Hi all,
In the first part of the RP, Loranna awoke from a strange dream to go and meet
her adoring public, stoked to the proper state of fervor by Aricyn and Liris.
Despite some naysaying by Allerleirauh and others, the majority of the Dunmer
present accepted Loranna's claims as Azura initially and took her to the
Said miracle started off slow - healing and restorative feelings from Loranna.
Just as people began to grumbe that they'd been had however, Azura's voice came
forth ...
Now, the fake ash mask is in ruins, the Outlanders in Gnisis have all be driven
to confess their crimes, and Azura offers them her mercy - to drink her tears
and have their atonement come all at once or to be banished from Morrowind.
As always, mirc ChatSpike channel #Loranna_RP is our chatroom; come and be part
of the backstage adventure

Various Outlanders approach Loranna hesitantly, cupping shaking hands to catch
her tears and lick them off their fingers; they each cry out and look as though
the prison guard's lash has kissed their back and their limbs have felt the
weight of the stonebreaker's hammers. One poor soul collapses and doesn't get
back up ...
Those who said they'd rather not are already being roughly taken out of the
temple, the Dunmer 'escorting' them restrained from hitting them only by a
whispered word reminding them My judgement, remember ...

Dante watches as the outlanders are dragged screaming and
pleading for forgiveness from the Dunmer. Another young dunmer man notices
Dante and strolls on over to him "Here, you dont look to busy...take this
outlander filth into the temple" Said the dunmer kicking an Altmer in the
ribs, he quickly runs off to grab another person. "Please, grant me
mercy!" Shouted the Altmer. "Only Azura can grant you mercy now"
He answered, thinking back to what she had said earlier, With that Dante
grabbed him by the collar of his shirt and began dragging him towards the
temple.

Maranda drew the blade before her, the first time she had drawn
ti from its sheath... a darkness consumed the blade, seeingly sucking the light
out of the room...
What is that mysterious blade?
asked Shardie
'This is the Blade of the Fallen God, a weapon that can slay even the greatest
of the Daedra...'
You... you plan to slay Azura?
Shardie said in shock
'No, not yet... we do not posess all the tools to complete things properly...'
she sheathed the sword... 'you do not need to know anything else, for your own
safety... Azura has powerful Allies, we do not... the less you know, the less
likely that one of these enemies will slay you... but always remember this...
we are working for the greater good of all of Nirn, unlike those selfish people
who follow Loranna's charisma to thier graves, and those graves of everyone in
Nirn... we have justice on our side...'

Arynel stood next to the temple, invisible. The Breton's eyes
took in the people, begging for mercy, begging for forgivenes.
"Punished for what?" He whispered. "Petty theivery? These are
not crimes worthy of such punishment, these deeds are not worthy of such
penance."
The Breton's eyes took in the people, their begging denies, their forgiveness
not granted.
The Breton's eyes grew wet, and he wept.
Oh bitter day the path doth bring
Lament lament the coming glean
Oh bitter weave the thread doth sew
Lament lament the coming scorn
Bitter lament the sweetest tears
I drink my own but am not fullfilled...

Teleran hangs back among the dunmer, his cowl pulled forward so
that noone can see his eyes.
Inwardly tormented he debates his guilt or innocence with himself," I may
have committed crimes, but only stealing, and never an inordinate amount from
one. And its not like I targeted Dunmer, I stole equally from any who were
inattentive. Yes she wants repentance for crimes against the Dunmer as a
people. I have never done anything like that. Besides, I'm very good at being a
thief, very proud of the fact that I have never been caught in the act nor
suspected of the crime if it is discovered. These are virtues, not vices. Any
Dunmer would agree. I'll be damned if she forces me to leave my home for not
repenting though. I AM INNOCENT."

The Cyrodiil, truly near to eternal death in Oblivion, stared
the demon of Azura in its eyes. He spoke (if you could call it that) and the
Daedra acknowledged him. Silence followed. The Demon spoke again. "If your
fool-quest is carried out mortal, know that the Wheel will simply choose a new
Prince. You have nothing to gain here." Girai shook his head. The Daedra
looked at him in scorn.. but nodded.

Dur’el and Allimar had been dragged to the temple by a group of
Dunmers. Dur’el thinks back to all the Dunmer he’s killed, and wronged. The
pain throbs over him like a beating heart of torture.
Dur’el barely hangs on to consciousness while, Allimar continues to confess
petty sins against Dunmers. They are dropped off in a long line of agonizing,
sinners, that wait for their turn with Loranna.
Pain fills Dur’el’s every thought, but in-between the pain one name comes to
mind...
...Kasha
“KASHA!” Dur’el yells out in pain, more then recognizance.
Kasha finally sees Dur’el and breaks though the crowd of angry, Dunmer and
sinners to him. She drops down to both knees and holds his head in her lap.
“... S-Sorry... I”m so... sorry.” Dur’el says through clenched teeth.
The incredible pain continues, causing Dur’el’s vision to blur. Kasha’s heart
reaches out to Dur’el and she wishes there was something she could do to help
him. This was the man she loved, and he was dying of pain right in her arms,
and she could do nothing about it. This feeling of helplessness dug up
something deep in Kasha and she did something that she hasn’t done in a long
time... she cried.
Kasha couldn’t even remember the last time she had cried. Being a Dunmer, Kasha
strongly believed in being strong, and never showing weakness, but this was a
time when she couldn’t help it. Dur’el was dying she knew this. The pain he was
feeling would kill him before he got to Loranna. The pain was literally killing
him.
“I’m sorry too. I wish... I wish...” Kasha started, but Dur’el took his hand
and covered her mouth.
Dur’el sensed the distress in Kasha, and with his last bit of energy he leaned
up and kissed her tear, soaked cheeks. Dur’el then collapsed in Kasha’s arms.
She dropped down and silently began to weep.

He stopped before Allerleirauh.

Allimar’s petty crimes had been forgiven with Loranna tears, and
he crawled over to Kasha grimacing like the aftershocks were still with him.
Allimar thanked the Gods that his crimes were small and insignificant, or he
would have ended up like Dur’el. Kasha wept over Dur’el as Allimar put his
chubby hand on Kasha’s shoulder. Kasha defiantly shrugs his hand off, and turns
to him. Looking for anyone to blame Kasha lashes out at the dumbstruck Bosmer.
“This is your fault! You made him this way! You were a bad influence on him!
Get away from me, I don’t ever want to see you again, you fat s’wit!” Kasha
yells.
Allimar stares emotionless at Kasha. “I’m gonna say this and then I’m gonna
go.” Allimar says threw gritted teeth.
“Dur’el was my best-friend. I love...” Allimar pauses. “...Loved him like a
brother, regardless of what race he was. For you to sit here and say that to
me... it really hurts. You know as well as I do that Dur’el chose his OWN
lifestyle. But If you wanna blame me for his mistakes, go ahead, but that’s not
gonna solve anything and its not gonna help you sleep at night.”
Allimar starts to find some strength to leave, as Kasha slowly lowers her head
and begins to weep again.
“I’m sorry.” Kasha blurts out with her head still down. “I’m sorry... I was
just looking for someone to blame.”
Suddenly a groggy voice emerges from Kasha’s lap.
“What are you apologizing for?” The voice hesitates. “He is a fat s’wit.”
Dur’el says smiling.
“Dur’el, you’re alive!” Kasha and Allimar say in unison.
The party shares a hug as Dur’el screams.
“Hey, watch it! Get off me, Allimar! Kasha can hug, you cant!”

Kasha walks while, Dur’el and Allimar limp to an inn. Dur’el thinks
about todays events and how happy he is to have two people that care for him as
much as Kasha, and Allimar do.
Dur’el smirks and thinks to himself. “Why wouldn’t they love me?... I’m me.”
Dur’el’s smile grows even bigger and he looks at Kasha, who smiles back.
Kasha walks, stares, and smiles silently at Dur’el and a old saying pops into

You don’t know what you got till it gone.
Kasha smiles and playfully, walks closer to Dur’el.
Allimar never wanted to experience pain like that again, but he would go

”The taste of Nord tears isn’t too great.”

Kasha’s mouth drops open.
“I don’t know what he’s talking about.” Dur’el says making rude gestures at
Allimar.
“I cant believe you lied to me about smoking.” Kasha says hurt.
“Alright maybe I did smoke... but I didn’t inhale.” Dur’el assures.
“Oh, give me a break...” Kasha starts.
They all continue talking as they head to the inn.

Allerleirauh listened without comment; her thoughts were elsewhere. What
exactly did she plan to do, to stop the Dunmer worship of Azura?
She saw people worshipping, after a fashion; but for the most part, this was
not true worship. The hearts of the Dunmer were the same as they ever
had been, caught up in the petty affairs of the moment. Vivec had known how to
play such people. The shrine pilgrimage was a tool he had used, to divert the
stream of their carnality into a course that would fertilize the land and not
destroy it. Azura had, if anything, diverted them into a new course. She had
not touched them on a spiritual level.
She tried to feel sorry for the foreigners, as Arynel had; then gave it up as a
lost cause. Arynel, had, perhaps, a greater nature than she. It wasn't in her
nature to pity them. They had committed crimes according to the laws of the mud
and been punished according to the laws of the mud.
She did wonder, though, what would happen next.

"Just a little extra food and a few extra blankets for cushioning my bed
here," she tells him. "And a change of clothes for
tomorrow. My baby and I should be fine with that."
Mentally, Lord Liris hears Loranna say ... And, you're welcome my Lord; and
also, thank you. I ... apologize for the nature of today's events; next
time hopefully it won't be so rough on you and your men ...
The Lord from Wayrest blushed a moment and then bowed.
"I'll have the things brought at once," he said.
He motioned to the men present and said, "Guard the entrances, I don't
want our Lady troubled by the hecklers in the crowd earlier."
He bowed a second time as he left through the exit near Solin, running off to
find Faril.

"Sir," she said, leaning up to speak near his
ear, and plucking at his arm. "Sir, shouldn't you go someplace and rest?
I have your money, I can get a room for you."
The blank faced mask looked down at the young girl.
"A room? I suppose, there is no need to pay for me, though," the
Dunmer behind the mask said, "I cannot help but shake the feeling that I
am missing something. It's there yet I cannot grasp it."
Solin shook his head trying to clear his mind. Bits of ash that clung to his
hood fell to the floor. "To the trade house then I suppose," he said
letting the girls tugging guide him.

QUOTE(Allerleirauh @ Dec 11 2004, 06:09 AM)
Allerleirauh listened without comment; her thoughts were
elsewhere. What exactly did she plan to do, to stop the Dunmer worship of
Azura?
She saw people worshipping, after a fashion; but for the most part,
this was not true worship. The hearts of the Dunmer were the same as
they ever had been, caught up in the petty affairs of the moment. Vivec had
known how to play such people. The shrine pilgrimage was a tool he had used, to
divert the stream of their carnality into a course that would fertilize the
land and not destroy it. Azura had, if anything, diverted them into a new
course. She had not touched them on a spiritual level.
She tried to feel sorry for the foreigners, as Arynel had; then gave it
up as a lost cause. Arynel, had, perhaps, a greater nature than she. It wasn't
in her nature to pity them. They had committed crimes according to the laws of
the mud and been punished according to the laws of the mud.
She did wonder, though, what would happen next.
... One thing, that occurs to me Allie, Loranna says quietly. I'm on
a strict time limit; after Hogithum, it's over for me, and Azura either leaves
the field or has to find a new playing piece. And unless you get killed between
now and then ... you're still going to be around, after me.

Aricyn, noticed the flickering light of fire streaming in
through the window of the temple, where there should only be starlight. Worried
that something might have been destroyed this time after all, he excused
himself from the crowd of priests and stepped outside.
The locals had built a bonfire, a huge one. Watching, Aricyn saw that they were
carrying from the tradehouse stores, from their homes, and from the shops,
anything that was imported from outside Morrowind. Clothing, carpets, kegs of
Cyrodillic brandy, silverware, heavy wooden furniture, all went to feed the
great fire. All things foreign would burn tonight.
Tomorrow, they would move on.

Doll had to push past a crowd of Dunmer who seemed to be robbing the
tradehouse. The mood of the crowd still bothered her. For the moment, they
seemed to be heeding Loranna's warning to abide by her justice, but like all
mobs, they might turn on a dime.
She took some of Solin's coin and bought herself a netch leather helmet and a
breastplate. The breastplate didn't really fit, but she wore it anyway.
"Now we match!" she said to Solin.
There were rooms at the Inn now. Loranna's party had moved into the temple. She
showed her passive charge where his room was, and wondered if Solin really saw
anything of what was happening around them. Where was he, really?

Dur’el sits on the top of his hotel, in deep thought. He almost
died today. Scratch that... he did die today. When he passed out he was in a
black, empty, cold space.
“Is that what its like to die?” Dur’el thinks. “When I was there, I
was there... but I felt nothing. No heart, no body, and no soul.”
Dur’el pauses his thought and looks out over the barren, dry, Gnisis, land.
“Could my religion be wrong? Where was paradise? Where was the land of
peace?” Dur’el shakes his head. “No, that can’t be it... it must be me.
I made that black void for myself.”
Dur’el glances into the night sky and thinks... “You reep what you sow.”
Dur’el sighs. “Well if that’s the case some things have to change.”
Allimar suddenly appears on the room and catches his breath at the top.
“What you doing up here, D?” Al says trying to catch his breath.
“Nothing.” Dur’el says quietly. “Nothing...”

As Azrael ran back to the guild, he heard more shouting, and
turned to see the Nord woman being taken to the Temple by the large gentleman
whom he had inquired the nature of the gathering from. He observed a larger
group of people still, gathering about her, looking weakly into her eyes, and
he, disgusted, and scared, proceeded through the Guild Hall door.
"Adriana!", he yelled, slamming the door shut behind him, causing the
entire room to rattle, "Adriana!"
The graceful Breton woman glided up the set of stairs leading to the room he
found himself standing in, slightly unnerved by the yelling of the Dunmer,
"Azrael, I would ask that you remain quiet while in the hall; there are
members working on various guild tasks in each room, and we cannot have them
disturbed by such cacophonous racket." "Many apologies,
Mistress," Azrael replied, "But I have some rather. . .disturbing
news for you."
The woman's brow furrowed with as she began to contemplate the insinuations of
such a statement. She stared, emotionlessly, at Azrael, and spoke,
"Azrael, you sound as though you bring me back most important news, and
so, out with it, if you would."
Azrael began to explain to the woman what he had seen, of his running outside
towards a crowd of people exiting the tradehouse, the natures of these
characters, and what he had finally heard, in a claim by one to be the
incarnate of the Goddess of Dawn and Dusk, Azura. As he went on with his story
the Breton's stare became more and more intense, as she recounted all the
information in her head, "So, it is true afterall," she thought
aloud.
She allowed Azrael to continue, until he had finally exhausted all of the
information he had accumulated from his observations and direct interaction
with those placing themselves beside this incarnate as well, which was much
more than another man might have deduced. When he finished, she stood motionless
for a moment, talking to herself, looking at her hands.
"Azrael, come with me. Now, you will know what must be done about this
situation," the woman said, turning down the stairs out of the entry room
and beckoning Azrael to follow her.

Nalion, sitting in a chair in his chamber in Arvs-Drelen
finishes his letter. He had made two copies, one for Baladas Demnevanni and one
for the wizard in Tel Uvirith.
He rises and steps away from his desk, then climbing the ramps to the top of
Baladas Demnevannis' tower. The Daedroth on the second floor snarled at him,
but let him pass. Still, Nalion could feel the small, red eyes of the creature

He climbed the last ramp and saw Baladas Demnevanni studying a book. Hearing
Nalions' approaching footsteps, the Telvanni wizard rises and turns to him.
"Retainer... so you have come back? Do you have anything to report?"
"Serjo, I have come with an report. You will surely have noticed the
events in front of the temple. The details are enclosed within." Nalion
answers, handing the letter to Baladas.
"I live quite reclusive here, but still I am not fully ignorant of the
events outside." Baladas replies, taking the letter, opening and reading
it. Nalion waits patiently.
"I see you have some connections to this party, Retainer. Considering
this, I will relieve you of your duty of returning my answering letter to the
wizard in Tel Uvirith. Instead, you will follow this party. Word will spread of
these events and you will be the eyes and ears of House Telvanni in this."
"Yes, serjo. I admit, I would have asked for the permission to accompany
the party myself. I have prepared a letter for the wizard in Tel Uvirith with
the same information in it." Nalion answers, handing Baladas the second
letter.
"I thank you for providing me accommodation in your hall, Master

"Very well, young Retainer. I wish you success in your travels. Oh, and if
you won't mind, I recently got a copy of the book "Nchunak's Fire and

upon another copy, be sure to send it to me..."
"I will try to find something. Farewell Master Demnevanni." Nalion

Azrael followed the Breton Mistress down the flight of stairs,
and across the floor, into a smaller room with a table, and many books; Adriana
ushered him through and closed the door behind them, setting a heavy lock and
casting a spell he could not recognize on the door.
"Now," she said, sitting next to him at the reddish-wooden table,
laden with scrolls and large volumes of text, "we must discuss what you
are to do."
Azrael watched as she pushed the papers aside, revealing a lock in the top of
the table--he had wondered why the table was so thick, now realizing it was
used as a place of storage. Adriana conjured a key, which plopped safely into
her hand, and opened the lid of the table; Azrael peeked inside as she did so,
and saw nothing, only an empty compartment with a small scrap of paper. She
removed this, and quickly closed the lid again, setting the paper on top for
Azrael to see:
Adriana,
A copy of this letter is being sent to all guild stewards on Vvardenfell, with
the intention of giving you time to prepare for the possible harsh times that
lay ahead. Some time ago, rumors began to fly about, speculations that Azura,
Goddess of Dawn and Dusk, had been bound to Nirn in a mortal vessel. We have
seen now that this is true, and must warn you of what you may face should this
incarnate come; here in Skyrim we have seen many villages laid to waste over
this. Prepare yourself, you haven't much time. . .
Azrael scanned the rest of the letter, absorbing it in it's entirety; when he
completed this, he knew his situation well, and was prepared for what he
thought might well be asked of him.
Adriana watched him as he glanced over the letter, seeing all the expressions
that she had worn herself, when first recieving it; "And now, Azrael, I
must ask of you one thing. Do not take a side in this matter, for the guild
wants only to study this claim. I wish you to follow this 'incarnate', watch
her well, but still, do not intervene."
"And what of this warning, Mistress? What if such things should come to
pass here as in Skyrim?", Azrael inquired, still unsure of his ability to
follow such objective orders.
"If that is what shall happen, then we will deal with it accordingly. For
now, we wish you only to study her", she replied.
Azrael nodded, "Yes, Mistress." He turned towards the door, and
Adriana stepped up to disable what spells she had cast earlier, and to open the
lock. She handed Azrael a small book, and a quill to write with, "You are
to record the actions of the woman in this journal; When I ask it of you, you
will show me."
The Dunmer took the book, and the quill, and shoved them both into the bag he
still carried around his waist. His eyes met Adriana's, and shined a sincere
'goodbye', before he scurried back up the stairs and out the guild-hall door,
eagerly walking towards the Temple.

Wrothgarian Mountains, High Rock
Where we last left the Queen of Wayrest, Elysana, she had just made her fourth
contract with a powerful ally in a few days’ time, in a dark house in Alcaire,
with a ceiling that opens to the Void.
The first was with the Daedra Prince Meridia. In return for knowledge about
Loranna, the truth about her connection with Azura, and the knowledge that she
has no designs against Wayrest, Elysana agreed to order her seemingly loyal man
Lord Liris to keep Loranna under his watchful eye and not to release her. The
letter to this effect has only now arrived in Gnisis, and Elysana does not yet
know of Liris’s epiphany in the Temple.
The second was with the Daedra Prince Sheogorath. The details of this contract
are not known.
The third was with a little girl named Bosriel, a Void Vampire who cannot leave
The Land Between, but who can devour any who pass staircases, the juncture of
walls, or anywhere else that is a connection to the Void. She can also move small
things with great precision telekinetically to communicate with the world
outside. In return for being Elysana’s spy and assassin, the Queen has promised
to construct something – the details of which are unknown – to free Bosriel
from her ‘prison.’
The fourth and latest was with Leseth, a monstrous dark orc and Void Ranger.
The Queen gave to him her trusted advisor Naphiticles, who he said knew too
much about the Void. Leseth has sworn allegiance to Elysana, and together with
Bosriel they have been ordered to go to Hammerfell. At an inn there, Elysana’s
men were closing in on her former knight Lord Ciel, and she does not know what
transpired. They will shortly discover that Ciel and his allies killed the men,
and escaped. Leseth and Bosriel are expected to find them, and tell their queen
their wherebouts and who their allies are, so Elysana can plan her revenge.
And now the Queen is sleeping in her hidden palace in the Wrothgarian
Mountains. Though her appearance is of an icy, cruel, and calculating sovereign,
the things that she has seen trouble a part of her that she barely knows
exists. She has nightmares.

Elysana sat in her bed, staring into the gloom, unable to sleep. Had she made a
miscalculation? It was possible. She always had plans, and contingency plans,
but she did not have the information yet to know if the time was right. She had
promised Liris much for his loyalty, but had Loranna promised him more? Was it
possible that he had a true religious conversion, or was it merely politically
expedient to pretend to have one?
She had spoken the truth to Meridia – if Liris failed her, or faltered in his
loyalty, he would die, as surely as Lord Ciel would, or perhaps already had.
Soon the Queen would hear from Leseth and Bosriel, and know whether to send
them to Morrowind or elsewhere in pursuit of Lord Ciel.

Gnisis, the streets lay empty save for the few of Loranna's closest companions
who stood watchfull at the mouth of the temple, oblivous to his presence*
"The stage is set...the lord so wills it..." *Celezar whispers,

*Azure passes through the kingdom of Daggerfalls' borders, then
through the shortest part of Shalgare, into Anteclare*
"Much farther?" Azure asks, impatient and tired.
"Yes...we must pass through the rest of Anteclare and then the southern
area of Dwynem, the length of Bhoraine, and then Alclaire...from there, we
shall reach the kingdom of Wayrest..." the caravener replies as he spurs
the horses onward.

The last of the cliff racers perished under Maranda's blade...
she sat on the rock, and looked at Shardie, still struggling with the
Fingertrap... 'they should be here shortly...'
can you help me with this?
Shardie asked...
'You were the one who wanted to play with it...' Maranda replied, 'make sure
your ready when they come...'
Okay she continued to struggle

Later ...
Loranna's eyes open and she stares up at the ceiling of her new Temple room -
the High Priest's rooms, hastily offered her with a great deal of chagrined
grinning and bowing.
... How much sleep did I get ... she wonders, feeling tired yet
energetic all at once. ... Not too much from the sounds of it ... sigh.
She gets up, already feeling her back pining for Mirror's expert massage, and
takes stock of herself. Inside, she feels a rolling power - Azura was getting
stronger, just as intended. She could feel Azura's power pushing against the
seams of her being just a little more, and nodded quietly to herself, noting ...
Just have to hang on a little longer, really ...
A few quick words and the Lady Loranna, Vessel of Azura and Azura's Child, was
soon brought the things necessary to freshen up and get ready for the day.
While she combs her hair, Loranna lets her thoughts reach out, wondering how
her companions are doing.

Ooc – For FireMaster
I think this is worth stating for people moving through southern High Rock and
northern Hammerfell. Things are different in the Iliac Bay since the days of
Daggerfall. Daggerfall, Wayrest, Sentinel, and Orsinium have been busy, and
there are few small kingdoms left.
Use this map as reference -- http://www.jceason.dircon.co.uk/dagger/dfgprov.htm
Daggerfall controls south-western High Rock – the former independent lands of
Tulune, Glenumbria Moors, Glenpoint, Ilessan Hills, and Shalgora. They retain
their old names, but are referred to as Daggerfallian Tulune, et cetera.
Anticlere is a buffer between Daggerfall’s land and Wayrest’s.
Wayrest controls Dwynnen, Bhoriane, Koegria, Alcaire, and parts of Menevia,
Gavaudon, and the Wrothgarian Mountains.
Orsinium has consumed Mournoth, Menevia, and huge portions of the Wrothgarian
Mountains, as well as the inland parts of Gauvadon and Menevia.
Sentinel controls all coastal Hammerfell west of the Dragontail Mountains.

"Why the stop?" Azure asks aloud as he gets off and looks
at the caravan's leader and his crew guarding the other valuables.
"The borders of the kingdoms are just up ahead..." the caravener
says. "Were just making sure our 'less than legal' items are properly

"Very well...normally, I make a point of not consorting with smugglers,

He had made considerable progress towards his destination, though where that

approaching a narrow strip of land which led into the Vvardenfell mainland.
Through the rising dawn Celezar had traveled along the rocky coast, from the
highest ledge he could make out his destination, however far he was from it.
Now it was the heat of daylight that made him tired and weary, though the fire
of his undying will kept him moving without so much as a recognition of his

"Through the loop and past the bend, accross the road we go...From the

'Thank you.... and that talk would be nice. Hey... I know that

Loranna is about to reply about her own premonitions of Koal Cave -
premonitions of conflict and sorrow - when Dagoth's surprised utterance makes
her look down at herself ...
... So I'm not ... she mutters quietly, her eyes shifting back and forth
between green and blue as she ponders her maternal figure ...
Just a year ago, she'd have either blushed and made some girlish comment about
a lady's right to privacy to a man who said that, tossing her head with an
impish "Hmph!" and pulling a sheet over herself. Or, perhaps, she'd
have given a small smile and a little, saucy giggle, tossing her head again but
saying "Why, so I am ... perhaps you could help warm a chilly Nord girl,
hmm?" And the men who might have offered such a comment would all have
been handsome Breton boys, or rugged Nord scouts, or Colovians or the
occasional Mer who fancied manish women ...
Now, she was being told this by a mentally blushing lich, and her only reaction
was to sadly note that he was right; girlish dreams were still there, just a
little, but were mostly hollowed out now, leaving but the simple fact that she
wasn't who she once was anymore, no matter how much she still felt the basic
things remained unchanged ...
Finihsing her hair, Loranna turns to grab a dress, telling Dagoth ... Koal
Cave will be yet one more challenge among many for us all, dear.

Meciander watched from the eggmine entrance as the bonfire
blazed below. Tears were running from his eyes and he was still confessing his
sins, hours after the call had been given. He couldn't stop. Finally, he came
to the blood pact, the one he made over one hundred years ago, and he stopped.
Molag Bal had borught him back under his graces, and made him remember that he
belonged to him. Meciander fell to his knees, still weeping. he cried for the
countless lives he had taken, and for his bondage to the dark master. He knew
he would never be free, even with the aid of Azura.
Get up you weakling! The
voice of Molag Bal resounded in Meciander's ears. I have a
task for you, one of highest importance... You are to guard this fool, protect
her on her journeys, and make certain her following. When she returns to
oblivion, and the faith of the dunmer is strong, it will be time for me to
return to Resdayn. I will bring forth all powers, and once more, the Daedra
shall be known to this land. You shall be my right hand, you shall slay her
foes, and strike down the powers that stand against her. I am sending three
from the Berne clan, they shall aid you in this quest. They will be your senses
in the dark, where you no longer belong. Remember, you belong to Molag Bal, and
you will do my bidding!
Meciander clutched his chest, feeling a burn more painful than anything he had
ever felt. His shirt disintigrated, and on his chest was the mark of Molag Bal.
His eyes now had a reddish tint to them, replacing the green, and his hair was
streaked with black. He felt power in him, and fury replaced his remorse. He
decided to walk back into the village, and ask that he would accompany them on
their quest.

Meciander walks into the temple, looking at the broken Ash Mask.
He laughs, and says to the ordinator standing nearby "What a shame, that
she crumbles your lies so easily. What will you do when she shows your temple
for the farce it is?" Meciander sits on the ramp that goes up to the above
platform "What will you do when your authority is gone, and all that
remains of your religion are a few dying fanatics and lonely shrines?"
The ordinator looks sternly at Meciander, his face showing an identical
expression to the one on his mask. "That witch may have shown some great
power, but the temple will always prevail. We will not go back to worshipping
demons. Now be gone, before you are slain for heresy."
"Oh my," said Meciander, standing "What harsh words, but really,
do you wish to tempt my anger?" Meciander said walking slowly towards the
ordinator "How strong to you think you are, my friend? Strong enough to
tempt the wrath of a god?"
The ordinator unstraps his mace and readies to swing. He shouts "You dare
call yourself a god? I will slay you in the name of Vivec!" with that he
brings the mace down.
The ebony mace is stopped by Meciander's hand as it is falling. His hand seems
to eminate pure darkness, absorbing the light from the room. As the ordinator
looks up, terrified, the mace begind to melt and fuse with his hand. Meciander
speaks in a voice dark and venomous "I do not call myself a god, but
merely the favored servant of one. And now you shall die for tempting his
anger." With that, Meciander brings his hand up to the ordinator's stomach
and bolts of lightning pulse over both of their bodies. As the ordinator lies
on the ground, smoking, two more step in.
"What have you done?" says one, looking at the smoing corpse
"Are you mad?"
Meciander turns, and blood is running from his eyes like streams of tears. He
says in a the same evil voice "Let fall your arms, and renounce your faith
of those who are dead. The daedra are returning, and their vengance is dire!"
The ordinators drop their weapons and fall in prostration. As they lie,
meciander walks out of the room, and composes himself before returning to the
outside. "He struck first. I'm pretty sure of that."

Mirror's plan: step 1
Wayrest: Finding Lost Things
You know how, if you look in places people don't ordinarily look, you will find
all sorts of things you thought were lost forever? Under furniture, in cracks.
A Void Ranger can look places that ordinary people never look. And things get
lost there too. The Void is as close as your elbow, and things fall through the
cracks.
Usually, when things fell into the Void, they really were lost forever. There
was no anywhere in the Void, and so they fell and kept falling. If Nirn really
were a ball, they would have fallen through the earth and past it, far out into
space. But Mirror knew, having had a proper education, that Nirn was not a ball
but an infinity. It only seemed like a ball because people's brains couldn't
handle the idea of more than one infinity, intersecting.
And Mirror was really, really fast. He was faster than the speed at which
things fell.
He had found lost things before; usually small things. A lot of loose change
ended up in the Void. A young man could practically make a living that way, but
it was too much work.
Beneath the destroyed Palace in Wayrest, far, far beneath, there was a lot of
loose change. Generations of change. In the Void, height was time; the farther
down things were, the longer they had been falling. Mirror dove downward at
magical speeds, slowed to the speed of the falling debris, plucked a coin from
the nothingness, and checked the date. And then dove downward yet again. Here
was somebody's hairpin. Here was somebody's toy. Some poor fool had lost an
entire shirt to the Void.
He was looking for a necklace, a very specific necklace. The old woman to whom
he had spoken said that Princess Elysana had been very unhappy to lose it, as a
child. People had searched. There had been accusations of theft.
How far down was 20 years, was 30?
Finally, after hours of searching, Mirror had to confess himself bested.
Perhaps the necklace really had been stolen. He started considering alternate
plans. If he could not give Elysana a present of sentimental value, perhaps he
could find something of monetary value.
He shot up towards the surface.
As he passed through the highest, largest section of debris... the refuse from
the time of the Palace's destruction - something caught his eye. Something
shimmery. A necklace, with a rose; fit for a little princess. It had been
caught, all these years, halfway in and halfway out of the Void, unreachable
but not falling free.
"Tris, you have Zenithar's luck," he said out loud, pocketing the
necklace. Another desperate push upwards and he was level with the surface,
then above it. He pushed through, emerging in an alleyway.
He was exhausted; his legs were trembling, his extremities numb. What was he
supposed to be doing again? He leaned against a streetlamp, breathing hard,
until a rough, mail-gloved hand tapped him on the shoulder.
"If you're drunk, head on home," the Wayrest guard said sternly.
"Not drunk, sorry," Mirror said, straightening. He found himself
looking into the face of one of the men he had fought inside Elysana's palace
when he rescued Ciel. He could see the gears of the man's mind turning over,
trying to place him. Could see them slipping, failing to catch. The General had
told him about this effect; most ordinary people went to great extremes to blot
anything outside their normal range of experience from consciousness. It was
only extraordinary people, like Elysana, who could even hold the thought for
long.
"Well, no loitering about then," the guard said, finally, and left
him there.
Mirror ducked into the Void and ran. He wasn't sure where Elysana was, exactly,
but he knew where he had seen her last.

OOC: melar was almost killed
IC:
Melar nodded and said, "its ok, happens alot."
Melar wandered back down stairs to the dwemer ruin. He heard people chatting
about azura returning. Melar shook his head in disgust. Now exploring dwemer
ruins, now that was more to his interest.
As he wandered down the corridors, torch in hand he took notes on how untouched
it was. He then spied upon a old dwemer device. As he approched it, the crystal
encased in the center began to glow splendidly. Melar was astonished when he
came closer it began to project images onto a wall. They were, depictions, of
some thing. After the short slide show ended he noted how the various pictures
showed. Then the crystal turned red and exploded. Melar quickly threw his
shield up to block the fragments of crystals. He continued down the corridor.
He saw a bookshelf with many old books. He then pulled over a chair and began
reading. After an hour of scouring the shelf of books written in old aldmeris
he chanced upon one that particularly interested him.
"Controlling daedra"
Melar grabbed the old book and began reading. It was a book about how to
conjure various daedra. How to summon daedra lords and etc. Then he found a
part that intrigued him, it spoke of how to bound a daedra lord to nirn. He
continued reading, he then remembered the chat about Azura returning. He
stuffed the old book in his robes and ran back upstairs, sealing the door with
a spell as he left. He went up and shouted to the guildmaster, "Guild
master, I think Azura really has been bound to nirn." The dunmer looked at
him and said, "really, how?" Melar then presented the book to the
dunmer. After a quick scan of it Melar was handed it back. The master then
said, "Get to Azrael, he may not like it, but you'll have to stick with
him. With this book you can probably prove or disprove this woman. Melar nodded
and stuck the book in his sack, then he grabbed some equipment out of the chest
and ran outside and started asking where he could find this so called god. As
he wandered through the streets, he noticed some ordinators grabbing some old
swords and committing suicide, rather than serve another god. Melar continued
down the streets, seeing people gather awaiting word from the lady. He sneaked
through the crowd and awaited the appearance of this woman.

Dur’el had awoken earlier then he had in years. Way before the
sun rose on the sandy, Gnisis ground. His night was filled with, tossing and
turning. He was still pretty shaken up from the events of yesterday. Dying can
do that to a guy. Allimar still laid on the ground, snoring loudly, as Kasha
was awoken by Dur’el as he was getting ready to leave the room.
“Where are you going?” Kasha says sleepily.
“Going for a walk.” Dur’el gloomily, replies over his shoulder.
Kasha begins to protest, but quickly stops herself. She could feel the
uncertainty, and shock on Dur’el, and considered it might be for the best, if
Dur’el has some time to himself. Dur’el puts on pants and shoes, then he walks
out of the room, having vivid daydreams about Loranna, the temple, and all his
pass Dunmer sins that came back to him yesterday.

Ever onward towards the sea

Allerleirauh watched Loranna emerge, with mixed feelings. She had spent the night
before talking to individual Dunmer about Loranna; she had yet to formulate a
plan of action. Right now she was merely an observer. And a protector, she
supposed. Loranna would not die with her here.

Zaldaar watches Loranna from his sitting spot. He didn't like
what she was doing. She was drawing too much attention to herself. She had many
enemies, and she was doing nothing to hide herself from them. He was tempted to
go and put a stop to it, but he was meant to be here, so here he would stay
until she arrived.

Dane sat up as he saw Loranna walk out her room and respectfully
bowed to her. He maneuvered through the crowd to Loranna. Dane cocked an
eyebrow as he saw Loranna’s overly sized belly.
“Ah…”
With a wave of his hand Dane magically produced a flower and handed it to
Loranna.
“An early present for your newborn”

Zaldaar frowned. 'you better hurry. She has enemies more
powerful than you or me. If you want to protect her, than hide her.'
Posted by: Loranna Dec 12 2004, 04:29 AM
Loranna accepts the flower with a soft smile, as well as other
gifts; she's soon bedecked in Dunmer jewelry and has armfuls of keepsakes,
family heirlooms, the occasional actual magical item ...
She really didn't know what to do with all these things; part of her wanted to
say "No, keep these please; you'll need them more than me, really. I'm
fine as I am; I'll offer you something ..." but she could already tell
most of the people here wouldn't understand - they simply didn't think on that
level.
She tried to listen, to make sure no one was offering something they couldn't
live without; an image of Aricyn's unsmiling face from the village in Skyrim
that had given them all their food came to her mind. She listens, and thinks
she holds but items of beauty, not need - she's not certain, but there's only
so much she can do, and as much as she'd rather explain to these people why
they didn't need to do this, she didn't want to lose what ground Azura had
gained in getting home ...
She hears Allie quietly standing in the background, hears people trying to talk
to her - Dagoth especially. She asks Dagoth ... Just be here for me for now
please? I could use a quiet shoulder to lean on mentally ... and she tries
to answer everyone she can ...

Melar read some more in the book as he looked out at the woman.
"Bounding daedra lords is just as simple as bounding regular daedra.
However, certain consequences may follow..."
Melar closed the book, and saw people lining up to give her offerings. He ran
over knowing this may be is chance to get close enough to determine who she
really was. He opened the book and read as he waited.
"a poor sorceror may actually kill the daedra they are trying to bound to
nirn. A proficient conjurer may be able to skillfully bring an army of daedra
to his side, however it is much more power consumeing to bring about a daedra
lord..."
Melar continued to read the book and found how to bound them, how to tell if it
was a daedra in disguise. However, he had to be really close to her, almost at
arm's length to be able to tell if this woman was really a daedra. The line was
moving so he put the old book away and awaited his turn.

After exiting the guild, Azrael checked his person to make sure
he had carried with him everything that was necessary for this, what he figured
would be quite long, journey. He messed with his boots a bit, realizing that
they were a bit loose when he took his first step; "Hmm, that's a bit odd.
. .stupid boots, I just bought them last week and already there is something
wrong. He looked up to spy a group of Ashlanders seated at the temple door, in
a semicircle, watched closely by a few heavily armed guards, and decided it
would be alright to have his boots tended to. He scanned the square, and noted
a small shop on the far side, apparently that of an armorer--he took his boots
off and walked casually to the stand.
From behind the table he heard a faint clanking noise; a small Imperial, which
he easily dwarfed (he thought this quite amusing), popped up from behind the
wooden counter.
"Yessir, Dunmer, what do you want then?", the little man inquired a
prospective smirk on his face.
"I need you to outfit me with a new pair of boots", Azrael responded.
He held up the loose boots to the Imperial's face and allowed him to inspect
them, also holding up a foot to be examined for fitting purposes. Realizing
that he had an extra bit of gold in his pockets, Azrael decided that he would
invest in a pair of improved boots. "Sir, do you have anything I might
purchase, rather than have you repair these boots?"
The imperial's eyes lit up, and he nodded, digging out something from beneath
the counter, where Azrael could not see, "I assume you are more familiar
with lighter armors, Dunmer?" Azrael was impressed by the keen, observant
eye of this armorer, mostly because he was by no stretch a small Dunmer, and it
was often assumed by armorers he purchased from that he favored heavier armors.
"Yes, anything I can purchase for this amount of gold would be fine",
he said, setting a handful of gold coins on the table.
"Ahh, this will do, and here, I even have something in your size, rather
conveniently". The imperial pulled a pair of white colored boots,
plate-like in appearance, and handed them to Azrael.
The Dunmer put the boots on, and took a few steps in them, immediately falling
in love with the fit. The Imperial piped in, "You will also like to know
that there is a speed enchantment on those boots; it should help you to keep up
with whatever you may someday need to pursue," winking his eye. Azrael
jogged a few yards out and back, and realized exactly what the man meant.
He was about to ask the Imperial another question, as he heard a frenzy of
voices. It had come from the Temple, and Azrael knew that he must now be there,
so he handed the armorer the gold he had offered, and strode off, towards the
now standing Ashlander crowd.
Coming up just behind them, he noticed that the Nord woman who he was to track
had come out of the Temple building, and was being 'decorated' by the
Ashlanders. He remove the book Adriana had given him from his pocket, and
scribbled some notes about the event. Just then, he heard his name, and looked
up to see the woman staring straight at him

rest comes out in a torrent. "Do not answer, I know your face from
yesterday. You are she. I come to tell you that I pledge my life to hunt down
those who would harm you."
He pulls his dagger from the ground and fades back into the crowd before she
can respond.
'There,' Teleran thinks, 'I will atone for any crime I may have committed, but
I will not leave the service of Hircine.'

Dur’el walks the streets of Gnisis barechested. The sandy,

too deep in thought to care. Dur’el looks down at his chest, and sees an old

“I was fighting a skilled Dunmer battlemage when I got this scar.”
Dur’el thinks rubbing the old wound.
“I knocked his spear out of his hand after he cut me. Weaponless, he begged
me to spare him.” Dur’el face twitches. “...But I laughed and beheaded

Loranna menally squeezes Dagoth's hand for a moment as she
offers words of encouragement to people hither and yon ...
She hears someone wondering if she's really what she says she is, feels him
standing near her and looking at her as though examining a painting; her lip
curls in a small frown as she wonders wether to say something directly or to
just let him draw his own conclusion ...
... and then her eyes lock with Azrael's, and for a second she tries listening
to this man who draws her attention, wondering who he is. Soemthing about him
feels at least somewhat conencted to her but she's still trying to filter
everything out ...
The crowd is pushing Loranna along, impatient to get started to Koal Cave;
Loranna's eyes drift off of Azrael but her attention lingers on him still,
trying to listen to his heart.
Then, Teleran's dagger hits the ground, and there's an immediate commotion as
people surge toward him - but Loranna says " ... Wait," and people
pause. Loranna looks into Teleran's eyes, searching ...
" ... Very well; I accept your pledge of protection," Loranna says
after a moment, thinking to herself ... Enemy or ally, he's to be here ...
Then, finally, she hears Dur'el, and she hides a frown, though her eyes moisten
slightly. She debates what, if anything, to say to him ...

"Oh my, what have the threads sewn us now?"
Arynel asks, eyeing the chaotic crowd. The Breton summons a lute, and
begins to sing a song, his voice laced with a calm spell.
All ye all ye
Dark skinned and fire eyed
Under mountain shadow lie
Put away your swords today
All ye all ye
Weathered skin from dessert life
Under mountan shadow lie
Now need now for sword or spell
Be at ease and quinch the swells...
Immeditately freed of the effects of the earlier magic, the riot calms as
quickly as it started. The crowd looks around, dazed, for the cause of their
sudden insanity.
Aricyn looks down at the man the guards have pinned beneath them, and frowns.

Kasha catches up with Dur’el, as he stands in the back of the
group worshiping Loranna. Kasha smirks when she thinks back a minute ago when
she thought it might be hard to find him. How hard would it be to find a
shirtless, Redguard in Gnisis?
“How you feeling?” Kasha asks as she grabs Dur’el on the shoulder.
“Better.” Dur’el softly says.
Kasha could tell he was lying.
“Well I brought you your clothes...” Kasha pauses. “And your daggers.”
Kasha looks at Dur’el worried. “I’ve never seen him without his daggers...
ever.” Kasha thinks.
“Thanks.” Dur’el mumbles as he begins to dress.
Suddenly the crowd begins to disperse in a savage, frenzy, as some fool tried
to attack Loranna. Dur’el continues dressing, ignoring the frenzy. He dons his
blue, extravagant pants, black extravagant shirt, his blue, extravagant nobles
jacket, and his black boot, laced with a speed enchantment. To say Dur’el was
looking handsome would be an understatement.
“Good choice of clothes, Kasha.” Dur’el says smiling.
A calm spell is soon casted and the crowd settles back down.
Dur’el takes his daggers and sheaths them on his hips.
“Lets go see what’s gonna happen to this idiot.” Dur’el says walking off.
“Seems like he’s feeling better... for now.” Kasha thinks as she walks
after him.

Allerleirauh moved to the front of the crowd, so swiftly that it
seemed she had appeared out of thin air.
She held her drawn blade to the pinned man's throat.
"Speak quickly and tell me why you don't die now," she said.
Loranna looks at Melar, then looks at Allie, and she speaks to her mind.
... A Detect Daedra spell. That's what he went to all that trouble to cast.
... He's an even bigger moron than that tavern wench who thought housing a
Daedra Prince was a good idea - but beyond that he's nothing. I say let him
learn some common sense the hard way, through the prisons.
Raising her hand, Loranna says "Spare his life; bind him and take him to
the prisons. Let him answer for his actions rather than use death as an escape
from his folly."
Posted by: Rhedd Dec 12 2004, 06:44 AM
"So be it," says Aricyn, only hearing her words, being
deaf to her thoughts.
He reaches down and drags the man from the ground. Not wanting to trust
Loranna's attacker with anyone else, he personally holds the man by the wrists
and pushes him towards the prison.
"Liris, would you assist me?"
Posted by: Aki Dec 12 2004, 06:46 AM
Reichi chuckled as the man was taken away. "Moron." he
said.

As they are walking off with the prisoner, Dur’el picks up a
rock and throws it at the law breaker. A Dunmer standing next to Dur’el looks
at him sternly. Dur’el quickly points to Kasha. Kasha just sighs and shakes her
head.

Liris motioned to a handful of guards to assist Aricyn and
himself.
"Get some bracers," the Lord said in a cold tone, "and bind him
so he can not use his magics to escape."
A guard rushed off to fetch the required items as several others grouped around
the hapless mage. Liris followed the group to make sure what needed to be done
was done.
Posted by: Rhedd Dec 12 2004, 06:50 AM
As Aricyn, Liris, and the men lead the attacker off, Aricyn
turns to Liris, "Liris, what do you think of a man who threatens our Lady
Loranna? Should he indeed, live?"
They round the rocky outcrop, out of sight of the crowd, and Loranna.
"I, myself, think that the one right out Lady does not have, is the right
to endanger herself needlessly."
With that, Aricyn's left hand goes to the back of the prisoner's neck. With
surprisingly little effort, there is a quiet pop, and the man falls limp to the
ground.
"Arrange for the disposal of the body, would you, please?"
Posted by: Solin Dec 12 2004, 06:55 AM
"Of course," was all the lord said in response.
After Aricyn had left. Liris turned to the guards and said, "Strip him of
anything that might identify him and dump him, you know where."
With that he turned on his heel and left the body. He readjusted his clothing
to look more suitable and returned to Loranna.

Azrael stood, watching Melar attack the proclaimed incarnate. He
observed him rise, prepare for a magical bombardment, and listened as the
Breton voice chanted the phrase necessary for a. . .detect daedra spell.
Smirking a bit, the contemptful Dunmer stilled himself, his eyes following the
doltish young mage as he was thrown to the ground, after his less than
successful assualt.
The Nord woman exchanged words with a few of her cohorts, and the larger Nord
male in the group, whom Azrael had heard the incarnate address as 'Aricyn',
hoisted Melar from the ground, summoning another with bracers, leading him off
to the imperial prison. The group began to walk off, away from Azrael and the
crowd, when his ears perked up, at the snap of bone. He knew then what had
become of Melar.
"Ahh, how I wish I was the one to have countered that stupid young
Breton; inexperience does not pay, how fortunate she is such a harsh
teacher."
Azrael noticed the band of mer moving with the woman of interest, urging her
towards the edge of the town, eager to begin a trek, apparently. The Dunmer
knew he must follow them, and so reached in his pocket, pulling out a strange
amulet, glowing, and twisted into the shape of a shell; in it was a small red
gem, which he rubbed, before fading into the air around him.

He paused a moment contemplating what he was about say.
“I like to think that my reason was not so strange but, now I am not so sure,”
he finished quietly.

Examining the plant Solin pronounces, “Kresh weed, a common
enough plant.
“There is an oldwives tale, if one chews the fibers one will never lack for
luck,” he continued.
“You’re not a Bosmer so I don’t fear being eaten by you,” the Mer replied, “As
to the clock-work city, that is both strange and not so strange. I
suppose it would depend on the reason for going…”
He paused a moment contemplating what he was about say.
“I like to think that my reason was not so strange but, now I am not so sure,”

"Reasons are the first thing to go, in the Void," Doll said, putting
the kresh-weed in her mouth and making a face. "You forget what you're
doing and why you should care. But you are exactly the person who needs to
care. If those of us who know how things really are don't care, then why should
they care?"
Here she gestured at the long column of egg-miners, Imperial soldiers, and
assorted ruffians trailing behind Loranna.

“The Void is a most dangerous place then,” Solin remarked.
The Dunmer stopped and knelt as he undid the straps that held his helm in
place. Pulled once more over his head the mask concealed all his features. He
raised his hood over the helm and then looked to any observer as if he had just
left the ashlands, lacking the ash of course. Finished with the food for the
time being he stowed it away in his pack for later. Rising from his kneeling
position the dark elf slings his pack back over his shoulder and continues
towards the massed followers of Loranna.

*A short robed figure walks up beside you...... from nowhere*
"tsk, tsk tsk" he says as he pulls back his hood, reavealing a bosmer
that is grinning from ear to ear.
"In all my time *Pause*, and I have had a LOT of time, I have never seen
anything quite like this."
"Refreashing."
"Original."
"Utterly Unbelievable!! "
"A Litch with a Heart !!"
*He pulls his hood back up and walks away, then steps into nothingness*
*You feel something strange, you have not felt in a long time*
*Thu-thump, Thu-thump, Thu-thump, then nothing again*
'Wha? What is.... happening!? I felt.... alive for a moment. I could feel.....
my heart. What is going on!?'
Dagoth notices Loranna's actions. 'That fool is lucky that you set a punishment
for him before I did. The one I would have gave him..... would have been far
worse.'

After the events in front and in the temple itself, Nalion has
retreated into his chamber in Arvs-Drelen, writing a report of the events.
After that, he was released of his duty as messenger and was assigned a new
post: to follow Azura and her company, to watch and to learn.
Hearing a distant clamour of a crowd, even in Arvs-Drelen, Nalion figures that
it may be time to go out and see what is happening. Grabbing his equipment and
again locking the door behind him, he steps out of the velothian tower, built
into the northwestern hill of Gnisis.

*Erenius returns to Madach's for a few minutes or so to gather
his things and prepare one last order should it be needed*
"Sir, all ready?" Darius asks reluctantly and hopeful at the same
time.
"Yes, Darius...I almost be ready," Erenius responds handing him an
order sealed in a brocade envelope with a latch on it to prevent damage.
"Open this envelope only if these circumstances occur..."
*and so Erenius whispers inaudibly the appropriate circumstances as Darius
slowly forms a perplexed and worried face*
"But wouldnt that..." Darius tried to say as Erenius silenced him and
gathered his thing.
"Open the note before hand," Erenius mutters. "And I shall see
you dead."
*Erenius leaves Madach's and returns to the Temple's entrance, noting that the
usually roomy and unused alcove allowing direct entrance to the temple is
nearly full*
"Damn the pilgrims and wonderseekers here..." Erenius mutters.
"Theres gotta be a way into the courtyard without forcing my way in and
likely getting kileld in the exodus."

Meciander dropped his pipe in surprise. "What the...."
said Meciander as he watched the dreugh retreat. "Well, it already seems
this will be quite the adventure. I hope we all live to see it through."
Meciander puts the pipe in his pack and pulls out the cape he bought for Loranna.
He goes over it with his fingers, stroking it as if it is alive "You're
going to serve a mighty purpose, don't fail me." Meciander said, as he
watched the procession get closer. "Now, I must soon present my
gift."

*He could feel his bare feet being cut upon jagged rocks and
stones as he climbed up the steep cliff, there was nothing below him
anymore...he knew if he were to fall*
I cannot think like that...If I do Ill surely die...I just must keep going.
I can see her at the top...Im almost there...
*He climbed a few more feet and reached the summit*
"Azura!...I am finally here...azura....I've
waited so long...what are your wishes?"
We feast on your life
As you bring for us strife
our enemies are now dead
because of the lies you have been fed
And out of the darkness
You have been born
Making heretics believe
And the Mundus mourn
"Wha...what do you mean....AH!" he yelled as Azura...slowly bring her hand upon his
head...pushed him from the cliff...
*Waking from this terror Orion jolted out of subconciousness*
"What..WHAT WAS THAT?...what does it mean...?.....and...where am I?
*He glanced around...looking for something familiar...but it was too dark to
see...*
"....hey is that a light....yha....it's a guard....that must be....The
Temple...what are all those people doing out there...?
"LETS GO SEE AZURA!" a person yelled...
"Yha...shes in the temple" Another replied
"WHAT???...wow....hmph...I gotta see this... Orion said

Azrael had begun to follow the crowd as they embarked on the
very beggining of their journey; They hadn't gotten far, before he heard a
slight splash in the river below, the one the locals called the 'samsi'. The
crowd paused, and investigated the source--Azrael did the same. The Dunmer
leaned over the edge of the land set above the river, and nearly fell in with
surprise. Hovering, nearly a foot above the river, was a. . .a floating Dreugh!
"I must be going mad," Azrael murmered to himself, "things like
this do not happen. Too much, too much in one day; I can only imagine what the
rest of this investigation will show."
He grabbed his journal and, once more, whipped the quill that Adriana had given
him out, scribbling away on one of the blank pages:
12th Evening star:
Just as the group began to move, they stopped again--quite obvious, for this
lot, who seems to want to take every opportunity to slow down. We didn't even
leave the damned town, and already they have found some way to delay.
We heard a splash in the Samsi river, all of us. I looked over the edge with
them, and nearly had a heart attack; at the bottom there was. . .was. . .a flying
dreugh, and if that wasn't enough, the peculiar beast talked! I can tell this
is going to be some adventure, I just they don't pick it up to come along. Oh,
wait. . ."
Azrael grimaced as he ended the journal entry, looking down to see Aricyn, the
largest Nord, throwing the water-beast scraps of food; "What band of mer
has the Mistress aligned me to travel with? This is ridiculous".

"LET ME THROUGH!!!....NOW!" Orion commanded as he
truged through the crowds...."what the...a flying dreugh?"
*He did not care...all he wanted was to see Azura and ask the question on his
mind...He opened up the door to the Temple...ignoring the cries of the
people...all he was looking for was the answers to his existance...and nothing
was going to stop him"
