So where do you think TES VI and the TES V expansion packs will be?

The obvious setting for the 6th game would be Alinor ... But It could be hamerfell....

As for the expansion packs... do you think we'll see another daedric relm?

I'm thinking that they'll branch out along the borders for DLCs if they leave Skyrim at all. No bets on TESVI, but Valenwood would be shweet.

I'd love to see Alinor (The Summersets) or Hammerfell. The next game is like 6/7 years away now though. As for DLC/expansions; the possibilities are endless. There was something the other day saying that Beth trademarked or copyrighted the term 'Dawnguard', so that could very likely be for one of the coming expansions.

I'm telling you, I'm so happy playing Skyrim right now that I would easily chuck down another 60 euro's for basically the same game, only in a new setting, with new quests, story-lines, etc, and nothing changed/improved/upgraded..... Just call me sucker!

If anything, I'd like for it to be in Elsweyr during the Void Nights.

The place has a perfect vareity of places; arid scrub, rocky desert, constant sandstorms, mucky rainforests, coral reefs, the list goes on. Not to mention, the lack of the moons in the sky would cause massive chaos and perfectly set up a badass storyline.

Alright here is my theory for TES VI. Title will be "The Elder Scrolls VI: Dominion".  Will include both Summerset Isle and Valenwood (possibly Elsweyr). You can either join the Thalmor or join a small

wood Elf uprising and take them down from the inside.

1st DLC: An Island north of Skyrim where for one reason or another you will defeat the Thalmor for good.

2nd DLC: Another plane of Oblivion.

That is all.

Masser and Secunda.

In that order.

If I could choose the plot for TES VI, I'd want to travel back to the 3rd Era during Uriel Septim V's campaign to take Akavir. It's one of the only place the game hasn't been and it's the most diverse. Just my opinion.

I had an idea about past events.

Remember Operation  Anchorage in Fallout 3? Allowed you to go back in time via simulation and experience a past event in Fallout history.

What if some ancient Dwemer machine or...I dunno...fucking MAGIC let you do that with some old war in Tamriel?

TES6? Alinor most probably... not just is Thalmor kinda important, but changing the province's name for no reason is a weird decision, but if it was changed to make the new game's name sound better, it ain't so far-fetched.

DLC? I'd guess one will deal with Thalmor, one with Atmora, hopefully one with Western Morrowind (there is no chance we would get to visit that part of Tamriel otherwise) and some kind of "End of Dovahkiin's Story" DLC.

I'm almost certain TES VI will be in Hammerfell. I mean, the Thalmor were only defeated(or fought to a standstill) by the Redguards, the Empire still has it's interests there(as rebel province or as new ally), and although tensions are lower than before, you still have the Crowns and the Forebears. You could probably join the Thalmor, the Empire and the two Redguard factions, and maybe a faction of Alik'r desert raiders or something.

I'm not so sure about the expanions. Of course you have the obvious 'hurr durr they gonna make Morrowind', but I doubt that, as that would be a shitload of work. But I still suspect something with Dark Elves, the Thalmor, or the Dwemer.

TES has been always about Nirn - and even in Olivion - it was more "contra Daedra" than "pro Daedra".

I would love to see a future TES being about Oblivion/Daedra instead of Nirn - that this realm can be explored and  traveled like we are used to from the other TES Games. That we can truly become a Champion or Follower of one of all the 16 Daedric Princes. This could mean that we finally could play "lore-friendly" a dremora or daedra-mongrel this time - just so the player character can keep up with the more powerful Daedra.

Their Lore, History and characteristic offer more than enough potential for some epic story-line and quests. And I would love for once being the one corrupting or tempting mortal rabble for my mere amusement.

For an RPG, operating based around a single sphere is a bit...arbitrary, don'cha think? The idea might work for a spin-off game, but it kind of falls flat on its ass for one of the base games.

@Dargor

I am not quite certain if your post had been a reply to my post.

If so... the last TES Games always just covered one piece of Tamriel, which belongs to Nirn. It always worked.

Why shouldn't Oblivion with its many Daedric Realms (I mean all their realms, not just one sphere) serve as perfect setting. It would be TES... and the player still could travel from realm to realm as if he would travel from city to city. Depending on faction, the player might not be welcome everywhere... and some realms/sphere would require some hard work to be reachable.... but that'what a game makes fun. Challenges, story and great characters and a lot humor :)

Unless no one likes Daedra and doesn't like to explore the other side I really don't see a reason why this could end on its ass.

I think the criteria that will govern the next location are:

Hasn't already had its own game

Politically divided, and not totally in the pocket of either the Empire or Dominion

Not too much vegetation for acceptable framerate

That pretty much leaves Hammerfell or Elsweyr (Elsweyr is nominally in the Dominion, but cats are finicky, and Anequina and Pelletine are operating independently of each other, so it would be the most likely place for a proxy civil war)

Sorry Rhian, I misread your post and thought that you were talking about exploring one singular realm as opposed to all of them. Still, I can't say the idea tickles my fancy so to speak. While it would be cool to see how the princes deal with one another, I just couldn't get behind the idea since all of the realms would most likely be sized down to DLC bits we've seen thus far. Admittedly, I'm somewhat biased since I prefer to play as more mundane characters.

Elsweyr or Valenwood, hopefully.

Alinor would be a great way to follow up on the thalmor story, however I'm hoping for Blackmarsh/Argonia. That would loo great on nex gen consoles as well as PC and would be a great way for Bethesda to show off their new game engine. Just look at the visual improvement from oblivion to skyrim. If it continues at that rate Bethesda could really pull off some stunning visuals.

Actually, leave out the vegetation part or the politically divided part (somewhat) and you have Black Marsh. The Devs have seen very keen on having Argonia for a setting since before Morrowind (they wanted to make The Eye of Argonia a sequel to Redguard). The books The Infernal City and Lord of Souls main setting was Black Marsh and Umbriel. The Argonians defeated all of the Daedra during the Oblivion Crisis on their own. Then they basically took Southern Morrowind during the Red Year. And in Skyrim, there is a random rumor in the Blue Palace that the Argonians are trading with the Thalmor.

So while I would love to see Hammerfell again or visit the Altmer in the Isles, the next game is greatly hinted to be Black Marsh.

I would have to disagree.

Bethesda is very consistant at hinting what their next game will be, and all hints in Skyrim point to the next game being about the second great war, and black marsh, even if they were on the side of the thalmor, simply isn't a place for that.

Hammerfell, Valenwood, and ALinor are the most likely places for TES6, with elsweyr, High Rock, and Black Marsh being the least likely places.
