Hi, my name is Ben. You can call me... Ben.

I'm prone to writing concise articles on metaphysics, geography and local demographics in fictional worlds. My current goal is to create a concise corpus for all work pertaining to metaphysics and magic without getting too much into legend and myth, i.e. Aedra and Daedra yes, A Children's Anuad no.

Hello! I've been playing Oblivion and Skyrim for years now, and have recently gone on a research binge on lore. The anthropology of fictional worlds has always fascinated me. I want to do some more reading before I get into any discussion or attempt to contribute in any way, but I thought I'd sign up for now and drop a quick introduction.

Hey! Joined the forums to help expand the library with snippets of lore articles from ESO. Specifically looking at the Groundskeeper's Letter. Where would I post that/who would I give it to?

Welcome aboard!

For the books, we pull things directly from the data files via a gigantic spreadsheet which I update whenever a new update drops on PTS. We're a little bit behind on some of the books for IC (of which Groundskeeper's Letter is one), but everything up to and including Murkmire and Abah's Landing should be up by the time Wrothgar is released.

What would be useful is reports of any discrepancies between TIL's version of the text and what is in the live version of the game. Things do change sometimes, and the data is quite a bit too big for me to comb through and compare for minor edits each time there's an update.

Hello. I always have loved the Elder Scrolls lore and I am a huge fan of the series. Elder Scrolls Online is by far my favorite game.

>>>Where do I start? I had been introduced to Oblivion in 2010 by a close friend at the time, but didn't really become aware of the ElderScrolls series at as a whole until I bought pre-ordered Skyrim for myself the following year and became more interested in it, stumbled upon the official lore forums, and everything went downhill from there. This day, I've spent over 1000hrs on Skyrim alone and at least 50% of that must have been from the first few months of ownership of the game. I must admit I was playing on PS3 and my interest slowly dwindled after repeated crashes and repeated delays on the release of expansions, but more recently I've a rekindled interest in it.

>>>My original character suffers the effects of a centurion automation and probably always will (yes I've sent bug reports = isolated issue response), the effect stops me from seeing enemies around me and I always get done-in, but I got to level 81 so can't complain. Recently I decided to start anew to play for the other side, becoming an imperial dog at level 1.

>>>Since I have played Oblivion a little more on my own, and have also dabbled in Morrowind and Daggerfall on PC but didn't get too far with them. Still, they're on my backloggery to attempt at a later stage for the story.

>>>Anyway as I mentioned before at one point I was really into the lore, and I guess I want to get back into that here. I still hadn't completely wrapped my head around all the creation stories but understand basic principles. I'm also very interested in the fifth era, and dreamsleeve manipulation. If anyone wants to talk about that stuff feel free to message me :)

>>>Ps. Thank-you for being one of the few sites to load on a 56k shaped connection, having an active forum, and one of the best repositories of ElderScrolls stuff about.

Hello!

I'm Angela, but feel free to call me Sanngird because that's my character's name in Skyrim.  I'm 21, from Brazil and I'm almost finishing my degree in History.

I've first got in touch with TES world back in 2009 when I heard about TES. I played a bit of Oblivion while I was waiting for Skyrim but since I never had any console and my computer back then was trash (I used to play Oblivion at my cousin's when he'd let me) I didn't learn much from it. It was only in early 2012 I got in touch with Skyrim and with the lore, so ever since then I have been seeking more knowledge about it.

So yeah, I've been gathering information about the lore ever since 2012. I knew of the Imperial Library for a long time but never actually thought of registering. Now there we go. I hope to get deeper into lore now and get to learn more obscure aspects of the games being the nerdy historian I am.

(OK I've talked too much ddsjklfsdh)

Hello all,

The purpose of this post is two-fold:

1] I just joined and don't want the Librarians to remove my account before I have a chance to post a thought out posting.

2] Statement of Intent: I joined to discover more about the lore surrounding the "Origins" of Nirn. I have decided this is the most logical first step on my quest. That quest being: deciphering a potential history linking the Fallout version of Earth (as the Past) to Nirn in the Aurbis universe. I have heard a fan theory about Fallout and the Elder Scrolls belonging to the same universe (For those of you playing Fallout 4: I wont say anything to spoil it. For those of you who want to know you should google it.). The coolest part of this theory, in my opinion, is that Nirn is actually in the future and Fallout/Earth is in the past.

Soooo... I have decided to get my money's worth out of my college years by applying concepts I learned in some of my classes to trying to flush out a potential link between these realms. Namely my classes on: Ancient History, Ancient Religion, Anthropology, Astronomy (the science, not to be confused with Astrology), Geology, Environmental Systems, Supernatural Folklore, and (possibly most importantly) my art classes and fiction writing as they taught me to create and to BS (Anyone who has been in an art class crit will understand).

I will make a longer thread soon to begin to break down my plan of attack but for now I just wanted to say hello and put out any feelers to see if anyone else out there is curious or wants to help in my crazy endeavor. I don't know very much about this lore yet and could use a hand. Send me a message if you want or stay tuned to see what I have to say. (I intend this to be a fun thought experiment rather then a search for an undeniable link. I saw on another forum when someone brought up a similar question some people blew a gasket)

Oh and for the Librarians: I will try and limit my content posted on your site to topics pertaining to the Elder Scrolls realm as much as possible. If you could, however, bear with me as I feel this may become a rather fun topic that could change the way people think about the Elder Scrolls.

Sorry for the long post and look forward to talking with you all,

[ASNK]

We don't generally remove posts unless they're super duper inflammatory. You'll do just fine :) Welcome!

We do occasionally remove accounts when they have never posted anything. Usually when a wave of mechanical-turk style spam bots drives by. Nothing to worry about though. Just recreate it or post something. :)

Wagwan everyone. I've got to admit that I use this website to find good lore articles all the time so I guessed I'd register to join in on the fun.

I'm just now realizing that I never made an introduction and just kind of poorer into existence. Anyway, I'm Diego, but you can call me Cordate. I really got into TES lore through playing Morrowind (though I still haven't finished) because it led me to videos on YouTube that were just Morrowind jokes that mentioned CHIM and Vivec. And that was when my descent into my only serious fandom began.

Hello all!

Just wanted to make the obligatory 'first post' before delving deep into some lore. I've been lurking around here for a while, so it's nice to finally be a member.

Do any of you think the Nerevarine is still alive in Akivir?

Yes. I think he's hunting Tosh-Raka in Akavir, as he last took the mantle of Huntsman Bold, before turning his spear in that direction. He's the Turok. That's just what I think.

But what Lusty Dov and Fiore said : Welcome, scholar.

Hail and well met! I'm Kararq, a fan of the Elder Scrolls for some time now. I am an aspiring writer (writing is my passion, and I intend to pursue journalism) and I love lore of all kinds. I've taken it upon myself to start reading up TES lore, and maybe even write some things myself. Only time will tell.

Greetings! I'm The Evil Argonian, but I often just go by Evil. My two RP characters go by Erizon and Elinri Pelori, both Argonians but neither evil, ironically. I'm very passionate about elder scrolls lore, and hope to learn even more from you guys here!

Ju'rohn, there. I have been wandering the pages in the library for some times now, and I decided to come a little closer. I'm a scroller since TESIII:Morrowind and I got lost in Tamriel plenty of hours since. I particularly  love the dunmeri culture and I like to create around it.

I take this opportunity to thank all the Librarians that make an amazing work here. It's always nice to read your lines.
