

Balmora, Eight plates-

“Y’know…this bottled blood here, it’s nice and all…but it just doesn’t beat a fresh source.” Commented an Imperial man, stirring a large glass of it around in his hand.

“Yes…it’s interesting, I hear they’ve drained it from a single man, but they’re probably just rumors.” Replied a Bosmer woman, stirring her own glass, with her finger.

“That’s nothing” Started an old Dunmer man; “I heard Volrina has dispatched some vampires to put a stop to a group of people from discovering a cure.”

“A cure, you don’t say…” said the Imperial, taking a sip of blood. Before spraying it all over the bartender. “A WHAT?!”

At Tohe's charge, Rodastyr's grin grew wider. He completely ignored the feint, standing motionless until the shining saber whipped toward his sword hand.

Quick as a flash, Rodastyr tossed his sword lightly in the air. It arced over Tohe's attack while Rodastyr's hand dipped under, reached out, and grabbed the crossguard of Tohe's saber. With a flick of his wrist, he wrenched the saber backwards, out of Tohe's hand, caught it behind his back, and reached with his left hand to retrieve his own twirling sword from the air.

He stood for a moment, literally juggling both blades as if it was a part of his jester's act, before tossing the saber back to Tohe.

Rodastyr had seen that trick somewhere before. Once or twice. Or maybe it was a thousand times now. He tended to loose count. He turned his shoulder to the cloud of debris, and his own sword flashed out.

At the same time, he dropped smoothly to one knee, Tohe's horziontal blow sweeping over his head, and with a push of his rear foot, slid to the feet of the striking redheaded woman. He caught her hand in his, kissed it gently, and said, "My Lady, as you can see, I too am clean-shaven. The sight of blood may not suit one of such delicate constitution. Pray, go to the tavern and tell them I sent you. I shall be along shortly to entertain you."

As Rodastyr stood, Tohe suddenly realized his pants felt looser. Somehow his belt had been cut in half.

Tohe smirked, before charging again, one hand on his belt and pants, as he drew nearer, he pulled the belt off, and whipped it at Rodastyr, before chopping vertically with his Saber.

"Tomfoolery, My Lady? Hardly. This is a just reward for one so brash as to throw fruit in the face of a humble jester.

"Playing, however... I shall grant you that, and it's about time I stopped."

Rodastyr raised his left hand, letting the belt wrap solidly around it. He sidestepped the whistling saber and pulled tight on the belt. Tohe found himself tangled in his own belt, his sword arm pinned to his side, and his unsupported pants around his ankles. Rodastyr's blade was pressing hard into his ribs.

Tohe said nothing, and merely stood there, realizing if the others failed in their efforts, he had one option. Not a particulary atttractive one though, Transforming in front of crowds was very very bad. Though, while Rodastyr certainly was a masterful duelist, he would haven't stood a chance against angry Werewolf.

Esspecially one with one of Loranna's Regen spells.

If it wasn't for the location you've just left, I'd send a boy there to fetch the rest of your clothes." He smiled assuringly, hoping to rise her spirit.

QUOTE(Allerleirauh @ Apr 3 2005, 03:31 AM)

"It's a girl thing,"  Tris said, smiling. "I'm sorry I yelled at you. I talked to the High Priestess;  she's remarkably educated, for being in such a backwater country. The temple here wasn't always a heliopausehouse, but they've had to survive somehow, and the city folk have mostly shifted to the worship of Akatosh or the Nine. Anyway she said she'd be glad to help you find someone who can initiate you properly and instruct you, if you're interested in entering the Temple service."

He smiled at Rodastyr. "Dom, I take it you haven't heard then?  He's been dead two years now. Law caught up to him in Anticlere. As it will to you, if you insist on going around butchering people."

*

"Alas, what a terrible way for a man to go. I suppose they hung him like a common thief? Ah, well, I was hoping to have a whack at him someday. Still, I suppose he's gone to his reward.

"Speaking of, where are you headed, Sir, with such a band of companions?

"Oh, it doesn't matter. I have a splendid idea! This burg is losing it's charm in my eye. Why don't I make up for our rude introduction by accompanying you. I'll pay everyone's travelling expenses and I won't hear otherwise. It's so rare for an entertainer to be, himself, entertained. I'm sure that I'll be amply repaid."

"Yeah, so much, huh," Loranna says, smiling a bit at Nalion. She turns to Rodastyr and takes a deep breath.

" ... I will be honest sir; to me if a boy throws frut in your face the proper response is to tell him he's a fool, or to toss fruit back," she says. " ... But I admit I overreacted too. I'm the group's healer; when I see swords drawn on my friends it's become instinctive to use my magic to shield them."

"I suppose Tris is right; I'm a bit too much a girl, sometimes."

In a lower tone of voice, she adds to Tris "No, it's okay; this isn't the first time I've jumped in a situation like this when the 'rules' said I shouldn't ... I'm just sorry I made you look twice as foolish for having such a dunderhead friend. And I'd be happy to speak with the high priestess; I felt ... well, almost at home in Dibella's house."

"Well, I put the hat on my own head," Tris said.

To Rodastyr he said, "Yes, they hung him like a common thief and buried him in a pauper's grave because he killed the Duke's son in a duel. I should go back and see to him some day; he was religious, I can't think he's resting easy in unhallowed ground.

"You seem to have come into a lot of money," Tris said. "Or do they pay jesters better than I remember?"

Loranna briefly envisions stuffing a snowball down Rodastyr's pants, but reminds herself that there's no real point to getting riled up when someone who obviously hasn't gotten out enough thinks to call her 'frail'.

"You 'need' trouble, good Rodastyr?" Loranna asks, her eyebrows raising. "Forgive this frail girl for saying so, but people who say things like that usually find themselves regretting it."

" ... And you heard wrong; it's me who sniffs the trouble out," she adds, glancing at Tris.

Path to Menevia-

Three cloaked vampires, their arms linked like chains sprinted down the old path. The centre vampire practically dragging the others behind him. Eventually however, they had to stop, well...two of them did.

"Damnit Rarnel, we're never going to make it there in time, they'll probably be long gone by the time we get there." Commented a female Breton, as she cracked her knuckles.

"Indeed, we will need to gain access to a cart...but how, is a different matter." Said a Dunmer man, his face hiden behind his cloak, Rarnel. It was about this time that a faint 'clip clop' noise could be heard coming down the path.

"You there, lie down in the path, we'll hide in the bushes." Ordered Rarnel, and the female Breton did as she was told, whilst Rarnel and the other vampire, a female Altmer, hid to either side of the path.

The carriage approached, and just as quickly skidded to a hault. The driver went to investigate the body. When he leant in closer he was grabbed by the collar of his shirt and dragged down to the floor beside the Breton. "Well...well, aren't you quite the tastey little morsel?" She asked, before sinking her teeth into the man's neck.

A second later, screams could be heard within the carriage, followed by laughter much like hisses.

"Excellent."

Heading to Vannrya's room, Loranna excuses herself. "We have to take our leave; thank you for everything you've shown me," she says, hugging Vannrya fondly. "I hope to see you again sometime."

Then, she dresses quickly and takes Slyvos to the tavern.

Tris's first reaction was to roll his eyes and snort in something between dismay and alarm, but he restrained himself. "She has someone, they're practically engaged. What happened to that girl you were with, the dancer? Did you ever ask her to marry you?"

A cool, wind sweeps into the Black Huntsman tavern, as an ebony colored elf nonchalantly tries to strut to an empty table. After a few seconds of sitting a barmaid approaches the young looking Bosmer. She eyes him like a mother would a child.

“What can I do you for?” She asks, eyebrow raised.

The wood elf clears his throat as his voice drops a few tones. “Tankard of mead, please.” The elf replies with his voice cracking on “please”.

“I don’t think so, honey. Be a good boy and run home. This is not the place for kids.” The barmaid says, already leaving the Bosmer to help other customers.

“You bloody harlot.” The elf spits back under his breath. “Fah’ger.”

The tree colored elf props his feet on the table, crossed his arms, and looks around the tavern.

"Ah, well, if you must have your foot ripped off, it's best that it makes a good story.

"I wish I could say I'd forgotten her name, but it was Mellua. Ran off on me and got married to some good-for-nothing lord. Well, I simply couldn't stay at that court any longer. Couldn't bear to look at her after she'd so obviously lost her mind.

"Thus, here I am.

"And, dear woman!" he called to the barmaid. "You should let the boy drink! You know I'm hardly off the teat myself and yet you serve me!"

The woman flipped her apron at him and disappeared into the kitchen.

The tankard of mead plops down in front of the Bosmer and his green eyes widen and turn a brighter shade of emerald.

The mead is gone in one, big, loud gulp.

He looks at the empty tankard, then at Tris.

And so, once the carriage was hired, the party made its way to Tamborne ... a rather small and uninteresting town as towns in High Rock go, with citizens who knew little about the witches' coven.

Trading the carriage for fast horses, the group continued, heading next to the manor house, where the lord of the manor greeted the party warmly, offering shelter and food in exchange for news. The food and wine were both excellent, but sadly the information the lord had on the witches was not; all he could suggest was that the party try looking around the old farm of crazy old Elyssa - but to be careful, as strange things happened around those parts.

Old Elyssa's Farm, Menevia

Menevia was beautiful country. The group rode through rolling hills covered with apple trees laden with spring blossoms. The fields had been plowed under but not yet planted. The farmhouse was a lovely old building, huge and barn-like.

In the fields was a gathering of nearly twenty people - farm workers, it looked like. As they approached, they saw that there was some disturbance. The workers were shouting at each other.

"No more work, not until you call in a priest of Arkay! It's that old witch haunting us, you know it is! We've had it, we're quitting!"

"It's planting time," said an older man with a huge black beard. "If it starts raining we'll lose another week. Do you want to go hungry this autumn?"

"Look," said a milkmaid, shaking her finger in the bearded man's face, "It don't matter one way or the other if we ain't here come harvest, do it? And we're about to clear out, we are, unless you do something!"

Caught up in the argument, they didn't notice the approaching horsemen at first.

*

Nalion looked at the gathering of farmers as they approached, then at his companions.
"Well, it occurs to me, that we might be on the right track. Let's go talk to them."
The mage spurred his horse and took the lead. As the party came closer, the small crowd spotted them. Nalion halted near the bearded men, dismounted and adressed him.
"Hail fellow countrymen! Which trouble stirs a day as beautiful as this? Would you care to help some travelers seeking their way?"

The assemblage of farmers fell silent and stared at Nalion and the others, unblinking. Like many rural folk, they were slow to trust strangers.

"Well, speak up!" the milkmaid jeered at the black bearded man. "Tell the nice man what the problem is!"

"You from the Imperial Temple?" a near sighted man asked, peering up at Nalion.

The bearded man waved his hands in the air. "Oh, I give up. It's easier if I just show you."

He led the group to a field where it seemed some sort of strange birds were flying low over the croplands. As they approached, the birds looked stranger and stranger. The land appeared to have been torn up, maybe the strange birds were eating the crops.

As they got even closer, they could see that the flying objects weren't birds at all, they were vegetables.

"TOO CLOSE!" yelled the bearded man. "RUN!"

The vegetables converged like angry hornets and zoomed through the air directly at the party.

"Is it?" asked Rodastyr with a raised eyebrow and a look at Tohe. "This sort of thing happens to me all the time."

He drew his sword and deftly cut a few angry vegetables out of the air.

Tohe, who had taken the bowl of vegtables from the tavern, flung the apple in his hand ata Tomato, then proceeded to throw more of the fruits. Reichi pulled out the Dagger of Senses and his Daedric Shortsword.

"Uh, now great, okay, everyone retreat into the house in case they attack." Nalion ordered. "Don't fire anything at it. We don't want starvation here this winter. And I don't want stains on my robe."
Nalion took quick steps backwards, but kept an eye on the vegetables.

The ebony elf unsheathes his bow and fires a shot at a flying vegetable. The arrow misses wide and lands harmlessly on the torn earth.

“Damn, I should practice more.” A vegetable whizzes by the elf. “Fah’ger this.”

Dirt kicks up into a cloud as the maple colored elf runs for cover.

Loranna retreats, looking to Slyvos. "Um ... know any excorsism spells?" she asks, readying a Dispel of her own to cast at the vegetables - it might help, after all ...

The vegetables pelted any member of the party too slow to run ruthlessly.

Tris was caught on the back of the ear by a flying turnip and uttered a profanity. Despite Loranna's sanctuary spell, a turnip moving at that speed stung when it hit.

Bruised and with slightly less dignity than they'd started with, the party found themselves inside the farmhouse, trying to catch their breath. None of the villagers had followed them inside.

"Odd place," Tris remarked. They seemed to have walked into a closet. He opened the door. On the other side of the door was another closet, with two more doors leading out of it. The next door proved to open onto a hallway, which had several doors leading off, all of which opened onto closets.

The closet, as might have been expected, led into another closet.

After following the same procedure for several more closets, the door finally opened into a room. With a fireplace. In a chair in front of the fireplace sat an exceptionally comely young woman in a tight fitting green dress, with long black hair and slanted green eyes. She looked up in annoyance.

"Agreed," Loranna says, following the party; in her head though she was wondering.

Strange; if Old Eyassa was an Azurite, then her spirit would have been unmade on Hogithum - she wouldn't be able to keep haunting this place, right? she thinks. Some long term summon of hers then, or some other witch's involvement perhaps?

The telekinesis spell didn't hold long and there were other doors ahead.
"Very well then, Tris, everyone: step back."
The mage concentrated and brought up a magic shield around him, not so much as protecting him, but protecting the party from the inevitable splinters that would soon follow.
The mage opened his palm and whispered a word. A ball of fire appeared in his hand and launched itself at the first door. The loud crack wasn't distinguishable from the clamour, but the splinters of explosion showed clearly that there was no door anymore. Some fireballs later, a path was cleared. The wooden framework began to smolder, but were quickly extinguished by a following frost spell.
The mage turned. "Sorry, I hope you have a good carpenter here. Now, let's move out."

Frostien approached old Elyssa's Farm, and could hear a tremendous noise from inside. I hope Amarie isn't in there, like those people in Tamborne said.

He tried the front door, but found it locked. Frostien never was one for subtlety, so the Breton pulled out his ebony battleaxe, and began cuttingg the door down. In 2 swings the once sturdy door had been reduced to splinters. He made his way in, and saw many doors slamming. He could barely hear a voice over the deafening noise, and went towards the source.

After a few swings, the first of many doors was gone, and he was about to start on the next door when a blast sent him back a bit. He followed the others outside.

The farmers, and the vegetables, seemed to have gone elsewhere for the moment.

And then she set herself on fire, to keep Azura from taking over her mind, she said. Right here in this very house. I just figured Sheogorath had finally waltzed her over the edge."

"They all turned into horrible old hags,"  Vycta said in a whisper. "Before, they were all beautiful young women, but after Elyssa cursed them, they just shriveled up like... like prunes. Their husbands all left them, they had to use sticks to walk around, they grew warts and spots. It was horrible!  And now her curse will fall on you, no matter how far you run, she won't forgive you for smashing her closets. They were her favorite thing in the world."

Loranna looks to her companions, muttering "More curses ..." under her breath.

Still, it was hard not to feel at least some sympathy for Old Elyssa; no one should have to suffer having their will taken over by a Daedra, and she evidentally only wanted to be left alone with the few things she loved.

Of course, she had taken the wood from someone else's grove, so it was hard to feel completely sympathetic ....

"I think perhaps we should find these other cursed women," Loranna says, turning to Vycta. "And we should definitely try to set Old Elyssa's spirit at ease ... though the question is, how? She's already mad and we had to break our way out; will she listen to us now, at all?"

"Listen to you?" the young woman repeated. "She's dead, she doesn't listen to anybody. Not that she ever did. The only way I know to stop her when she gets going is to throw some of the wood this house was built from on the fire. It's powerful stuff, and releasing the magic cools her down for a time."

The farmers, seeing them emerge, were returning. Several of them now held picks, shovels, hoes, and other farm implements in a way that was not entirely friendly, and the men were at the front, the women at the back.

"Well, usually one turns to a priest of Arkay for that," Loranna says, briefly imagining Arynel reciting some of his poetry at the house in an impromptu excorsism.

" ... However, I think we're a little pressed for time," she adds, seeing the angry mob form.

Loranna looks to the farmers and raises her hands. "Hold!" she says, looking to them. "So she was a witch; we see that now. She is spiteful and violent in death; was she like this in life, or did some calamaty drive her to rage?"

The mob hesitated, and then a man stepped forward, not the black-bearded man, who was nowhere to be seen.

"Old Elyssa could be nice enough when it suited her," he said. "When it suited her."

"She liked to have something on you," a milkmaid piped up from behind him. "Give you a love potion, then tell you after you gave it to the fella that if you didn't take them forever after, he'd start to hate you as much as he loved you. And then you'd be doing her favors 'til you died."

"Yes, that was her style," the first man admitted. "She healed my son once, but then never let me forget it, if I said a word wrong to her she'd remind me she held his life by a string. We were all on her strings."

"So we have a possessed house built of a cut-down witches grove, curses and treachery and farmers who are in danger of starvation if we don't do anything." Nalion cupped his chin in his palm.
"You say that she can only be calmed by burning some of the woods in the fireplace? The same woods as were used to build the house? And if she doesn't listen, as you say... Why do some people in power use them only to cause others harm when they have so much opportunity to cause good?"
Nalion sighed.
"I don't like to say this, but it is best when we burn this house. We have no priest of Arkay with us, but if we burn the house, we will strike at the heart of her power."
He looked over at Slyvos. "If she resists in spirit form, I think we have the means to put her to silence."

Loranna nods. "I think you are right; it is time to get this rude witch gone, and let these people be free of her."

She looks to the farmers and to Vycta. "We have money and can find more if need be; we will see to it that your damages are compensated. But this must be done - for all of your sakes."

"No!" Vycta screamed, rushing forward as if to attack Loranna.

"Let me," Tris said, casting a paralysis spell on the young woman. He put his arms around her firmly; when the paralysis wore off, which it quickly did, he was ready.

"It's for your own good, you little fool," he said. "Better us than the farmers burning it down around your ears."

"You don't understand!" Vycta wailed. "If you burn the house, she'll come after you!"

"Very well, let us get this done." Nalion straightened his shoulders and stretched out a hand. Another fireball appeared over his right palm, its fire giving off an intense heat that did not touch his body. He motioned to the farmers to light up their torches.
"Let's set this house on fire, but stay away from doors and windows. Then retreat as quickly as you can!"
Then, his fireball launched off, heading for the roof.
As the first flames hit, there was no crack, but a shrill shreak and the frightening noise of doors and closets opening and shutting.

Farmhands quickly light torches and throw them into the burning house; thick black smoke, seeming almost like ichor, pours out of the burning ediface.

A shrill, vengeful scream pierces the air, though it does not quite touch the ears so much as the soul. The smoke writhes, burning embers flying into it, giving shape to an undulating, withered female face, constantly twisted in expressions of agony and sheer, blistering hate.

The house falls in on itself, burning, and the fire leaps up into the smoke, the face shifting into a vengeful glee. The smoke undulates towards the crops, bearing fire and embers ...

"NO! RUDE SPIRIT, OFF WITH YOU!!!" Loranna yells, raising her hands and chanting.

Loranna was still somewhat shaky with Destruction magic, but she had found several cantrip effects to be very useful. She had learned to create snowballs, to use to playfully throw at certain Nords when the situation warrented. She had learned to project heat to warm a lover's muscles when giving a massage. She had even learned to combine the two to make a small bit of rain, having plans on learning enough illusion magic eventually to make a little cloud appear overhead as she did - a playful effect for when she felt like dousing her beloved Jazbet.

Small effects, not necessarily powerful in of themselves. However, when backed with enough magicka, even small effects could have notable results.

Loranna skips trying to create an illusory raincloud, instead making as much melted snow as she can in the air. Water rains down, fighting the fire; farmhands grab buckets and form a fire brigade as best as they can, spurred on by Loranna's magical aid in protecting their livlihood.

"Love, NOW!" Loranna yells as she fights the fire. "Send this witch back to Azura!"

Seeing this, Nalion intensified the heat of another fireball in his palm and sent it into the house. Using telekinesis, he weakened the roof, so it would come crashing down soon.
"Now, Slyvos. Get her!"

Posted by: Dagoth Lich Apr 3 2005, 05:34 PM

Slyvos braced himself, and began to glow with a hazy green light as he started casting the spell.

The spirit was still very peeved off, and attempted to blast Nalion and Loranna; the blast almost reached them, but was promptly avoided as Slyvos finished the spell.

'Bye bye,' he said with a grin, as the spell engulfed the spirit in wildly swirling green and black energies. The spirit gave one last shriek of anger as it was banished to where ever it was supposed to go.

The farm grew noticably more peaceful once Old Elyssa had been banished; the smoke grows thinner, like normal smoke, and everyone feels a little bit relieved despite the smell of burnt wood hanging over the whole place.

The crops had been damaged some, but thanks to Loranna and the farmhands, most of them had been spared; Loranna tallies up the damage with the farmhands, talking with her companions about the costs of compensating for the damages. It is swiftly pointed out that adventurers such as themselves can easily raise money with some initial spending on alchemy ingredients and empty soul gems, however, both of which are but a Mage Guild or temple away. A plan for compensating the farmhands and Vycta is swiftly agreed upon, and once everyone gets some rest, enacted.

While people are resting, Loranna quietly asks Vycta if she knows where the women Elyssa cursed are now.

Posted by: Arynel Apr 3 2005, 09:23 PM

Arynel had spent quite some time in the temple of Dibella, studying various sculptures and paintings depicting the nude human form. He was accompanied by a Breton girl about his age, in appearance at least, whose soft flaxen hair was delicately braided, and who wore a silken robe that was in all ways concealing and simultaneously an invitation towards its own removal.

The two Bretons discussed the artwork, paintings and sculptures many of which Arynel found quite pleasing to the eye, at which point Taeyrn inquired if that same eye found her own form worthy of the same, perhaps including with it an unvoiced invitation. Arynel replied only that her form was lovely as any bloom there was, but that he would leave it lay.

Taeyrn pestered him to remove his clothes, which after some jesting Arynel obliged to, but only for the sake of a hot bath, during which the Breton girl returned adorned in not but the dress of her birth, hair flowing over her shoulders in waves which continued as the soft curves of her body moving down to where her feet made contact with the marble tile, skin peach hued and sweat glistened.

The Breton girl was quite suprised, and perhaps a bit put off, when Arynel declined her advanced, though gave his word that she was a fine site for the eyes, and her touch, he concluded, must be likewise pleasurable. Taeyrn, a bit unsure at how to react, left Arynel to his bath, concluding then that perhaps the poor Breton was imbalanced somehow.

Arynel clothed himself and found then that the other members of the party had left the temple. Evesdropping on conversations in town yeilded rumors of a duel, and the Breton was soon able to trace the party to a tavern, the Huntsman, where we was able to trace them to a farm, but no more. So Arynel, without knowing where to go next, opted to stay at the tavern, taking a seat in the back as was his usual fasion.

It was a wild life he lead, literally and figuratively. By day he rested, and by night he roved. He had no home to stay in, and no profession he was trained to do. So by night he would walk through the wild, kill for food, doing as he pleased.

Someday he would have to think of what the purpose of his life was.

Today was that day.

He gathered up his cloak and left the Black Huntsman.

Tos'un had been with the group the whole way, using the enchantment on his Chameleon Ring, and recharging when he was hanging onto the bottom of a carriage. He had witnissed the duel, and had admired the Jester's fighting skill, but Tos'un could defeat him. In Two moves. Tos'un already knew what those two moves would have been. When they said that they were going to help the farmer's out, he decided he would help, as well, and maybe be accepted into the little group. He produced a few throwing star's from a fold in his Gi, and went into the forest. He found deer tracks right away, and was led to small clearing that was inhabited by a buck and it's current mate. Both he slew easily and picked them up. He then toted them to a small clearing close to the edge and went out hunting again. This time, his finding's were a little better. He had caught some fish, slew some grouse and found some herbs. He slipped his Chameleon ring off and began cooking the deer meat, grouse, and the fish over a smokeless fire. When it was finally done, he put the meat in the pouches that he had, and the herbs went into a few extra pouches. He had pulled down his hood, and replaced his mask inside his Gi. He strode out of the woods, and most people would have thought that a Giant of legend was coming for them. A small smirk settled on his lip's as he thought about what he must have looked like. He walked up to Loranna/Grier, and cleared his throat.

After the attack on Red Mountain, Didryn was left with a grand total of seven remaining arrows, an absolutely useless left arm, and several cuts and bruises scattered over his body. He missed the ceremony for the dearly departed, but promised himself he would go there later and pay his own respects. Presently he sits at the counter in the Dirty Muskrat tavern gulping down, against his better judgement, a Sujamma.

Vycta seemed to have taken the loss of the house, and her subsequent loss of status as 'lady of the manor,' hard. Even the promise of being recompensated with money didn't make her look happy.

"Those women were from all over this area, they used to meet out on Tamarilyn Point, but since the trees were cut down I don't know where they meet. There's an abandoned mine right near there, maybe that's where."

"I've heard they meet in Westcastle, in one lady's house," someone else offered. "Ask around, everybody knows those old hags."

Westcastle was a sizable town, a little to the north of Tamborne. In fact they had passed right through it on the way here.

"Wonder where that lunatic thinks he's going," a farmer said, looking after Frostien. "There's no coven in the woods."

Westcastle-

The carriage came to a halt, bringing up a cloud of dirt from beneath it’s wheels. The driver ushered the party out and they were immediately hit by a small group of pigs, sniffing at their shins and occasionally trying to take a bite out of their ankles. It was around now that a middle aged Breton man, dressed in rags came to help out, quickly ushering the pigs away with a worn staff.

“Greetings, strangers!” He said, grinning widely. “Welcome to Westcastle!” The man gestured to the busy streets, where brightly clothed citizens would go about that business, many making their way to one of the nine taverns. Others were just opening up their stores. One of the most noticeable features of the city however, was the HUGE Mages’ Guild. There were many other sites, amongst them being the temples for both Dibella and Stendarr, not to mention that one tavern, the real suggestively dank one, which looks as if criminals would drink there. Amongst some of the tightly packed houses, there was a rather suspicious looking building, it's wooden blinds worn and cracked, it had obviously recieved little care, perhaps for good reason?

“Enjoy your visit!” He shouted, almost alerting other town’s people of the newcomer’s presence. “I suggest visiting the Dirty Muskrat…most visitors seem to like that place a lot, I haven't a clue why. Well, fair well…come along dumplings.” At that, the man continued on his way, the pack of pigs following bravely.

Loranna regarded the red-eyed, tall mer with curiosity; she reflected that even disguised as Grier, people seem to pop out of the woodwork to meet her. It was a most ... interesting trait of hers.

Something about this guy is setting off bells in my head, Loranna thought, but then ... well, Rodastyr did too, and he seems to be working out tolerably enough thus far...

Then, however, the giant mer opened his pack and showed enough food to give the farmhands a smashingly good party - of the bring your own ale sort. Slight cheers wrre had all aoround as Tos'um shows the gift of free food.

Hmm ... No harm in letting him travel with us to Westcastle I suppose. Loranna thought, her opinion of the newcomer going up slightly.

"Well met, stranger," she said in a polite tone. "Are you heading to Westcastle like we are?"

Loranna pauses for a moment, blinking. "Um ... well, their great grandchildren deserve a little something, don't you think?" she says, chuckling at herself.

"Besides, it might not hurt to have a couple extra in our pockets in case we have to blow up any more farmhouses ... but okay; point taken Tris dear."

As the party makes their way, Loranna turns to Tris, her expression thoughtful and slightly somber.

" ... Tris, if I may ask ... what is it that drives people to dueling?" she asks.

*

"I wish I knew," Tris said. "I've been thinking about Dom a lot lately. I guess because he's the closest thing I ever had to a real relationship before I met Ciel. Dom was like... you know fighting dogs, the way they aren't good for anything else? That's what Dom was like. I don't think he was very happy in his own skin unless he was fighting. He used to, I don't know how to describe it, stop when he wasn't fighting. Just sit motionless and you could tell no one was home at all. And then there were his other modes, killing someone, picking someone out of a crowd to kill, reliving the moment of killing someone in his memory, and practicing the skills needed to kill someone. I made him laugh sometimes, which I think is why he wanted me around."

Tris laughed.

"I wasn't kidding about heading down to Anticlere to see him. Now if I could only remember what town he's buried in. Isn't that terrible?"

Loranna gives a sad smile. "It is," she says, putting a hand on Tris's shoulder. "If you like, I'd be willing to go with you to visit his grave - but I'll understand if you prefer not to."

She looks to the sky for a moment. "I've been thinking of visiting my mother's cairn lately, myself; I wasn't in any sane frame of mind when I last saw her, so it doesn't quite feel like I've fully said goodbye. Isn't that silly?"

"So, we ask around on the streets or in the taverns first about the coven?" she suddenly asks.

"Taverns, I think," Tris said. "'Hello, seen any old hags?' isn't the sort of thing you can say to someone unless you're both drinking. Excuse me, sir, which way to the Dirty Muskrat?" he asked a passing stranger.

The stranger stopped a moment, as he began to think. "Hm...I believe the Dirty Muskrat is over...there." He said, pointing down a long thin street, a total of two taverns were along it. And which one he was pointing to was uncertain. "There should probably be a sign on the door, I can't remember which one it is though, I'm not that much of a fan of that tavern." The man gave a quick, polite bow and continued on his way.

"Shall we?" Tris said, offering his arm to Loranna. "I get the feeling from that gentleman's reaction that we're being sent to someplace not quite respectable. Which is just what we want."

He found the right inn after a moment's confusion - the one across the street was named the Bat and Scorpion - and they made their way inside. Like all High Rock taverns, this one was dimly lit, and it took a moment for their eyes to adjust. In that time, though, Tris was learning a lot about The Dirty Muskrat. It wasn't how a tavern looked but how it smelled that told you what you were dealing with.

The Dirty Muskrat-

The tavern smelt like...well, like a tavern. Though the atmosphere was quite musty, and the smell of liquor and cheap perfume didn't help one's nostrils, it was quite normal except for one thing that couldn't escape anyone's attention. The majority of the people filling the small bar area were suggestively dressed women. The surroundings were simple enough, stools, tables, chairs...a bar.

An old Nord man sat at the bar...obviously drunk. There was a shady character sitting at one of the tables, along with a commonly dressed man, not too far off. The two would often exchange glances. And finally...somewhere, hidden in the corner of the room, was an old hag. Wirey grey hair poured out from under her hood and she looked rather anti social.l

" ... I get the impression this is a good place to meet people," Loranna says with an admirable deadpan.

She looks around, noticing the hag after a moment. "Try talking to her first?" she asks Tris quietly. She avoids staring too much at the two men exchanging glances, suspecting some sort of shady business that she'd just as soon not get emtangled in.

Tris grinned. He was thinking that if he were seven years old, he'd be too afraid to speak to a woman who was so obviously a witch.

He bowed to the old hag. "Are you drinking, ma'am? We're new in town, you look like someone who knows what's what."

Loranna gives a slight grin and pulls out some septims. "Drinks for us three, barkeep," she says, "A mead for me and whatever my companions want for them."

Once the three of them had refreshment, Loranna says "We were hoping to seek the consul of some wise women, who we were told had moved here to Westcasle after their old place was cut down. Perhaps you know of them? They used to meet down by Tamarilyn Point some years back."

"My oh my." She said, "You seek those wise women, do you?" She asked, asked in the sense that she wasn't going to let them answer.

The hag took a sip of liquor, a spot of froth attaching itself to a thin, white bristle of hair on her upper lip. "Well...perhaps I do know of them. Yes...perhaps I do." She paused a moment, looking around herself. "It has been a long while since I last heard word of them, dearies..." Tris crooked his finger to the barmaid, getting her to bring over another drink for the old woman.

"You don't have any idea who would know how to get in touch with them?" Tris said. "You see, we're desperate for their help, we'd be willing to pay quite a lot of money to whoever could help us."

The hag lent forward with her eyes closed, as she rubbed her temple with one hand, the other nursed her new drink. "Hm...well, I'm not terribly sure." She said blankly, after a good moment's silence. "This type of buisness is usually on the down low, and government officials don't usually share their information with old ladies."

"From what my memory has given me, I'm fairly sure the person offering protection is a constable. And for reliable protection they would have to have a building of some sort. Or maybe there is a dungeon they let them hide in. An old mine shaft perhaps? If there are any of those near here I'd suggest checking those first."

Dungeons and old mines again, Loranna thinks to herself. Huh ...

"You've been very helpful," Loranna tells the old woman with a grateful smile. "Good fortune smiles upon us to have met you, ma'am. If I can ask another question; do you know anything about the wise women themselves? Any particular fancies they may have that we may approach them on the right foot, or anything in particular to avoid when dealing with them?"

"Not that I can remember." She said sharply, "Just try not to say anything too insulting. That's universal, that advice." The old hag stood, after finishing her drink. "Good luck to you both, don't get your hopes up, either. I never said they were actually there."

Loranna thinks to herself Careful there Lor; you're pushing a little too hard.

"Thank you again," she says, passing the hag a small pouch of septims. "A pleasant day to you, and may fortune continue to smile on us all."

She looks to Tris, her eyes conveying her intent; it seemed logical to speak with the local law before poking around for abandoned mines and dank dungeons outside the city limits, to confirm the coven's location.

Now was a good time to go find the others, and relay what they had learned. And, Loranna thinks as she wiggles her toes, to get a few little things enchanted with some protective spells she had in mind. Pity though she hadn't noticed a good clothier as they walked to the tavern though; some new footwear would be nice ...

Westcastle, Mage Guild

For the moment, Loranna was on her own; everyone else seemed to be taking care of business, getting something to eat, or perhaps simply taking in the sights. Loranna might have felt inclined to be dismayed that people were all over the place, but then, she reflected that she rather wished she had taken time to see the sights at Stormhold and other places while she was there.

Doll's words at Freetown about getting someplace new and then stopping came back to her, and Loranna decided that the trick was not to just plain out stop as to take care of other business while waiting for everyone else. Beyond Illidan's cure and the farmhands' funds, she had a couple other interests she could address here, through the purchase of soul gems and scrolls of summoning.

===

In the special summoning room the Mages Guild set aside for just this purpose, Loranna got busy; sword loosened in her scabbard, and soul gems tucked in her robe, she unfurled her first summoning scroll and soon had a Golden Saint looking at her with a tilted head. Loranna smiled and pointed to the far wall, and as the Saint turned to look Loranna placed her hand on the Saint's shoulder, absorbing its life force and trapping its soul all in one smooth spellcasting.

The second Golden Saint dropped a glass staff before her body faded away; the third reflected Loranna's first two castings and had to be hit with her sword a few times to stop trying to ventilate Loranna with an ebony shortsword. The fourth one turned out to be the easiest of the lot, apparently not caring that Loranna was casting Absorb Health and Soul Trap while yanking its glass jinkblade from is hand. The fifth put up a spirited fight and managed to whirl Loranna around in a parody of a dance before learning that Loranna's armor offered spell absorption, and the sixth for some reason was wielding an ebony sujamma mug.

By the time Loranna was done, she had enough Grand Soul Gems with Golden Saint souls to either fund ten farms for a century or else make one very powerful suit of armor with accompanying shield and weapon set. She took four of the gems to the Guild Enchanter, requesting her new jewelry be enchanted with magic to offer spell reflection, dispel, and recall, as well as a minor enchantment to keep her feet safe from the rigors of the road - she never mentioned it to anyone, but back on Vvardenfell she had gotten some blisters from all the running she did in shoes ill-suited to the task. One of the Grand Soul Gems she took to be sold, the money given to the farmhands so they may get started on rebuilding and resupplying.

The rest she kept tucked away, to be sold later; if the party managed to avoid blowing up parts of the city, the money from selling the gems would do nicely to add to her own personal riches, or to add to Darhun's coffers as a cushion against misfortune. She would have to talk to Kallen when she got back about that; she'd been wondering what Jazbet's estate did in previous years if there was a bad harvest. Oh, and though Allie doubtless had ample funds of her own, a small donation to the rebuilding of Vivec would probably be appreciated; she had had some part in the city getting mauled, after all ...

Teleran used the break after the farmhouse to practice moving in his chitin armor, at first his movements remained stiff, jerking as he struggled against the joints. Fairly soon though he had learned how to move with the armor, letting his movement follow the flexing of the armor. It came far easier now and he surprised himself with the speed that he could still move at even in the full armor. The way he moved arms and legs especially gave him the appearance of a veteran with chitin armor.

It was only after he sat down that he realized that moving in the armor was almost like controlling the fakes arm to appear real, follow the natural seams and it would move quickly and surely. Of course he couldn’t cheat now as he had with that; he could not give himself the extra centimeter for full freedom of movement.

He shed the armor and practiced forms; he flowed from stance to stance, looking almost as if he was dancing. However, when he paused he appeared off-center as he compensated for the lack of an arm.

After a brief break, he found his way to a small stream none too far off and washed himself before heading back, a few minutes later he was reclining against a sturdy tree, half-asleep.

Balmora, Bhlaalu council manor-

“A cure? Volrina, exactly when were you planning on sharing this information with us?” The broad Altmer asked, frowning through gritted teeth.

“Never.” She stated, blankly. Looking over the small assortment of vampires. “It was never going to be a problem, I have complete trust in the vampires I sent out.”

There was a silence; where in whispers could be heard, angry whispers. Shortly however, Volrina put a stop to it. “Answer me this, Altmer…” She began, “how exactly did you hear about this?”

The Altmer looked around briefly, “That’s the word around town, and I am quite the gossip.” He said, with a slight grin. Seeing that nobody was amused he continued speaking, “I heard it from the higher ups, though. That to me is trust worthy enough.”

Volrina glared at the vampire, “You are the higher ups.” She snarled, letting out a large hiss. Everyone fell silent as she did, in deep thought.

“There are only two people that could’ve spread that word around town…” She began, “Either Rarnir…which I highly doubt, or…”

“Illidan.” Janis said, effectively finishing her sentence.

“Right, I wonder where he ran off to. I still must have a word with that boy.”

“Ok,” said the finely armoured Dunmer, who had recently been titled as ‘The herder’ due to his excellent abilities at cattle training. “What about these vampires you sent? Will they succeed?” He asked.

“Of course,” She stated. “Why, I’m sure that they’re tearing their throats out whilst we speak.”

Meanwhile, Menevia, path to Westcastle-

A small wooden carriage sat in the center of the old dirt road; three vampires lay sprawled and cramped within the wooden frame. “Ugh…I hate the sun…” Rarnil snarled, fidgeting a little.

Vivec City: Vivec's Palace

Allerleirauh wore an open robe of shimmering pale blue over her white dress. She was Mercy today, and she held Sen-Yedda in her arms.

"The first order of business is my silenced sister," she said. "She must be rehabilitated. If the Psijiics are right and to reduce the powerful to laughingstocks before their death is to destroy their power in the other planes, then Almalexia is all but vanquished now. She is called by many names among the common people, none of them flattering. I will not have her remembered forever as a slattern and a madwoman."

Her Dunmer amanuensis nodded, and wrote.

She continued. "Then... this place. I think it should be sealed, like a tomb. The tomb of one who departed without dying. It's a good symbol, I think, for one who escaped the tomb. This place was far more a prison than the Ministry of Truth ever was. I wonder if he was ever happy here."

"I never knew him," the amanuensis said, when her pause made him think a reply was expected. "He rarely went among the people, in his last years."

"There are so few who knew him left," Allerleirauh said. "I wish Tholer Saryoni had not killed himself. I could have used his advice."

This time the amanuensis spoke without waiting for a pause. "May one speak, Lady?"

"Of course," she said.

"My Lady is not Dunmer," the amanuensis said. "The dead are never farther away than the Waiting Door."

Allerleirauh took a quick breath, startled. "Of course. I should have thought. You are right, I am not Dunmer. Thank you."

The amanuensis bowed.

Ald Raathim:

Arynel was seated at a table in the library of Jazbet's castle. The Breton's clothes were clean and his belly full.

He rose from his seat and made his way, silently, through a hall and out of the castle. Arynel traversed the path down to the beach, overlooking where the mangroves were once, before they had been destroyed.

Reaching into his pocket the Breton pulled out a peice of solid wood, carved and polished into the shape of an egg.

OOC: I have a few questions about the Blue Dawn for any who were involved. 1. How did passing through cities of Skyrim lay waste to them. Was it by natural disaster, or summoning of daedra (As a hook my character will have been in one during the destruction, if it fits with the lore.) 2. Were the Azurites difficult to kill? would a normal person be able to do it, or would it require a hero or champion.

Back in Character.
Cyrcius wandered into the nearest town. As he passed an abandoned house, he noticed a complex sign on the door, marking it as a Thieves Guild supply cache. He quickly ducked inside, equipping himself with lockpicks, throwing daggers, and a silvered tanto among other misc supplies. He stood in the gloom for a short time, thinking. He had been through a lot recently, and wouldn't mind a tour of the High Rock countryside, without Thieves Guild business to worry about. He might even pick up a few odd jobs on the way.

WESTGATE

As he walked into a tavern, quaintly called the Dirty Muskrat, he overheard an attractive red-haired woman asking about a group of older women. Something about her seemed familiar, so he followed her discreetly. He saw her walk into the Mages Guild and leaned against the door outside.

(as additional information, Cyrcius Desaan is a 5 ft 5in wood elf with brownish red hair. He is currently dressed with a hip length green coat, with red shirt and black pants of fine quality.)

1. Neither natural disaster or daedra, or both, if that's how you want to play it. It was due to the party passing through, and would take quiet a while to explain. Perhaps you shold come into the chatroom and talk about it.
2. A normal person could kill an Azurite, aside from the peircing blue eyes and the abiltiy to summon a winged twilight once a day, they're mortal just like every one else. Now, if you mean how we killed every single Azurite at once, well, that did take a few tricks. For more info, come to the chatroom

As he waited Cyrcius thought of where he thought the woman was familiar from. He thought of the recent "troubles" and of that horrible several weeks escaping from Skyrim. He had come to a minor city in his capacity as a traveling "fixer" for the Morrowind Thieves Guild. He had dealt with his target, when the earthquake struck. It wreaked massive havok, and beings that showed up in the aftermath were just as bad. The bright, glowing blue eyes they possesed were unerving, but their ability to summon daedra without spells was even more so. In his harrowing journey back to Morrowind, he must have slit the throat of at least a half a dozen of them, and killed just as many with shuriken and bow. He eventually made it back, but that was just the beginning of his troubles.

Tos'un had noticed Cyrcius following Loranna/Grier, and had done nothing about it. The little Bosmer looked, walked, and talked like Thieves Guild. Now that the Bosmer seemed to be waiting on something, Tos'un slipped on his Chameleon Ring and moved up behind the bosmer. There was a pressure point around the collar-bone that, when hit hard enough, could make the victim become temporarily paralyzed, and that pressure point is what Tos'un went for. He used a Ridge-handed, downward chop that hit right on the nerve.

Westcastle

Stepping out of the Dirty Muskrat, Didryn squints in the sunlight. He couldn't believe he had drunk alcohol. The only reason he had done it was to take his mind off the pain in his arm. He reminded himself to find Loranna or another healer, maybe at the huge Mages' Guild, and have something done about it. He found himself wandering through Westcastle, occasionally looking into a pawn shop or two. He seemed to be attracting many uneasy looks at his arm and other wounds. Several small children moved to the other side of their mothers in order to avoid walking too close to him. Some merchants shot double takes at the unique bow slung over his shoulder as he walked by their stalls. He decides that, since he has no clue where Loranna went to, he is going to go to the Mages' Guild.

Who knows? He says to himself. Maybe she's at the Mages' Guild.

Cyrcius waited, still unable to remember where he had seen that woman. Suddenly he had a sense of unease, as if someone was watching him. He attempted to figure out who, but suddenly felt his entire left side going numb, in a strike that he recognized and should have protected against. He exerted all his acrobatic skill, and managed a passable forward roll even with all but a small part of his leg on his left side going numb. Knowing that he probably didn't stand a chance against anyone who knew the strike in his current condition, he went against all his instincts and didn't pull the dagger up his sleeve. He glanced around, trying to see, or more likely hear, his assailant.

Slyvos had been wandering around the Mage's Guild aimlessly, practicing a few spells, making a few items, etc., til he just felt like he needed to talk to someone... and who better then Loranna?

He found Loranna in the main sitting area, scribbling away in that journal of her's.

'Mind if you have some company, L-, er Grier?'

Westcastle, Inside the Mage Guild

Loranna looks up from her writing, smiling and holding her arms out to Slyvos to embrace him.

"Your company is always welcome," she says, thinking to herself that Tris would have appreciated the irony of Slyvos almost sayign her real name aloud in public.

"Anything on your mind?" she asks, letting Slyvos go.

Tos'un slipped off his Chameleon Ring, to save the charge, and made a mental to charge it at the Mages' Guild, and maybe continue his quest. He looked down at the Bosmer, Cyrcius, and grabbed his throat in a very tight grip. He then heaved upward, the Bosmer's body leaving the ground as he pulled upwards. He then pulled Cyrcius closer, "You smell like Thieves Guild, I don't like them. And also, why are you following the flame-haired lady?"

He looked at her with a bit of a smile.

'How you feeling? Is everything... alright?'

He found it ironic that he would be asking that question, considering he was the one who was confuzzled earlier by Loranna and a bunch of Diabella worshippers.

"How am I feeling?" Loranna asks, mildly surprised but smiling all the same. "Mostly, wonderful; I'm starting to see the beauty of High Rock more clearly."

She taps her journal, adding "Though I'm still keeping home in mind; have a few ideas to look into when we get back ..."

She looks back to Slyvos. "What about you love? How are you feeling?" she asks, her expression questioning.

He blushed just a bit, his fur hiding it.

'well, I'm still a bit flustered from earlier at the temple... not that it wasn't good, but it was just something new to me...'

Cyrcius had had enough. He was used to being picked on, but to have a (Dunmer?) thug attack him was really straining his nerves, and may end in a very bad resolution. As an enforcer and "fixer" for the Thieves Guild in Morrowind, he had been in worst scrapes against the Morang Tong. Since the feeling had partially been restored to his left side, he gave his captor a sharp kick to the balls, then grabbed the man's hand, pulled himself up, and kicked off his chest. That broke his grip and Cyrcius flipped to the ground, drawing his dagger and tanto in one smooth motion. He was amazed at the endurance of the man, who hardly looked like he had felt Cyrcius's blows. Before the man could attack, he stated calmly, "I don't know if I can beat you, but I'll surely leave you a scar you won't be forgetting. The red-haired woman reminded me of someone I saw in Skyrim, so I followed her and tried to remember where I saw her. It had something to do with that Azurite business a little while back. You wouldn't know anything about that would you?"

"Ah," Loranna says, her expression growing more serious.

" ... It was not entirely new to me," she confesses. "Well ... having a third party to demonstrate was, but ..."

She looks at Slyvos wih a somewhat sad smile. "As you might have already known or gathered from the way I acted, I do kind of like girls as well as boys. It's been years since I was last with a girl, though."

He smiled at her, and nodded.

'What you like is fine with me, so long as it makes you happy. It's a bit odd to me, but it's not disturbing at all... actually, it was kind of fun.'

His smiled turned into a huge grin.

Loranna raises her eyebrows, her lips curling into a surprised smile.

" ... Really?" she asks. " ... Cause, well ... I admit to having had some wanton thoughts regarding you, me, and one of the priestesses ..."

... Careful Lor; the Temple may have been a brothel but you're not turning to Dibella just to justify having wanton fun, Loranna chides herself. She blushes a little at her own libido.

Meanwhile, outside, guards can be heard approaching the Mage Guild, attracted by the confrontation at the front door.

He raised an eyebrow curiously, then chuckled a bit as he saw her blush.

'Sounds okay... but try not to revert back to your old habits before Azura came into your life... well, at least not completely.'

He gave gave her a half-worried, half-happy smile.

Loranna's expression quickly becomes serious. "I don't intend to," she tells Slyvos, her lips curling into a slight frown. "I'm not ashamed of us trying such things, but I'm mindful of overdoing it; I'm not joining Dibella's Temple just for that, after all ..."

A mage sitting in another part of the room stirs a bit; Loranna's frown becomes more pronounced.

" ... So, is there anything else on your mind, love?" she asks, seeking to change the subject.

The void was outside of all things known, and bigger than all things known, bigger than so many infinities, and the void was darker than dark, and very, very cold. At one point in the emptiness, which was at once all places, but still then only one, Arynel drifted, where it was dark Arynel’s cloak radiated with shining light, where it was cold Arynel’s cloak emitted warmth. In the Breton’s hand was a polished piece of wood carved in the shape of an egg.

It was hardly a noteworthy item, not an artifact of any type, but merely a nick knack purchased at a shop while in Menevia. Though it had little material worth, and as of yet had no magickal properties, Arynel, with what little money he had with him, had purchased the item and taken it back to Ald Raathim. Here he was, now, in the void, with it.

And that was not all; the Breton had something else, too. Reaching into his cloak he retrieved a shard of glass, from which trailed a long, thin thread of shining starlight. He placed his hand through the wooden piece, which, like all things in the void, was no longer a boundary to inquisitive fingers. Using the shard of glass he carved the shimmering thread into the solidd space at the center of the wooden piece, inscribing secret words that he did not know himself, but his hands found by saying:

Every recognizable instance is merely a retelling of the origin myth, that is, the conflict of opposing forces played out in such a way as to lead to something of tangible significance.

Arynel then pulled his hand back a small distance and he began to carve new words, though not in the center nor on the outer edge, words which he did not know, but his hands found by saying:

Every moment becomes then a font of infinite possibility, with the multitude of paths spreading out like a branching tree, and this then is the fruit, that we may see beyond our dream spans.

Finally, the Breton drew back his hands again and began to inscribe unknown words on the surface of the wooden egg, which his hands found by saying:

Each horizon becomes merely a road marker for further travels, and we find level within level, one inside another like an egg, ripe with branching possibilities, virile and golden.

'you got some new stuff I see... where did you get the time to do this?'

The Bosmer had thought right, AND made a mistake. Tos'un had trained himself not to feel pain, so, virtually, he felt nothing. He responded to the Cyrcius' question, "I might. And you just made the biggest mistake of your life. Never draw a weapon against me, for it will prove to be your downfall." With that said, he did a spin kick and kicked the Tanto out of Cyrcius' hand. He then front kicked the other hand that held the dagger, which promptly flew up, out of the hand, and the to the ground behind Tos'un. "Now you have no weapons, and I shall surely defeat you." Faster than a speeding bullet, Tos'un was upon the little mer, and had delivered a solid blow to the gut. He backed off to see the damage, and wait for the mer to recover from it.

Inside the Mage Guild

Loranna smiles a bit, showing off her new toe rings and ankle bracelets. "Like them? I picked up the jewelry back in Menevia at the Temple and bought a bunch of summoning scrolls here - I was in the summoning room for an hour calling up Golden Saints and trapping them. The enchanter here did the work; he's pretty good, though I know a couple people who can give him a run for his money."

She winks, then turns as the farcas outside becomes more aduible to those within. "What the heck?"

Outside the Mage Guild

"Halt! Halt! Halt!" The familiar chorus of law and order rings forth as a trio of guards, armored in fine steel armor and bearing swords enchanted with fatigue drain (the Mage Guild being quite happy to provide such for a reasonable fee) show up to stare at the two figures.

"You there! Desist now or else we use force," the head guard tells both men. "Come quietly and the law shall show leinency."

Posted by: Nordic_bandit Apr 7 2005, 04:02 AM

He pulled down his hood, and took off his mask. He then guestured towards the figure of the Bosmer, Cyrcius, "This man right here was stalking my friend and when I tried to talk to him, he began to fight me. I was fighting in Self Defense."

Posted by: Dagoth Lich Apr 7 2005, 04:05 AM

He listened for a second, then heard a slight click-clack noise amongst the ruccus.

'I think we should at least check it out... sounds like we're missing something..'

Posted by: Jakut Apr 7 2005, 04:09 AM

As Didryn was about to turn the corner to the Mages' Guild he hears someone yelling.

"Halt! Halt! Halt!" he managed to make out. Must be some kind of a fight. he thinks to himself. He turns the corner and sees one of the two apparent brawlers speaking to the guards.

Even with everyone's attention on the fight, he still managed to attract a few uneasy looks at his arm.

Posted by: Aki Apr 7 2005, 04:09 AM

Tohe watched the fight and the subsquent Guard's interuption with mild interest. "Aww..they ruined the fight.." he muttered.

Reichi meanwhile, began to seek out a better armor than netch, which had bad habbit of attracting stares. The people weren't used to the site of a Dunmer clad in armor they'd never seen before.

OOC: DELETED

Posted by: Teleran Apr 7 2005, 04:13 AM

Teleran rose from his reverie and came into town. After a brief stopover at the local pub, the Dirty Muskrat, to sample a local brew he made his way to the mages guild but stopped short when he saw the guards surrounding a Bosmer and a large mer. He heard the Nord’s plea of self defense, but he also heard the mutterings in the crowd concerning a backstabbing Dunmer that popped out of the air. He chose to stay to the side for the moment, no sense in drawing attention from the guards.

"I see; you can both give your stories to the constable," the head guard says, motioning for Tos'un and Cyrcius to come with them.

As Tos'un and Cyrcius are being led away, Loranna and Slyvos exit the Guild, seeing the two being led off. Loranna blinks, wondering what the party's newest member has done to get himself arrested.

"Bloody ..." she mutters under her breath, though she does spot Didryn.

And as people are led to the local lock up, I do hereby call for a lock on this topic. I'm so witty tongue.gif
