In the previous installment of this thread, Loranna's party
finally started making its way toward Balmora, some people moving ahead of
others. However, other forces arrived first and the incarnation of Azura has both
friends and foes awaiting her in Balmora - as well as a feast fit for (and
meant for) a King
As always, mirc ChatSpike channel #Loranna_RP is our official chatroom for the
event. Everyone who plays is welcomed and encouraged to join the chat so that
we may discuss plot developments and swap jokes about our characters Those who
can't get into the chatroom are encouraged to PM me about any plot ideas or
scene-effecting actions they have in mind; I will try to answer you with all
possible speed.
Part Six begins ...

Loranna frowns, staying very still as well; she hears Arynel's and Maji's
voices and wonders what either can do to stop this strange black being ...

QUOTE(Solin @ Dec 15 2004, 08:23 PM)
Liris skided to a halt reaching the crowd, then having turned
about he yelled, “Guards!”
The guards formed a small wall between Liris as the newcomer. The lord
straightened his clothing and smoothed his hair. He yelled to the black
clad creature, “Now that I am at a safe distance, would you perchance tell me
why you are going to die today?”
"You displease your Queen, Liris Inwald, and there is no distance safe
from her wrath," the voice says.
Armored feet steadily stride forward, leaving deep prints in the dirt.
The cloaked figure stops at the line of guards, all brandishing their swords,
but less than certainly.
There is a pause, and the creature releases the dead guard he had been
dragging. Before the body hits the ground, Two of the guard before him are hit
by huge fists, and are dead. A moment later, their bodies land some yards away.
The hooded head turns slowly to Arynel's song.
"Today you are safe, child, but do not press your fortune."
Slowly, the hood returns its attention to Liris, and the boots continue
forward.

After a jovial round of drinks with the members of the guild it
was time to get down to business. "What is it that you would have me do
for you to ensure that Loranna and her group remain unplundered?" asked
Teleran
"You are blunt friend, we will not ask much, I assure you none will be
harmed, whether you do this for us or not. There be a feast for a King. Nobles
leave their manors vacant to attend feast, yes. Go to Tyravel manor, the lady
has necklace Habasi wants, a large ruby eye for the center, surrounded by
diamonds."
"I can do this for you, so the deal is set?" Teleran responded.
"Yes friend. It is agreed." said Habasi.
'This heist doesn't sound too bad, I wonder why they don't have one of their
own doing it. Well, at least, they will not bother Loranna. I was hoping for a
little more challenge though.'

should do. This one was no threat to Loranna as of yet, but Zaldaar didn't want
to see Liris dead. He stepp forward and confronted the large man. "Why is

Liris backed away from the black clad man further into the fast
dispersing mob. A few brave ones stood watching. The remaining guards are
shaken, unsure what to do next. Liris’s hand slid down to his belt and a
fraction of a second later a dagger is unsheathed and in his hand. He eyed his
guards gauging their bravery.

Azrael smiled at Eliin once more, and responded, "Yes,
Eliin, I must speak with you of something. There have been some peculiar events
in Gnisis, which you might like to know about. I must have your opinions on what
I, and another, think should be done."
The Dunmer led Eliin to an adjoining room, and sat down next to him, after
closing the door. "Eliin, now that we are alone, I will reveal the true
reason why I am here. It may not be cheery, as it involves what you may
consider to be undermining the guild. . ."
Azrael saw Eliin raise his eyebrow, and paused, before continuing at the nod of
the old Altmer's head.
"Very well, then."
He began to explain to Eliin the discovery of the incarnate of Azura in
Vvardenfell. As he went deeper and deeper into the plan that he, along with
Adriana of the Gnisis branch, had devised, concerning the incarnate's trials
and eventual goal, he saw the face of the Altmer tighten, into a near-rage-like
state.
"Eliin. . .?"

Zaldaar remarked coldly.

"oooh, It's hot down here" Exclaimed Dante, wearily
opening the door and placing one foot in, but finding no ground to rest it on
he falls and grabs onto the ledge of the door. "Oh great, well that explains
the heat near this place" He says watching the lava flow beneath him.
Dante lowers himself a bit and sees another door, directly below the original
he came from, he kicked it open and jumped inside.
A simple passage-way leading up to a crypt at the end was all that was here,
yet another Dremora was standing guard here, Dante quickly dispatched this one
and approached the stone coffin. Resting ontop of the coffin was a Daedric
dagger, it had a small drain health enchantment on it "Hm, I'll take this
as proof of my task" He said to himself, pocketing the dagger.
Later back at the guild Dante spoke with Eydis fire-eye "There, it's all
done, your tomb has been cleaned out for you" He says rather uninterested.
"Thankyou Dante, but now it's time for our end of the bargain, you have
our blades by your side...we will make lady Lorannas trip here as trouble free
as possible for you" She said handing Dante a few coins "Here's some
money to get that armour repaired and cleaned up" She said patting him on
the back "Thankyou" He replied while being pretty much thrusted out
of the door by the nord woman.
Dante made his way to the Armoror where he emptied his pockets to have his
armour cleaned and repaired.

The Guild Master leads Celezar into the Dinning Hall. Much had
been done in such a short time - many decorations were placed throughout the
room, and places had already been set for the expected guests. A few
entertainers practiced in the corners while servants frantically kept setting
up.
*Celezar entered the room with glee in his eyes, rubbing his licking his lips
greedily. He then turned towards the guild master and replied*
"Kind sir, it has been brought to my attention a sudden need of King
Helseth's, it seems that he will be requiring a great number of sweetrolls,
tons even. In addition, a large sum of meat will be added to that, the same, or
even more than the sweetrolls. I trust you will be able to keep up with your
lord's demmands?"

The huge form steps to the side, and continues towards Liris.
It laughs, and the sound is not pleasant, "You have no friends, Liris, no
one will mourn your passing. Come, surrender freely. I would say it will not
hurt, but your Queen has demanded otherwise."

before him.

forth from his fingers, decreasing the distance between him, Liris, and the
dark figure."

*The wind was blowing quite rapidly as the pair entered the
Hllalu city of Balmora. Great carts of food and drink were arriving and the
hustling and bustling was more spasmodic then usual. Angelique grasped Orion's
hand and pulled him through the crowd into the Lucky Lockup*
"Phew...sure is busy out there...can I trouble you for 2 brandys
sirrah?" Orion said
"Certainly sir...on the house" the bartender replied, handing him two
drinks.
*Orion handed Angelique one of the drinks as the pair sat down at an empty
table in the corner, the bar Inn was fuller than usual*
"Wow some trip huh?" Angelique said while taking a sip of her brandy
"Yha it certainly was...man...but I sure am tired, and I could really use
a good meal"
*Angelique eyed him sternly*
"I mean your stew was good...hahaha?...well I think I'm going to go to
bed" Orion said while finishing his brandy in 3 gulps.
" I'll be doing some work around town for a while" Angelique said
"Then I'll leave the door unlocked" Orion said lazily as he walked up
the stairs
*Angelique took out a piece of paper...it read:

Girai looked about the city of Gnisis. She wasn't here, that was
for certain. The western architechure of Fort Darius hardly did anything to
make him feel more at home. He was in the East, thrown into more Daedric
politics in the last few weeks than he had ever dreamed or wished to have in a
lifetime. If he knew anything of the future, it would only get worse. Gah...
where was Maranda?

Having noted the black clad man’s momentary distraction Liris
nods to his guards. He bunched his leg muscles preparing to lunge… but then
stopped at the sight of the beast of a thousand furs. It stood next to Loranna
and spoke with Allerleirauh’s voice. With a waving his hand towards the ground
he signaled for his guards to wait.
Solin sat off to the side near Doll and waited.

Without looking up Dane immediately knew who it was
"Its a pleasure to see you again Jekk, longtime-no-see eh?" Dane
chuckled
"Yes it is"
"So what brings you to Morrowind?"
Jekk looked around the tavern, before answering "Just came to relive my
childhood" He smiled "It seems like it was only yesterday..."
Dane looked at the celling reminiscing his childhood. After a few hours they
had great conversations and a couple of drinks.
"So is it true Dane?" Jekk had a worried look on his face
"True? what do you mean"
Jekk leaned in closer "Well you know..."
"Ah, you mean about me?"
Jekk nodded
"Yes it is true" Dane sighed "It is true that i have a disease
that transforms me into a, lets just say i can be half werewolf and half
vampire and yes it is true that i was dethrone from Cyrodiil" Dane leaned
back in his chair looking at his jug of ale.
Jekk nodded then sighed "...Were-vamp... Heritec...and Daedric

Loranna watches the stand off with ever-tightening lips; on the one hand, she
remembers Allie's admonishment to stay very still - indeed, maternal instincts
were telling her not to draw Leseth's attention to her at all ...
... However, as turncoat as Lord Liris was wont to be, he had helped her
- and she bore him no true ill will, her unhappiness with his handling of the
drunk guard notwithstanding ...
Damned if she did; act now and anger the Queen of Wayrest, endanger the baby,
possibly others. Damned if she didn't; stand passively and watch one 'loyal' to
her die without lifting a finger.
... In the end, it seemed best to keep quiet; better to take the course that
offered the least risk to others' lives ...

couldn't help but feel that such a sacred and simple image was blasphemed
drastically by its true being chancing to be a Daedric Prince. Nonetheless out
of reverence to the One (who did not approve of disrespecting any Spirit) he
gave a slight, nervous bow. "Lady of Oblivion, I come back with what you

If she is indeed Azura - a few tricks of magic isn't proof enough of this. For

mass bloodshed in Morrowind. They have never been happy with the Armistice, and
this may just be another attempt at destroying it. I am a fool to have trusted

Damnit damnit damnit now what? she thinks, feeling rather unable to do

Taken back by Eliin's sudden outburst, Azrael began to shout
without hesitation, paying attention not to what escaped his mouth, but to the
face of who he was now aiming his dialogue towards:
"Eliin! How could you doubt so easily! Perhaps she has not proven herself,
but would you be so quick to dismiss this notion for a lack of evidence? Do you
not remember times before when this would have resulted in disaster?! This
incarnate brings to us a positive tiding of restoration! But. . .perhaps
you do not see this, being an Altmer, afterall. I would have surmised you a
better mer than this; you have always been open. I beseech you, give it another
thought--do not banish me for this."
(Ang)
"Azrael... how can you fall for her deception so easily? You say she
brings positive tidings of restoration, yet what has she brought with her?
Naught but death and pain. Do we not fight a fire if it sweeps through our
cities? Fire also brings restoration and regenreation once it has died down,
but not before destruction and mayhem. If you cannot see she is the fire, and
she is coming, then I have no other choice." With that, Eliin makes a
motion and two Order of the Lamp Knights enter the room to escort Azrael out.

Meanwhile, Phyrdalion had finished with the slaves, and activated the amulet
given to him by his mentor. "I hope this takes me to him." said
Phyrdalion, clenching the amulet. He was surrounded by light, and was soon in
the bottom room of Madach tradehouse. He walked outside, wondering where

Molag Bal was infuriated at the beast. It had laughed at HIM, a

"Eliin, what suffering has she brought? What mer have perished in
Vvardenfell because of her? Have you seen her kill, maim? Have you seen her act
out of any illogical reasoning here, other than this supposed false claim? We
know only what those fools in Skyrim have sent us, and through a letter

thing? This incarnate did not force the burnings which the guild
representatives claimed to have swept Skyrim; fanatics set them, just as
fanatics have pillaged, plundered, and violated for their impious insolence
against anything that does not conform to their own views? This is no basis on
which we should make such a pretentious suggestion, not so quickly, at very
least!"
The Dunmer paused for a moment, realizing that Eliin would be unwavering in his
own statements towards this incarnate.
"You do as you wish; the end shall see you incorrect, hasty and iniquitous
with your ill accusations. I do not hold anything against you, for you have
been a trustworthy friend. I ask still that you reconsider this. However, I
will be departing--you and this guild no longer have my

crouched behind a rock, unsure of what to do. On one hand, he could aid this

Both could mean being killed. He loaded his crossbow. Then something struck

sent Dar'var alone to deal with a horde of dangerous followers

stands a better chance. With these people , Dar'var knows failure will not mean

"I am going to take him home," she said. "Skein will know what

She lifted Arynel and disappeared.
The malign presence Allerleirauh had sensed in the Void was gone.
She could feel Arynel slipping away, moment by moment. Here in the Void she
could almost see it. As if the Void itself pulled at him. She brought him into
the guildhouse - the true guildhouse - and lay him beneath the spreading tree.
It had leaves now, golden leaves, and bark of silver. In days to come it would
have fruit like diamonds. She needed the fruit now.
"I know this illness," she said. "Away, demons and darkness. You
do not know what you face here. This is the place of the rising of the blue
star. This is the place where the sun and the moon and the stars rest when they
are weary and men cannot see them. This is the home of heroes. This is
Solunastra, and you may not come under this roof."
Skein stepped forward. She had been waiting.
The older Imperial woman was a good contrast for Allerleirauh. Where
Allerleirauh was white of skin and silver of hair, Skein was dusky and dark
haired, with eyes like pools of black water. Now she wore the robes of her
office, long, dark red robes that flowed about her feet, touching the
shimmering water that flowed from the roots of Solunastra's tree.
"Nothing," Allerleirauh said. "Solunastra should have awakened
sooner. The fruit isn't ready."
"General Light," Skein said, bending over her so that her dark hair
fell around Allie like a curtain. "Solunastra is always timely. You of all
people should have more faith."
Skein held something out, something that twinkled in her hand and cast
reflections in her dark eyes. It was a small fruit, like a fig - only it looked
as if it were cut from a single, living diamond, deeper and brighter than glass
or water.
Arynel could not eat it in his current condition. Allerleirauh bit the fruit,
and squeezed the juice into his slack mouth.

corpse. He bathed Meciander's body, and after it was dry he dripped fine oils
on the skin. He then clothed him, and adorned him with fine jewelry. The body
was placed on a large rock. Before gathering the lumber, he turned to address
the watching group. "I must do this now. Go on without me, I will find you
later. Just leave me with your destination, and I will meet you there."

There was a now, unknown...

Yet fullfilling.
Allerleirauh watched Arynel open his eyes. Was it raining? Was it even possible
for it to rain here? She watched a second large drop strike his face before
noticing that it was a tear. She sat back on her haunches and sneezed,
surprising herself, then turned away a moment until she had regained her
composure.
"You should heal properly now," she said. "And I should send

the town and rubs dirt over his armour and purposely hits himself with the
sword until it looks battle worn and rugged to his liking "There...."
He said to himself re-entering the town.
He noticed Illidan siting in the street with multiple empthy bottles of licquor
of all sorts, "What are you doing?" Asked Dante rather surprised at
his brothers happenings "Mixing the canteens with alcohol stupid" He
blurted back 'W-wait, your telling me your secret mix was just other peoples
alcohols mixed together?" Illidan looked up at Dante
"Yeah...so?" Dante took a sip from his canteen than said "Mm,
Ok"

The fruit of their conversation was that several minutes later, Mirea, the

Loranna.
"Hey," Mirea said, uncertainly, as she tried to get her attention.
"Pregnant Nord lady, hey."

coughed; the crowd gave her a little more room.
"Hey! I need to talk to you!"

'An Invitation to a party, this sounds like fun, but who is that redguard? Oh
well, I wonder if Dante and Illidan will be there.' Teleran mused to himself.
'A party is a party,' he thought to himself as he ran off into eastward.

I walk to the edge of the rope bridge and collapse. Slowly, I
stand and lean against the post, taking in weakly the impending battle. My
wakizashi, Azura's Black Blade of Disaster, falls from my numb arm and clatters
to the ground. I stare at it numbly, then look back up...

I walked by an old ancestral tomb as my trip to Balmora drew to a close. Far in
the distance I could see one of the ominous guard towers looming. It had been a
weary walk, but I had made it this far. Most of my health had recovered, and
thanks to a pilgrim, my magicka had been recovered as well.
Looking at the tomb, I noticed that the door had been propped open with a
staff. Curious, I drew my blade and quickly ran up to the side. I peered inside
the tomb, but saw nothing out of the ordinary. I took the staff and threw it to
the side, letting the door close as I walked in.
I walked downstairs, past the various side rooms, and towards the main shrine.
Usually, bandits or various necromancers liked to make their home there. Sure
enough, as I neared the double-door into the shrine, I heard a soft chanting. I
stretched the blade to my side and cracked open the door. Inside, a bretheren
Dunmer was calling up the spirits of the dead for his own sake. A surge of
anger ran through me, and I stepped through the threshold.
The Necromancer stopped and stared, shocked that someone would find him.
Grinning, I opened my right hand and cast a single Firebolt at him. The dark
mage countered with an Icebolt, and the two canceled each other out, causing
steam to fill the room.
As the smoke cleared, I saw nothing but a longsword coming down. It struck me
in the left shoulder, through my armor, and caused a deep gash into my skin.
Ignoring the pain, I instead gritted my teeth and made a counter-attack, making
a thrust. My sword hit the armor, but the magic took effect as the mage was
hurt by the spells imbued into the blade.
The necromancer didn't act hurt, though, and came at me stronger than before,
using chop after slash. He attacked so fast that it was impossible to duck
every slash and parry every chop. Two times the blade caught me in the right
side, causing large red blotches to appear in my clothing. A chop cut my left
arm and dislocated my elbow, destroying my weapon arm. A thrust pushed me into
the wall and almost knocked me unconscious.
As I looked up at him, I realized that I had picked on a too difficult
opponent. The Telvanni insignia gleamed briefly on his sword as he lifted it,
ready to cleave my head off. I felt anger in my heart at that terrible house,
but now I was to die...
_______________________
Or so I had thought. I don't know what happened, but suddenly I find myself
here at this bridge. In front of me, I think I see the movement of battle
begin. I get a terrible feeling that the Necromancer is dead in a very violent
way.
But then, the feeling passes as I get halfway across the bridge and fall face
down. My sword falls off the bridge, and blood seeps out my body like water. I
feel a slight slurp as my wings are retracted.
And then...
Silence.

The Azura worshippers around them started looking back and forth restlessly and
some looked ready to flee at the next noise. Daggers sprung into the air around
him and twin daedric daggers were in his hands. "Let us face them

Meanwhile Illidan watched in horror as 2 worshipers were set on fire, the both

I look at the only free Daedra in the area. I swear he stares
right back at me.
Figuring there's nothing in my list of spells that'll hurt it, I cast my jump
spell on myself and leap into the air, landing just inches from the Daedra's
form. I compose a purely defensive fighting stance: my right arm is held out in
front of me to block while my sword is in my left, the blade pointing back and
down. My feet are angled in a wide formation made for both quick reaction and
defense.

I hold the sword in front of me and close my eyes as the spell
slams, full force, into the magickal blade.
The fire goes into the blade and into my hands. I cringe as my fingers burn and
a searing heat goes into my arms, but I hold. Around me and the monarch, embers
fly about, kind of like those old paintings you see of Dunmer wars when fire
spells are going everywhere. The blade, meanwhile, strains under pressure, and
a small crack begins to appear as the spell continues to drive into the blade.
My feet sink into the ground as the spell drives downward. The crack in the
blade grows. I can feel the heat rising into my shoulders, causing my wounds to
pulse in pain. I can't hold the blade much longer as I feel the burns more than
ever.
Then suddenly the sword snaps in two, and what's left of the spell hits me full
force into the chest. I groan, but stand. The sword's magick isn't gone - as an
artifact, that's impossible - but it's not battle ready anymore. But I don't
give up. I pick up the blade part of the sword and jump up on the
Monarch. I ignore the heat and the embers as I grapple the Daedra and lift the
improvised knife. I bring the magickal blade down into the creature's head...

Cranky Dremora... angry and ready to attack...
Meridia giggled at this from behind a tree... things were going as planned
Teleran
As Teleran was turning to go after the nearest Monarch, he heard screams coming
from the direction of the mine, 'The worshippers!' he thought. He turned on his
heel and sprinted toward the mine and the Dremora now emerging. He called
Nehtayem and sent it towards the closest Dremora, straght as an arrow's flight
for its head.
Tholer Rathryon
One of the Monarchs went out, 'What!?! they cannot prevail against the champions
of Vivec!'

Burny shreaks as he is sent onto his knees, and vanishes into

The Dremora, one of which had been slain, were now even more angry, charged out
of the cave, and started ripping appart the Azura Worshipers... they were
cranky about being locked up in an ebony mine for three days, and even crankyer
(is that even a word?) that one of thier liking was slain

After the blade cuts him, I realize just how much of a bad idea
that was. I feel the glass in my armor and the cotton of my clothes press
against my body like fire as I fall to my knees. I put the shattered pieces of
the blade into one pile, then discard the clothes. Underneath them, my
special-made glass armor pulses red with heat. It burns into my skin. I'm about
to rip the armor off and jump into the river when I look at the Dremora.
I narrow my eyes and prepare an Oni-Shoti Firestrike when... a strange
heartbeat fills my ears. I figure out that it's my own heartbeat as it makes my
whole body quake. Images fill my mind... images that shouldn't exist. I see...
I hear... I think...
And then, again, nothing...

Tharivor's body quakes again as he lifts his eyes to the heavens and screams an
unearthly scream. His armor glows bright red and begins melting into his Dunmer
flesh. His azure eyes mix with red and becomes a violet color as ten green
claws begin to stab their way out of his fingertips, glowing with power.
His wings begin to manifest tendons, then muscle, and finally skin, and take
the shape similar to a Winged Twilight Daedra. Fangs appear on his canines as
the tattoo "Saint Azura" creates a burn into his flesh forcing him to
fall to his knees.
Suddenly, the creature that was Tharivor looks up. A low guttural growl echoes
from his body as he eyes to Dremora. He stands and the wings flap once, twice,
three times. In a single leap, he takes to the air and charges into one of the
Dremora...
(OOC: In this case, Tharivor - meaning me - has no control over himself. The
acting GM must take control of him while in this Berserk form)

As he bore down on the Dremora, his path was blocked by fleeing worshippers,

the crowd Nehtayem hacked the sword arm of a Dremora as it was raised to strike
those fleeing.

Teleran let loose both of his remaining daggers, 'There's only a few of them.'
He thought as he allowed himself to be buffeted by the fleeing worshippers. The
two Daedric Blades cut a Dremora in twain and Nehtayem took yet another in the
chest. 'I'm moving too slow,' he thought as more of the worshippers fell victim

through the Dremora in a rage.

Teleran pulled his daggers back to their sheaths as the last Dremora fell. A
good number of the worshippers were down and the berserk warrior had fallen unconcious
as the battle ended. The worshippers were in a state of shock from the recent
events.
"Follow me faithful, your true Goddess will arrive soon." Teleran
said as he lifted the fallen warrior. "Come make your way back to your
homes, the danger has passed." 'at least I hope it has.' But as he thought
that he kept feeling a rising anticipation for the next battle, for there would
be a next one. Of that much he was sure.
When they got back to town the worshippers dispersed and went to their homes
and Habasi was more than happy to accomodate this guest provided Teleran paid.
A few septims was all it cost though and soon The warrior had a bed and Teleran
was drinking in the bar downstairs.

Nalion had followed the party of Loranna as it broke camp. The
town "Balmora" had been mentioned several times, by fellow party
members as well as the crowd. Knowing this, he moved slower than the party. The
crowd around Loranna/Azura was at times fiercely fanatical, only to stand still
in silent worship for her in the next moment. He needed a bit of solitude for
himself now... and he needed room to think.
A realization concerning the events of Azura's first revelation to the Dunmer
at the temple of Gnisis came to his mind.
"Truly, she may have concern for the Dunmer. This might be all well and
good, but does she truly have concern for other people, too? A leader, even if
it is a spiritual one, has also to consider the relations between the nations.
And in the times that lie ahead of us, no nation may stand alone for itself.
She's feeding the Dunmer again with the ancient hatred towards their former
enemies, only to gain faith and support? Enraged with this fury a people,
especially one as fierce as the Dunmer, can become uncontrollable, does she
even think about what that may cause? Yet another war with Skyrim? Yet another
war with the Empire? A cleansing of Morrowind from all outlanders? And what
about those who oppose her who still bear the faith in Vivec? Old beliefs
cannot be turned easily in a day. The armistice Vivec signed with the Empire
might be resented by the Dunmer, but still it had prevented much bloodshed and
had brought peace to Morrowind."
Nalion did not concur with many actions the Empire had made against the province
of Morrowind since the armistice, no, and he appreciated the chance of mercy
Loranna had offered those who did injustice to the Dunmer. Still, sometimes,
ancient traditions and sentiments had to be broken and buried to become the
medium of new growth.
"On the other hand, Loranna maintains a close relationship with
non-Dunmer, she is Nord herself! Especially Allerleirauh, who seems a friend as
well as an opponent to Loranna/Azura. But what applies to Loranna may not apply
to Azura? Are those I gladly call friends - are we - but tools in a greater
scheme? Still, Loranna/Azura had protected all of them from the beast at Koal
Cave and showed courage... or foolishness?... in stepping up to the creature
unarmed? Or was there more to it than met the eye? And the most important
question is: what is my part in this?"
Nalions' thoughts again go back in time and remember Solitude and Snowhawk...
"Contradictions, nothing is easy, nothing is obvious and nothing is
what it seems to be."
Sometimes Nalion wished he was born in a more peaceful and quieter time. But
then, he had the opportunity to take part in what shapes history, and maybe he
could contribute a trifle to shape a hopefully better future... The mage
scratched his chin, taking a second thought on the matter and continues
trailing behind the crowd, ignorant of the events that occur some miles ahead
of him and pondering about his role in the game...
Through fires' flame and heat,
I will have to walk at last,
Unscathed will I be?

The Isle of Artaeum, Summurset
Another day is added to the next, just as another heavy stone in placed upon an
already overbearing load. High in a tower, B sat at a table studying texts and
maps. As he pondered his choices, he wrote in his journal:
Dear Allerleirauh,
I have given it a lot of thought, and I’ve decided that I am going to Oblivion.
Preparations are being made, and I will be entering the Dreaming Cavern by
day’s end.
Please do not try and talk me out of it. I have already made up my mind. I will
not stay long, and my sojourn poses little risk.
I may be out of contact for a while. Please do not fear. I shall return safely.
Truly,
~B

Dante, still weary from the battle he had just overcome was
slouched on the ground, using his sword to hold himself up. "ugh,
I-Illidan, let's go" He said wiping sweat from his face. Illidan watched
concerned as his brother barely managed to stay on his own feet "Dante,
are you ok?" He asked.
"I'm fine, don't worry about me, all I need is a good rest" He
replied, slowly making his way across the rope bridge and back towards the town
of Balmora. They made their way to a tavern and Illidan rented a bed for Dante
"You rest up now, here is some money for that armour of yours" He
exclaimed, handing Dante some coins "Thankyou Illidan" Said Dante,
slowly edging his way up the stairs to his bedroom.
Oh....I can't wait to get some rest... He thought to himself, opening
the door and laying down on the bed, closing his eyes. Inside his head, a voice
whispered to him Good work Dante, you have well earnt this
rest...you have accomplished many feates, which, to be honest, I never thought
you could handle. And at that, Dante drifted into a
deep, relaxing sleep.

*Erenius would normally be towards teh front of the party, but
for now, he was taking the back of the party, but still ahead of the very rear,
a few dozen yards ahead of Nalion was his exact posting*
"Whenever we come to Balmora," Erenius muses to himself. "I
better find a decent room somewhere, with some good food, on the Eastern Bank
of the Odai preferably."

Meridia was happy... she had not been this happy in a while...
sure, she had not slain as many Azura Worshipers as she wanted... but she
slayed enough... but it was time to go... she had errands to run, people to
curse, Queens to torment... Slowly, she picked the ring of the Shadow Mind from
her pocket, and placed it on her finger, canceling out the effects of the
Signet ring...
Maranda awoke... 'Where am I?' she asked
Do not be silly, your in your room!' Meridia said, an aspect of her standing nearby in her little
girl form
'Ah' said Maranda, knowing what had just happened quite well... 'well, is there
anything that I should know?'
'Look in your pocket... there is a note in there... read
it'
Yes, what is it?' asked Maranda
Practice it... make sure that you remember it off by
heart... it is the first name of the ritual, be thankful of Girai for getting
this... the condition was that I was not to harm Azura's child... that means
you will have to kill them for me when the time comes... which it is not now. I
want Azura and Loranna trapped in the deepest, darkest, smelliest dungeon in
all of Tarmel... in between a mass murderer and Fargoth... you are to capture
her for me... get the support you need... if you check your money pouch you
will find it full of gold you need to complete your mission... now go she dissapered, leaving a rather gittery Maranda standing in
her room. Shardie entered...
'Is it not nearly time for your siblings party? I hear its tomorrow...' Shardie
asked
'What are you on about, I have no siblings...' Maranda asked, confusingly,
looking at the issue of the Common Tounge on the table beside her, and another
note telling of a Great Feast for King Hesleth... She begain to read the name
Meridia gave her again and again...

*Erenius loooks about the group, and realizes that things arent
moving quite fast enough*
"Guess I'll go ahead," Erenius mutters as he leaves the group, taking
only the necessities, leaving his guar in the crowd to be tended by a trusted
friend amongst them.
*Erenius passes the front of the group rather quickly and looks about for a
moment, slightly lost and confused*
"Damn it," Erenius mutters as he looks about, noting the ravines on
either side. "Think we may be going too far south. But I don't exactly
have time just yet..."
*With that, Erenius continues his run to Balmora, arriving at the mud-brick
gates in about an hour or so*
"Surpised just how little time it took," Erenius says, slightly out
of breath as he sits on an empty crate near the Council Club. "But then
again, walking, with a few hundred or so followers, can slow anyone down. After
all, the group can move only as fast as the slowest one there."

Phyrdalion was hard-presed to find sufficient lumber. In the
end, he was forced to cut down a large tree, felling it with a spell. He then
chopped it into pieces, and lay them out into the circle of Arkay. He placed
Meciander's body into the center of the circle, laying it with the right hand
over the heart, the second clutching nightbane at his side. In the right hand
was a signet ring, the ring of Stendarr, given to the most loyal members of the
temple. Phyrdalion then walked out of the circle, and began to recite the words
to Arkay's blessing. "Indonihm melithedrius monthonay. Relequies
nihntomiel galeidruhn. Porkhun Meciander locknorath." after he had
finished the incantation, the wooden circle turned into a molten silver, and
merged into one creation. The now silver circle glowed with a bright white
light, and began to flame. The flames were a sort of blueish white. The circle
burned for hours, and when it was ending, a light came from the sky, and
Meciander's body was completely gone. The circle and everything in it had
disapeared, leaving only a scorched symbol of Arkay. "So it is
finished" said Phyrdalion, equiping himself with Meciander's armor.
"Now, I must fulfill my oath, and accompany Azura's party."
Phyrdalion walked back to Gnisis, and boarded the silt strider. "Could you
take me to Balmora?' asked Phyrdalion.
"Well, it's not one of my usual spots." said the caravanner, looking
at Phyrdalion's very affluential armor.
"I will give you five-hundred septims if you get me there before
sunset." Said Phydalion, holding a bloated purse in front of the Dunmer.
"Well, sir. If it is that urgent, I guess I can't refuse." The
caravanner took hold of the control mechanisms, and urged the strider to move
as fast as it could move.
Phydalion slept during the ride, and when the Caravanner woke him, he could see
the town of Balmora. "Thank you, you have been most helpful."
Phydalion left before the mer could reply. It was imperative that he prepare
himself before Loranna and her group arrived. He first went to Meldor, and
commishioned him to repair his armor and blade. Then, he went to Nalcarya, and
purchased a healthy amount of potions to restore health and magicka. Then, when
he had found everything he needed, he decided to look around town, and see any
events of import. Walking in the mansion square, he was confronted by a dunmer.
"You there, outlander, what are you doing in such meager attire?"
questioned the dunmer, eyeing Phydalion's simple clothing "King Helseth is
coming you fool, we must all look our best." The dunmer grabbed him by the
wrist and took him to Millie Hastien's "Here, buy yourself something nice.
Or else stay inside while the king is here.
Phydalion was taken aback by the man's demand, but also intrigued. He went into
the clothier's and bought a luxurious blue overcoat, a fine white silken shirt
for underneath, and black velvet pants. After he had put these on, he looked
more noble than most Hlaalu councilors. He then found a young Bosmer boy, and
gave him a sack of fifty septims. "Now then, boy, I have a task for you,
for which you are being well paid. I want you to keep an eye out around town.
If you see anyone named Loranna, or hear anything of a Nord woman with a large
following, come get me. I will be staying at the Eight Plates, do you
understand?"
The boy nods his head, and Phyrdalion releases the boy's shoulder. "You
can count on me." says the boy, feeling somewhat exihlerated at having an
adult responsibility. The boy ran off, and told all his friends to keep a
lookout for Loranna and her following. Phyrdalion had done all that he needed,
and was ready to retire for the night.

Wayrest, High Rock
When the palace in Wayrest was torn down, it was a destruction not only of the
Queen’s home, but of her administrative offices as well. Her treasury and
bureaucracy had to find new and secure lodgings all over the city.
The new home of the spymaster was in a poor section of the city, beneath a
block of shops, in a secret dungeon they called the Oubliettes. The prisoners
there were awaiting trial, some of them for many years, but Elysana simply had
them all executed. Its clandestine location suited Ryvad Castellian very well.
It was impossible to penetrate even if one knew its location, which no one did.
Anyone could come and go out of the offices, through trap doors and false walls
in the alleyway, and no one would be the wiser.
It had not taken Ryvad long to go through most of the records, for as
exhaustive as they were, they were very well organized. And he had discovered
something that his liege would need to know, about a spy in the court named Tirin.
Castellian immediately began the letter.

*Angelique weaved in and out of the crowds, crossing the bridge
over to the poorer section of town. she noted the Odai River more choppy than
normal. Once she approached the South Wall she went to the left of the entrance
and found a small alley and a chest. Inside was a note*
QUOTE
A,

have come up with your payment so I want you to meet me in the Lucky Lockup.
Q
What?!?....this is going to be more difficult than I thought...what id Orion
sees me?....I guess I'll just have to risk it...
*She took out of her bag a parcel and placed it in the open chest*
"I hope this is worth all it's trouble" she said as she closed the
chest and walked out of the alley heading back across the Odai...*

*As she entered the bustling Lucky Lockup she noted her old
friend/business partner, Qazin, sitting by himself in a corner table. She sat
down next to him while he sipped on a vial of Skooma*
"Always the conisseur of fine drinks eh Qaz"?
"Yha...I sure do enjoy the better things in life" replied Qazin
*They both chuckled*
"So...about my payment" Angelique started but Qazin cut her off
"Listen...I had a bad run in with the guards at Wayrest...they discovered
my cashe' and slapped a hefty fine on my spotted owl."
"So I guess I'm just a member of the Imperial Cult eh Qaz?...goin around
doin' good deeds all the time?" Angelique said getting a bit anxious
"I'll get your money...don't worry...It's just I need you to take care of
something for me."
"I'm listening"
"Ok, there's a guy down at the Temple who is willing to pay me ALOT of
money in order to have a looney locked up...only problem is that he's supposed
to be a really strong warrior and no one will take the job."
"and that's where I come in..."
"Exactly!....I want you to yha know...work a little charm...get to know
him and then....extort him!....tell the guards to come in one night after he's
wasted and high and have them throw him in jail!"
"Sounds easy enough...ok who is he?"
"heh...thats the thing...we don't really know...but we do think he'll be
coming to Balmora for this great feast so just keep an eye out for looneys
running around flapping their gums"
*Qazin got up and before he strode out the door winked at Angelique*
Wow....this sounds like fun...man Im tired I think I'll go
lay down....
*She got up and walked upstairs...opened the door and saw Orion sleeping on the
bed. She gently moved him over a bit and lay down with him*

*Azure had been searching all night beyond the gates for the
palace, but found nothing and turned back*
"Damn...the Queen hides the place quite well..." Azure mutters as he
returns to the city, after passing through the vine-covered iron gates the
guide had taken him through earlier. Soon, Azure was in Wayrest again, sleeping
off the last few day's events, preparing a second plan....
--===--
*Erenius stood up at last from the crate in front of the Council Club and
entered the Eight-Plates, the establishment next door*
"Can I help you?" a Dunmer asks as he enters the establishment.
"No thanks," Erenius says as he sits down for a few drinks and a
meal.

" ... I'll keep that in mind for next time," she says to Mirea,
already picturing the raised eyebrow and quiet disapproval Allie would evince,
the glinting eys and practiced grin Aricyn would have before loudly proclaiming
the generosity of Azura to all within earshot, and her own inscrutable
expression.
As Balmora gets closer, Loranna can smell the festival foods and she blinks,
remembring holiday celebrations in her youth. She wonders what such
celebrations are like here in Morrowind.
" ... You ready for the party?" she asks Mirea.

*Qazin walked slowly, nonchallantly as he walked north down the
streets of Balmora. A steady wind blew about the crowded path and he pulled his
coat closer about his body. Seeking shelter and perhaps more oppurtunity he
entered the Eight Plates*
"Hello good chap! Could you get me a round of everything on the
menu?" he said cordially to the waiter
*As he sat down he looked around the room. A trio or Argonians huddled around
one table, a fierce but wise looking Imperial and about 5 Dunmer that are
entering the door*
"Hmph...not much happening here...."
*Starts to grow anxious on his food*
"WAITER! Where is my food?"
"Im sorry sir but we are low in our larders because the great feast is
soaking up all our food! I will try to have something ready soon!" the
waiter replies
Dirty good for nothing s'wit...

thickens tremendously at the end in a curved tip resembling a pear.*

"What are you thinking?" Erenius says to Apinia.
"Merely finishing what some in Skyrim started," Apinia replies.
*Erenius is momentarily confused for a moment then realizes that the reavers he
slew while with Nalion were probably not Reavers, but instead part of an

"I shoulda known, those Reavers were a tad too organized to be frenzied

*Apinia, seeing Erenius's motion to the blade, lunges at Erenius*

citizens waved great flags and ornaments where thrown about. He had heard the

"Ah, the parade, an unstoppable army of color and cheer...how delightful.
Come, Celezar, let us see these honored guests for ourselves!"

As Balmora comes into view, Aricyn rides to the front of the
group, to the trumpet-bearing heralds.
"Go, and announce the coming of Azura," he commands, and they run
ahead.
"So, Loranna, the first big settlement is ahead. Ready to make a good
impression?" he asks with an encouraging smile.
Far ahead, the sound of trumpets can be heard.

QUOTE(Loranna @ Dec 16 2004, 04:28 PM)
Loranna finds herself unconsciously downplaying what regalness
she'd been wont to exude during her travels.
"I'm always ready for the party," Mirea said. "People love me at
parties. The question is, is everyone ELSE at the party ready for ME? Have you
told anyone we're even going to a party?"

Dane heard the faint sound of armor clicking as Jekk walked out

Jekk walked out the door, he remeber Dane telling him that there going to be a

The highest point in Balmora was the Silt Strider station which
was filled far beyond capacity with a cheering crowd. When they saw the
procession, they roared and applauded.
"I don't see the King," one woman in the group whispered to another.
"Do you?"
"Yes! Isn't that him there?" her friend answered, pointing to no one
in particular.
"Oh yes!" the woman applauded, looking around and seeing that
everyone else must have seen him as well. "He's so handsome! Huzzah!"

What I want? Azura back home, all this hubbub done and over with, whatever

Allerleirauh shook her head slightly. "Whatever touched you
drained more than blood. You are entirely well now, in body, I believe, but the
mind heals in its own time. I think we should travel in a different manner for
the present time."
She leaned forward and whispered a string of power into Arynel's ear.
Then she smiled. "Always remember that dreams are just as real as
nightmares. It's a philosophy that has helped me a lot. Shall we make ourselves
ready?"
Arynel's eyes grew wide with revelation, the Breton nodded and smiled.
"Yes, I think we should go as soon as possible."

Noticing Orion approach him, Dagoth attempts to calm his raging
magical energies. 'As fine as one can be with all these people spreading false
rumors about Loranna.....'

"Glorious Lady and Great Mother!" cried Nileno Dorvayn
at the sight of Loranna and her retinue, bowing humbly. "Your visit brings
honor to Balmora! We are at your disposal and have a feast which we hope and
pray will please you, and our other honored guests!"

"Im sure it will be fine..."
*Orion spots Loranna in the crowd*
"excuse me"
*He walks over to Loranna and bows deeply*
"Hello my lady, how do I come to you at this time? I hope you will enjoy
your party"

Mirea looked at Loranna. "Right, now the trick with these
things is you have to look bored with everything they do for you, like you've
seen it all before. Practice looking unpleasant, like a Dunmer. No, you're
smiling now! That's no good!"
Mirea hopped down from the litter. "Sit up straight," she whispered,
before being swept away by the crowd. "Or, well, never mind."

Reichi hurried ahead, pushing through the crowds rushing to see
Loranna. Upon getting through crowds and into Balmora he wandered towards where
the Hlaalu noble's manors and the wealthy trader dwelled. Along with the Morag
Tong guildhall.
Dar'Var had a simpler time of getting through the crowd. It was a mere matter
of using a poor dunmeri peasant as a springboard for a leap to a tree, then the
Silt Strider platform.

Loranna blushes slightly, more at the words Great Mother than Glorious Lady;
she unconsciously holds a hand over her belly and smiles with appreciation ...
" ... My generous Lady, your kind words bring warmth and joy to my
heart," she says, actually meaning what she says more than she'd thought
she would. "I'm honored more than I can say, and look forward to enjoying
the feast you have prepared ..."
She looks down at her belly for a moment, patting it and murmuring quietly to
the baby. Heh; was that a kick ...
Seeing Orion, Loranna gives him a small smile, Mirea's words vaguely echoing in
her head.

*Celezar stood shyly behind one of the nobles accompanying Nileno, the little
old man stood on his tippy toes, peering over the man's shoulder to get a
better look at Loranna and her party. He scanned her companions and, upon
seeing Dagoth, winks at him whimsically with one of his little golden eyes
before falling back in postion behind the noble*
"Silly little folk, they are, quite queer company she keeps, eh
Celezar?"
"Indeed, Celezar, strange little puppets..."

" ... Shall we head for the feast now?" Loranna asks
demurely, looking to Nileno Dorvayn.

"Then let us feast!" cries Nileno, and the crowd roars. Even if they
are all not going to the feast, food is being prepared all over the town,
making it a wide celebration.
The group is escorted to the Hlaalu stronghold on the far (western?) side of
town.

Allerleirauh and Arynel appeared just outside Balmora, in the
hills overlooking the streets full of cheering people.
Allerleirauh wore the same dress she had worn when Sheogorath danced with Loranna,
though the mode had changed to suit the Dunmer fashion and climate; it left her
shoulders bare, and shimmered like starlight.

Dante snapped awake in his bed, seemingly every muscle in his
body was in pain "Ugh....damn that hurts" He said, falling out of the
bed and staggering to his feet. Might as well get this armour fixed while
I'm at it... He thought limping out of the Tradehouse and down back to
Meldors armoury...where after atleast 10 minutes the armour was repaired, as
best it could of been. "Come again soon Dunmer!" shouted the little
bosmer behind the counter, smiling from ear to ear "Yeah....sure"
Replied Dante walking out of the store and onto the streets.

"My thanks, Allerleirauh." Arynel said.
The Breton wore his usual clothing, including the shirt and cloak Allie had
sewn for him.
Arynel turned his attention towards the throng of people, and his feet led him
where his sight had settled.
