Someone told me I could do that before, I'm just not sure if its worth the effort if I'm not going to be posting there much.

Hey all, just registered after lurking for a long time. I'll see you all around! :P

Hello. My name is Chaplain, and I enjoy rainstorms, long walks on the beach, complaining, and this song.

Hello to all. Some here might remember seeing me on here briefly for one post or two. I'm Rockmaul, and as should be obvious, I'm a Star Wars fan. Star Wars doesn't come close to TES in my heart, though. Since I've been having a dry spell role-play wise, I've gotten into writting a fan-fiction and also trying to mod. Hopefully I can some day join the discussions on this site, but I'll be giving more questions than answers for a while.

I play the console versions of TES.

You can all shun me now.

Hi, I'm JanO, new to this site and to TES, but a big fan of both allready. Enjoying the discussions, the data files, the fan-fiction. Thanks all for making a great site.

Meow. I had another name at the old TIL forums. I can't remember if I started an account here or not, but my account information had disappeared from TESF, so I decided to start a new alias altogether.

Good day.

I am doing the introductions. Despite the fact that I obviously should be renowned enough that no introduction should be necessary. But despite all odds, my name is rarely known by those who have not had direct contact with me. Basically, I am just a modder, who used to hang around the good old chat channel. Since I am doing so again, I thought I might as well register on these new storyboards. My bookmarks were all for the old ones. Heh.

Anyway, hello.

Please don\\\'t eat my shoes.

I figured I'd get an account on here finally.  I'm ALKENO (yes, all in caps, but I really don't give a crap if you type it with or without them), which is my handle everywhere.  I'm also on the Bethesda Forums, so you may recognize me from there.  Three things to know about me:

1)I have a mouth of a sailor in real life, but I try to tone it down online for many reasons.

2)I'm never serious.  Ever.  If I offend you somehow (which I probably won't), it's probably snark, and you should disregard it.

3) I have a bad tendency to write very obtusely and use lots of parentheses (like this; I also tend to use sesquipodilian words too often).

With great love,

ALKENO

This is Oat Khetoor.

I was a raised by Bourgeois Wolves in a modest townhouse on the edge of the theater district. Ma-wolf and Da-wolf taught me the thrill of the hunt and the clean aesthetics of Modern Art.

Now I fight crime with the power of love (failing that, high-kicks to the neck and chest).

Hello, TIL community! I'm Brock. I made an account forever ago, but I go through seasons of posting and then putting my head into books. Some other forums I have been active in are the TES Rebuilt under the sn "turtleman04" (yes, i know....) and on the Bethsoft forum as "bum1218" trolling about.

I'm excited to finally have some free time this summer to go forum-active again, and hopefully post a bit instead of convo-creeping. :)

*Removes top hat*  Ello'. I suppose I've been lurking here long enough, and decided to finally register here properly. In writing this, I just remembered how bloody horrible I am at writing introductions. Anywho, thar I be, I hope I can be of some discussion service around here.

Hi,

I'm ladyonthemoon. I'm trying to find my way on this site and this forum. I've read most of the books in Oblivion and Skyrim but I feel like I know nothing about the lore, so where should I begin to learn more?

Actually, I'd like to become a "lore buff".

I'm told there's a thread on the official forums about becoming a lore buff, though I can't comment on how effective it is.

Personally, if I were going to try and do it, I'd do it by going to the forums and attempting to answer questions. If you don't already know the answer then you'll figure it out in the process of answering it, if you do already know (or think you know) then you'll be able to engage in discourse about it, which will in turn also increase your knowledge (and secure your knowledge through constantly repeating yourself).

Really, that's the way it happened for everybody else...

Read and play the games. It's that simple really. If you're interested in the subject and/or games, all you have to do is get as much out of them as you can. Retention of that information is on you though. Once you have that, you can get into the "outside the game" lore. Novels, Dev stuff, Temple Zero, etc. There's no actual order to it, it's just easier that way for someone just getting into ES.

I'm sort of puzzled by the prerogative of wanting to become a lore buff, as that should be something that comes naturally (IMO), just by experiencing the medium. Or, "getting everything out of your ES," a prerogative I always try to live by.

Thanks! The idea of learning by answering questions of others is quite good; I think that's what I'm going to do. Where is there such thread here? Sorry, I'm still having troubles finding my way.

The official forums thread you mention actually send us here. They say that it's the best place if we want to learn.

Thank you!

I'm not exactly new to ES games, so I guess that people who know less than me could consider me a lore buff; the only thing I know, is that many others know a lot more than I do! I'd like to know as much as they do.

Hail Librarians!

I have travelled distances far to reach the promised land of TIL. From the lore-barren wastes of Skyrim General through the Monkey-Speak of the Lore Forum I bring gifts a half-arsed, probably/mostly wrong compendium of TES knowledge.

I'm lilrhys both on TESF (Bethsoft Lore Forum?) and the TESlore subreddit (it's not that bad in all honesty).

 Suppose I should post here.

I'm Muertos, same as on the TESF. I'm an incoming freshman chemistry major at the University of Ooooooooklahoma-where-the-wind-comes-sweeping-down-the-plain. I like to think about the realities of science in a world where the Sun is a literal hole in the sky and sunlight is made of Magic. I rarely post without my tongue in my cheek.

Hi!

I'm Sifrael, come from France (so please excuse me for my spelling). I'm very interested in TES lore, and finally decided to come there, to ask my (many and pointed) questions, and try to discuss about lore.

Hi!

I'm Sifrael, French TES player (excuse me for my spelling) . I'm very interested in lore, particulary in obscure lore, that's why I finally decided to come  here.

And, please, try to stay calm when I'll begin to ask silly and pointed questions about the 36 Lessons, or when I'll share my (many) crazy theories.

Hello all! I just joined. I've been a long-time fan of this world and its inhabitants, my favorite being the Imperials, Dunmer and Dwemer. I hope to be writing a lot of fiction here and adding to the wonderful mythos. So yes, hi!

See you around!

Hello fellow Imperial Library forumites!

My name is cowpat...or rather that is my name on these forums...if I was actually called cowpat...ugh.

Anyway, tis good to be here to discuss lore. I am not by any stratch of the imagination a lore-meister like some of you chaps and chappettes are, but I like to learn about lore, so I thought this website would be the place to be. Some of you I recognise from UESP (those being pilaf and sajuukhar.), where my username is cowleyj.

So, to cut to the chase...Hi! I am happy to be here.
