The Elder Scrolls Forums _ Elder Scrolls Lore _ RP: Morrowind Moonlight

Hello, and welcome to our Elder Scrolls Role
Playing threads, where we adventure and socialize in the vibrant land of Tamriel.
Before we begin, we'd like to clarify a few things:
This is an 'open roleplay' and everyone is encouraged to join in at any time!
'Open' roleplay does not mean 'unorganized' or 'limitless', however. The events
in this story are usually planned, and if something BIG happens, you can be
certain that it is the result of much discussion between players, usually in
the mIRC chat (#Loranna_RP). This is not just a bunch of disorganized
individuals doing what they think would be fun for their character at the time.
So, while everyone is welcome to join in, they are NOT welcome to jump in and
do big, world-changing things without DISCUSSING IT FIRST. Let me be very clear
about what cannot be done without permission:
1:
Any action that effects another person's character, for ill or good. Although
most people realize they can't harm another person's character without
permission, many don't realize that you can't HELP another character without
permission, either. Many characters have flaws for a reason. Don't go healing,
saving, or otherwise fixing another character without DISCUSSING IT FIRST with the
player involved.
2:
Any event that would drastically change things that have been done to the
world, whether the change is physical (rebuilding destroyed locations),
political (converting a population to a new cause), military (killing off all
the badguys) or anything else. Almost every situation, good or bad, that exists
in the RP was done for some reason. Don't go changing or fixing things without
DISCUSSING IT FIRST with the group.
Everyone who is involved in the RP is welcome in the mIRC chat channel
#Loranna_RP. If you have a plot idea then you are encouraged to go there and
discuss it. If you cannot get on the channel for some reason, or if the player
whos character you would affect with your plan is not there, then PM them using
this board's PM function. That's what it's there for.
For information on reaching #Loranna_RP via Mirc or Chatspike, look
http://www.ravensky.org/irc/.
Not following the above advice will only result in one thing: your post is
likely to be completely ignored by everyone as if it did not happen. This is
obvously not good for anyone, so please, discuss major events before doing
them.
Remember: Secret plans and surprises are seldom fun for anyone else. Before
they're revealed they're boring, because nobody knows about them, and
afterwards they're just annoying, because nobody knew about them.
Thank you, and have fun!

Summary:
Loranna, and her companions, have recently experienced a shift in reality,
finding themselves in a world where Azura emerged victorious in the Blue Dawn.
The heroes who used the Eiodolon to defeat her never made it, and now Azurites
were fighting against Captain Cyndarius's men for Ald Raathim. Dres Jazbet,
with his Lady Kethiah, control the castle, Jazbet's precognition making him a
deadly foe, and the heroes were forced to flee to town, which Cyndarius's men
controlled.
The Eight - Loranna, Herwyn Brand, Shaka, Anya, Isidor, Reichi, Goranthir, and
Slyvos - have engaged their foe, and are currently at something of a standoff -
which they are attempting to break.
Meanwhile, Cyndarius, the 103rd Legion, and those who did not go with the Eight
battle in the Imperial City - with the world alternating between what it ought
to be and the Azurite reality ...
Oh ... it's also snowing out. Cats and dogs.

Goranthir is a 16-year-old ranger again,
though he has held something of his Kingly persona he picked up in the Spheres.
He is taunting the Source of All Sorrow, telling them to go back in their
castle so he and his friends can start pulling it down again.
Posted by: Allerleirauh Aug 29 2005, 02:32 AM
The Eight are on the plains of conflict,
finally facing an opposing team of eight... a warband known as the Source of
All Sorrow. They have managed to weaken the Source's fortress, drawing them
outside, but not outside of the zone of protective magics cast by it.
The Source are an Altmer Saint, a Chimer necromancer, a Redguard Satakal, a
Breton Monk, a Mabrigash, two Bosmer archers, a Senche-Raht battlecat, and a
female Khajiit.
At the moment they are trying to use disintegration magic on the trees that are
sapping strength from their fortification.

Summary: Shaka, an Argonian battlemage
currently in the form of a Redguard, is attempting to help taunt the faction
known as the Source into approaching the Eight.
Shaka glanced over at Anya and squeezed her hand for a moment to show that he
hadn't lost his mind by badgering Herwyn. The Eight were still sheltered for
the moment by the invulnerable scale-shields.

QUOTE(Dagoth Lich @ Aug 28 2005, 08:19 PM)
Slyvos laughed, not too darkly but enough that he knew it would
confuse the necromancer.
'I never died... I became a lich, and well, long story but now here I am,
mortal again 4000 years afterwards.'
"Hey Slyvos," Goranthir whispered, chuckling a little despite
himself. "See if you can make him mad to draw him towards us. We have to
get him out in the open away from the sphere."
Posted by: Allerleirauh Aug 29 2005, 02:37 AM
The Altmer saint finally, at long last, took
down the largest of the Dispell trees.
The zone of protective magic around the castle of Sorrow was
noticeably shrinking, however, as spirits were consumed.
"Are you trying to lure us out?" the Altmer said. "There's no
point, this whole sphere belongs to us. We own it, it's ours. That's why we can
use it as a magic item and bind spirits to it. We are the new gods here, and we
can defeat you on whatever ground you chose. Just look at you crouching behind
your ragged little shields!"

Really! We're sorry! Your ability to defeat inanimate objects is without
question!"
He laughed long and loud.

Herwyn pulled the little branch from his belt and stabbed it into the ground.
In a few moments, it had grown to be taller than the scale shields.
Taking off his left gauntlet, the one enchanted with reflect, he drove it, too,
into the black soil and watched it grow into a very odd tree.
"Sorry," he shouted, "was busy doing a bit of gardening. What
did you say?"

Summary for Nalion:
Tamriel, Cyrodiil City, near the Imperial Palace
Nalion, a male Breton mage, is currently fighting at the side of Cyndarius'
103rd Legion. There was another shift in reality, and now, both the reality he
knew and the strange Azurite-dominated reality mix. It's sickening.
Nalion is hoping that they would be on time to save the Emperor.

Falco Redflash, male argonian rogue is
currently battling Azurites in Tamriel.
IC: "26...27. Damn I missed! 28...29...30" Falco looked down to see
he had no more arrows left in his quiver. He drew his saber and the dagger of
silence. Falco charged into the fray, obviously mad. Falco decapitated one
azurite. Then began battling two wielding broadswords. The broadswords were
heavier and stronger but his saber was lighter and faster. He had no difficulty
killing them both.

She winks at the Magribash. "One time only offer, hun; come and get the

can let the BOYS tell you what to do ..."

They could hear conversation.
"...have to go after them, and get rid of all those trees so no one else
gets the same idea..."
"Very clever," the Altmer said. "And yet not clever enough to
save you. I saw your pitiful excuse for an assault before. This isn't the realm
of the nine divines; this is the realm of strength, our strength, and the
answer to the question that has been asked all these centuries, what is the
meaning of life, is: there is no meaning, only mocking laughter at stupid
mortals like you."
The Nine members of the Source were coming. They had all become invisible;
those who clutched flowers could see them.
The fat Breton monk swept toward them overhead; they could see his fat pale
legs beneath his robes. He cast an area of effect spell on them as soon as he
was near enough to cast over the shields.
The Bosmers ran in two different directions, flanking them with their bows.
The battlecat simply charged, to knock over their shield wall and crush them
beneath it, if possible.

Summery, Dane Rubyn
Dane Rubyn is making his way into the capital after being wounded on the
battlefield. He has a broken arm, but his other wounds were mended. He thinks
the shift in realities are actually hallucinations.
************
Rubyn stumbled through the gates, both broken and intact, and made his way down
the streets to where he could see some men running about.
"You! You over there!" He shouted to one of the men.
"Yes, sir?" The man replied to him.
"What the hell is going on here? Why is everyth..." He stopped there,
realizing that the man didn't know what was going on, because he didn't see any
of the strangness. Just like before. "Just take me to somebody in charge,
dammit!"
"Yes sir, this way!" And the man started off, with Rubyn following
him.

The battlecat was considerably bigger than
Shaka; it ran him down without a second thought, and crashed into the shield
wall with its considerable weight. Since the cat was fortified by the
Ohmes-Raht on its back, it was even more powerful than usual.
The Welwa jumped lightly over the shield wall and bit at the battlecat's
throat.
Deothur had grabbed a scale; now he crouched behind it, shielding himself from
the attacks of one of the Bosmer archers.
Goranthir's Kynarine blast flipped the flying monk end over end, but not before
his area of effect poison spell engulfed them all.
The dispell effect struck the Altmer and the necromancer; however, the blind
spell was reflected. Probably by clothing or items. And Loranna and Herwyn, to
cast, had to have line of sight. Which meant that the two had line of sight to
them as well. The two trained wizards cast like one. Weakness to magicka...
followed, a heartbeat later, by damage health.
The Satakal and the Mabrigash were running to get around the shield wall. The
Satakal moved like a sidewinder snake, slithering along the ground.

"Be more careful," she said, "or neither one of us
will get that drink."
Gram's eyes narrow, and a thin-lipped smile comes to his face.
"Aye; we wouldn't want that," he says, turning and swinging Frostkiss
at another Azurite ghost, and twisting as the ghost's spear grazes his arm,
just where an earlier blow had damaged his armor.
Frostkiss called forth no more icy winds, and Trueturner barely fixed the
wounds Gram had taken by now. His main weapons were spent.
With practiced ease, Gram hooks Frostkiss to his belt, and with one hand draws
Falmetongue from his back, swinging it in a wide, one-handed arc as he puts
Trueturner in its place. The silver blade erupts into flame, and as Gram gets
his other hand on the hilt, he says "Now, see why they call me the Wild,
and why none have ever lived after that!"
The blade slashes, fending off attacks and sundering weapons, an offense which
is almost as protective as Gram's shield, but even more deadly.

Tamriel, Imperial City
QUOTE(Belwar @ Aug 29 2005, 03:01 AM)
Rubyn stumbled through the gates, both broken and intact, and
made his way down the streets to where he could see some men running about.
"You! You over there!" He shouted to one of the men.
"Yes, sir?" The man replied to him.
"What the hell is going on here? Why is everyth..." He stopped there,
realizing that the man didn't know what was going on, because he didn't see any
of the strangness. Just like before. "Just take me to somebody in charge,
dammit!"
"Yes sir, this way!" And the man started off, with Rubyn following
him.
Nalion cursed. A habit which he had picked up only recently, and the events
clearly deserved every foul word. He hoped that this situation would not last
too long anymore, or he would perhaps beat even Merey.
He didn't even like cursing. His mother, Relie, had taken great care to remove
curses from his vocabulary. Sometimes with soap. And soap didn't taste well.
Nalion was hard pressed and he was sweating despite the bone-freezing cold. The
days of battle were wearing on him. Additionally, the surreal environment of
destroyed but undamaged buildings, parks, towers and statues troubled him.
Ghosts, both of Azurites and legionaires alike, began to fight. Focusing became
harder. He was lucky he had a horse to carry him, leaving him the strength to
focus on his spells. As he had said to Cyndarius earlier, he was no trained warrior.
But he knew how to fight.
Nalion tried to see through the falling snow. There is was. accompanied by a
shriek, a Winged Twilight swept down, sharp claws poised to strike.
The mage lifted his arm and pointed at the Demon.
After a whispered word, a searing lightning bolt sprang forth from his fingers,
and as it made contact with the Twilight, discharged with destructive force. A
moment later, the Daedra fell to the ground.
Behind him, he saw a small group of soldiers catching up. Most legionaires
looked alike in their uniforms and helmets, but one, the mage could make out
clearly. Dane Rubyn. Turning his horse, Nalion rode towards him.

They were close to the Imperial Palace-what
was left of it-and they still had not encountered an azurite. Plaas sighed in
relief. They could see the remains of what used to be teh GRand Hall. It was
very large, Plaas imagined that it was have been one of the greatest sights in
all of Tamriel when it was first built. But on the walls, he could see blood
stains and there were bodies everywhere. The stench was nausiating.
"Should we go?" Plaas asked.
"Hmmmm, sure. You go first." One of the Bosmers said.
Plaas rolled his eyes and unsheathed his blade. HE crept across the large road,
which was seemingly deserted. He was within yards of the first step when he
heard a very large cry. Azurites were everywhere. As Plaas looked back to the
Elves, he saw them firing arrows at the oncoming Azurites. The first bluue-eyed
creature charging at Plaas was cut short by an arrow. Plaas smirked, but what
came otu from the corpse was a ghost, and with each dead Azurite and Twilight
came another. Plaas ran for the safety of the Bosmers. Hopefully they had some
enchanted weapons.

Falco, and ran up the hill.

Strange things! If you could fix my arm and head, I'd owe you a big one."
Teleran had split from Spooky and most of the rest of the scouts shortly after
entering the city, his own preference for jumping around between enemies in
battle not matching up particularly well with the range usually preferred by
archers.
He went down among the legionnaires going building to building and helped clear
out a few buildings. The Azurites he faced down hallways didn’t stand a chance
without room to dodge his daggers speeding for their vitals. The ones that
popped round corners at much closer range, he let the legion troops do what
they were best at. He ended up charged with watching the windows for twilights
looking to crash the party as the rest of the group he had attached himself to
cleared out the innards of the building.
He turned down a half-collapsed hallway to see an Azurite archer loosing an
arrow for him. Teleran deflected the arrow into the wall and sent dagger in
return. The hall flashed white and was in perfect order *flicker* the Azurite
was staring down at his own blood flowing over the floor from where the dagger
had struck him *flicker* there was no stain where the Azurite had fallen. Then
the hallway was back as it was, ruined and with a dead man at the end of it.
Teleran clutched at his temples and shook his head at that, these shifts in
reality were not something he could get used to.
Then a member of the legion ran up to him, there were Azurites on the other
side of the wall blocking the street and the legion needed a way around them.
Teleran laughed grimly and set his dagger against the wall. A moment later the
wall was blown outward and the soldiers were cutting into the Azurites behind
the barricade. Teleran had been careful to avoid blasting the supports this
time.
With the barricade dismantled he headed towards the palace. They ran into
another group of Azurites just around the corner and engaged them without
breaking formation. They were just finishing up to head forwards when the dead
stopped staying down. The darkly glowing Azurites started turning the battle on
the soldiers as they ripped into the flank of the formation. Soon the ghosts of
the legion were fighting against the Azurites too, the living members
overcoming the initial shock and dispatching the ghosts.
The group Teleran was with slowed dramatically as they were bogged down in
Azurites that just refused to stay dead. A flash of lightning discharging ahead
brought Teleran’s attention from the Azurite he was dispatching and he looked
up to see Nalion on his horse. He felt a burning along his side as the Azurite
took advantage of Teleran’s distraction to take an awkward stab at him. The
wound quickly healed as Teleran’s activated his ring’s enchantment, healing
himself before putting a dagger through the offending Azurite’s throat.
During a momentary lull in the fighting around him Teleran slipped the Golem’s
Crown on and sent a couple of Azurites flying with a backhanded blow. He turned
towards Nalion and started plowing through the Azurites, ignoring most of the
blows from the unenchanted weapons and flinging aside those that tried to get
in his way. He hailed Nalion, “Need some help with our friends here? They just
don’t seem to want to stay dead.”

Nalion nodded towards the three Azurites.
"Care to lend me a hand, Teleran?", he asked as he readied a spell.
A short gesture and a word sent an absorb health spell towards one of the
Azurites, then Nalion unslung his steel staff. He felt tired and his magicka
reserves were exhausted. He would need to find some potions soon.

"Enough of this," the Altmer saint
said. "You're listening to a bunch of losers, what do they know about it?
Every group that has gone before has conquered the plains and then thrown them
away, for what? I am the first saint ever to get this right, the first one to
realize the potential of this place, the first one to lead you to become the
gods of your own sphere. 'No one stands there yet' they say. Well, we stand
there. And we are undefeated."
He opened his hands and cast a wave of painful darkness at them; damage health
again.
The Khajiit atop the battlecat's back stabbed Goranthir with a small, silver,
enchanted dagger, coated with poison. The battlecat itself reared up, trying to
free itself from the tenacious grip of the Welwa. The two giant beasts charged
over Loranna, Deothur, and Herwyn Brand; thick red blood poured down on them
from the battlecat's throat.
High above, the monk dodged Herwyn's blast; but stopped to listen to the
conversation.
The Bosmer fighting Reichi placed his hands on Reichi's chest, and Reichi felt
him try to absorb his health.
The Satakal struck at Shaka's ankles; the Mabrigash leant him speed. Shaka

no bones. More poison.
The other Bosmer took aim at Herwyn Brand, to stop whatever spell he was

The Altmer saint had made one miscalculation already; he had referred to
himself in the singular, he had said, "I," not "we", and
thus alienated his own people.
Now he made another mistake; he cursed, and reached out with telekinesis to
grab the flower flying towards the flying monk.
He took the flower in his hand at the same moment the others made their
speeches. He listened to them as one who is unable to be decieved. And layers
of self-deception peeled away.
The one thing that all bullies have in common is cowardice... and very few
bullies have any tolerance for pain.
The Altmer saint put his hands to his face and sobbed, then turned and fled
towards the collapsing castle.
"What the hell?" the Bosmer archer taking aim at Herwyn said,
lowering his bow.
"Demoralization spell, dispell it!" the Mabrigash said, casting after
the fleeing Altmer.
"What was in that flower?" the necromancer said, looking at
Goranthir.
The flying monk came in for a landing, with a look of baffled fury.
The battlecat, finally, fell.

“What do you think we’ve been doing?” Teleran said, slipping his crown into a

Coming back to flesh with a crack in his side was painful as hell, but he could
do something about it now. The healing enchantment of the ring wasn’t enough to
fully heal the wound as he drained it of charge, but it did reduce the wound to
a minor scratch. It would recover on its own, probably wouldn’t even leave a
scar. He brought his spear down through a twilight which had followed him up
and set about perforating the nearest Azurites upon returning to earth.
He looked about himself, almost no living Azurites were left, they were

palace steps, Nalion and his loyal companions at his side.
Swinging down from the saddle, Cyndarius placed his right hand on the great
gate.
The palace gates swung open effortlessly...
In the Void, a little girl with pale skin and dark hair, her face and gown
spattered with blood, drank of the fountain that dripped from the palace into
nothingness.
This man was beautiful, she thought, watching him.

Deprived of his buffing and healing protection, the Bosmer fell
dead.
Isidor and Shaka made short work of the Khajiit.
From within the ruins of the castle came snapping and growling; then the
baying of the Welwa.
"That's it, that's all of them," Deothur said. "The gate,
their gate... our gate... I'm sure they built the castle around it."
The bound souls dissolved into air, returning to the antechamber of souls.
Where the Castle of Sorrow had been, there was a gate, a simple ring with no
blades, this time.
Loranna says " ... We did it ..."
She turns to Deothur. "This is where we part; thank you dear, for everything."
She reaches over to give Deothur a fond, but brief, embrace.
"Let's go to Allie," she says to her companions, smiling.

He too embraced Deothur, feeling every bit a child, and not at all a king.

Tamriel:
Broken, surrounded on all sides, and mostly dead already, the Azurites still
fought hard to breech the palace. They seemed intent on one thing; killing the
Emperor. Cyndarius knew what that would mean, and that knowledge had been
enough to drive him halfway across the continent, to save him.
The great golden doors of the palace stood battered and dented. The advancing
Legions quickly painted them red with Azurite blood.
With one last, thundering charge, Cyndarius's great warhorse ascended the
palace steps, Nalion and his loyal companions at his side.
Swinging down from the saddle, Cyndarius placed his right hand on the great

Nalion glided from Forsa's saddle besides Cyndarius.
"Let's do what we came here for.", he said and nodded, stepping into

"Words cannot give you the thanks you deserve, Deothur," he said,

In that place there were many waterways, flowing brooks and running streams,

The Void
She had been very unhappy when the heroes who were to activate the Eidolon and
set her free had all died. But she had not dwelt on the tragedy, for as much as
she desired freedom, her surface needs, her requirements for blood, kept it
away.
For the first time in her thousands of years of unlife, Bosriel, the Void
Vampire, was sated. She had drank deeply of the wounded in the battles
throughout Tamriel. Yes, there had been many wars before, and during the
conquests of Tiber Septim, she had come close, but somehow, finally, she had
found peace from her endless hunger.
The Void was no longer a trap she could not escape. It was home.

QUOTE(Sheogorath @ Aug 29 2005, 01:40 AM)
"He is a good man," Goranthir said very seriously, looking to Herwyn. "But good men can still be at odds. I hope and pray that if we are no longer companions, at least we won't be enemies. Barenziah is very persuasive and very cunning, but remember, in their power struggle years ago, when she was still very young, Elysana with no strong allies bested Barenziah, Helseth, and my mother. She is an ebony rock of determination."
"Tris made her weep once," Allerleirauh said, "With a necklace.
I am strong myself; I understand Elysana. And I understand that weak things
often confound the strong, when it seems such a thing should be impossible. How
else are heroes made?"
She touched him, once, gently, on the hand, as if to be sure of him.
"I also wish that we shall remain friends," she said. And let it rest
there.

Goranthir nodded. "Can you tell me, do you know what has happened since
we've been gone? I know it shouldn't matter because we're going to change it
all back, but when we left, they had just abandoned Ald Raathim, and there was
trouble in Cyrodiil ... Well, I know that if some people die, even now, they
will remain dead ... I guess I want to know, if you know if the others are

"Tris has been running messages for me," Allerleirauh said. "I
would not fear for your family; they have strong CHIM; they are bound to the
Wheel and needed. I hear Plaas, an Argonian, nearly died but was saved.
Cyndarius is well, and he goes to save the Emperor. Cyrodiil City fell some

not yet his time to die; if we let him die, all this will be lost, and we will

Goranthir felt tears of gratitude well up, and he let them come. He trusted
Allerleirauh would not see that as unbecoming of a hero. "Thank
Nirni," he said low, and was surprised that such words had come to him.
Somehow he had become devout, all of the sudden.

"We actually met a Welwa on the Plains - a saint whose team had fallen to

"Um, Allie, has Tris ... heard anything about my father?" Loranna

"All Welwa are female," Allerleirauh said. "Even those who are
male in their natural form. I wonder who yours was; most are some other sort of
creature, beneath the enchantment. I knew one once who was a great grey
destrier. His master fell trying to defeat a Welwa guardian of a bridge; the

She smiled, and flushed. She knew a great deal more about Welwa; but only so
much needed to be said at one time.

Allerleirauh stood, and plucked a heavy silver-skinned pear from the tree above

Isidor had stood quite through everything so

Isidor said to one in particular "Well, that was fun, but I really need a

had been with Kethiah, in the tavern. He thought of her again, and wondered if
there was something he could do for her, to repair whatever damage he had done.

Shaka was quiet in Solunastra. The bound
spear had disappeared, and the Spear of Bitter Mercy was still with Cyndarius'
forces. He felt ashamed that he had not been of more help in the battle with
the Source, but there was no point of speaking on it now.
He felt a little sad as he looked at the perfection of Solunastra and
Allerleirauh. Despite travelling through the Spheres, Shaka was a mortal at
heart. He knew when he was out of his depth.
Shaka wasn't comfortable with immortals such as Allerleirauh and, apparently,
Solin and Arynel. We must seem like insects to them, he thought; the kind who
live and die in a single day. The immortals probably didn't consciously think
in those terms, but it still seemed likely.

Anya came over and wrapped her arm around Shaka's, pulling close. She had only
met one other person that seemed to defy logic, and that was long ago. She
stared, mystified at Allereiruah. Mouth slightly open in curiousity, but a
little intimidated by the power she radiated. She didn't flaunt it, it seemed;

wouldn't be completely comfortable again until they were both in their former
bodies.
Do I want to be an Argonian again, he wondered. Somehow he still did, despite
the lifelong disadvantages that included the inability to wear either boots or
some types of armor.
On the other hand, he would once again have virtual immunity to poison, greater
agility, and so on.... Stupid to think on it, he chided himself. The Eight
deserved to rest for now.
It was strange. Another being would have been capering through the grounds of
Solunastra, to think that they had beaten the Source of All Sorrow and given
the Mundus a chance to be restored to its true history. And after all the
doubts I shared with the others, too, he thought wryly. But Shaka couldn't
bring himself to rejoice.

middle and watches as it falls to the ground...*
"What? You said we needed fire wood?"

right now...there's Azurite divisions everywhere...I say we head South and
avoid the frustration"
Ami: "But you just said The Imperials are fighting to the West"
Trefist: "Hence why we should go South"
"I say we continue West"
Trefist: "When the hell did you wake up?"
"Never mind that...say you smell of...of wolf"
Trefist: "Whats that supposed to mean Redguard!!"
"It means know your place or I'll cut you into Scrib food"
*...One calls forth his Shehai...*
Trefist: "Am I supposed to be frightened?"
Uniqua: "Well since you cant change...yeah you should be"
Trefist: "Point taken"
Ami: "So which way are we going?"
Sona: "I dont think the Imperial City's such a hot idea...especially if
theres a battle going on"
Hurst: "I agr'e with the lass...Cyrodiil could mean suicide"
"At least there we have a fighting chance...staying out here is just going
to delay the inevitable"
Uniqua: "He does have a point"
Ami: "Cyrodiil it is then"
"Cyrodiil it is"
*...with that the group makes its way through the mountains...*

Within the palace were wine and food, golden
plates and little silver knives and forks, sumptuous beds with satin hangings,
and all manner of earthly comforts. But there was no need for any of those
things. Outside the grass and flowers formed a bed of the perfect softness,
sweet scented, in which no biting insects lurked, and the temperature and the
soft wind tempted one to lay aside all but the most essential clothes. Outside
were figs that swayed with the wind, inviting the touch of a hand, and honey
made by the most gentle bees; down the hill in the orchard were olives lining
the shore of a brilliant ocean.
Solunastra had grown, grew a little every time someone new entered it.
Allerleirauh thought that perhaps the wilder part of the forest had grown when
Arynel came. The tree with fruit like starlight that cured Bosriel's darkness
had grown for all three of Solunastra's masters. There were places over a more
distant hill where strange machines waited for the touch of a master's hand,
that were Solin's, and soaring spires and stained glass which were Solin's too.
In time she would learn what new things had happened to this domain since the
coming of the Eight.
Right now, Allerleirauh was sewing, her favorite thing in the world to do,
combining as it did utility with beauty.

Plaas and the Bosmers fought hardly. They
fought in frontof the Palace. They were just outside the Palace's doors. Blod
from Azurites and Twilights had stained every inch of Plaas' blade. The Bosmers
were also fighting gallantly. He had killed more on this day than ever in his
life. When Cyndarius had come, it was a relief but there was still a very large
possibility that the Emperor would die. The Winged Twilights hovered over him,
their claws ready to pounce. One dove down, but Plaas quickly killed it, but
another came from behind him and cut his throat. BLood sprayed, and Plaas fell.
As he looked back onto the battlefield, he saw bodies, thousands of them. They

Loranna had set off to explore this
wonderous place, so full of color and movement and beauty; she helped herself
to figs to assuage her hunger and tasted the honey that Allie had been having
when she arrived and tiptoed through the orchid, looking for the olives that
were 'just right'. She wandered where her feet would take her, finding the
ocean for a swim, exploring the forests and remembering other times in other
forests when she slipped through unseen, and though she did not go among the
strange machines she did at least climb the hill to look down in child-like
wonder.
And then, her heart told her to head back, over the bridge, to find the place
she missed most of all, for though she loved everything she had seen there was
still one thing she longed for. And so she crossed the bridge and set foot on a
field as dazzlingly white as Allerleirauh's dress, where the air was crisp and
cold and yet welcoming and all around there was white on white, simple beauty
which if looked at closely revealed ever-increasing complexity, and wonder, and
trees with icicles hanging off the branches as though they were shimmering
fruits themselves.
And Loranna laughed, for she knew the snow was just perfect, and her heart was
joyful because she was where she missed most of all, and Happily Ever After had
it all along. And she played as she had as a young girl, and as a young woman,
in the snow, until she missed her friends and wished to pelt them with
snowballs and to watch them make snow angels, Slyvos especially. And so she
headed back, flecks of snow adorning her hair like little stars.

Slyvos wandered through Solunastra, and saw
something he thought he'd never see again. He saw the little piece of himself
he had put into it, his own little piece of the paradise. It was his first
home... a cozy little fire lit up in the hearth, a small room with nice chair
and a view out the small but still nice window. It was simple... like life
should have been. On the desk was a flute, his flute to be precise; he picked
it up and began to play. the music could be heard throughout this wonderous
place, like an echo...

Goranthir had woken up a couple times, and
then turned back over and gone back to sleep. It was sheer bliss that there was
no one who needed him now.
Then he looked to the brook, and realized that as long as it had been since he
slept, or ate, it was really long since he had a bath. Particularly if you
didn't count being dragged behind an Azurite warship through the Inner Sea ...
He slipped into the waters, just a few degrees cooler than the air, enough to
be truly refreshing without the slightest chill. The Prince floated on his back
and listened to Slyvos's music.

Shaka was starting to relax more and believe
that this place was a haven. He was wading along the sea, wearing pants; he had
left his armor back at the fountain.
He smiled to see that Loranna had returned with snow in her hair, but waved
back to the others and declined a snowball fight. After spending most of his 40
years as an Argonian, he still wasn't completely used to cold.

Reichi wandered throughout Solunastra, from
the marvelously decorated palace, where he stopped to eat and drink, to the
forests and the Ocean, where he stopped again for a brief swim. Reichi was
throughly impressed, this was 'Happily-Ever-After' indeed, he reflected as he
lay on the shore. Simply put, it was paradise. Shame they had to leave when the
whole mess down in the Mundus got fixed. He liked it here, anyone would
like it here. This place made the Source of All Sorrow look like even bigger
fools. Who needs to be a 'god' of a plain of Conflict when one can be here?
