Another RP thread completed, and this one was one of the wildest
rides I've had the pleasure of partaking in.
My sincerest thanks and love to everyone who took part, and to all of you who
watched and enjoyed our story.
Let the wind down, epiloging, commenting, and general celebrations begin!

Just for clarification, feel free to post in-character or
out-of-character, here. Both players and characters deserve a party
after that!

OOC Summaries:
Allerleirauh is caring for Sen-Yedda, Vehk and Azura's child, at Ald Raathim.
Soon she will start on her way to her home in Daggerfall.
Sen-Yedda is born! Yay! She has golden eyes like her father, not Azurite blue.
She's also the first baby born in Vvardenfell since... who knows when. Thus
putting an end to the Curse of Seed.
Tris and Ciel are planning to discuss Ciel becoming seneshal of Solunastra, the
Void Ranger guildhouse in Daggerfall. Then they can live together in peace.
Tris's father still wants to kill him, Herwyn Brand, Queen Elysana's spymaster,
is still hunting him, and Elysana wants to kill Ciel. But life is good!
Dragon is bathing in the river with Nalion and Aricyn. He got to show off his
leet skillz in the main battle. I guess he's not bored anymore.
Mirea stuck her pointy nose out of the Void long enough to see Dante and
Illidan getting along like brothers again.
Doll, after serving as a mage to Cyndarius during the battle, is checking to be
sure Master Solin is okay.
Skein and Tamne, the Azurite girl, are at Solunastra. Tamne seems to have found
peace with the idea of staying with Allerleirauh, finally.

OOC:
Great group, everyone! We all pulled together at the end.
Kudos to the folks who let their characters be killed to add drama to the
climax: Yasur, Celeste, the good folks of Blacklight. And Meph the Talking Dog!

(OOC Summaries:)
Okay, this is my first summary ever! I figured it was necessary, just so
we could keep track of who lived in glory and who died... in glory. ^-^
Aricyn is happily washing the blood of a thousand men off of himself in the
river with Dragon and Nalion, despite having shouted his lungs out.
The old wolf, his constant companion, is also alive and well, as is Kynidius,
his well-liked horse.
Magnilde, the Large Breasted Widow of Bolverk, is dead. Every man in Skyrim
will mourn her passing, but none so much as Aricyn. She was pregnant with his
child when she died.
Helgi Hagslayer, the handsome young Nord who served as standard bearer for the
great army, is alive and drunk, having been bought a pint by every Nord in Ald
Raathim.
Cyndarius, Aricyn's brother, is alive and well in
Leseth is alone in the Void, feeling lonely. His companion, Bosriel, is...
gone.
So, for all those left alive, let the party begin!

.:Far Beneath the
In small room filled with books, an ancient Breton sits writing on a desk up
against a wall. He glances at the three lanterns hanging above him on the wall,
one of which is filled by a blazing golden flame, that seemed almost magickal,
but is interrupted by the door bursting open.
"Is it done?" The elderly man asked hoarsly.
"Yes," replied a young dunmer man, grinning slyly "The emperor
will have a little... suprise coming soon."
The old mans withered face produces what looks like a grin, but it is hard to
tell with all the wrinkles. The dunmer leaves, and as the door shuts, the room
is filled with a bright, green light, which joins the beautiful golden rays. He
turns back to the lanturns, and now one more is lit. While the first one is
made of pure gold and studded with beautiful rubies, emeralds, and diamonds,
the second one is made of hardened ash, and it's intricate carvings are barely
legible from all the scratches and cracks in it, as if a beast has mauled it.
It's light is none-the-less beautiful, though. One more lanturn remains unlit,
this one made of a dark red stone, it's carvings depicting death and
destruction.
The ancient breton nods.
"The end of an era approaches," he pauses, as if to think. "The
new one will be ours."
OOC: Well, that was certainly a fun ride, even though I was only on it for the
last section. Can anyone guess where that "emerald fire" came from?

Summary for Loranna:
Loranna, after her experiences at
For her immediate future, however, she will be cleaning up and helping Ald
Raathim get back on its feet. She still is mindful of the promise she made way
back before the 'trial' at Vivec that spawned the Azurites, and will likely
look to take part in the rebuilding of Vvardenfell.
Beyond that, right now, will depend a bit on the ultimate fate of Jazbet; if he
awakens, Loranna will be discussing marriage plans with him as soon as his
lovable, furry-cheeked self is ready to think coherently - oh, yeah, she'll
probably be trying to keep him INcoherent for a day or two - which will entail all sorts of things, but will at least promise
to be a joyous time for a really fun party above and beyond the one we're gonna
throw now.
Some time soon, Loranna would also like to talk to Tris about the worship of
Dibella; after having mantled Dibella this last Hogithum, Loranna finally feels
she has found a goddess she can feel comfortable worshipping.
Beyond that ... who can say? Who knows what challenges await just trying to
repair the damage that has been done, or the next time a strange and
seemingly-unbeatable threat will arise to threaten us all? Perhaps she'll get a
chance to look up her father sometime, or find herself learning whatever
happened to poor Lord Darius and his band of servants and guards.
We shall see; until then though ...
Loranna

Illidan, back at Jazbet's estate, having Dante get along with him.
Brum, Inzoliah, Merciander and friends, an island somewhere. Watching the world
drift by.
Posted by: Nalion Mar 22 2005, 01:30 PM
IC Summary:
Nalion has had a icey encounter of the wet kind as he was thrown into a nearby
river by Aricyn.
The Breton mage has been through a hell of a ride in the last days, but now, he
- all - were able to finally relax. Things felt just right now and he
cherished this feeling. There will be exchange of thoughts, laughter and grief
later, but for now, he is content. Nalion felt strangely clean, in body, mind
and soul. He had been gifted with something he would treasure all his life: he
had been part of shaping the events on Nirn with his friends.
Eyes closed, the Breton mage slowly paddles the cold water of the river, a
smile resting on his relaxed features.
OOC
Wow, I'm still out of breath. That was a hilarious ride. I really can't find
proper words, except that is was my greatest pleasure and honour to be part of
this.
My great thanks to you all, those who took part, those who provided guidance,
those who were watching us doing this crazy stuff. Thank you!

Thank you everyone for this opportunity. You're all very talented RPrs, and I
think all our writing skills have improved a great deal from this.
In these RPs we've destroyed villages, started a new race, summoned a daedra,
broke the dragon....wow, uber lore stuff right there.
Kickin' stuff kids.

Oh yeah; before I forget Teleran is in Ald Raathim, in Shai's room.

Words can't say what I'm feeling. So exhilarated.
I wish I'd been here from the start.
One thing that caught my eye was Allerleirauh saying that Arynel had come as a
boy, and now stood with power almost a god...that captured the spirit of the RP
perfectly.
So of the three characters I played, one of them is in seclusion, one of them
is looking at the prospect of settling down, and one is dead.
My god...
I feel so dazed, like it really was me standing up there on behalf of Zenithar,
that it was me who helped save the world...
Like reading an epic where you are living the life of one of the heroes. I was
a hero! I was there for a dragon break, and I represented Zenithar! I fought
Azura in hand-to-hand combat, and broke the magickal control on my mind,
throwing myself to death for the sake of the world!
*shudders*
I am at a loss for words. Thank you all, so much, this has been so wonderful.
Thank you...
Until next time.

I sadly had to pull out just as things got interesting in the
vaults, but such life is. I havent quite figured out what exactly I'm gonna
have Erenius do about all this. (gonna have to reread at least the past 16
threads to figure out what has happened.......)
But such it is, and I did enjoy the part I had to play in this, and mayhaps
more shall come at a later time from another of us.

That was a BLAST!
As for some Summaries...
Reichi, Tohe, and Eya are for the short-short-short term, cleaning off and
waiting out their wolf-sides in the woods. In the long term they'll probably
hang around Ald Raathim, maybe.
Reichi might end up taking a run to Balmora to get his book, provided some
Azurite didn't lose it somewhere.
Of course, he'll need some new armor too...whats that, the 7th set i've gone
through?
Raddin is definaltly retiring from the WHOT, leaving his brother Afinhanger to
deal with the assloads of paperwork and rebuilding the institution will
have...and is looking in a less violent way of dealing with Were-beasts. Like a
method involving curing or controlling the curse. Afterall, its not like
repairing armor and weaponry is cheap! Not everyone exactly jumps at the
opurntunity to hunt some of the fiercest predators on Nirn either, oh, and his
neice and her friends are Werewolves. So thats some incentive as well.
Dar'Var, meanwhile, is trying to figure out why he didn't get kerploded with
the rest of the Azurites. Its a bit shocking to have the female Khajiit you're
flirting with suddenly go *poof* with like, half of the bar...
Posted by: SEKKA Mar 23 2005, 02:17 AM
OOC: very fun guys though i was in and out...
Summaries: Meph sacrificed himself in the battle, the Cave of the Dog is now
filled with young members of a new sect of mages known as the Cult of the Dog,
they are dedicated to researching the senses and growing more aware of their
surroundings. They also are known for taking in those cursed by Gods
(especially sheogorath) and helping them as best as they can.
Sekka is wandering Tamriel looking for goods times and trying to stay out of
jail...or asylums. He was recently located by some disciples of the Cult of the
Dog and told of Meph's death, and even agreed to come to the cave to recieve
treatment, late one night the head mage heard a clanking sound and Sekka had
vanished again, and with him some of thier best silverware.

some part in creating in the first place.
Yeah, a break for a while will be nice ... time to plot more doom!

Jazbet's Castle
The day, once Loranna had gone out to tend to the wounded, had been hectic;
even with people using potions to fix themselves up while they waited, there
were injuries that still needed healing, curses from enemy mages that needed
dispelling, cure disease spells to be cast to stave off infections of dirty
wounds ...
It was well into the next day when Loranna, still going thanks to a fatigue
potion, finally felt that the brave men and mer who fought on Hogithum were
tended to enough for her to take a break. Returning to the castle and accepting
some food from Razbiah - even bland cooking was welcome when one had skipped
breakfast and lunch - Loranna heads up to Jazbet's room, to tend to him as
well.
She sits by Jazbet's side, doing what little she can for him right now,

Sen-Yedda was clean and fed and sleeping. Little babies were the best,
Allerleirauh thought. Even when they were upset their voices were too small for
them to complain much. Now Arynel was watching over the baby, and Allerleirauh
had time to tend to other business.
She paused at the door of Jazbet's room, looking at Loranna. She had hoped for
something different.
"Loranna?" she asked softly, sitting on the bed, touching the warm
hand of the motionless Khajiit. "How are you?"

Nice RP. At first I wanted to join in near the end... until I
realized that in order to do so, I would have to read not only all 23 parts of
"Blue Dawn", but also all 30 parts of "Evening/Morning Star
Parade", as well as all 11 parts of "Trail of Frozen Tears",
plus all 5 parts of "Noble Seamstress' Spotted Owls" and all 5 parts
of "Hearthfire ball." With each part ~200 posts, thats about 14,800
posts I would have to read. Naturally, I decided not to. You should perhaps
consider making short summaries of everything that went on in each RP

If you would like, one of us could summarize what has happened in the RP.
But, I think it would be just as well to join in as you are, and come to the
chatroom (#loranna_rp). There will fill you in on a few basic things, and the
rest you figure out while RPing. Think of it like being a person in the world,
you won't automatically know about everything that's happened, but you'll learn
about it as news spreads.

Jazbet's estate-
Dante emerged from his room, he had cleaned himself up greatly and his hair
posessed a healthy shine. He was no longer dressed in his armour, in fact, he
was having doubts that he was ever going to have to put it back on again...any
time soon, at least.
Instead now, he was wearing a pair of loose fitting common pants, and a
commoners shirt. It was tight, and molded around his chest, not to mention the
sleeves were rather short. Dante headed out of his room and down towards the
beach again, contempt on relaxing in the hammock he had occupied earlier.

The ghostly figure of Yasur stared into the Darkness Where am
I? Last thing I remember is falling to the ground in that battle.
"Where you are matters not. Where you will be is
important" Said a voice, one that was neither male nor
female, and seemed to be everywhere at once, even Yasur's mind.
"You again? Why don't you show yourself?" Yasur shouted, his voice
echoing.
"Very well."
Streams of light travelled through the darkness, forming a young Altmeri woman.
She had beautiful golden hair that almost seemed to shine with the power of the
sun, even though she was semi-transperant. She wore a golden robe, that was
simple, yet elegant. She also wielded a glorious golden sword, that seemed to
radiate with the same energy as her hair.
"Someone certainly likes gold." Yasur said with a grin.
After giving Yasur a quick frown, she spoke. "It was my downfall, just as
yours was rage. What I wear and wield is not my choice." She continues.
"Now, follow me." She points to a space where particles of light form
a doorway.
"Where are we going?" Yasur asks.
"You shall see soon enough." She replied, stepping into the doorway.
"Well, here goes." Yasur says taking a step into the light...

[Ten days ago, Temple to Dibella, somewhere outside the Imperial
City]
*Erenius awoke at last, after countless days of being unconscious, he finds
himself back in Cyrodiil...*
"And where might I be?" he asks, looking about as he props himself up
against the bed's headboard.
"You are well enough...and this place is a temple to the Nine," the
priest says calmly. "We wonderred if you were to awake."
"Well, at last I have awoken," Erenius says, taking inventory of his
things, noting that everything from Ald Raathim was in his room right now.
However, some things were changed, his armour was rusted, his blade dull, and a
few coins were missing from his purse.
"Yes...we have taken some of your coins and bought a burnt estate in the
Imperial City," the priest says.
"The estate once belonged to a Lord Darius, I imagine?" Erenius
inquires, wonderring if the estate was the same one as the manor he burned down
to retrieve that ancient ebony-plated goblet.
"The same one...he decided not to rebuild it as he has gone missing. To
where they are, almost known," the servent of the Nine replies.
===---===
[Currently, Matrius manor, Imperial City, Cyrodiil]
"Ah, so it is nearly as it was," Erenius says, content at the rebuilt
appearance of the exterior and the redesiigned interior, including an enlarged
dining area, ballroom, and many other areas, some redone, others entirely new.
"Yes," the foreman of the reconstruction group says, giving Erenius a
tour of the manor. "Everything has been repaired, some new areas are built,
and whatever had survived the fire is still here, refinished, and in the
library for display..
'Much has happened, and more has yet to come...' he thinks to himself,
contemplating just what he should do with his new house. 'But
regardless...there is one last thing that should be dealt with....'

Ald Raathim:
The mood in the tavern in Ald Raathim was an odd mix of celebration and wake.
Many of the villagers hadn't come home from Red Mountain. And the news was out:
Jazbet, Lord of Daruhn, was dying at last. But those who were alive raised
their cups and toasted and sang.
"I really liked him," Tris said. He had passed from the stage of
talking and singing to the stage of drunkenly leaning against Ciel, knowing
that he would remember none of this tomorrow. "Poor Loranna. You know what
I said to her? I said, if one of you dies before you see each other again,
you'll regret not accepting his proposal for the rest of your life. And now
look."

on the table. The barkeep knew that sound meant "refill".
"That's just the way of it, i'n it?" he said, his tongue, and
therefore his accent, thicker than usual. "What I want to know is, what
does life have against happy couples, eh? You tell me that...
"Bah! You can't tell me anything. Look at th' two of you... you made it
out of this, and you're still happy!"
Tris made a sign against bad luck.
"Every man in this bar is sorry your woman didn't come back,
Aricyn..."
He raised his glass to the crowd. "TO THE SNOW WHITE MOUNTAINS OF
SKYRIM!"
His words were met by a cheer. When his cup had been refilled, he patted
Aricyn's shoulder awkwardly. "I'm damn sorry, Aricyn... nothing to
say..."

work cutting her hair.
"Why cut it so short?" The Breton asked her.

"Well... 'guess she was my woman, afterall. Never really thought of
her that way, you know. But, if a woman goes and gets pregnant by you, there's
something there, then, you know?"
He took another deep drink, and a huge tear rolled out of his eye.
"You know what the really sad thing is? The really sad thing?"
He put one huge arm around Tris's shouders, spilling a bit of ale on his shirt.
"When she fell, she was riding my old horse!
"Kyne... I'm going to miss that horse..."

"Why cut it so short?" The Breton asked her.
Sen-Yedda rested in an antique, primitive cradle of Khajiit design, built in
the days when Daruhn was still worked by slaves.
Allerleirauh had braided her coarse grey hair into a single braid, as thick as
a man's forearm. Now she was trimming it close to the scalp, with scissors.
"It takes time to mess with it," she said. Her voice was grim.
"I have a baby to take care of."
She ran her hands over her close cropped head, and her voice softened.
"Besides. Look."
The remaining hair, less than an inch long, lay silkily against her skull, and
shone like starlight. "It's been growing back."

Then she smiled. "You have that long. As many years as you want. Don't

"A week then, I'll hold you to that. Live, will I, so long as I would come

"Oh for pity's sake," Allerleirauh said. "I'm going to kiss you

She leaned in to kiss him. But there was a knock on the door.
It was Kallen, Lord Jazbet's seneshal. The normally unflappable young Kallen
looked drawn, like someone weighed down by a load of misery.
"I'm sorry to interrupt you, Lady Allerleirauh," he said.
"But... I heard you would be leaving soon... please, I have to talk to

Words poured out of the usually close-mouthed young Dunmer. What would become
of Daruhn, with Jazbet dead? What would become of the staff of the castle, of
the freed workers in the fields, of the new city?
"Set your mind at ease," Allerleirauh said, resting a hand on his

"In Skyrim, bedding someone and giving them a ring is a marriage,"
Allerleirauh said. "There are disputes about the words all the time. The
last I heard the decision was that words of intent... words of the future...
were good enough, if the couple also made love. But that's Skyrim. I don't know

It was a lie, Allerleirauh thought, but a very white one. After all, the fact
that Daruhn's lord hadn't been awake to hear Loranna accept his proposal didn't
change the truth that he had offered, and she had accepted.
"In Skyrim, that, and the ring, and making love, which I know you have

But none of the servants knew where the body was either.
Necromancers? There had been one, in the woods nearby.

*Dagoth's Tower, ritual chamber*
In the large chamber stood countless skeletons and Bonelords. Around a stone
table floated 8 candles with a purple flame. Directly in front of the table
stood Dagoth, his phylactery in one hand, an unidentifable and dark looking
powder held as best he could in the other. He was chanting powerful Arcane
syllables, a brilliant green glow of raw magicka flowing through him and his
minons. One by one their dead forms disolved into Atherius, then flowing into
the body on the slab from the purple-flamed candles. Finally the energies of
the ritual flowed fully through Dagoth and the corpse; his phylactery being
used as a conduit for the power. Finally Dagoth's form dissolved into Atherius
as well, and from the phylactery, his essence and soul flowed into the body.
As the ritual completed, the phylactery fell to the floor, powerless, empty,
and without a purpose. The body's eyeless sockets glowed a magnificant green
for a moment, and then returned to their normal emptyness. It sucked in a long
untaken breath and got up from the table. At last, Dagoth Lich, was alive. But
he would no longer go by that name any more. He would finally reveal his real name...
the one he used in life. Slyvos Araberith.
'I live... I breath.... it worked. I am whole once more. I hope that now... I
can give to Loranna what I could not in death...'
He put on a spare robe, and recalled to Jazbet's Estate, appearing down the hall
from where Loranna was.

Loranna was still standing in the doorway to Jazbet's room, feeling like

wordlessly when the other woman went off to talk to the servants, and was
catching her breath.
" ... Must of finally let go of life," she reasons after a minute.
"No need to get all worked up ... well, beyond the fact that he's truly

Minutes pass, and Allie does not return; Loranna frowns. What was taking so
long?
Loranna hears footfalls down the corridor; she turns, expecting Allie or a
servant.
She sees a familiar form walking toward her, awkwardly making his way. She lets
out a surprised yell, stepping backwards ...
... for Jazbet's lithe, lovely form was somehow on his feet and walking.

She grabs Dagoth by his robe and says " ... What the bloody hell are you

"Dagoth, why? Why did you take Jazbet's body?" she demands, her voice

QUOTE(Dagoth Lich @ Mar 23 2005, 11:37 PM)
He was a bit confused, and then it clicked. 'Duh, oh course
she would be upset, damn I should have thought this through more...'
He placed his hands on Loranna's and lowered his head a bit.
'I... I figure out why you were so sad... and I wanted to try and do something
to comfort you. I realized I couldn't as a lich... and nothing was useing this
body anyway... so I... you know... I'm not a lich anymore, Loranna...'
He presented the empty, unglowing phylactery.
Loranna could literally see Dagoth realize what she must be thinking; his
expressions in Jazbet's body were uncannily like the expressions he mimed with
his old illusionary disguise. Those expressions looked strange on Jazbet's
face, immediately dispelling any notion that her Khajiit husband had somehow
come back from the dead; anyone who knew Jazbet would see that in a moment.
"You ... you took Jazbet's body ... to be able to comfort me ..." she
says, staring at Dagoth for a long moment. Her expression softens, and her eyes
moisten.
" ... You ... took Jazbet's body ..." she says again, starting to
snort and chuckle. " ... You made yourself mortal again in his flesh, his
lovely, unused flesh ..."
She laughs, pulling Dagoth into an embrace. " ... You crazy, inspired,
daring old dear ... I don't believe you DID that! Oh by the Wheel, you adorably
brazen ... you!"
Loranna kisses Dagoth on his face and cheeks, her tears wetting his face.
"You brave and beautiful former bag of bones; you realize what you've
done? You realize just what you've done? Taking the body of your former
romantic rival to comfort his widow; sacrificing thousands of years of power
built up as a lich ... all for your feelings for me. And they thought you were
brave when you took down that writhing mass of tentacles the other day! You
make yourself seem like a rank coward then compared to yourself now!"
She pulls him in close and plants a loving kiss on his lips.

At that moment, the deep-throated growl of the Welwa was heard, from the other

saw Jazbet walking, and leaped to conclusions.
"Vile necromancer, YOU DARE? Turn and face your death."

Then, after glancing out the window, he added, "In the middle of the

Somehow rumor traveled like lightning to the forests in Cyrodiil.
Word spread that a great hero was coming into the region. Some called him a
saint of Zenithar, but that title was based on opinion, and the wildest of
speculations regarding very recent events.
The man himself, he ignored all of them. He disappeared into a cave and did not
come out for many days.
Finally, a bold villager approached the cavern, searching for wealth - the
highly obscure rumor suggested that Zenithar could bless him through the man.
This was, of course, untrue, but the villager had no idea. In fact, any
suggestion of sainthood at all was untrue. But rumor had spread from Ald
Raathim involving this very man, and something to do with Zenithar. It had been
corrupted by various people en route and this was the result.
As he took a step into the cavern, a huge blast of lightning flew out to meet
him.
It stopped an inch away from his face.
He ran.

Loranna gives voice to a powerful cry, leaping forward to put herself squarely
between Dagoth and the Welwa; her tearstreaks catch the light as she holds her
hands up, her voice ringing through the corridor.
"IT'S DAGOTH! HOLD YOUR WRATH, ALLIE!!!" cries the lover fully
prepared to face down a Dawn Beast to protect her beloved. With neither sword

Just the strength of her love, shining forth. Just the love of the beauty of

She tore hastily at the skin of her face, peeling it back and becoming a woman
again, in a cloak of many furs. It was hard to think as a Welwa.
She was breathing hard, almost hyperventilating. Because it seemed wrong, so
wrong, and yet hadn't she been thinking almost this very thing when she sat
beside the spiritless Jazbet, touching his warm hand? She had thought, well,
I guess Dagoth will comfort Loranna - if only there were some way to fix him,
so that he wasn't a lich.
"It feels wrong," she whispered. "But that's just the

Then it began to click more in Reichi's half sleeping mind. "Oh..."

afterall, a Lich, and Liches weren't exactly the most ethical of people.
Besides, Jazbet's soul was gone, his body was essentially just a shell.
It was a rather Bosmeri veiw, but hey, you can't let good living bodies go to
waste. He shrugged at the group. "Loranna's got a point," he said
simply. He seemed mellow about the situation, but of course, he was still
shaking off sleep. Besides, he was a Werewolf, and a former Assassin, his views
of the world were far from normal.

There was a book, newly written in the library of Jazbet's
estate, it had been written after the party had returned, though no author was
given.
A Flower That Never Withers
There was once a sweet little girl who lived in an orphanage because she had no
parents. She was a good girl and when she could she loved to play and run and
laugh, she loved the grass and how it tickled her toes and she loved the sky
and how it was big and bright on a warm spring day. She loved the birds that
flew around in the sky and she loved the fish that swam around in the water and
she loved all the little animals the crawled and hopped and scurried over the
earth, and she loved, most of all, the flowers that sprouted and grew up tall
and sent forth shoots and buds that unfolded into colorful blossoms. That day,
she held one of those blossoms, freshly picked, in her fingers.
So she sat there, that sweet little girl in the grassy field with the just
picked flower in her fingers and the sky over her like a raiment and the little
pond a few paces off where the earth dipped in and was filled with water.
"Such a pity,“ a soft voice called from behind, "such a beautiful
green, I see, to wither as all others do.“
The little girl looked up to see a dainty old lady with straight, shoulder
lengthed grey hair. "It’s a beautiful flower,“ she said, "but there
are others.“
"Very true, child,“ the old lady said, "I find it sad, though, but
even the brightest colors fade, and even the most virile blooms whither. I will
tell you a secret, though, it does not have to be so, nor was it always, the
colors can be made to stay forever bright and glowing.“
At this the little girl looked up more attentively than before, asking, "How
can this be, can you make this flower last forever and never wither?“
The old lady smiled at the little girl, saying: "Such a sweet child, such
a lovely green, would you like to never see such colors fade or such bloom
whilt as is on your hand?“
"Yes, very much so, ma’am, I would love that dearly.“ The little girl
said. "Oh, but I do not think it will ever be that way, ah well, there are
other flowers.“
"Ah, but child, there is a way, oh yes there is a way and I will show you
if you’d like.“ The old lady said. "I will show you how, would you like
that?“
"Yes, yes I would,“ the little girl said, squirming with anticipation,
"Please, show me what I have to do.“
"Very well then,“ the old lady said, sitting down in front of the little
girl, "listen to me very closely and do as I say, are you ready?“
The sweat little girl giggled and nodded in the affirmative, and her facial
expression said more than the vocal ever could.
"Very good, child,“ the old lady said, "now you must take the flower,
such a lovely bloom, and place in on the ground between us.“
Gently the little girl placed the flower on the ground between them, and then
looked up at the old lady.
"Good, now, take hold of my hands,“ the old lady said, holding out her
open, skyward facing palms.
The little girl timidly placed her hands on the old lady's, and found that they
were warm and soft, if a bit wrinkled. Their fingers interlocked.
"Good, child, very good,“ the old lady said, "and now you must pick
up the flower, could anything be more simply done?“
"But,“ the little girl pleaded, "you have my hands, how can I pick it
up?“
"What is this, have you changed you mind?“ The old lady asked. "Do
you want those colors to last forever and this bloom to never wither?“
"Yes, yes, of course I do,“ the little girl said, "but you ask me to
do something that’s impossible, you ask me to pick up the flower while you hold
my hands, I cannot do this, it cannot be done.“
"Yes, child, there is nothing without a price.“ The old lady said.
"This, too, has a price. I held your hands still so that you would know
the price of this. Now, tell me, do you still wish the same, that you would
never see these colors fade and this flower wilt?“
The little girl looked down at the flower and frowned, but finally she returned
her gaze to the old lady, saying simply: "Yes.“
The old lady nodded and opened her fingers, allowing the little girls hands to
wiggle free. The little girl looked at her questioningly, to which the old lady
offered a smile and a nod. The little girl reached out towards the flower on
the ground, and when her finger touched it she became stone, the last image she
had seen, that of the flower, forever imprinted in her mind, to last for all
eternity.

Out of character of course and a bit delayed but, still I think
it will be fine.
My, my, that was fun run indeed. Quite the ending too! Many thanks to all
involved, even those who fell along the way. I never did get to see Faril or
Arcius return, perhaps the future holds something for the man… and then again
maybe not. There’s a big world out there yet, who knows who else might be in
it?
Solin concluded his watch of Red Mountain with a happy note.
And after a length struggle, the Breton knight, Ciel, faces a brighter future.
Congratulations folks, job well done.

Greetings all! By way of introduction, I've been lurking in
these threads since roughly Ghostgate in the parade through Morrowind. You're
all terrific writers and it has been a blast reading what you've come up with.
As this basically appears to have started back up again and I've been meaning
to join in, this seems a decent point to introduce a character. I'm a newcomer
to this entire concept basically, so feel free to offer any pointers. They'd be
much appreciated. I'm deciding between the following characters (no names yet,
I'm not very good at coming up with those):
A. Orcish Werebear. Basically a hero without a cause or a teacher. He wants to
make a mark so he seeks out the now legendary heroes of Ald Raathim. Has an
amulet that allows him to change/unchange at will which is a family relic
passed down for several hundred years along with the gift/curse. A
straightforward warrior type looking to learn how to increase his skills. Has
some knowledge of alchemy.
B. Imperial Blades agent. Very nice guy overall. Sent to monitor and protect
imperial citizen Loranna Pyrel, because the emperor is tired of interesting and
occasionally world threatening things happening around her and hearing about
them after the fact. Finds the assignment awkward but hopes to make himself
unobtrusive and useful.
C. Telvanni Breton. Prodigy of Baladas Demnevanni, he figured out how the
Dwemer break the earthbones governing time and decay roughly 600 years ago at
the age of 48 and hasn't aged since. Partially cybernetic (left arm and eye)
and obsessed with the Dwemer. Has spent the last few hundred years working on
his masterpiece, a nearly completed animunculi based on the design of the Steam
Centorian but made of Ebony and able to recall and levitate. Can be commanded
through a direct neural link. He's got a couple of working but much weaker
"proof of concept" prototypes, most of which are very limited.
Grumpy, but really a decent guy who isn't as selfish and power hungry as he
likes to think he is.
D. Argonian Wanderer (nearly identical to Monk class but with Illusion and
Spear instead of Light armor and Blunt Weapon). He seeks knowledge and he wants
to help those who preserved life (since he views self-determination as central
to what life is. Deeply noble and honorable, a little standoffish. Very smart
and quite skilled at alchemy.
E. Orcish Barbarian. Lives in a cave in the west gash region of Morrowind which
was abandoned by smugglers some time ago. He is skilled at crafting armor from
Dreugh hides and Netch Leather, and makes about one fine set of Dreugh armor
ever two-three years for sale. He hunts the Dreugh himself. He also knows a bit
of alchemy and enjoys hunting for different reagents and figuring out what they
all do. He likes heavy one handed weapons like war axes and maces so he can use
a shield. He's joining the group because he wants adventure and figures hanging
out with famous heroes is a good way to find it.
Which do you think would fit in best? Any suggestions?
And please, let me know if I'm messing anything up. I'm not as skilled a writer
as you are and I'm new to this whole RP business.
Thanks everyone

Justin, if you possibly can, get into the chat at #Loranna_rp on
chatspike. There's a link in the first post of the last rp thread.
I like the Argonian and the Orc. We don't have any other Orc players (unless
you count Leseth) and only one Argonian.

Solin:
…then the wave lapped gently against the mangroves, eventually it would fall on
the sandy shore and slide back into the sea. He was alone, it was almost
strange. The constant whir of the world underneath the skin of the simulacrum
had been a constant companion in these moments for so long. Now it was gone.
Finally gone.
Solin loved the beauty of the water, the interplay of light on its surface, the
rippling reflection. Too busy to think, much less lie. Moving water
resembles truth by its trembling.
He waited, his shirt had long since been replaced, his body cleaned, and his
large pack now carried a new suspicious bulge.

"I missed you," Doll said simply. "I wanted to be sure you are

The "present" was standing within the forest. Doll lifted it by the

no longer whirred or gave off fire, but its intricate features were still very
marvelous to behold.
"I think it is broken," Doll said. "Or perhaps it only had

"That was the design," he finally said quietly, tapping the metal

He took a step back.
"I am well too," he said smiling again. "You seem to be alright

The young woman looked the Argonian up and down. Although the last day had
taken its toll on the population of Ald Raathim, there were still many
strangers about. As always, the castle proper was closed to those without reason
to be there.
""Cracking eggs'?" The woman looked confused. "You looking
for the cook, then? New kitchen help?"
Without waiting for an answer, she swung the door open and added, "Right,
then, follow me. This way, come on! Don't just stand there!"

Razbiah turned her stern red eyes on the girl and the strange Argonian as they
entered her kitchen.
Out of the corner of his eye, Swims-in-Clouds could see what he swore was a
huge wolf. The beast was hiding in the shadows near the fireplace, and creeped
slowly out as attention was turned to the newcomers, as if it stalked
something.
"What's this?" Razbiah said. "Mealtime's not for hours. Who's

Balmora, the night before-
A dark figure rose from the Odai, it's pearl coloured eyes glinting in the
darkness. It was Volrina, "Victorious are we, on this night. Balmora is
ours." After she spoke these words, there was a moments silence, broken by
the loud hiss like cheers of vampires amongst the town. They dove into the
blood red Odai, and celebrated. But there was no time for that.
Loud clanging noises could be heard throughout the town, The vampires were now
breaking into the houses and scavenging whatever it is that they could find.
The vampires in the Odai would dive underneath the red water and resurface,
with a handful of equipment.
Barricades were made, traps were set, and banners were raised. Banners
consisting of a dark red Coda flower on a black background, treacles of red
liquid ran down the Coda and surrounded it in a pool. Vampire's roars and
hisses could be heard amongst the buildings, busy with unknown tasks.
This was truley their town now...

The woman looked all over the castle for Solin, starting in the library, of
course. That was where he could usually be found.
Swims-in-Clouds got the grand tour of the place, but still this mer, Solin, was
no where to be seen.
The maid was not one to give up easily, and also, it was a lovely day outside

Finally, the two found Solin and Doll sitting by the seashore.
"Right," said the maid, "there he is. You go introduce yourself,

And with that she left the Argonian standing in the warm grass.

Ald Raathim, Jazbet's Estate
The Breton mage Nalion sat on his chair in his chamber, pieces of parchment
before him. He was oblivious of the events around Jazbet's body and Dagoth
returning to the living. An old tome lay at one side of the table, a tome he
came to know very well the past days.
He had just now found time to reflect. After what had happened the days before
- and most importantly - at Hogithum, would have a serious effect on him, he
knew that. His eyes were open now, he had seen what few people before him had
seen, felt what few people before him had felt. He had a different view on
Mundus now.
They had broken the Dragon, took the place of the Aedra for a brief time and
resided in what Vivec called the "Provisional House". They stood at
the center of the wheel, outside of time and could watch the wheel turn. They
had been able to control a device which threatened to extinguish all of Nirn
and by this had defeated the Azurites.
He needed time, time to realize what this event meant to him, to his future. He
wasn't the simple Breton traveler anymore. He'd seen and felt - and done - too
much to continue this role.
Who was he, then?
At Hogithum, Nalion had taken the part of Julianos, in the Cyrodillic Pantheon
the god of wisdom and knowledge. He wasn't what is usually called a faithful
believer in any particular deity. He acknowledged the Aedra as the fundament of
Nirn, whose gift was creation itself. During his travels, he had visited
temples, given donations for the one or other service and he had freely used
Divine Intervention, but he did not offer worship or prayers there. The two
years he spent with Lirielle in the cyrodiilic heartland and the local habit to
keep worship a very personal matter has only encouraged him in keeping this
attitude. The Demons, the Daedra, though necessary forces of change, he found
never suited for worship and the occurences around Loranna had proven his point
of view.
Still, he felt that there was a tie to Julianos somehow, if not to the deity
itself then at least to the pursuit of knowledge and wisdom. He had always been
curious, spent hours upon hours in dusty libraries, wanted to understand how
Mundus worked. And he had done a great step forward in this knowledge the past
days. But he also knew that it was not his accomplishment alone, others had
part in this, set him on his path. For that, he was grateful.
He looked at the tome and traced the script at its back. It was a book about
Alessian religious practices. The Marukathi Selective, a rather radical sect
within the Alessian Order, had been very dissatisfied of the elven elements of
Auriel that resided in Akatosh and decided to separate the elven part from the
deity. This attempt came to be known as "The Dragon Break".
Allerleirauh had slipped this book into his hands a few days before Hogithum and
with the information provided by Arynel, he was able to find out what to do at
Hogithum - and what not to. He would need to return the book soon - after he
had made a copy of the most important passages for himself. He knew that simply
possessing the information of this book might be dangerous. In Skyrim, the
Alessian Order had been wiped out with fire and sword, not to speak of the War
of Righteousness that raged over Tamriel and the Battle of Glenumbria Moors
where the Alessian Order was ultimately defeated and which set the stage for
the Bretons' own fight to liberate themselves from elven rule.
But no one said knowledge wasn't dangerous.
Nalion smiled. He would join his friends soon, to talk and share feelings and
experiences. And to have a glance at the future that lay before them...

*A few hours had passed since the final completion of the manor,

were likley in Ald Raathim still while he was busy finishing his manor*
"Does anyone have any suggestions on how to reach Ald Raathim in a

less than thirty minutes, you can be in an area near Ald-Raathim...from there,
it is only about an hour or two to the town."
"I'd rather not take the Guild again..." Erenius says, rememberring
last time he was magically transported, landing in the center of Ald-Raathim's
town square.
"It is the fastest way..." he replies calmly.
"Very well then...so I shall return to the city via the Guild now,"
Erenius replies.
*Within an hour, everything is packed, and Erenius has reached the Guild,
making preperations*

Jazbet's Old Room
Loranna and Dagoth had indulged their passion for one another for an hour or so
before Dagoth's stomach reminded them that his new body had gone for a month
without any food. With a sheepish grin, Loranna had bade Dagoth to wait while
she ran and got him food to eat; it seemed easier to simply serve him dinner in
his room than to try and walk him down to the kitchen or the tavern.
Dagoth was voracious; his new body's hunger aside, this was his first meal in
thousands of years. Loranna ended up making a second trip to get food for the
two of them, and watched in quiet, joyous fascination as he ate.
Finally, he was full, for now; Loranna sets the trays and plates aside and
grins.
" ... So, ..." Loranna says, feeling slightly awkward; a thousand
things leap to mind to talk about but she can't decide which to say first.
" ... I'm still amazed; how about you?" she asks, blushing a bit.

Dagoth smiled, he was eager to talk about stuff now.
'Well... it's still a bit of a shock for me that it worked. But I'm glad it did
now.'

"Me too," Loranna says, taking a deep breath.
" ... So, what do we do now?" she asks.

He thought for a second.
'Well... I wonder where we stand now on what we said in Stormhold. This changes
alot of things...'
Loranna's expression becomes more serious.
"Yes; this changes a lot," she concurs. She bows her head in thought.
" ... I didn't want to hurt you, or Jazbet," she says quietly.
"I love you both. But at the time ..."
She stops, and shakes her head; she was going down the wrong track with this
line of thought.
"... No; I think maybe even with things being different now, we needed to
have that talk," she says finally, trying to order her thoughts.
"Things don't just happen without a reason; what we said and did needed to
be said and done."

Dagoth was confused as to her meaning when she said that.

Dagoth was confused as to her meaning when she said that.
'What exactly do you mean? Because it is just alittle hard to get it...'
"Well, think of it this way," Loranna says. "If we hadn't
confronted your darkside back in Stormhold, and weakened its hold on you, would
you have been able to give up your power out of love like you just did?"
" ... And if I hadn't done what I did to help you," she says, looking
a bit surprised at her own thoughts now, "would I have been able to see
past the seeming wrongness of you taking Jazbet's body as quickly as I
did?"
Posted by: Dagoth Lich Mar 25 2005, 02:15 AM
He turned his head to face the ceiling, and took a deep breath.
'No, I guess I wouldn't have been able to... power was to much a temptation then...
now I am glad I'm free of it. And you... you would probably be angry with me
still about this if we hadn't had that talk. So I guess it was meant to
happen...'

"So it would seem," Loranna says with a smile.
"I think the biggest question for us now is not so much where do we stand
on things in the past, but rather where do we go now for the future," she
continues.
"So ... any thoughts on what you'd like to do with your new life?"
she asks. "Besides the very obvious, of course."
She grins.

"So, where'd ya find it?" Reichi asked looking at the
ring, he was in the Ald Raathim Tavern, and was sitting with Raddin. The Old
hunter no longer wore his armor, instead opting for a a expensive looking robe,
Reichi on the other hand, wore his Morag tong robe. Raddin grinned.
"Found it on a Werewolf, didn't know what it did till i tried it on,"
Raddin replied. "Of course, theres no telling if the user was a actual
Werewolf, or used the ring to mess around as one, what i do know, however, is
the ring induces none of the Bloodlust that a normal Werewolf has, and lasts
7-ish hours, as you probablly know by now. Unlike your ring, it has a set
peroid of use, yours you can slip in and out of your Wolf skin so long as its
night out. This lasts seven hours, but your one can turn you back to normal
with that one on, just once you remove your ring, you'll continue servng out
the seven hours."
Reichi tried to remeber all of that, it wasa bit confusing, as the rings had
the same names. "Uh, idea, lets NAME the rings, easier to understand that
way," Reichi said.
"Good point, the one that Transforms anyone can be...Uh....im drawing a
blank here..."
"Oi.."
"How about, ring of tranformy-ness..."
"No."
"How about...."

"Yes, I know," Loranna says, her tone becoming a little worried.
"Adventuring is ... alluring," Loranna admits. "But one thing I
have just thought of dear; you said back in Skyrim how you felt your undead
existance was hurting the world. This new life looks like a great chance for
you to now help instead of hurt."
"... But before tackling the big questions, there's some smaller ones too.
Will you maintain your tower or will you move out of it, for one," Loranna
points out.

Deep underground below Cyrodiil Province, Marein Nightscar
hunched over his work intensely.
Suddenly he heard a rumbling sound. Turning frantically, he looked for the
source of the noise. Too late. As he ran towards the exit of the cave, the
light at the end of the tunnel dimmed, faded, and finally disappeared.
"Oh no..."

Ald Raathim, Allerleirauh's bedroom:
Allerleirauh held Sen-Yedda to her chest, singing and rocking her. With the
other hand she was writing in her journal to B. It was amazing how quickly she
had adjusted to tending a baby with one hand and doing something else with the
other. Though it had been years since she held a child.
...Loranna is not the sort of person who suffers very long. I suppose that's
fortunate, given the things that have happened to her. But it makes me feel
very lonely sometimes.
Jazbet. I remember standing naked with him in cool water outside the walls of
Suran. Two strangers, naked, laughing. He said we would always be naked in
front of each other. I told him all about the Guild, who we were, what we did.
Nothing ever seemed to frighten him. And it was his words that brought us
together at Hogithum, with the weapon we needed to save ourselves.
About Hogithum - I apologize for not having written you sooner concerning the
fate of the universe. But you probably would have gotten yourself in trouble
trying to help. Does Loremaster Celarus still give you those sidelong looks?
She tapped her pen against the page and decided to write more later.
It was time for her daily report from Dragon.
"Dragon," she said, when he entered the room. "I have a task for
you. I need a wetnurse for Sen-Yedda. Someone we can trust, someone who will
become a permanent member of our household. I've been making do with magic, but
that's no good... and I can't tie myself to her every single moment, I might be
needed elsewhere. Master Solin and Master Arynel aren't babysitters
either."
Dragon smiled. Tris and Ciel had come into the room behind him. Tris still
looked bleary-eyed from the previous night's drinking.
"That's no longer my problem," Dragon said. "You'll have to ask
your new seneshal; I'm resigning."
"Oh no you're not!" Allerleirauh said, standing up. The baby wrinkled
her nose and waved her fists in displeasure. Allerleirauh lowered her voice.
"Dragon, damn it, I need you. You know this. You can't just walk out on
me."
"I'm not going anywhere," Dragon said. "I'm just no longer your seneshal.
Get used to the idea. Since you're in the market for a new one, I have a
suggestion."
"What?" Allerleirauh demanded. Then she looked past him at Ciel, and
understanding dawned. "I... Ciel, we haven't really spoken since Skyrim.
Are you well?"

The people of Ald Raathim crowded around them, eager to get a glimpse of

"He's dead," Allerleirauh said gently, and they passed on, leaving

Tris rested his hand on Ciel's shoulder for a moment. He could see Ciel's
agitation. But what Tris, himself, mostly felt was relief. This wasn't Wayrest,
with a crazy queen who would kill him. This was Daggerfall.
With its own royalty, no doubt just as crazy. But a royalty unfriendly to Queen
Elysana, a royalty who didn't even know Tris and Ciel's names.
Passers-by called out to Tris, and he bowed. People here knew him. It was good
to be home.
"Sprain something running?" a young blonde woman whose name he didn't
quite remember asked, dropping a curtsey in their direction. Tris grinned, and
started to answer, but the girl was already ignoring him, speaking to
Allerleirauh.
"A new baby? That's where you've been. Oooh, she's beautiful! Was
the father Dunmer?"
"Her father was Lord Vivec of Morrowind," Allerleirauh said, neatly
ducking the question of who her mother was. Fortunately the young lady was not
well versed in Dunmer culture, and had no idea Vivec was a name she should
recognize. The girl walked with them, chattering, and effectively preventing
further conversation. Allerleirauh smiled at Ciel and rolled her eyes.
The girl said goodbye to them at the door to the Guildhouse.
The massive doors swung open at a touch. Solunastra's sun, moon, and star
banners hung from the ceiling in the Great Hall. Three throne-like seats stood
at the head of the table, one for each of the house's three current Masters.
Behind them, soft light from above filtered through colored glass, illuminating
a small live tree, symbol of the hollow tree within which Allerleirauh had
first glimpsed the Void.

student," Doll said, flashing Solin a smile. "But I was born with an
unquenchable thirst for knowledge of magic."

QUOTE(Allerleirauh @ Mar 25 2005, 03:08 AM)
Tris rested his hand on Ciel's shoulder for a moment. He could
see Ciel's agitation. But what Tris, himself, mostly felt was relief. This
wasn't Wayrest, with a crazy queen who would kill him. This was Daggerfall.
With its own royalty, no doubt just as crazy. But a royalty unfriendly to Queen
Elysana, a royalty who didn't even know Tris and Ciel's names.
Passers-by called out to Tris, and he bowed. People here knew him. It was good
to be home.
"Sprain something running?" a young blonde woman whose name he
didn't quite remember asked, dropping a curtsey in their direction. Tris
grinned, and started to answer, but the girl was already ignoring him, speaking
to Allerleirauh.
"A new baby? That's where you've been. Oooh, she's beautiful!
Was the father Dunmer?"
"Her father was Lord Vivec of Morrowind," Allerleirauh said,
neatly ducking the question of who her mother was. Fortunately the young lady
was not well versed in Dunmer culture, and had no idea Vivec was a name she
should recognize. The girl walked with them, chattering, and effectively
preventing further conversation. Allerleirauh smiled at Ciel and rolled her
eyes.

"Welcome to Solunastra, Sir Ciel Dolbinen," Allerleirauh said.
Ciel's eyes widened. Guildhall, he hadn't been quite certain what to expect
given the people who belonged to this particular guild but, this surpassed even
his remotest imaginings.
"Impressive," was the first word he could muster. He said in awed
voice and turned to Tris. "This is home?"

I've mastered nothing. Which reminds me, during the search for Solin I was

Aricyn walked leisurely along the beach, biting large chunks out of a peach.
Most he spat back out. Although they had started getting regular supplies in
Ald Raathim again, peaches simply weren't in season.
He was happy, like most, to be out of his armor for a change, and the day was
so wonderfully warm... His snowy hair and soft linen shirt blew freely in the
breeze that came from the shore.
Beside him the grizzled old wolf walked, running off at intervals to chase a
particularly offensive bird or rodent.
He noticed the trio on the beach and steered toward them.
"'Morning all," he said, spitting another bit of peach in the sand.

"This is Solunastra," Tris said. "Home is... I guess the music
room, with the big fireplace. And my room upstairs. And the kitchen, if Igba
doesn't hit you with something and chase you out of it."
"We have an Orc cook," Allerleirauh explained.
"Only a part of the house is in use right now," Allerleirauh said.
"It was allowed to fall into disrepair during the years I was in an
Imperial prison. There are public rooms on the other side of the house, with a
chapel; they were used as a charitable school for children and an orphanage,
once upon a time, and I plan to use them so again. You'll have to go over the
finances with me. Dragon is always very pessimistic about the state of our
funds; but we have ways of getting money."
She led Ciel through to the music room. "My office is upstairs. The
antechamber to my bedroom. That's where I do most of my work."
She was interrupted by a flurry of little feet.
"Sera Allerleirauh! You're back!"
Tamne, the Azurite child, launched herself through the air and embraced
Allerleirauh around the waist. Tris's eyes went wide. No one was more startled
than Allerleirauh herself. But the little dark hand held no hidden dagger to plunge
into Allerleirauh's flesh. The child was laughing.
"Is that a baby?"
"This is Sen-Yedda," Allerleirauh said. She had wondered what would
happen at this moment. In her experience little girls had two typical reactions
to babies: they either found them revolting, or treated them as dolls to play
with.
Tamne did neither. She stood with her hands behind her back, fascinated, but
afraid to touch.
"That's the goddess?" Tamne asked.
"Come on," Tris said to Ciel. "I can tell they'll be a while.
Let me show you the place."
When they were out of earshot, in the richly panelled music room with its
fireplace and organ and harp, Tris said, "Well?"

Balmora-
The sun had risen, and the vampires had fled inside the buildings, confident
that the traps they set would keep any adventurers at bay. A small group of the
more important vampires were all huddled within the Hlaalu council manor. Some
vampire had scrawled a small ‘b’ in front of the word Hlaalu. How clever.
Bhlaalu council manor-
“Ok, first order of business. Food…what are we going to do about food?” Asked
Volrina, seated at the center of a large semi-circle of chairs.
“Food is a matter easily solved!” Scoffed a broad, menacing Altmer. “There is
bound to be the odd bandit hiding around out here, we just need to find them
all. And bring them home.”
“Well…that matter was certainly resolved quickly. Now…what about the river?”
Volrina asked, looking amongst the group.
“What about the river?” Asked Illidan, stepping forward from the back of the
room. He had returned the night before, just as they had finished raising the
banners.
“Well…it’s sought of a symbol, aint it?” She began, “I mean, what makes this
city seem more like a vampire town than a blood red river…and it’s beginning to
wash away.”
“Well, we’ll just have to stop it from doing that, won’t we?” Said the same
Altmer from before, grinning deviously. “I say we make a dam.”
“A dam, with what? We have no left over materials.” Janis stated, leaning back
in his chair.
“The river is filled with them at the moment, not to mention all the stray ones
around the city.”
There was an odd moment’s silence, before the room burst into laughter.
“Excellent…”

Dragon ignored her and sat down at the kitchen table with a bottle of wine and

"I'm staying," Tris said, and after a moment Dragon relented,

The finances weren't bad, really. The Guildhouse operated solidly in the black.
But the amounts of money that passed through it were staggering. A team of
highly skilled adventurers who used Void Ranger tricks to raid dungeons for
ebony and enchanted weapons could take in as much as a small nation.
"That's it, I believe," Dragon said, after several hours of work.

"Because I've already cooked dinner for him."

Balmora, Morag Tong Guild Hall
Some of the Vampires had chosen the Morag Tong Guild Hall, having taking a
liking to the lighting and design of the place. One, a Khajiit, had taken
Reichi's old room, and was passing time by seeing what loot was hidden in the
room. When he found the book Reichi had hidden, he was very curious. The book
afterall, was titled "The Book of the Moons", and Khajiit were very
much involved with the Moons, some even worshiped them. He liked the moons, it
was pretty, and didn't burn him like that mean old nasty sun.
He flipped through the weathered and ancient pages of the old tome. Ocaisonally
stopping to stare at a pretty picture of the moons, raisaing a eyebrow at some
of the text, it talked of Werewolves, describing the condition fully, of how to
controll it, what kind of ritual would have to preformed to do so, and other
things related to Werewolves.
"Baah, stupid book on stupid mutts.." the Khajiit said, before he
heard the sound of something whistling through the air. He collasped in a heap
as something struck the back of his head, dropping the book and rolling over.
The last thing he saw before he slipped into unconsciousness was a heavily
scarred Breton lad, wearing clothing made of animal hides and fur, appearing
out of thin air, and holding a chair.
"Man, i love being born under the sign of the shadow.." Tohe said,
tossing the chair to the side, his sign was how he had gotten here undetected.
He had transported here from the Ald Raathim Mages guild, and headed here,
under the cloak of day and his invisibility granted by being born under the
sign of the Shadow. He grabbed Reichi's book, and pulled the Recall amulet from
his pocket, the book was all he was here for. The Vampires from the other parts
of the Guildhall had hear the commotion and were aproaching.
The first vampire through the door saw the Breton disappear in a flash of
light. He blinked, and looked at the Khajiit Vampire on the ground, "Damn
Khajiit, his hallucinations are spreading to me now..."

(A ship in the Inner Sea, heading toward Freetown:)
Aricyn stood on the bow of the ship. The old wolf at his side watching the fish
as they lept in the waves before the prow.
So the lich had taken Jazbet's empty body. That was either a wonder or a
horror, and Aricyn wasn't up to deciding which, just yet. If he would have
learned of it himself, he would've gone to ask Allerleirauh her opinion on the
matter, not trusting to his own moral compass, but it was Allerleirauh who had
told him. She seemed to think it was an acceptable solution. Well, she might,
and Aricyn might, but both Nords doubted that the peasants would quite that
open-minded. How to present this to them was a problem that needed solving.
Aricyn knew someone very good at solving this kind of problem, and so he was
headed to Freetown.
If Cyndarius couldn't convince the common man that this was all for the best,
then no one could.

But interesting, in a different way, to see Dagoth finally able to form facial
expressions of his own.
"Are you adjusting well?" she asked him. "This is going to be

"We're going to hold a memorial service for those who fell at Red
Mountain. It's time. Ritual is important to Dunmer, and all the bodies either
disappeared or were buried under lava. I think that would be a good time to
break the news to everyone, all at once. Do you have any idea of what we could
say?"

Loranna considers. "I suppose it's probably for the best to just say the
truth," she ventures. "That we did what we could to save Jazbet's
soul from Azura, but that in the end he chose to go on - and Dagoth, who has
been fighting by our side since Skyrim and who helped save lives both at Vivec
and Red Mountain through his actions, gave up his immortality and power to
comfort me, using the body Jazbet left willingly behind."
She pauses and goes over what she just said. " ... Though there's probably
a better way to put that ..."

"Now is the time to think of the best way possible to put it,"
Allerleirauh said. "Dagoth? What do you think? By the way... I think now
is a good time to lose that name. You are not going to make yourself popular by
emphasizing your connections to the 6th house."

He forgot about telling them that. Well here goes nothing.
He sighed and said, 'Well, I guess I should tell you my original name. My name
once was, and now is once again, Slyvos Araberith.'
He hadn't gone by that in a LONG time...

which is the division of your house? What should I call you?"

Arynel sat in a wooden chair with a blanket laid over for
padding. Sen-Yedda lay nestled in the Breton’s arms as he rocked her gently,
though his eyes were focused on where light trickled in through the window, and
to the world beyond.
He gazed down at the small bundle in his arms, and then he scanned the area the
room, saying: “Strings become ropes as swords become shackles; the youthful
road is too quickly passing.”
He looked again out the window.

He tried to remember which was which for a moment, then it clicked again.
'My given name was Slyvos, my house name was Araberith. So I just put them in
that order for the sake of making it easy to remember which is which. So just
call me Slyvos, it's easier.'

Loranna smiles a bit, saying "Slyvos," a couple of times to get used
to the sound of it. "It's a nice name ..."
" ... But as for how best to present this ... well, definitely emphesize
everything Da ... Slyvos has done to help us. He fought the Azurites when Azura
first created them, he helped us retrieve Flamekiss so that we could ultimately
stop Azura, he put all his powers to use to help the army at Red Montain, even
taking out that powerful Daedra which would surely have wrecked havoc and
killed even more people."
"And, also, emphesize that Jazbet chose to move on ..." Loranna
starts to say, but then she stops, looking down for a moment.

The ackward, and sudden, stop got Slyvos a bit worried..
'Something wrong, Loranna? You just kinda... stopped....'

"Araberith sounds very old," Allerleirauh said. "From the days
before the Velothi were Chimer. I am pleased to meet you, Slyvos. And I think
you should use that name when you introduce yourself to people here. There's no
need for them to have to overcome two prejudices at once."
She had left Sen-Yedda with Arynel; already she was feeling anxious about her.
She forced herself to focus on the matter at hand.
Allerleirauh nodded her agreement with Loranna's words.
"Aricyn is handling the arrangements," Allerleirauh said. "With
the help of the Dunmer. And we should have some reinforcements arriving soon.
Wait until everyone from the town is gathered for the service before coming. We
don't want anyone from the castle or the village seeing Slyvos on the
way."
She smiled.
"We're going to play this by ear. But that's worked for us so far. Jazbet
was a great believer in happiness. We'll see if we can pull that off."

Loranna looks up, blinking away moistness in her eyes, and gives Slyvos a small

" ... No, I'm okay," she says. " ... Just, well, I know he's
gone, but the feeling of him being gone still sneaks up on me now and then, you
know?"
She takes a deep breath. " ... He wouldn't want me to dwell on his being
gone; he wouldn't want me to wallow in sorrow. I'll be okay."

Slyvos felt around the air a bit til he was able to put his hand
on Loranna's shoulder reassuringly.
'That's good to here. But as I've always said, I'm here for you when you need

Loranna reaches her hand up to pull Dagoth closer to her, her smile growing

"I know, and that's one of the most lovely things anyone's ever done for

Looking to Allie, Loranna says "Thank you for getting everything set up,
Allie; you're incredible."

Swims-in-Clouds swam leisurely along the coast, digesting the
rather large meal he'd just eaten. Everything felt good when he was in the
water; his mind worked better and his limbs, occasionally ungainly on land,
came alive beneath the gentle waves. He noticed something in the distance, the
hulking form of a sunken ship. Curious, he swam over to investigate. The first
thing he determined was that it was larger than most vessels that sailed the
inner sea. The design seemed more Dunmer than Imperial, but mixed elements of
both. As he drew closer it became clear that this was no ancient wreck. No
plants grew through it yet and only a few had begun to encroach on the hull,
which had been torn apart by some sort of powerful blast. The crew and passengers
lay strewn about the deck in varying states of decay, which the omni-present
slaughterfish and mudcrabs were ably accelerating. This must have been one of
the vessels carrying Azurite troops to the the assualt on Ald-Raathim.
As he entered the breech in the hull, he suddenly noticed the tell-tale shimmer
of enchantment on one of the bodies on the deck. Swimming over, he found that
there were actually two enchanted items, still equipped on the hapless azurite
warrior. The first, which had initially caught his attention, was a shirt of
woven hair. The other was an ebony spear. This one looked very interesting. As
he reached out and grabbed it a large slaughterfish darted towards him.
Sluggish from his recent feeding, his evasive manuever failed. Somehow the bite
left only a small scratch. Twisting, he stabbed the spear down at the
pugnacious creature. To his suprise, he pierced the fish clean through. That
was not a manuever he'd been taught. He calmed his mind and emptied it of
concious thought, thinking now with the effortless instinct of a beast of the
swamp. For several seconds, he simply felt, oblivious to all but the basic
information his senses provided. Then he smiled. The spear had done this. Its
enchantment had some kind of shield effect and increased the skill of it's
wielder at using a spear. He had read of such an artifact. It was a Blessed
Spear.
Very interested now, he stripped off the shirt of hair and donned it, and
cautiously activated the enchantment. To his alarm, he felt a small burst of
destructive magic wound him. He started to remove it, but then felt himself
healing. Within seconds his flesh was fully sound, unmarked by injury from the
initial effect of the enchantment or the minor bite he'd taken from the
slaughterfish. This shirt, he could not identify, but he liked it!
Swims-in-Clouds methodically began to search the rest of the boat, curious what
else it might contain.

A hill outside Ald Raathim:
The little
Daruhn.
Allerleirauh thought, from the little Khajiit she knew, that the word meant
"home of the thief." It was a term meant to insult Jazbet, the
Khajiit born a slave of House Dres who had risen to such a position of honor.
Daruhn had risen to a position of honor now too.
Many, many people stood gathered on the hill, waiting to see what the shape of
the new world would be. There was no more
Allerleirauh stood on the hill, surrounded by every ecclesiastic of every race
she could muster. In her arms she held Sen-Yedda. Around her were grouped the
heros who had come together to save the world from Azura's wrath.
Allerleirauh thought about Vivec, about his desire that his people should
return to their ancient ancestor worship, with the Tribunal as first among the
ancestors, saints and guides. This was the day that would begin.
