Where do the souls of Vampires go upon death? Now I would assume Cold Harbour, being Molag Bal's realm. He does like the shiny souls of mortals after all. But that said in Oblivion Azura tasks you with slaying some of her followers that got infected with vampirism. Pretty sure she says something along the lines of it "bringing them peace".

I can't imagine Azura wanting to let MB steal the souls of her faithful. And I certainly can't imagine Coldharbour being peaceful.

My personal thoughts would be: Molag would only gain the soul of willing vampires? Or maybe they got a free pass because Azura took a personal interest?

Any ideas?

iirc, a mortals soul goes to whichever plane of Oblivion (or Aetherius) associated with the deity he/she worships, with a few exceptions (like werewolves).

First off, to my knowledge, the realms of the daedric princes are not afterlives. They're not like Sovngarde. Second, it seems that souls are not sentient beings but rather a sort of magical life energy. So when Molag Bal gets your soul, he isn't torturing you for all eternity, but rather using it as one might use a material item. There may be conflicting information out there. I should see about maybe doing in depth research on the topic.

They are not true afterlife, but souls do go to certain Daedric domains in certain cases. For example, Hircine's Hunting Grounds for lycanthropes.

In my opinion, souls do go to Molag Bal, but he doesn't torture them but uses them as items or soldiers. I don't think he would kill or break his own sons and daughters, since they are powerful minions.
