Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

What did you get for Christmas, if anything?

I got a few Steam gift cards, some clothes, and The Elder Scrolls Anthology pack!

I got a hole in my pocket, Axe products, and a good old shot of melancholy. Gotta love Christmas. I think I'm gonna treat myself and buy some mead online.

Merry Christmas all.

I got two books - The Prince of Nothing Book 2: The Warrior Prophet and The Way of the Bow: The kyudo path to a disciplined mind.

I also got some nice new khakis and lights for my bicycle. I also went to see 47 Ronin with some friends.

I had a very relaxing and good time overall.

I'm so jealous of those who got the Anthology !!!!!

That was the thing I wanted the most, but, stupid of me, I only talked about it once, like months before Christmas, to my younger brother, and expected that somehow, the information would travel around in the family, because it would be rude to outright say "I want THAT for Christmas". Sadly, it didn't work. Oh well. I got lots of home-made things (honey products, everything made from wool, and I mean literally everything you could imagine, because I live in a colder place than I used to for the moment) some quality make-up, which is always good, because I can rarely afford it myself, a few books and a CD ... Lots of candies and stuff. Overall, a Merry Very Late Christmas to everyone and Happy Hist Year!

P.S. : I tried to watch "Vikings". It was a snore-fest to me. I was already laughing at the super emo pagan metal soundtracked opening credits. Still forced myself to watch a few episodes, and wasn't hooked, like at all. Characters are card-bord cut-outs, we learn nothin new and interesting about the culture, and you can see the plot twists from miles away.

Overall, I feel there are very few really good viking movies or TV shows out there that don't portrey them as overplayed overstereotypical axe-wielding blondies and not much else. Maybe someone could recommend me some? Don't even get me started on Thor (I know, it's not really about vikings, and it's a Comics adaptation, but what they did to Nordic mythology is plain disgusting).

If you are looking for a good tv series, I would recommend Breaking Bad... Love that show.

I got a toaster, a book (Silk by Alessandro Baricco) and three dvds (John Schlesinger's Marathon Man, Thomas Vinterberg's The Hunt and Steven Spielberg's Lincoln). I use the toaster every day; I've begun reading the book; I haven't open the dvds yet.

I hope everyone had great time and wish you a happy new year.
