Try using the Edit tab at the very top of the page just under the title.  It should be in the same location as where you would go to edit a book page.

Didn't even think of that, heh. It works, thanks.

It took me a moment or two to figure that one out myself.

Hey guys. Great to see the site up again. Can't believe how abnormal it felt not having it at hand.

I have to say I expected the site would have a new sort of look/feel to it. I'm a tad disappointed in that aspect, but I'm immensely glad you're back, and I want to say thanks to all of you librarians and assistant librarians and others who work and play here, for keeping this wonderful place alive and well and hopefully growing. :)

One thing I'm really enjoying about the new site is how much more integrated the forums feel! I love having the navigation bar and the search box there at all times, it's a great improvement.

Something I'm not enjoying though is the old look of the site remaining, the brown isn't too nice. If you're taking suggestions on the look, mine would the background changed from brown to a paper colour, like that of the PGE3.

I understand some of the disappointment. It seemed as if we had two groups of people: The ones who didn’t want a change at all and the ones who would be happy as long as it wasn’t a wiki.

I like the familiar feel we get with Drupal. It was one of the things that drew us to the management system. As far as the look is concerned, I hope we can work on updating it.  I hesitate using the color of PGE3 because I don't want to be accused of copying UESP.

As I've said elsewhere, I think a look based on the way the Imperial library was made in OB would be great. I might research Drupal myself to see just how much can eventually be changed.

I, too, wouldn't mind using the Imperial Library in Oblivion as a source of inspiration.

Hey yo my avatar won't change. As much as I like Felix Mendelssohn he's starting to bug me

Not sure who Felix Mendelssohn is, but right now your avatar is a dude going through the snow. It was different before, so its changed at least once.

[edit] never mind, nows its a dude with a "hope" sign. Doesn't seem to be a problem to me.

Maybe try refreshing/deleting temporary internet files? Could be your browser isn't recognising the change yet.

Yes, this place is as good as any, and thank you for wishing us luck.

The blue text in the Timeline hurts the eyes.

EDIT: Ah, I see. It's a bunch of missing links. Sorry...

It's not finished yet, as you see. Timeline links to various other pages, and those pages need to be finished first.

We're already aware of the fact that the forums don't show updated threads properly, right? The icon doesn't change and the links stay red...

It seems the forum icons only change when there are new posts and not when existing posts are updated.  Your best bet is to use the "Recent posts" link on the navigation menu.  Unfortunately, while we are updating the Library articles, those forum topics tend to get buried in the mess.  Things will eventually slow down. Also, once things do calm down, we can start to work on refining the look of the Library.  I'd love to see same new forum icons too.

I was a little confused today when I tried too logon too what I expected too be the "New Storyboard", but I finally realized that it was a completly new forum. As I see it The Imperial Library now has two forums, this new one and "The Storyboard". Now I have two accounts with the same username. Will the old board remaind online or will all the old posts from the Storyboard eventually be transfered too the new forum.

This is most likely just personal preference, but I find it annoying (and tedious to work through) that texts such as the Monomyth, Vehk's Teachings and the Intercept (among others) are now completely divided into sections so that the text cannot be viewed as a whole.

Would it be too much trouble to add an extra page with the whole text?

@Stacet - The Storyboard will become read-only soon.  No posts will be transferred over unless one does it oneself.

@Luagar - We will eventually add an extra page to the major, multiple-section books (36 lessons, 2920, et cetera) where they can all be viewed as one, long page.

Is it possible to make the post per page smaller? 50 is a whole lot, typically 20 is used. Its not too much of a problem in threads with short posts, but it can be a real hassle when people write a lot.

Yes, it's just personal preference, but we have discussed on this issue. So we decided, for "very" special books, we will add another page which contains all the texts in one page. Just for an example is the 36 Sermons . So, what other book do you suggest to have this special page? Not all obviously.

I'd honestly do it for all

If not, 2920, Brief History of the Empire, Song of Pelinal, and the Monomyth (based on things I'd need to search through on a regular basis).

The obscure texts could also use single pages, especially the Nu-mantia intercept and Vehk's teaching.

Yah, those books are important and usually viewed as whole, so that Ctrl-F can be used. Let's see...

I'm with Lady N, the more the merrier, but certainly for those already mentioned.

I think it would be nice to offer both options for all of the books.

I know I'm in the minority here, but I always found the 36 Sermons so overwhelming when they were, basically, 36 Sermons all taped together in one long chain.  As far as research goes, I like my information in managable chunks.  Each Sermon can be so different from the next and breaking them up helps me focus on the information in one Sermon at a time.  Also, and most importantly, when we start to tag our information here, we can really refine and sort our information very effectively.  When sections are divided, we can tag them more specifically.  For example, I can tag Rain's Hand, Book Four of 2920, The Last Year of the First Era with "sotha sil", "oblivion", "psijic", and "arteaum".  When all twelve 2920 books are strung together, we will have to tag the entire document with many, many tags.  It's still useful for research purposes, just not as specific.

Again, I find having all the books on one page just as valid as having them divided up. It's nice to have both options available.

It would be nice if those pages with the whole book could reuse the single involumes pages, including tags and all.

We can just leave the big volumes untagged, or tag them with the most general terms. Someone who is using the whole book view is probably someone who has already read it (I need the sermons for Ctrl+Fing for terms or for comparing references throughout), so presumably they wouldn't need the tags as much.

That was mostly the Maintaince minded guy. I don't want to have to fix books in multiple places.

Well it is possible:

Think I found what I need:

http://drupal.org/project/views

Going to try that tomorrow allong with more modules.
