In TES 6 we have to rescue Shau'n the Sword Singing wonder baby from evil, alik'r mercenaries and the Thalmor nazi doctors who hired them. Its about family.

Elder Scrolls is to fantasy what DC movies are to cinema.

(There is a shared universe between all my posts, but I must be cryptic about these things, because normal sentences are not artsy. They do not do my vision the justice I deserve.)

Can't wait to slay as Gurl of the Na-waifu tribe. Good stuff. I should probably spoiler these gameplay leaks.

Geez, I know none of us is exactly happy with the decline of Bethesda's RPG design, but I think you may be taking it a little far.

I don't care if its an rpg. I've always liked good adventure/action rpgs more than my favorite crpgs.

I'm just heralding the end times.

I see... I see spoken dialogue in your player character's future.

Since the boundaries of the discussion of TES 6 seems to be pretty loose I'll venture my opinion of the E3 trailer that really showed the kinds of original creative world building that sucked me into Morrowind and sets my hopes for TES 6. At E3 it was Ubisoft's Montpellier Subsidiary's world of Beyond Good and Evil 2 which (minus the profanity and rap) showed a mountain sized temple/tomb of a four armed elephant god and a tiger mouthed galactic pirate ship both begging to be explored and experienced despite the fact that the trailer is billed as an action/adventure rather than an rpg.

Hopefully work of this creative imagination and quality will carry over to Bethesda's TES 6 team where I still hold out hopes of the kinds worlds of Morrowind and Waughin Jarth played with in Valenwood and Argonia.

Just my opinion.

The battered optimist in me, shriveled though he's become, wants to believe that Beth takes all of these criticisms like the ones Two Sought Adventure has voiced to heart and will approach the next Elder Scrolls very differently than they've tackled Fallout 4 and 76. People have been consistently lambasting Beth for Skyrim's roleplaying deficiencies since it released seven (jesus) years ago. They have to know by now.

Fallout's a different franchise that Todd and others have said affords them the room to do crazy shit like voiced protags and multiplayer that they would otherwise never do. I'm grateful they have an outlet to explore ideas I may not agree with in a space that's separate from TES. They even have a new one in Starfield.

Skyrim sold gangbusters and F4 surpassed it in sales. Every new game are millions more copies sold, fossil fanatics on backwater hobby boards don't matter. Skyrim 7th edition is old news. The Kreation Kit Klub is no 'alternative' host - its Bethesda's future. That future is publishers keeping customers online and shopping in perpetuity. There is stupid money had in mods and data, and Bethesda are going in. Its the only way to keep you paying.

I am fairly certain it will involve the Aldmeri Dominion, if only because they were made into such a big deal in Skyrim. I have no issue with them being integral to the plot of TES VI, however, I would have a problem with them not being joinable. I always felt like the ability to role-play an Altmer was lacking in Skyrim due to this.

I have a  legitimate question, does anyone thing that we will be hearing or seeing anything about the dwemer in tes 6? Ik alot of the lore suggests that they are gone for good but i cant help but hope to see or hear something about them in the future. The main reason i ask this is due to the winterhold quest with the warped soulgem, it couldnt of just been a coincidence that we where shown semi what happend at the battle of red mountain. Almost like what falion had said about walking the plains of oblivion an seeing things a man shouldnt see an above all dwemer? Hmmmm almost makes me thing that they where flung into a different plain i really dont think we’ve herd the last of them.

@Styx: If we were to see the Thalmor/Dominion in TES 6 (assuming it takes place in Hammerfell) it would probably be to the same extent as we saw them on Solstheim in Dragonborn.

I'm hoping the story leaves a time gap with blanks for potential, if they start continuing story arcs and conflicts close to where they left off it doesn't leave much up to the imagination .. that's just hoping though. maybe after Thalmor rule is successful than becomes something else  .. i dunno just hoping for something wildly new and atleast maybe more honest to people as written characters than with what happened in Skyrim. It felt very safe and polite for being a khajiit or mer walking in Windhelm (even for being supposedly dragonborn not much is initiated ) compared to how the Dunmer treated n'wahs basically anywhere in Morrowind.. it felt light especially for dangerous loud nord separatists. which you really didn't see enough naked drunk nords in the wilderness in that game really .. i expected allot more of that given the circumstances.. .

the truth is that bethesda doesn’t really have the true lore fans at heart they have broken lore before an it will happen again an again, im sorry boys. But this argument i see now is nul an void with the aftermath of 76, an our creation club tolerance running on empty i fear i will look apon Bethesda with a grim face untill they redeem themselves in my eyes an the eyes of the elder scrolls nation.  All we can hope is that the elder scrolls 6 comes to the table Hitting harder than skyrim ever did  i’ve said it once and I’ll say it again I really think that it’s going to have a lot to do with the dominion trying to over throw the empire. But many people have said this and we all have an idea that it probably will happen at some point  i’m just holding out on the return of the dwemer or atleast an explanation into what happened  The only thing else that I can think of that will happen that we will hear about is an invasion from high rock. Or possibly akavir.

If yes, I think that'd be shown at E3 2019

Most of the main talent is not in bethesda anymore. Its not the same company ; if company is the 'main'talent.

At this point I'm only hoping that Bethesda doesn't streamline the games RPG mechanics any further than they have by skyrim but since skyrim had such a wider success than the previous games, these newly found fans will be expecting something along the lines of skyrims mechanics. That being very unfortunate in my opinion, since skyrims mechanics weren't anything great.

Back from the dead, boys. It’s been a long time.

What I want: A rich, immersive world that evolves with the player. All the promises that have been made for all the games through all the years; tanning in sunlight and becoming more pale without it, weight loss and weight gain (like Fable figured out in... 2001? 2004?), marriage (with anyone, anywhere; not pre-sets), the ability to have children (see Fable... again), an addiction system (to Skooma  and tree-sap) like Fallout has had for the last 3 f*****g games, drunkenness (how many times am I referencing Fable?), an in-depth class and race system going to back to Morrowind, Battlespire, and even Oblivion, well-written dialogue and multiple outcomes to almost every quest (main story included, looking at you Mass Effect 3), one promise that stuck out for me in particular was the GameInformer article talking about how the NPC’s in Oblivion will all have goals and dreams, aspirations that they work towards and grow with the player. I could go on and on.

What we will get: Skyrim II: Return of the Dragonborn (Redguard Expansion) -Tag line- Fus Roh Dah, amirite guys?

I'll be interested in seeing where they take it. I hope if it is set in Hammerfell that the province gets done some justice. The plot will definitely need to be more contained now that HF's seceded and is independent.

Imagine they just say fug it and Bethesda makes a third person multiplayer shooter because "the godhead dreamt of that" and its called Skyrim 2. Jokes aside I wish they paid more attention to argonians and the black marsh.

Smart money says Hammerfell.

Smarter money says that the little bits and bobs of Raga lore will still be there, but it's going to have some weird-ass MQ storyline -not totally an atrocity in and of itself - but one that you can tell nobody really sat down with and figured how to work into the world at large. The Skyrim MQ is perfect precedent: Tyrant Aldy, Gormlaith & Friends, and the Dragon cult are perfectly workable per se (and accessible!) but the game never really fully bridges it with established stuff like the Ysgramor cycle.

And as much of a historical stink I've made throughout the years concerning jungles and such, I understand the reasoning. You've sunk a boatload of cash into a vidya-game, you've got deadlines to meet, and now there's a goddamn bug in the radiant AI that's making everyone kill each other over fucking shovels. So naturally, you focus on what's gonna move millions of units, and hint-hint, it ain't mangroves or Venetian turquerie.

As for what form the new additions take, you need look only to what's popular, cf. the Jackson LOTR movies and Oblivion (Could the Imperial guards be more Gondorian?). So I'm guessing for the big baddy we're in for a King, of sorts, one who's really into tigers.
