Oddfrid White-Lip's Prophecy

My question to all of you is, what do you think about her prophecy?

"When the dragon dies, the Empire dies. Where is the lost dragon's blood, the Empire's sire? And from the womb of the void, who shall stem the blood tide?"

She is clearly talking about the Septim bloodline, and is suggesting that without it the Empire dies. Which it kind of does, after Martin's sacrifice. How is a new Emperor - or any Emperor not of the Septim bloodline going to restore the Empire?

(I'm reading The Infernal City currently)

She was foreshadowing the Oblivion crisis. That chunk was part of the Oblivion preview before the official announcement.

As for the empire... its been ruled by non-septims plenty of times before  It might be hard, but its certainly possible to unite it again.

The Empire won't be reunited. At the very least, not in the sense that the old Empire was. For some reason I just don't think a second Tiber is going to come along after the Elder Council fails to pick up the pieces. If the Elder Council fails to pick up the pieces. Though the chances of their not failing are slim, what with an army of undead argonians bearing down on the IC and all that.

White-gold's clearly poised to fall, if it hasn't already. With it goes Tiber and Cyrodilic unity, which we already see has collapsed. Time has argueably won this Tower back.
