All of Cicatrice has escaped into the caverns of the oasis. This is only a temporary solution, of course. I estimate that my research should be completed within a season or two. Luckily, food and clean water are abundant.
Clanmother Abaasi still does not completely trust me. After all, I am an outsider to her people, newly arrived and of another race. But what choice has she now? This plague has decimated Cicatrice, and the town has been reduced to ash.
Only my actions can save these people now.
