So Skyrim Remastered come out with the full set of dlcs and everything in about 3 months. With this change we get mods. I want to know will the mods be worth it? I've heard that their will be a limit of 2 gigs for your mod pool. I've also heard that's not that big compared to the size of mods, so can any modders out there tell me just how big or small 2 gigs is for a mod pool?

Mesh and texture replacers a can be a few gigs in size. Expect to see mods that alter content, rather than add new content. You'll never see Skywind on a console.

Console mods will be very restricted because consoles arent that strong to begin with, as LiquidHurlant said you wont see modding on a console like you do on a PC with new dungeons, spells, animations, houses, and graphics. they might be able to fit into the 2gb but they require SKSE which consoles wont have.

what you can expect will be more like Unofficial patch fixes and some crafting mod.

Its confirmed that there will be quest mods, character mods, environment mods (surely not ENBs?), dialogue mods, armor and weapon mods and more. Could we see things like Frostfall?

The TES Renewal guys also showed off recently how Skywind looks on it.

It'd definitely be neat if that made it's way to the console version.

Thank would be cool, but Skywind requires the player the own Skyrim and Morrowind and considering Morrowind is only on PC and Original Xbox, I don't see that happening, but it would be awesome if it were possible.

Wait Herma-Mora, you're the new guy. Welcome.

That's not why Skywind's a problem on consoles. The amount of memory required to dl Skywind is going to exceed the memory ceiling for console mods. Same with most texture overhauls.

I remember speaking with one of the people at Skyblivion and they never ruled it out for console, but they did doubt it. Saying it's better to have a pc for it.

Well, we do not know for sure what the memory ceiling is but so far on bethesda.net there have been plenty of different types of mods for xbox one so I think the theory that the console will be limited in mods doesn't really work. Personally, I would rather see Beyond Skyrim on console than Skywind or Skyblivion

The mod limit for Fallout 4 was 2 GB. Would could assume the same for Skyrim, but that could change later.

Just read an article from gamerant and it says skyrim's mod cap size is 5 gigabytes so its a large improvement over fallout 4

Skyrim Remastered was/is a mistake. Bethesda should have focused on improving the Creation Kit and add in the content that they have already done in this video and leave the rest to mods. Their main goal should have been to bring mods (as good and as many) as possible to the console while still giving PC users something new. All I see/hear about Skyrim SE is that although it looks nicer that vanilla Skyrim it is very buggy. Just look at this screenshot from the latest "update". All Skyrim SE did was bring vanilla Skyrim up to 2012 modding standards, almost.

The video link above shows finished work by Bethesda from 2012. What I would have wanted Skyrim SE to be wouldn't have taken more work than what was already done and would have made a better game for all systems (PC and Consoles). Visually Skyrim SE is "better" than vanilla Skyrim, but there are so many mods already that will make it look 100% better than that. Bethesda should have left the "god rays" for modders to make and should have actually focused on make a fresher Skyrim.

If anyone disagrees, please give your opinion. If I am wrong I would very much be pleased to find out. Thank you.

All you say is true for PC users.

But consoles are really happy about the mods and improvements.

Still, Bethesda could have released a much, much better Skyrim SE for consoles while not having to do anymore work than they already did. They could have focused more on fixing bugs with the current Creation Kit and that would greatly improve console gaming.

You are right. Hasn't the new Creation Kit entered beta recently, though? I hope they'll improve it in the future anyway.

I think the beta is done now.
