In the previous installment ... people did a lot of talking, story-swapping, and ruminating. Some plans have been laid to head toward Balmora on the way to the Ghostgate Shrine, and while Loranna has started asking her followers to go ahead and pave the way for a peaceful journey, forces mortal and immortal make their moves either for or against her quest ...

As always, mirc ChatSpike channel #Loranna_RP is our official chatroom for the event. Everyone who plays is welcomed and encouraged to join the chat so that we may discuss plot developments and swap jokes about our characters Those who can't get into the chatroom are encouraged to PM me about any plot ideas or scene-effecting actions they have in mind; I will try to answer you wll all possible speed.

QUOTE

'You are not a monster Loranna. You are trying to help these people. If a few people get hurt, it is because of others trying to stop you. No one would get hurt if they just listened and stopped trying to get in the way. Try not to worry so much. Worry will only make things get worse. Trust me on this, I know. You are a good person Loranna, despite what you say about yourself.'  - Dagoth Lich, previous topic

Loranna frowns. ... It's a little more than that, dear, she says gently, her thoughts wrapping around Dagoth in a loose embrace. I don't think I'm the best person to lead people, especially a people I'm not really familiar with. Other's efforts to stop me are just one part of what's going on.

... I mean well; I honestly don't want anyone to get hurt, she continues. I made some bad mistakes earlier and now it's at the point where I can't stop or even radically alter the path I'm on; Azura's gaining power and she's not going to stop until she's freed. If it weren't for Sen-Yedda, I'd ... I'd consider asking you to take my life and let you bind my soul to something to keep me close to you, but even there, my body isn't just my own anymore ... and much as I fear I'm bringing her into a bad world, I can't do that to her ...

Meciander tossed in his bed. All night, Molag Bal tortured him, making him relive his past. He had nightmares of nightmares. Molag Bal forced him to see again the faces of each innocent person he had killed. He saw them looking up into his cold, dead eyes, terrieified. He watched himself descend upon them, tearing into their flesh with his glistening fangs. He remembered hearing the crys of the children as they watched their parents die. them he was taken back farther, to when he was a knight of the temple. He saw his fellow hunters, all clad in their fine armour. Then the dream changed, and the same hunters were chasing him, hunting him like a dog. It then came to the point of breaking, when he killed the woman he had loved. He was in the imperial city, cloaked, looking for a meal. He walked through the streets, and snuck into someone's house. The man readied his sword, but Meciander simply knocked it aside and sank his fangs into the man's neck. When the man's daughter entered the room, Meciander threw the sword blindly, sending it through her heart. When he looked up from the drained corpse, it was his love, Mersilla. He fled, running from the daylight. After that, the dream turned to his pact with Molag Bal, as Meciander saw himself lying on the floor before the great statue, writhing in the pain of his healing.

You see, Meciander? You belong to me, nobody can redeem you from what you have done. Nobody but me. I am your blood, I am your flesh, and I am your mind. You serve me always. Molag Bal's voice sounded harsher in Meciander's ears than anything he had ever heard.

Meciander awoke to find himself on the ground, lying in the same position he had been in in his dream. His body had returned to normal, but he still had no control over his actions. Molag Bal was still acting as the puppeteer, controlling his every move. "
Now, let us see what Azura does today." said Molag Bal, walking out the tradehouse doors, intent on finding Loranna.

A tall gaunt figure steps out of nothingness, darkness hangs about him*

"No, she isn't a monster.......... but I'm afraid that she may be carrying one."

*Looking at the girl*

"I think it is time we talk of your singing"
*Pause*
"And some sour notes."

"M'Lady," Erenius says as he comes forth.  "If I may have a word with you for a few moments?  Its about the guards, and something a Colovian just spoke to me of..."

Loranna turns to Erenius, her thoughts briefly reaching out toward him ... but then she decides to just let him talk on his own, and listen in mortal fashion.

"Yes dear?" she asks.

Then, she blinks, wondering at the voice she hears ...

"Well, a half-dozen or so guards have shown up at Indarys Manor, and Lord Indarys has sent a messenger to me about it," Erenius replies.

"As for the Colovian lady. I trust her...I've known her prior to this, but quite frankly, she's far from trustworthy, despite having uncanny intuition. Basically, she is saying that the Dunmer here are still suprised that Azura has come, and are ignoring your current form...that of an outlander, and a Nord of all races too. And that a goodly number here would love you slain sooner, before Hogithum, than later, leaving you to whatever fate may come upon you.

"In addition to all of this, she is quite convinced in this, and I believe this was the warning she wished to give me, and from me to you, since we ran into each other in Ald Velothi..." Erenius concludes. "Take it as you will...I simply bring forth the events, not necessarily created them."

Where we last left Elysana, the Queen of Wayrest was in her hidden palace in the Wrothgarian Mountains, talking to Lord Ryvad Castellian. He is the third and youngest of the Castellian siblings to become Elysana’s spymaster in a very short time (his sister was killed in the fight in the inn in the Noble Seamstress RP, his brother died after sustaining injuries in Ciel’s escape for which Elysana refused to let him be healed).

Elysana does not look well herself. She had an episode of madness last night, tearing apart her audience chamber after a visitation from Sheogorath, one of the Daedra Princes she has made a contract with. Her councilors and servants are keeping this secret, for obvious reasons.

Her Void Ranger spies Leseth and Bosriel are en route back from Hammerfell, having investigated the cause of Ciel’s second escape from Elysana’s wrath …

Dagoth hears Loranna's words, and would cry if he could. 'Loranna I...... I honestly don't know what to say about this. You would give me your soul just to be with me if you didn't have the child to worry about? To that, I have mixed feelings.' he almost sinks into Loranna's mental embrace, returning the gesture. Loranna thinks warm thoughts at Dagoth. ... I'm in a bad mood, my love; don't let it bother you, she says gently. One way or another, the third prophecy is going to be fulfilled; it's just a question of how, and were we go from there. ... And ... let's not castigate the world; it's got a fair bit of lovliness in it yet, despite everything we're seeing.

To Erenius, Loranna sighs "Guess that Nerevarine fellow's example was jus a flash in the pan," and looks over the company once mroe, her eyes lingering on Aricyn and others who have travelled with her for a time.

" ... Then it seems it's even more imperative to make advance preperations for my unavoidable appearances in public," she says, frowning. "I think, soon as Aricyn has a free moment, that we should talk to him about this as well; he's got a knack for knowing which enemies can be deflected without steel."

Posted by: FireMaster Dec 15 2004, 01:19 AM

"Yes...and with Indarys, I am sure that at the least teh Redoran will be far from hating us when we come through their lands," Erenius replies, realizing that the Nerevarine was in fact not even a Dunmer...or so the stories claimed. "And when do you expect Aricyn to have some free time?"

Dante crouched on one knee, His forehead resting on the hilt of his sword, the blade itself was slightly dug into the ground, so he crouched there, meditating on the words Aricyn had given him earlier.

Illidan watched with concern as his brother crouched next to him, motionless "Uh...Dante, you sure you're alright?" He asked trying to look into his eye as best he could "SHHH!!!" Was the response he got from Dante. "Very well then" He said turning away and putting the last bits of firewood onto the flames.

Become one with the sword...Treat the sword as if it were a part of my body....How excactly am I supposed to accomplih this!? He thought to himself...Moments later a voice bellowed in his head
Heh, If you cant master that simple trick, then you have much to learn about becoming a great warrior The voice in his head continued to snicker as Dante remained motionless.

This is for a new character:

Tholer Rathryon
A member of the
Tribunal Temple. He is wanderer but is currently serving in the Balmoran temple and he is fanatically devoted to his beliefs. He is a zealot and one would be wise to avoid insulting the Tribunal around him. He is more skilled with his club than average member, because it is in almost constant use drubbing the Heretics

Of late he has become more xenophobic and extreme in his beliefs. He refuses to accept the Nerevarine because (s)he is an outlander. Rathryon believes that Vivec's acceptance of the Nerevarine is a falsehood perpetrated by the House of Troubles.

"Blessed are we who serve the ALMSIVI. May the Tribunal(Blessed be their Holy Names) protect and preserve us. Through the Tribunal's(Blessed be their Holy Names) strength the blight is kept at bay and the Demon, Dagoth Ur, is contained. Through the Tribunal's(Blessed be their Holy Names) wisdom we have prospered and grown great. Through the Tribunal's(Blessed be their Holy Names) teachings, only, may we find salvation. Blessed be the Holy Three, ALMSIVI."

He went back, inside, feeling refreshed by the morning sermon. Inside he sees a mer who has not been in the temple before, "Who are you my friend? What do you seek in this house of Worship?"

"I come bearing news from the North," replied the mer, "They say that there is an incarnation of Azura, a Nordic woman, at Gnisis. Performing miracles, so they say."

Tholer Rathryon's eyes hardened, "Do you not remember that rumours flow from the House of Troubles? She cannot be Azura. Preparations must be made to ensure the populace is not swayed by her words. She must be seen for what she truly is, an impostor, one of our ancient enemies!" With that he moved Briskly into his room to prepare.

"Yes" he says

"There is much that stands against you", "as you already know."

"One gift I have given you" *he motions to the amulet*
"I'm afraid it was too little to help you, or to counter the fears of certain princes"

*Pause*

"Vehk has planted his seed to well"
"The Princes move against you even now"
"They will not allow this song to be sung"

"My 'gift' may be a some service again"
*He motions again to the amulet and it changes into a dragons head holding the crystal in its mouth*

"In case both of you should perish, hopefully all will not be lost"

"If you have questions I will answer now, as I can, for later I may not be able to help you."

Loranna looks down at the newly-shaped amulet, the old girlish part of her noting that it is actually rather pretty, albiet quite fierce-looking, not the sort of thing she'd have once thought to wear ...

" ... Who are you, and ... while thank you, why?" Loranna asks, looking back to the elf.

Zaldaar sences the item of great power and makes his way towards Loranna. He stops once he sees Dracodrakonis. "This one is powerful." Zaldaar closes his eyes and reaches to the paths of the puture. They come at once and Zaldaar almost stumbles from their power. He opens his eyes and shakes his head. At least he got a clear picture of some of them and chosen the one he wanted to come to pass.

Reichi awoke from his slumber next to the fire with the group of Loranna's Followers. Dar'var was lying nearby, mumbling in Khajiiti and sleeping soundly.

Molag Bal looked around town, hoping to find Loranna. He wished he could leave Meciander's body, but he knew that if he did so, Meciander would kill himself quickly. So he stayed, and tried to find Loranna. As he stood atop a hill, he could see Loranna talking with an Altmer and a legionaire. "Well, it seems we have a new visitor." said Molag Bal, watching the Altmer intently. Then he sensed it, a force of mighty power. It was a power familiar to Meciander, and therefore to Molag Bal. "Ephidryus... I never thought that he would show up here. Azura must be drawing more attention than I thought. We may get to draw fresh blood soon." Said Molag Bal, as the troupe came into view. Molag Bal counted about two dozen elite troopers, outfitted with ornate steel armour, two inquisitors, and Ephidryus. "Well, I had better tell them so we may prepare. Even with my power and Meciander's body, I do not think I can kill them all. Molag Bal moved down the hill and went to where Loranna was.

"Who am I ?"

"Now that IS a good question", "And one that no-one has the answer to"

*He pauses thoughtfully for a moment*

"I am a Weaver, and a mender"

*While you can tell what he is saying is true, it is not the entire truth*

"As for why, because I am a weaver and a mender"

"A weaver and a mender." Zaldaar mutters. He was beginning to understand what the Altmer was. He looked at Marquis then. He knew what had happened, but it wasn't important. He wouldn't make his move yet, and when he did Zaldaar was going to be ready.

Reichi regarded Meciander cautiously, something said this guy wasn't right. Some about him was wrong. But he couldn't place his finger on it. Dar'var on the other hand had awoken, after rolling off the cliff/hill the followers of azura had camped out on and was soaking wet.

Both however stared at the talking cloud as it flew offf on a cliffracer.

Dante let out a small rough sigh "Must there forever be distractions?" He asked himself, sheathing his sword and sitting down on the ground. Illidan looked over at his brother "Here, have this...You look kind of hungry" He said, holding out a sweetroll infront of him "Bah! there is no time to eat at the moment, let alone with, with a sweetcake!" he said knocking the sweetroll out of Illidans hand and sending it hurtling down the cliff ino the dirty water below them.

"Real mature Dante, real mature, I'll remember that next time I offer you one though" Said Illidan, taking a bite out of his own sweetroll. Dante mearly blcked him out as he Eyed the newcomers of the group.

Mirror's Plan: Part 2

Finding Elysana

Mirror knew Elysana's party had gone somewhere in the
Wrothgarian Mountains. But he didn't know where. It was too large an area to search thoroughly; the problem was that if he moved at a high enough speed, he couldn't process information properly. His body was faster than his brain.

After more than a day of searching, he resorted to asking mountain peasants if they delivered food anywhere in particular. Then he cursed and kicked rocks for a while.

The palace was probably hidden, not just by magic, but by divine power. Kings could do that sort of thing, they could bargain in a coin which interested even the gods. It wasn't just a location but an Event. And he didn't know which event.

What he needed was a divine power he could ask.

And... conveniently, he had one.

Mirror ran lightly and swiftly through the Void, entering the ordinary world behind an outcropping of rock. He pushed through the crowd to Loranna.

Chaos as usual... what on earth was happening now?

Azrael had been running for what seemed, to him, an eternity, when he finally came to a point on the road where he could see Gnisis once more; recalling the enchantment that his boots bore, he once more made use of it, arriving shortly at the city's large, Cyrodiilic, fort walls. The Dunmer slowed to a complete stop, and leaned against the wall. He took sharp, deep, arhythmic breaths, muttering to himself, "What am I doing again? Oh, yes, of course. Now, to rest.". He stood to continue his journey back to the guild hall, and wavered, collapsing into the dust as he had so many times before, this day.

"Azrael, wake up. . .Azrael, wake up Azrael."

The voice was faint, but enough to cause Azrael to awaken from his unconscious state. He tried to sit up, but had difficulty, being that he was still in between the world of the 'true' and the world of 'dreams'. Despite this groggy feeling, he glanced around the room, and saw Adriana, the Breton Mistress of the Mages guild, seated in a chair next to him, a small vial in her hand, and a concerned look adorning her beautiful, pale face.

"Adriana. . .what. . .", he trailed off, brought to silence by a finger pressing against his lips. The finger retreated into his now clearing field of vision, and he heard Adriana speak again; "Azrael, stay still for now, and drink this. . .there you go, yes. I'll give you a second to gather yourself."

As Azrael drank the last of the liquid which filled the vial he felt suddenly rejuvinated. Sitting up, he was now able to address Adriana in full, awake, and aware. "Mistress, I will ask you why I am as you see me here in a minute, but first, I have information that I must share with you."

He discussed with Adriana the plans of the incarnate, for nearly an hour or two, debating with her the Mages Guild's place in what he called, 'it all'. Adriana confided in him the final details of his mission, based on what orders she had been given herself:

"Azrael. This news you bring to me is not alarming; I have always had faith in the reasonable minds of the daedra, though I have been condoned for doing so. Our orders demand we intervene somehow in this incarnate's success; we have been instructed to stop her, and I have been told that it is in the best interests of the guild that we do. However, what you bring me here, now, causes me to waver in my dedication to this cause. This incarnate is obviously here for legitimate reasons, and though destruction was had in Skyrim, there is no reason to believe what we have heard, that it is her fault, for now. Fanatics have always done such horrid things, in every situation that they have been presented with that afforded such an excuse. For now, I am not sure what to do, whether to change what I have been given to tell you, or to adhere to the directions completely, as they were given to me."

Azrael stared at her as she looked down at her feet, obviously caught deep in thought. He had yet to see this look on the Breton's face, and though he known her only for a short while, he knew that, somehow, it was not a mask she often wore. "Adriana," he said, "I have seen all of this, and though it has been only a day, I will follow all that you may ask of me. Say it, and it will be done."

Adriana looked up, smiling, and replied, "Yes, then let it be so. I am, even still, unsure about what actions may. . .must be taken in this matter. I would ask that you follow this incarnate, the one whom you say goes by the name 'Loranna', to Balmora. Keep your most careful guard in this, and I would ask that when you reach Balmora you consult Eliin; I feel that he would know what to do in this case--he has always had the true interests of everyone around him in mind."

She nodded to Azrael, signaling that she had shared with him all that she could. "I would ask that you take our guild guide back to him, so that you may arrive with proper time to speak with Eliin. I will not ask for the journal that you have, no doubt, been keeping detailed notes in--it is your now, take it with you, and document this time of ours."

The Breton woman stood up and, affectionately, hugged Azrael. The Dunmer turned, and left her, heading for the guild guide, for Eliin, for Balmora, and for that. . .

Zaldaar closes his eyes in concetration. He couldn't even find the slightest trace of the strange Altmer. None of the paths had fortold this. Zaldaar knew only his master could vanish so completely, and that was not his master. Zaldaar sighed. This was going to put a chink in his plans.

Sheogorath lay still in the ground, blood trickling from his mouth, dead eyes staring up, his neck broken.

At Dar'Var's approach, he grabs him and kisses him, and then drops back for his heart-wrenching self Requiem:

Oh, Azura, Azura, the dust and the dawn,
My guts fill with worms, my body their pawn,
Oh, death cometh to stop my immortal dance,
Alas, alackaday, and, aye, what an annoyance
But weep for me not, we soon will laugh and laugh hearty
Don’t dawdle, in the stone wood to the Ear-Clipper’s party

With that, he dies (again), and disintegrates rather nastily, devoured by worms.

Tholer Rathryon
A pity there weren't ordinators in this town. Few of the Hlaalu guards had the proper spirit, but those few would have to do, besides, only those who were truly devoted would do for guards. The grounds in front of the temple would do for the people to gather, and then they would sweep across Balmora purging it of the outlanders and the unbelievers in one glorious crusade. Yes, he could see it now, the witch and her followers swallowed up in a crowd of righteous Mer.

He began chuckling softly to himself, "If Vivec is for us, who can stand against us? Faith conquers all." He looked northward towards Gnisis, "Consider your end, mortal!"

"I'm...confused. Which is normal, for me." His handsome face broke into a broad grin. "And I have a brilliant plan! My entire life people have been telling me to leave the planning to other people; but do I ever listen?"

He took Loranna by the arm. "Look, I know you're busy, but this is important to me. I need to give Elysana a present. I won't hurt her; I want her to think well of me. I know it's crazy, but it's the only possible way. She's still chasing Ciel, she won't stop, not for decades, her family's always been like that. We can't just kill off every man she sends after us. I'm a Breton myself, and those knights of Wayrest were Ciel's comrades, his friends. I know it breaks his heart. Somehow we have to get through to Elysana. She's the key to all of this. Will you help me?"

He took a deep breath. "Sorry, I talk too much. I need to know where Elysana is now. I've tried and I can't find her. But you're Azura, aren't you? Find her for me. Please. I'll do anything you want."

“…love of the Lady,” Liris finished. The assembled guards laughed at their lord’s joke.

“My men at arms, our environment is changing,” he picked up again, “Yet we still bear the vestiges of our former selves. I am no longer a lord of High Rock but a servant of our new Queen,” here a few of the guards snickered and Liris frowned, “And although some of you have not come to respect that the time is fast approaching when we should shed our old ways lest they bring harm on the new.

“This is Hlaalu territory we are entering, should his Grace…” here Liris makes a smirk, “Should his grace find our former selves he would be most wroth and bring his hateful attention against our Queen. Be at the ready to shed our old roses for new roses and all will be well.” A wave of his hands dismissed the assembled guardsmen. When they had all departed Liris turned to his servant.

“How comes the new rose?” the lord asked.

“Very well, my lord,” Faril replied, “It shall be done soon.”

“You have much work to do,” said the Queen of Wayrest to her new spymaster, Ryvad Castellian. “There are hundreds of spies in my kingdom alone, and then there are those in the lands beyond, who will be sending their reports to you now. You must return to the city, and learn your job.”

“I know you expect nothing short of excellence,” said the young man. “And you will get it.”

Elysana gave him a tired smile. “Now leave me. You too, Vonnod. I would be alone.”

The stone benches in the courtyard had been wiped clean of snow, but they were cold. She shivered as she looked at the frozen fountain. There were frogs and fish in there during the summer, but in the winter, they buried themselves in the mud, and slept. She was jealous of them. If only she could sleep during times of death and madness as well …

Meciander stood, and Molag Bal mused on Sheogorath's little poem. "
Much about little, typical of Sheogorath. He laments his death, but of course, laughs about his demise. He will enjoy our coming predicament, and tells us not to stay long in the stone forest, the city. For he wishes us to meet Helseth. Why, I do not know, but I would assume that Helseth is coming for us." Molag Bal turned to address Loranna "So, now what do we do? Shall we await your champion? Tholer Rathryon
It was time to address the faithful, and as usual, the other priests were sorely lacking in enthusiasm. How they lacked the proper devotion to the Temple, it was appalling! So Rathryon took the pulpit and began to speak:

"Blessed are we who serve ALMSIVI.

Listen, faithful, to Vivec's(Blessed be his Holy Name) words, for he says four times and four ways --
Forge a keen Faith in the crucible of suffering.
Engrave upon thy eye the image of injustice.
Death does not diminish; the ghost gilds with glory.
Faith conquers all. Let us yield to Faith.

Hear the words of Lord Vivec(Blessed be his Holy Name), and heed his sermons on the Six Graces, for he names them six times and six ways --
VALOR
DARING
JUSTICE
PRIDE
GENEROSITY
HUMILITY

The Grace of Valor
Thank you for your valor, Lord Vivec. I shall not quail, nor turn away, but face my enemies and my fear.
The Grace of Daring
Thank you for your daring, Lord Vivec. I shall not shun risk, nor hide behind the mask of cautious counsel, for fortune favors the bold.
The Grace of Justice
Thank you for your justice, Lord Vivec. I shall be neither cruel nor arbitrary, for fair dealing earns the love, trust, and respect of our people.
The Grace of Pride
Thank you for your pride, Lord Vivec. I shall not doubt myself, or my people, or my gods, and shall insist upon them, and my ancient rights.
The Grace of Generosity
Thank you for your generosity, Lord Vivec. I shall neither hoard nor steal, nor encumber myself with profitless treasures, but shall share freely among house and hearth.
The Grace of Humilty
Thank you for your humility, Lord Vivec. I shall neither strut nor preen in vanity, but shall know and give thanks for my place in the greater world.

Blessed be the Holy Three, ALMSIVI."

The crowd reacted quite favorably. 'My plans will go off perfectly when the Nordic blasphemer arrives. Nothing will stop them once they know the truth of that charlatan.'

She stopped for a moment to look at his sleeping face, and her expression became tender. Her own sons were long since grown, living the hard life of farmers in the countryside nearby. For her own part she was happy to have a good position in the city; it was almost like retirement. And the people here were kind, even if they were a little strange.

The old woman got a blanket from the large chest and draped it gently over Arynel's sleeping form. The General was upstairs, also sleeping. She considered telling her about the new arrival but decided not to wake her.

QUOTE(Celezar @ Dec 15 2004, 01:41 PM)

*The Hlaalu nobles all sat in a ring around Celezar, listening intently to his masters wishes*

"Now then, if we are to do this we must be swift and succesful, we must take the very meaning of fame and fortune and forge a glorious feast, lest you betray your King Helseth."

*Celezar then turned towards the guild leader*

"My master will need your assistance most of all, kind sir, for you must control your nobles and spread word of this feast so that all of Balmora may take part in the glory of King Helseth.  Will you be able to manage such a public event?  There will be perils in store, no doubt..."

*

"I will certainly do my best, for the glory of our King. It will be a feast to remember, my good... err... what did you say your name was again? Bah, not to worry. I will send word to the nobles." replied the Guild Master. And with that, he wispered instructions to his servants.

"Come, you look as though you need a bath. And you smell as though you need one as well."

The Guild Master pondered for a minute.

"Why did King Helseth send -you-?"

*Celezar shifted uncomfortably in his seat, his puffy armor padding swallowing him a bit*

"Ah, my good man, I was rather hoping you could answer that, for you see I was not so 'told' to run this little errand of mine as I was 'chosen', chosen by my master you see..."

*Celezar eyes the crowd nervously, quickly changing the subject to avoid further interigation by these men of Helseth*

"Now then, a bath sounds rather lovely! I do admit this body of mine is not in the condition it once was, it certainly could use a scrubbing down after a long days journey!"

"No, that I cannot answer. Because it's not in the books. Yes, not in the books. It should always be in the books. This will be looked into. But, yes, I will have a bath placed ready for you in the guest chambers, if you would like to follow my servant."

"Make sure you keep an eye on our guest. I don't want him stealing the silverware before the big feast. Nor do I want the other nobles seeing someone in his -state- wandering around. What will they think!" Whispered the Guild Master to the servant.

*Celezar rose from his chair, bowing to the guildmaster, and followed the servant to a private room contain a deep bathing pit. As far as diplomatic dealings went, Celezar was quite pleased with himself*

"I trust you will have the finest cooks on Vvardenfell here at once, this shall be a grand feast indeed, not one expense spared nor too much wine or dead animal meat!"

*Celezar laughed pleasantly as he left with the servant. Upon reaching his bathing room he quietly closed the door and undressed himself, he was alone for now, or so he thought. As he peered deep into the warm bathing waters, Celezar had seen his reflection for the first time since he had been swallowed whole by that fearsome beast of his masters.*

"Oh dear, puppet Celezar has grown so horribly! Look upon how hideous this puppet's body is, all tattered flesh and dusty bone!"

*Celezar wept sadly*

"Indeed, Celezar, look upon yourself now and see how wretched you have truly become. How lucky you are indeed to be blessed with a brilliant mind such as my own to balance yourself out and restore your inner beauty!"

*Celezar laughed coldly to himself*

"Indeed, the master will surely be pleased with us, these puppets dance to his beat...."

" ... I ... don't think," she says with a look of reluctance "that the choice ... is really mine, anymore. If it ever was to begin with ..."

Posted by: Glensather Dec 15 2004, 06:27 AM

To my left, the Stronghold Shrine of Berandas looms up to intercept my walk. I gaze at it only briefly, ignoring it for the most part, but I do draw forth my Black Blade: Though I would like to reflect the Lady's wishes and not harm anyone, I remember that Daedra and various outlander bandits roam this part of the Smuggler's Coast. Berandas is a visible stronghold, even at sea, just like the others.

Sure enough, as I nearly pass the stronghold, an arrow whizzes by my left ear, cutting the cartilege. I hiss in pain and turn around to notice the sniper run behind the Propylon Chamber of the Stronghold. Narrowing my eyes, I turn and run back to the Stronghold. As I reach the base, I cast a jump spell and leap upward, landing just to the side of the bandit that shot at me. I see the surprise in his eyes at my sudden appearance, and I take a shot at it.

I grab the Breton by the throat and pin him against the wall. He cries in pain as I bend his arm back, snapping it in two.

"How many of you are there, n'wah?" I hiss in his ear. "Tell me,"
"Three," replies the archer. "Me, a Nord, and an orc" He laughs. "Do you really expect to fight all of us and win?" His laughs turn into cries as I bend his arm further back.

"Thanks," I say. "Now, I'm going to let you go. I expect you to run all the way to Ald'Ruhn and seek a healer, then go to jail. If I see you again, you filthy n'wah, I will personally see your entrails fed to the cliffracers,"

I let the man go, and he runs off, screaming. I consider sending a blind spell after him, but I decide not to waste my time. Instead, I look at the door going into the tower. Suspecting they would think a front attack likely, I scrabble up the side of the tower and head inside the hatch.
__________________

An orc stands vigilantly at the door. Knowing fully well I can't take one on alone at this space, I opt to distract him and lure him and his companion outside.

I run towards him and leap over the surprised orc, who takes about three seconds to realize that he just got leapfrogged. I don't even notice his war cry and I round a corner and enter a barracks-like room, where a Nord stands, along with another Breton. So. I think. The n'wah lied. Whistling, the two whirl their heads around and stare at me. They give chase.

I turn around and tumble under the orc's spread feet. I find the front door quickly and kick it open, running outside to the middle. I then stand still.

The Orc and Nord step out first, to either side of me. The Breton stands in the doorway, watching. As the warriors pull out their axes, I grin and shift my feet, locking my eyes on the orc. He gets to one side of me, and the Nord to another. Without waiting on the Nord, the Orc attacks me.

I spring into action. I slip under the Orc's axe, letting it fly across and strike the Nord in the head, severing the brain from the rest of the skull. I run forward to the Breton, my blade drawn and held ready. He swings at me with a staff, but misses wildly. I slip under the overreach and trip him, the staff flying out of his hands. As he falls, I slit his throat with my blade. I feel the magic in the sword channel into the mage.

Suddenly, a sharp pain wracks my body as the axe of the Orc slams into my back, shattering my armor and sending me flying to the wall. I recover, but just barely. As I almost hit the wall, I stick a foot out and use it as a springboard, leaping back and behind the Orc. I charge a spell I learned called the Oni-Shoti Firestrike: A fire spell that depletes your magicka completely, but almost always kills your opponent.

"See you in Oblivion, s'wit,"

The Orc turns and stares right into my glowing hand. It's the last thing he sees as I unleash the spell into his face. The fire causes his head to explode backward, causing blood, bone, and brain matter to spread along the wall and door behind us.

I feel drained, but I smile and move on. I look somewhat sadly at the blood everywhere, but I have to ignore it. I jump off the stronghold and continue on, wishing I had a magicka potion about now.

Forgive me, my Lady, I tell Loranna back at the Cave. But I had to kill the threatening n'wah.

Loranna closes her eyes, and a strange thing starts to occur ...

Aricyn sees her shaking at first, her belly rising up and down and she shoulders hunched in close to her body. Snorts start forcing themselves through her nose and mouth as she shakes more and more ...

He then pulls her close to him, pressing his lips hard to hers, and kisses her deeply for a very long moment.

Slowly letting go, he grins.

Posted by: Girai_Harkaanius Dec 15 2004, 06:59 AM

Girai stepped into the realm of his birth again, coming back from an experience he could surely not tell if he tried (and would take some time anyway). That did however not matter at all. What mattered was he had the Name, and soon that name would bring to justice the Daedric hand that had caused so much death.

He entered his master's cave and scribbled down the word. It was time for Stendarr's majesty. Mercy had its time, Justice its time. Now was time for Justice. Girai noted the lack of Divine Intervention scrolls in the cave, and shortly after noted the presence of his master asleep in a corner. He didn't need to know about all that had transpired recently (was it recent that he left?).. he would tell him later. He slipped into warmer clothes more suited to the weather of Northern Skyrim and left (noting the still shattered artifact on the floor). Communing with the Spirits never got bland, though the dark ones were perhaps a bit too eccentric... Therogar his mentor would hardly approve of giving a protonymic away to a Daedric worshipper. Nor would anyone else in their sane mind. However the mortal realm hardly warrented sanity.

Loranna blinks, taken by surprise by Aricyn's bold movement ...

Despite what she might have thought, he wasn't simply fierce and rough; there was a gentleness in his kiss that spoke, if not of actual tenderness, then at least of control and understanding, and she could feel her body wanting to respond. It had been so long since she'd had a man kiss her and with her death looming ahead in a few short months, she really didn't want to die pregnant and not having had one last chance at a truly warm bed ...

... However, as Aricyn's kiss began to warm her insides, her mind thought of only one thing - a grinning skull, eyes twin glowing spheres of magic shaped by undying will, musty robes covering fleshless arms and hands as they reached for her face ...

She could share a bed with Aricyn - she might even yet do so, she didn't know. But as much as he excited her body, her heart was left yearning ... for a lich. An undead monster. A creature no one else would think to call anything other than enemy or tool or worse ...

By the time Aricyn has broken the kiss, and asked her "There, doesn't that make everything clearer?" Loranna's thoughts were wrapped as solidly around Dagoth's as they ever had been, and Aricyn can see her eyes glistening with the tears a woman cut off from her loved ones cries.

" ... Yes, it does," Loranna says quietly. thinking to herself I really am not meant to be among normal people after all ...

"Thank you ..."

Oh, forget about it for now...It can wait for another day Thought Dante, rising to his feet and sheathing his sword "Illidan, we should probably start our long Trek to Balmora now" Said Dante, helping Illidan to his feet, the spell still taking slight effects "Very well Dante, Let's go"

The two brothers started Heading to East to the road Leading down to Balmora...passing by numerous adventurers and group members "How woud you feel about doing a favour for the fighters guild Illidan?" asked Dante, looking back at Illidan "Not very good about it act--" Dante cuts him off in mid sentence "Great! now lets get moving" They continue walking to the exit of the campsite.

"Maranda" (oh, this is just getting silly, Meridia, then) took the piece of paper and read it, an anonymous article...

To All Concerned Citizens!
You should be concerned, as tales travel the lands of a Nord outlander travelling around Vvardenfell claiming to be Azura, the Daedra Prince. Evidence has recently surfaced that she is infact a puppet of the Imperials, and is trying to break the Armistice created by the ALMSIVI (Blessed be their Holy Names) and enforce an Imperial rule over Morrowind. This so-called 'vessel' of Azura has no respect for the Tribunal Temple, having desicrated the Temple at Gnisis. She also has no respect for Dunmer customs and way of living. We calls for people to treat this outlander with the respect they have earned - none!

Maranda smiled at this, it seemed like Loranna would not be getting such a good welcome afterall when she arrived...

Seeing Dante and Illidan leaving camp, Teleran decides to quit moping and runs to catch up with the brothers. "Erm, I hope you won't mind if I tag along. Heading to Balmora, right? Of course you are. Where else would you be heading? Hehe." he chuckles nervously.

"So, are you working the guilds for Loranna then?" he blurts, then slaps his head, 'Maybe I shouldn't have said that.' "No hard feelings about the attempted murder right?"

Then fell into step as they followed the path to Balmora.

*

"Sure, you are welcome to travel with us" Replied Illidan smiling "Right Dante?" Dante turned to look at Teleran "Sure, could always use an extra blade incase things go astray" He answered nodding.

The three stepped out of the campsite and made it onto the road "Working the guilds? I guess that's one way you could put it" Laughed Dante "Attempted murder, don't worry about it...do it again but, and I'll have your head" He chuckled slapping Teleran on the back, Illidan looked at him mortified, then followed along.

"An 'extra blade', are you expecting trouble on the way to Balmora then?" Teleran asked, quickly scanning the countryside for potential threats and seeing nothing to alarm him. "Well if you are, I can offer much more than 'an' extra blade." He laughs twirling daggers through his fingers.

"Ofcourse not, but there is always the possibility something could go wrong, and it would be handy to have some Extra help" Exclaimed Dante.

Looking at the blades he said "Good to see you have some note worthy talents" Illidan also saw the daggers and said "Now put those away and have a drink" Said Illidan tossing Dante and Teleran a canteen each "Drink up!"

"Hm..that was the original plan" started Dante "But if it suits you better we could make our way to Ald'Ruhn and catch the silt strider" Dante took a drink from his own canteen "What do you think Illidan?" asked Dante, turning to his brother "Hm, I couldnt care" He said.

"So what will it be Teleran? do you want to catch the silt-strider from Ald'Ruhn?"

"I haven't been as far south as Balmora, in a long time. A few years if I remember right. Say, how many more of these canteens do you have on you?" Teleran says as downs the last of the liquid in the canteen.

Dante glared at Illidan as he edged further and further away from him "Rrrrrrrr...." Dante focused more and really took off down the path and slowly overtook Illidan, He started gaining ground on the distance between him and Teleran.

Elysana got up from her seat. She had been there for hours, refusing to talk to anyone, trying to get her mind sorted out. It was a difficult thing, even for a Queen as strong-willed as she, to go from being a raving lunatic to a woman of strong reason. She worried that she had not interviewed her new spymaster as assiduously as she ought.

As she reached the door to go back inside, her breath fogged the the glass of the window, and formed words:

Elysana stood back, surprised. She took another breath, and fogged the window again.

The Isle of Artaeum, Summurset

B walked out of the tower and headed down toward the gardens. Ever since he was a little mer, he enjoyed walking through the idyllic gardens and orchards of Artaeum.

He had to get outside. Being cooped up in that musty, old tower all day drove one to madness: A visit with Sheogorath would have to wait. It was a beautiful day, and of course, it wasn’t raining. It never seemed to rain on the Isle.

Stopping in the middle of the flora, B sat down and looked up at the sky. It was so easy to shut off the outside world while on the Isle. Things seemed to progress at their own pace here. One could easily become lost in thought.

Lord Indarys;

QUOTE(Dagoth Lich @ Dec 15 2004, 04:53 PM)

After seeing the thoughts and images in Loranna's mind, Dagoth begins to feel warm and content.

'Tis hard to believe that I could have left such an impression on Loranna's mind....... but should I mention that I was watching the whole time?'

However, since Dagoth was still alittle surprised with the thoughts that were in his love's mind....... he fogot to hide his thoughts from anyone who could listen in.

*

Loranna's thoughts grow quiet for a moment ...

... We will have to talk later, she tells Dagoth gently, about what boundraries of privacy we each feel we need. I know if I'm not careful I'll forget there are supposed to be any and that's ... well, probably not worth it in the long run. But there you go; I love Aricyn as a companion and I find him physically attractive; I might even ask to share his bed sometime, but my deepest feelings remain for you.

Loranna remains quiet for the rest of the night, and in the morning, says " ... Let's start heading on our way ..."

*hearing this, Erenius stands and makes ready his things*

"At last...we begin our movement," Erenius mutters as others around him do the same.

*After a short while, his guar is packed and Erenius wanders about, helping those who need it to pack*

'I understood that already. If I didn't..... I would have probably melted his face. I am sorry for that intrusion...... but your thoughts were very..... interesting. I understand you wanting to do..... well you know, with Aricyn, and I can accept that that is one thing I can't fullfill for you. Just do what it takes to be happy, cause when your happy, I am too.'

Elben stumbled a little as he struggled to reach Loranna through her followers. He wore a tabard with a large rose of Wayrest embroidered on it. Lord Liris and his guards were with her. Elben pointed towards them and cried, “Look at you!

He paused, taking a deep breath, perhaps he had a little too much to drink.

“Do you know what we’re following?!” the guardsman yelled pointing out Loranna, “A demon, I know I was with Lord Ciel when we chased her across the snowy wastes of Skyrim. I saw what she did! Children and women and brave men, all dead! All burned! Now we’re following around this monster who would be a god and treating with her like she was our better! We should throw her in shackles and have her paraded about before these people she would rule! We should do this in the name of our good kingdom! All hail the Queen of Wayrest a true and noble sovereign! All hail Her Majesty, Queen Elsyana.”

Next to Loranna, Liris takes a sharp intake of breath, shocked. He placed a hand on his belt and gives the guard a cold stare. The other hand began summoning guards to subdue the drunken fool.

Quicky, Aricyn steps forward.

"Yes!" he shouts, "Yes, children, women, and brave men, all dead and burned! The people of Skyrim! The ancient enemies of those who stand behind her now! Tell me, who here finds tragedy in this news? You there, Ashander, do you?"

The Ashlander spat upon the ground.

"Or how about you, dear Guarherd? Do you feel sorry for the Nords?"

The young Dunmer looked up, frowning with prejudice.

"Dear man," Aricyn says to the guard, "go sleep off your madness." He nods to Liris to escort him away.

Loranna frowns a little as the drunken Elben rants at her, remembering especially the children torn to pieces by guards because of her foolishness.

Allie's appearance draws her attention for a split second, enough tmie for Aricyn to start making his speech; Loranna raises an eyebrow at Allie and thinks to herself ... No one ever did promise any of this was going to be easy ...

Quietly, she says to Liris " ... Keep him and the crowd safe from one another; I'll speak to him myself ..."

She looks to Elben, her eyes shifting. "Sir, peace; ranting won't avenge or honor the dead you saw in Skyrim. Nor will proclaiming yourself the servant of Wayrest in King Helseth's lands, nor reminding the Dunmer of ancient grudges."

After what seemed like countless hours of running, the three had finally mad it to Balmora "What a sight..." Exclaimed Illidan, smiling brightly. Dante turned to face Teleran "Well, I bid you good day friend, we have some buisness to attend to." With that Dante and Illidan made their way down a street towards the fighters guild.

"Uhh....Dante, I think I'm going to go refill these canteens" said Illidan sheepishly, "Very well, I'l see you later then" Replied Dante making his way up the stairs and into the fighters guild.

"Ah, greetings Traveler!" Shouted the nord woman as Dante entered the front door "What brings you to our fine little guild?" Dante paused for a moment, then began to speak "No doubt you have heard the rumours of the Woman carrying Azura? well I wish to make her passage here as safe as possible"

Eydis fire-eye stared at Dante for a moment "What's your name Dunmer?" Dante stepped forward a bit "Dante" was the reply he gave.

"Very well....Dante, this guild is actually rather neutral on this entire subject but we would bewilling to help your cause, but it would cost you" Dante tilted his head in curiosity "What would you have me do guildmaster?" Eydis Fire-eye began to chuckle a little" Theres a job that nobody else has wanted to touch, apparently a Daedric tomb has suddenly popped up east of Balmora..I need you to go down there and clean it up a little." She said grinning.

"Very well, I'll be on my way then..." Replied Dante, swivelling on one foot then heading out the door I hope I don't mess this up.... he thought to himself, shortly answered by

The streets of Balmora smelled of spices and grilling meat. The townfolk gathered in wonder, watching wagonload after wagonload of foodstuff carting through to the Hlaluu stronghold. The finest cooks of Vvardenfell came from Vivec, from Caldera, from Ald’ruhn, to prepare this feast for the King of Morrowind.

They did not know when he would be arriving, but it would be soon, and there was so much to do.

Elben took a deep breath and was about to cry out a return. He tensed face a little red from drink suddenly turned from anger too shock. He looked down to his chest where the rose he wore was growing significantly darker, a steel point blossomed outwards. Mouth lolling open Elben fell to his knees revealing one of Liris’s guardsmen behind him. Planting a booted foot on to the dying man’s back and gave a sharp kick dislodging his sword. Elben collapsed into the dirt mumbling incoherently for a moment as a pool of red spread beneath him. He took his last breath and then expired still retaining the look of utter shock on his face. The guard that had done the deed raised his sword over his head and cried “AZURA!” soon the other guards were waving their weapons over their heads chanting the same. They strip their gear of anything bearing a rose and begin to pile it on the dead man’s corpse. Tabards, tunics, wooden shields, anything, it’s all dumped onto the impromptu pyre that was forming.

“My Lady,” Liris says turning to Loranna, his tone determined he speaks loudly, “You have our devotion, let us not trouble over this foolish drunk. He was spouting heresy and praising the evil woman who would see you dead or use you as a tool. Let the crowd enjoy the moment and then we can move on to Balmora.”

The pyre burned bright and hot as Liris’s guards and members of the crowd stood around still chanting. It was a small celebration on the road side. The mob, now frenzied with support for Loranna, set out once more for Balmora.

She considers reaching out to Allie, and the Nord woman can feel Loranna's thoughts almost brush against her own, but Loranna demurs. ... No; I already know how I feel about this; I don't need to seek anyone's approval or scorn to tell me that.

Those who turn their coats once, will turn them a second time. And a third, and so on.

The Dunmer were in no danger of forgetting this; they didn't trust their own family members, much less outlanders.

Allerleirauh looked at Lord Liris coolly. She was thinking of Ciel, an honorable man. Liris would choose the winning side as he saw it. It seemed that at present, Azura's side looked strongest.

"Mmm...that smells good...what is it?"

"It's a secret..."

"O come on please tell me!"

"No..."

*Orion sits down next to the fire where Angelique is busily stirring the pot of stewish stuff*

"So who exactly are you?" Orion inquired

"By trade I am a shaftspinner, a specialized archer, but lately I've been doing some more lucrative work"

*Orion still gazed at her while she went about busily, talking while working*

"What kind of things?"

"Well.....I've been gathering quite a bit of fees of late and so I inquired about artifact laundering and it is quite fulfilling"

"What types of artifacts?"

"Many types...Daedric, Dwemeri...I have a very rare artifact which was given to me for free...for they said it had lost its enchantment...I think it's called the Volendrung?"

"Let me see it" said Orion, then remembering his manners "Please!"

*Angelique went over to a blanket and unwrapped the great ebony hammer*

"I can't find anyone who wants it...and...its so heavy to lug around...would you like it?"

"Ay me...I would...thank you...." he said as he recieved the gift and slung it over his back. "and now I must give you a gift"

*He reaches into his bag and pulls out a black chain*

"This was my mother's...I would like you to have it"

"Tha..thank you...its beautiful"

*For moments the two teenagers stare into each others eyes...then suddenly a bird chirps, breaking the silence*

"Yes well....umm may I ask where are you going?" Orion questions

"I figure I'll go to Balmora...I heard there is to be a great feast there..."

"Really...well may I travel with you?"

"Sure!"

*And so the pair pack up the camp and head out towards Balmora.*

Note: The following preperations for the feast is not in simultaneous time with the rest of the party.

*Celezar sat within his steaming bath, the sweet oils he had washed himself with had made him feel relaxed and nourished, a trance of happiness that he had not felt in a long time. So long, in fact, that it was a little too much for him to experience. Celezar spasmed once, he wheezed a bit, clutching his mutilated chest in pain*

"What is this?!"

*Celezar spasmed once more, his body rocking violently in pain, his half digested heart giving out rapidly*

"Cant....ugh! Breathe!"

*Celezar wheezed agonizingly, his body now uncontrollably spasming, splashing warm water everywhere, all the while the voice in his head continued to speak*

"Oh dear lord, Celezar! Look what you've gone and done now! We're both going to die now, you should've known better, you clumsy fool!"

*Celezar gasped for breath, sucking in nothing, only closing up his breathing passages, silently screaming for help, the voice in his head continued*

"Well then, I cant say this was a pleasant little visit, now can I? Bon voyage, Celezar, see you in Aetherius!"

*With that, Celezar slipped under the warm bathing waters, dead, silent at last, or so it seemed. Next to the bathing hole there was a great puff of smoke, emerging from which was a strange little man, a Breton. This Breton seemed to be a well aged man, his wrinkled face shrouded in a great puffy white beard and matching hair, his charming face addorned with two great golden eyes which gleamed arrogantly. The man was dressed quite regaly, addorned in great puffy noble's clothes and his feet were addorned in curled purple slippers*

"Well done, Celezar, you fool! It seems you, yourself has even forgotten your own body!"

"What is this, has puppet Celezar been spared?"

"No, you merry fool! This is your body, it seems as though you've forgotten somewhat where your mind belongs. Now then, at least now we are more presentable to these Hlaalu beasts."

"The Hlaalu puppets! What will they think when they see us! Oh dear, oh dear..."

"Oh my...Never fear, master has sent me from the heavens for a reason, Celezar, a genious such as myself shall wip up a solution in no time!"

*Meanwhile, out in Balmora, citizens from all corners of town where setting up festivities for the night. Houses were being cleaned out for private parties, tents were being pitched in the streets for gambling and such, all the while great chefs worked away into the night, their meal's great scent spilling into the streets. All awaited the arrival of their honored guest now*

Azrael had arrived back in Balmora, and was greeted by the comforting sight of the familiar guild hall. He took a moment to look over the room that was attached to the small alcove housing the guild guide, which he had only just procured praxis of. He felt the strongest sense of nostalgia, wishing that he had never left the place where he now stood.

"I have to get going, I must move, and find Eliin", he thought.

Suddenly, he felt woozy, and even before his vision began to cloud, he knew what was beginning to transpire, and so fell to the floor to prevent any further damage to himself.

"Azrael, I see that you realize now what must happen each time I speak to you. I apologize, my son. . .". These words resounded in his head clearly, shrill on his mind.

"My. . .my father?! Father! I have come back for you! I have come back. . ."

The voice continued in his mind,
"Azrael, I realize this; I can see inside you, and I know that you wish nothing more than to come to a realization, one involving your mother and I. I promised you an answer, and your answer is this. . .Follow this incarnate; she is a key to the restoration of our people here, and being one of them, one of us, you must do what you can to aid her. If she fails, I fear there is no chance left to speak of. . ."

"But, but father. . .", Azrael thought aloud, trying to supplicate to his father a sincere want for answers, "I need to know now, I want to know NOW. I've known nothing of you for so long, please, don't do this. . ."

The voice uttered one last sentence into Azrael's head, before fading once more:

Do not let this incarnate fail. . ..

Comfortable now with being overtaken in such a way by this voice, Azrael stood up, allowing the mist to clear, and his vision to return.

"What must I do? What must I really do?", the Dunmer thought, not realizing that he was speaking aloud until he heard a voice from across the room. He looked up, the last of his clouded line of sight returning to it's former self, to see Eliin standing in a doorway. "Azrael, what you must do is come and speak with me", the Altmer said, smiling at him warmly, "It's been a day, why have you returned?"

Azrael walked hastily to the elder mage, embracing him tightly, nearly cracking the old mer's back in the process. He released Eliin, and unleashed his own smile, "Eliin, my old friend, we must speak of certain developements."

Dante swiftly stepped outside of the guild and stood on the steps a moment, concentrating. Suddenly a strong gust of wind came blowing to one side of Dante, sending his tattered cape up into the air, making this scene look rather epic for anyone watching.

He walked down the stairs onto the street and outside the gate of Balmora, to complete this task given to him. The walk was rather short for what he had expected it to of been, but his trip had just been made harder as a mountain bloked the path "Ugh..." He moaned out loud clasping both his hands to the steep mound of rock he was now beginning to slowly make his way up.

He unsteadily made it to the top of the mountain and stood there, staring down at the tiny Daedric tomb below him, A sought of uneasy peace fell over him as he watched it, in all of it's simplicity. Unfortunately his moment was shortly put to a stop as a cliffracer swooped up behind him and whipped him on the back with its tail.

"AAAaaaaahhhhhhh!!!!" Was the general sound anyone as far as the city walls of Balmora could hear. "Stupid, damn cliffracers, why I oughta" He grumbled climbing to his feet, his Indoril armour now coated with ashen grey. He patted some dust off his greaves and looked up, to find a daedric spear at his throat and a smiling Dremora holding it.

Occupation: Private Bodyguard

Jekk roughed up his red hair as he looked at the map. I don't see where Balmora is hmm He serached the map again If I'm right it should be... Jekk looked up from the map turning his gaze to an entrance gate, dumbfounded Jekk walked thourgh the gate passing the post "Balmora" There was a large amount of noise, mainly from the scuffling of people shopping or walking around, there were guards on every corner. Jekk saw many couriers walking around delivering food, gifts, and clothes Jekk saw many of them they enter a large building. Jekk was in town looking for an opeing job, Balmora was sure the place for starting a new career. He shined his orchish cuirass with a rag which he took at from his bag. With a sigh he left into town looking for a drink.

Loranna remains eloquently quiet as she reads the leaflet Allie hands her ...

Hurry up and wait; someone should write a sermon praising quiet hours someday, she mutters, more to herself than to Allie.

Another death in the name of Azura...But not a life taken by Azura herself. Was there still hope?
She draws her blade, and produces from her pack a stone, which she sends singing across the magically-endowed metal, mindlessly sharpening the already keen blade.
She could hear talk of Balmora...

QUOTE(Allerleirauh @ Dec 15 2004, 06:03 PM)

An unusually short person wearing a netch leather helmet and breastplate gave Arynel a brief, formal bow, and followed Solin. She had to trot to keep up with him.

*

"Who has the paths brought to my doorstep this day?" Arynel asked.

The Breton continued forward towards crowed.

How strange how strange
The road goes ever onward
How strange how strange
The paths traced by threads of time
And always ever sunward...

QUOTE(Solin @ Dec 15 2004, 08:01 PM)

Meanwhile, Liris had departed the mob with a pair of his guards.  The Lord had intended to discuss taking up a new banner with his servant.  However, plans must have changed as he returned to the crowd, less his guards, running as if for his life.

*

A moment behind the panting Liris, the object of his fears rounds the hill. A black cloak, wrapped tightly around a form like a man, but as big as a door, strides forward, black-mailed boots thundering on the ground.

One armored hand emerges from the cloak, dragging one of Liris's guards by the head, leaving a bloody trail. The other ebony-encased hand is raised, pointing at Liris.

A deep, quiet voice issues from the dark hood,"Lord Liris Inwald, I come for you. Today is the day appointed for your death."

*Celezar stroked his puffy beard for a while, deep in thought*

"First, we must dispose of this foul creature, lest any Hlaalu beast suspects murder or worse!"

*Celezar shuffled towards the corpse of his puppet, draggin it out of the warm waters of the bathing hole and burying it under a mess of clean towels. Celezar then sniffled a bit*

"Oh please, Celezar, he was on the virge of death as it was. Though, I must say, he made quite an excelent puppet, shame about the whole digestion mess, though..."

"Puppet Celezar is still awaiting Celezar's plan to remove ourselves from this stage...."

"Ah yes, how to get out of here alive, that is the question isn't it? Now then, the important thing is that we've begun the feast, I can smell it in the air...Perhaps not but the nobles have laid eyes upon us, quickly now, before the guild master returns to check on us!"

*With that, the old man shuffled out the door, down the Hlaalu hallways and towards the main entrance, only to be stopped by a sly looking noble*

"Excuse me, I dont beleive you've had the proper invitation, kind sir."

*Celezar fumbled with his beard nervously*

"Have you not heard? I have brought news from my master of a great feast, I am the errand deliverer of Helseth!"

"Ah, I apologize sir, I must have mistaken you for a mere thief. Forgive me, the guild master had told me that the erran runner of Helseth was a vile creature, imagine!"

*Celezar winked as he hurried out the door*

"Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, they say!"

Allie reacted a moment after Loranna's voice entered her head. She froze, and lifted her head like a dog who has seen something at a distance.

Loranna, be very, very still. He says he's not here for us. Let's not change that.

Despite herself, Loranna becomes very still, encouraging any within her mental range to not cross paths with the new stranger. Old habits die hard.

... Who is that? she asks Allie, her arms cradling her belly.

The nord woman jumps, and nearly drops her weapon at the sound of the voice.
"This isn't good..." she mutters, as she carefully walks closer to the disturbance.

The small person emitted a tiny squeak, like a mouse that's been stepped on. She grasped Solin's arm.

"Master Arynel," she said (and here he recognized Doll's voice), "I've heard about that huge black man! Oh, please be careful."

Posted by: Teleran Dec 16 2004, 02:26 AM

After leaving the company of Dante and Illidan, Teleran walked along the riverbank he croosed to the east and came upon the South Wall Cornerclub.

'Here already, this town's gotten smaller since the last time I was here. Might as well go in and introduce myself,' he thought, 'Haven't needed to steal anything more than drink in years. I wonder if the Guild will just accept an order not to steal from Loranna and her followers. Somehow, I think I'll have to steal something before the day is done. Hopefully, it's something big.' For some reason that thought gave him more joy then he had felt in a long time.

With that he walked into the corner club and walked towards the back of the club, past a Bosmer, who attempted to pick his pocket and to a Khajiit dressed in chitin. "Sugar-Lips Habasi, I presume." He smiled, "I come to offer my services in exchange for a promise to refrain from stealing from Loranna and her followers."

"Warm day to you. I am Sugar-Lips Habasi, and who are you Dunmer with not right eyes?" replied Habasi.

"Teleran,"said Teleran with a swirl of his cloak, "Tell your friend, the Bosmer(Arathor is it?), he's welcome to keep that dagger. Now, before we get down to business, how about a drink."

He pulled out a the Arathor's purse of coin's. "A round of flin, a gift of our mutual friend." He said, laughing as the Arathor's face flushed.

"Friend, mayhap we will have a use for you," purred Habasi.

'Something doesn't feel right about that stranger....... but I think it is wise to leave 'um be. I don't want to cause any trouble this time around.'

Posted by: w0nders Dec 16 2004, 02:28 AM

Numerous emotions rushed through Dantes head as the Dremora pulled back the spear, The main one probably being fear. You don't wanna go out like this do you? Not without getting more answers eh? well fight! As soon as the voice was heard in his head, Dante dropped down onto one knee, letting the spear sail over head and lodging itself into the mountain behind him Your right, lets show these Daedra what we can do! Shouted Dante, unsheathing his blade and cleaving the Dremoras kneecaps, sending it crashing to the floor in pain.

Dante now panting heavily, impaled The dremora with his own blade, sending it back to Oblivion. It would seem that all the comotion had attracted a scamp to come see what was happening, without thinking Dante dislodged the spear and sent it screaming towards the scamp, impaling it through it's head.

"Ugh...Let's just get this job over with" He said to himself running inside the tomb, blade still in hand. Upon entering he slowly made his way down the stairs, there was a tiny room with a door at the back of it, Dante stepped into the centre of this room and looked around, expecting an attack at any moment. "Looks like this room is actually empty" He said aloud heading to the door on the far side, wiping sweat from his face.

Just as he was about to reach the door, a Golden Saint Leapt from an overhead balcony, one which, Dante had failed to notice. "RRrrrrrr....." Dante lept foreward, sword overhead towards the golden saint, His strike was easily countered as the Golden Saint scored a hit with it's glass axe on Dante's Cuirass, luckily...his armour sustained the hit.

The battle continued on for atleast five minutes, seeming like a good few years, The Golden Saint swung at Dante's feet but Dante lept above the strike and held his own sword ready for a final attack. He landed back down safely on the ground, slashing vertically across the golden Saints chest, he scurried back a few paces expecting it to die but The Golden Saint merely cocked its head at Dante.

"Oh c'mon!" He shouted rather disgruntled, The golden saint thought nothing of it and took a step towards Dante but suddenly stopped a second after. Suddenly without warning the Golden saint fell into two seperate pieces on the floor, dead. "Aw, thats nasty" Dante exclaimed stepping over the corpse and opening the door to the next room.

QUOTE(Anghardel67 @ Dec 16 2004, 10:10 AM)

"Certain developments? This means good news, I hope!" replied Eliin

Liris skided to a halt reaching the crowd, then having turned about he yelled, “Guards!”

The guards formed a small wall between Liris as the newcomer. The lord straightened his clothing and smoothed his hair. He yelled to the black clad creature, “Now that I am at a safe distance, would you perchance tell me why you are going to die today?”

Off to a side Solin reached down and gave the girl a reassuring pat on the shoulder.

“I’m sure he has not come for us,” he said.

Doll pointed at the massive black figure chasing Liris. "I've only ever heard of him. He's big and old and scary and lives by himself; the General used to tell ghost stories about him to scare Tris and me. They call him Leseth, and he hunts from the Void."

Elsewhere: The child has said it, Allerleirauh said in her mind, answering Loranna.

Putting herself off to the side of Liris, Maji speaks.
"Excuse me sir, this is the land of the Grea House Redoran, and house law states that any business on the behalf of other provinces must be conducted through the Legion, or have the emporer's permission. This execution can not be conducted at this point in time, without the right paperwork."

Arynel turned and eyed the dark figure and Liris. The Breton calls out with a voice of thundering multitudes.

All feet that tread down dark paths must cease
The hunter to the prey release
All sword and spell be put away
Let hault this deed the hand to stay....

The Guild Master leads Celezar into the Dinning Hall. Much had been done in such a short time - many decorations were placed throughout the room, and places had already been set for the expected guests. A few entertainers practiced in the corners while servants frantically kept setting up.

"As you can smell, the food is being prepared as we speak, with a main course of every Dunmer's favourite dish - Horse imported from the Imperial Provence. A few local foods are also being prepared by the finest Chefs in all Vvardenfell, and a small parade has been arranged in the main street for the, err, less 'fortunate' townsfolk. Feel free to have a look around and make sure everything is fit for Royalty! I won't be far if you need anything."
