Mind if I suggest The Screwtape Letters?

The motivation is a bit vague but they're somewhat entertaining in the sense that they give a fairly good insight into the way genuinely religious people think about evil. It also features an element that I think fits well with the metaphysics of  the Elderscrolls, namely the way evil is focused on the consumption of mortals while good is focused on joining with god while maintaining their free-will. Also would guess C.S. Lewis as one of MK's angels but I'm not sure (so mundane).

Owh and a moderator told me about two decades ago that I couldn't have a discussion about it on the Official Forums. I seem to be able to hold resentment that long. :D

The Audiobook is available on Youtube.

I'd be up for doing a non-TES book club.

Worth a try at least.

I'd be down for that.

Going from there, suggestions on how to format the readings? Still want to start with Screwtape?

Anybody else interested?

Me too. Has anyone read George Martin's novels, but not in the Game of Thrones universe? They're amazing

Sure. Lets start with screwtape or we'll lose momentum.

I think I've got a copy around here somewhere. Mind if I join in?

I've got the Screwtape audio book favorited on Youtube. I'll give it a listen here in a day or two. Definitely ready to dive into this one!

Cool. What sounds like a reasonable number of chapters to shoot for per week? The chapters are only about 6-8 pages each.

I was kinda waiting to see what others suggested, but no one seems to be coming forward.

...5 chapters a week? That's 30-40 pages a week. That's not too slow for anyone?

I've already done as much listening this week.

I'm just about 3/4 through now. I was trying to find some nice thematic break but each chapter stands alone.
