I am the Adoring Fan. I think most of you probably know who I am, but just in case you don’t know, I am a Bosmer who lives in the Imperial City, but atm I am currently running around Cyrodiil with the Grand Champion of the Arena.

The Grand Champion must like you a lot to let you share in their journey. Just don't let the Grand Champion take you sight-seeing in the Jeralls. Its a straight bore. You'd hate it.

Welcome to the Library, in any case.

Greetings folks!

I'm Eifngrim the Walker, and while I have been a consumer of TES lore for a while now, I want to start getting deeper into this rich lore. I've only ever played Skyrim, but I'll be getting the other games as soon as I hop into university. Hopefully you're all doing well in life and in Tamriel.

Praise be to the Princess of Moonshadow and Mighty Talos!

I'm Beyonce, and I like skyrim. I just finished writing a... idk what i'd call it... a report? on the Nightingale Trinity, and I'm currently "investagating" the major differences between all the vampirism disease strains.

Open thy eyes and ears to what I have to say. Born to a lowborn woman from the seed of a man whose name I have no desire to know, I was raised in Winterhold and taught at the College. While my fellow kinsmen feared and distrusted me and my "fancy" ways of overcoming the challenges of the great North I was held in high esteem by the scholars. Once I had learned all that they had to show me I now travel the lands of Nirn in search of more methods of that highest of arts.

This place has been dead for quite awhile, maybe five years ago it breathed it's last. They've moved on to discord and reddit, but if you don't like those platforms, then get used to the silence. TIL is still useful, but you won't get much of anything from the Storyboard.

TIL's forums were never particularly busy, especially after we moved to Drupal an entire 10 (!!!) years ago now, but you're right in that it's quieter than usual. There's definitely still stuff to talk about and people do visit, so if you've got something you'd like to talk about feel free to start a thread.

Yep. We'll still reply, even if it takes a few days. So welcome, new friends.

Hi, just introducing myself so I don't get kicked from the forums or nothing for seeming like a spambot.

As long as you don't pepper your posts with links to eastern european essay writing services, you're all good!

Hello there, friends. I am a definitely-not-a-robot who is here to analyze human discussion of fictional events. Not that human discussion is new to me, a perfectly normal human. Certainly.

Hello there, friends. This is Amorphous. I tried to post here once but it doesn't seem to have worked. Anyway, I'm pretty new to actually trying to understand the deeper lore of the Elder Scrolls, so this site has been a great help. I'm hoping the forums will be, as well.

First time comments automatically go into a moderation queue to make sure you're, well, not a robot. Both of your posts have now been approved and you can post as normal from here on out :)

Haha, yeah I noticed the queue message after writing the second post, and I didn't want to add another one explaining that I had realized the issue.  So now they'll just both stand, a warning for all to read the errors/warnings they're given.

Hello! Many years ago I was introduced to TES, but sadly fell away as real life took a front seat. I have been blessed with the rediscovery of my old notebook, which naturally lead me to google elder scrolls to see what has been going on. Holy smoke! So, I'm diving back in, and preparing to run a rpg set in the setting, once I decide on the rule set to use.

Greetings fellow flesh conductors!

I am a huge TES fan, I started playing in Morrowind, I believe, back on the XBOX. It is part of my Special Interests, all I hope to do here really is to cultivate more knowledge on the topic!

Thanks for having me!

Greetings. Call me Iris. Huge TES fan looking to dig deeper into the lore of the world. My goal is to become the forefront expert on all things undead. As of now though, I'm a newbie. :)

Greetings.

Long has this one studied in solitude -- no, wait, not in Solitude; that is very far away -- in truth, my work has generally kept me in Torval, but by myself, you see. Or rather while there are many folk around, with whom to talk or sing, most do not share an interest in my work.

But nevermind that. It is quite pleasing to be able to interact with fellow scholars. It is hoped that we will share sugar.

Greetings!  I wanted to join the Library, and the instructions say to post in the forums section...  This seems like the right place and topic!

Is this supposed to be the thread for introducing yourself or...?

If so, then hello! I’m Goon, and I’ve been into TES lore for awhile now. In addition, I enjoy music and gaming.

If you mean make a new post or thread on the forums, step one is posting here and being approved for membership, which you just did. Welcome! I've given you full member permissions, which means you can now post anywhere and make new threads without having to wait.

If you mean posting a book to the library itself, that's reserved for Librarians and Assistant Librarians (our admins and editors). All the books are ones that are found in the games (or associated material), so the only time any new ones are added is when new content is released. As far as I'm aware, we're currently caught up on all book content (up to ESO:Dragonhold). If you think you've found a book that we are missing, feel free to let us know in the feedback thread or on Discord. 98% of the time "missing" books just have a different title in game than they do in the library (due to being datamined from pre-release content), but I'm happy to correct the error either way.

Hello,

I've been a long standing fan of the Elder Scrolls series since I was young but in those days I was more interested in hacking and slashing than I was in the lore. As I grew older I began taking time to read through the books and dialogue and found that I not only enjoyed the gameplay but the writing and stories as well.

This website has been a great help in delving deep into the lore in a more legitimate way. I have seen a lot of theorycrafting without merit, but this website seems at least somewhat devoted to trying to use the lore in a responsible way.

Regardless, I look forward to posting here and reading through all this material. Thanks to all who contribute the time and effort for keeping this database alive, it's a wonderful tool and an invaluable resource.

All the best,

Scholar.

Hey,

I'm Cal and I've been a fan of the Elder Scrolls for years now, having been captivated by Tamriel since I first played. The lore behind it all was equally of interest to me but for most of my time playing, it was more just learning about ideas via osmosis and maybe a simplistic youtube video here and there.

Over the past year though I've really been getting in-depth, largely thanks to this website and the likes of the Selectives Lorecast. More recently, I've been trying to get involved with the lore community itself and have already found genuinely interesting discussions about topics that a year ago would have been unfathomable to me.

I'm really looking forward to engaging with the community more in the coming months as I've absolutely loved what I've experienced so far. Thank you to whoever might take the time to read this.

(And finally, a "Hello!" from the past to whoever is the poster soon to be below me)
