I honestly prefer PC. I used to play console, but found PC to be much better.

1. Mods

2. More natural feeling controls

3. The PC version can get DLC too.

PC, because I've never owned a console. As a kid, I could never convince my parents, nor scrounge up enough money to buy console, but they did get a PC because it was necessary for work. So I got Oregon Trail, Amazon Trail, Eyewitness Dinosaurs, (DK Multimedia?) Castle, and finally Age of Empires I. And with AOE, I was hooked. Age of Empires, Age of Kings, Superpower, Stronghold Crusader... and then boom I saved enough money in High School to buy my own computer, so I could play Age of Empires III, and that's when I saw Oblivion sitting on the shelf. RPGs, not really being my thing....

Anyway, I'm an adult now, so I buy what I want. and I buy and play PC. PC does have its advantages - mods, graphical quality - but honestly. I play PC because I've invested in playing PC.

I'm a DOOM child lol. 90's were  a good time for PC.

But yea, PC has always been my favorite to play on.

I'm console going to pc. Console's fine but there's no denying PC is better as long as you have the money. If you prefer chilling on the couch, hook up the pc to your tv with an HD cable. Then use a controller. Simple.

I mean, it's pretty indisputable that you'll get a better gaming experience on a PC, given the capacity for mods and potential graphics. The only reason I play Skyrim on Xbox is because I don't have any other machine that can handle it.

Xbox. Having a good gaming PC here in Brazil requires you to have a lot of money to spend - wich I don't since I am still a student. And I don't really like using mouse+keyboard, it feels very weird to me. I also grew up having my N64, PS2... I have always had consoles my whole life, so it feels weird not having one :D

Do they have an HD version of AOE 1? I bought AOE 2 and 3 recently. Haven't played a full campaign since 1999-2000.

Not that I know of Knight. I recently purchased the AOE 2 HD Edition, along with the new "Forgotten" expansion, but I've been fairly disappointed with the new campaigns so far. The factions seem legit, although I can't say I've played many random or multiplayer battles so far with them.

0 AD is still in development, but it is similar (it was originally meant to be something of a AOE fan remake) if you'd like a graphical update. I haven't played it in a while though, since there were some pretty bad problems with lag. Still, it's free, so no harm in trying it out.

Forgotten not that good? I actually want to try out the new civilizations.

I'll check out 0 AD.

Thanks, Fiore.

PC. Has more of everything, as well as the ability to use a controller and play on TV.

If you have 400 USD, an OS and can put LEGOS together, then you can max Skyrim on PC.

You're welcome.

As for Forgotten, the campaigns really have a hard time with a consistent difficulty level, no matter what level you choose. The first campaign follows Alaric the Goth, but doesn't have much in the way of interesting objectives or story.  It's also piss easy on hard. Thus, its boring as shit so I suggest skipping it.

The second campaign follows Vlad the Impaler, using the new Slavic faction. It's got a fairly interesting story and objectives, but also fails to be difficult even on hard mode through most of the campaign. Except in one or two instances, such as the siege of Dracula's fortress, when the meeting the objectives becomes quite difficult and requires furious micromanaging. That one spot took me twenty or so tries before I beat it. There is also an instance or two of bad design, where the player can meet an objective without progressing the scenario if they don't follow the instructions to a T.

Haven't done the remaining campaigns, but the civs seem well done and blend pretty well with the original title. There is also a new huge map setting, which is actually pretty awesome. But like I said, I haven't done much random map battling yet to really get a good feel for them.

I honestly do love PC gaming... but the only games i ever genuenly enjoyed on PC that don't use a controller, are counter strike: source, and Payday: The hiest. other than those two, i was never able to get used to the whole, keyboard, mouse, scenario...

I like the PC version, although I'm stuck on Xbox until my gaming computer is built. Right now, though, I'm content with Morrowind.

sounds fun! i built my own computer as well. all i need is a better graphics card but im just glad it works at this point.... it took me 2 years to get the money to get the parts i have now, and i just ended up pulling my graphics card from an old hp in my basement...

oh well... like i said, good 'nuff

I have Oblivion and Skyrim both for PC and PS3.  Honestly, I find playing on PC a much more enjoyable expirence. And you can mod the game!

However, im planning on getting an Xbox 1 which I will use in place of my current PC. This is mostly because my PC is quite old, meaning it can't run games like Skyrim on high settings. That kind of spoils the game :-(

I would prefer to play on a good PC, but because I don't just play Elder Scrolls, I'm going to move to Xbox 1 so I can chat with my freinds easier, and for a better graphics-wise expirence.

How is this a thread. Obviously PC wins, which is why I'm finally switching.
