Didn't we have this topic on the old boards? I broke my username with an email address typo. Anyone else with a new moniker, identify yourselves.
This is paws.
The librarians can edit usernames, so just holla if you need it.
I'm Brian...S
Perhaps a lil' tasteless.
Internets!
Hi I'm Jeroic (Hi Jeroic) and I'm an aspiring writer, because most writing from the past 100 years is tripe on a bike and someone needs to try and fix it.
You obviously haven't read Thomas Pynchon, then, whose V. is currently causing me to suffer spontaneous orgasms of varying intensities.
On that note:
Hi Internet! I'm Adventurous Putty. We don't talk about how I got my name, but needless to say it's a harrowing tale of danger and adventure. I use three spaces in between my sentences because I can. I, too, would like to learn the dark arts of the writercraft. The fact that I use three spaces in between my sentences may or may not prove a hinderance to this endeavor.
I'm bubbly, pretentious, and never actually know as much as I pretend I do. Nonetheless I've become exceedingly good at the facade. I like long walks on the beach, etc.
Huzzah!
Hello and salutations
My name bu grace of God is gro-dhal but my real name is Rev. Michael Obasanjo. I represent 1st state bank of LAGOS, Nigeria.
I join forum after tragic death of mister T. K. Adejoa, principle of 1st state bank of LAGOS, Nigeria. He loved righteously the games of the Old Scrolls and wished fellow good Christian fans of MARROWINE and OBLIGATION and DIGGERBALL to share in his SUBSTANTIAL FINANCIAL INHERITANCES. PM me for details

Face/fonejacker?
And hello, I'm The Old Ye Bard, TOYB for short (definetly not TYOB -I hate that guy). I'm mainly a modder/art geek, but know enough about lore to get by, (mostly anyway). I do some cool maps too. Quite fond of Elsweyr/Khajiiti lore, it's not completely alien, it's just a familiar kind of weird.
Huh, so this place finally got fixed up.
I am vengeance. I am the night. I. Am. Lofely!
this is tortus
You have more names than Sload.
Oh yea, I might as well introduce myself to anyone who doesn't already know me. I'm Lady N, and I'm a librarian chiefly because I have too much time on my hands and am willing to spend 8+ hours a day copy/pasting text. When I grow up, I want to draw pretty pictures.
I'm Bohr III (son of Bohr the Axe, grandson of Bohr the Great). I guess I'm new to the forum but I've been using the library for years. I really like what you guys (the Librarians) have done with this site, say thankya.
A Stephen King fan, huh?
I am Redsrock, but you can just call me Jeff. I like that better. It's more personable. I like to write and read, and I enjoy watching baseball (and playing a little when I can).
And speaking of Sload, is he here? I admit I haven't looked around that much other than the writing forum.
Yes, but for some reason he's taken up the pseudonym "the new reformed Dunmerdude", its rather odd.
oi reds.
Gormanilius here, hope everyone is doing fine. On the irc channels often now if anyone needs me.
Now, late night studying. Boo-ya procrastination.
A Stephen King fan, huh?
Aye, so I am. I've been reading through the Dark Tower (as you can tell). Just got to Wolves of the Calla.
It's a tremendously written series, though I do think they start to fade in quality towards the latter two books. I was especially displeased with the final book, The Dark Tower. I don't know... it just didn't have the excitement that the others had. Tis my opinion, at least. I still very much enjoyed them. Did you know he's writing another Dark Tower book?

They are very good. I particularly like the first book and the flashbacks to Roland's past.

So I've heard. Don't know much about it, though.

Oh. I assumed that was Dunmerdude. Explains a lot, actually.

It IS Dunmerdude. Lugar was joking.
Oh. Then I am baffled and befuddled as though cursed :P
I was just messing about anyhow. Now I need to work on this encroaching home invasion.
'Lo everyone. I have missed this forum and its regulars very much. I decided to start visiting again because, hey, why not?
I am a college brat right now, and I maybe want to be a Literature professor. Some of myy favorite writers include Cormac McCarthy, James Joyce, Ernest Hemingway, Thomas Pynchon, William Faulkner, Tennessee Williams, Joseph Conrad, Albert Camus, Shakespeare, and the Russians from the 1800s. So, no, the last 100 years have not produced "crap." I also like Hitchcock, Coen Brothers, Charlie Kaufman, and Terry Gilliam movies. I just started watching The Wire, and I think it is pretty fantastic so far. Currently my favorite tv show is Arrested Development.
I maintain my position.
It's come to my attention my "last 100 years of writing" opinion has been commented on elsewhere by someone who apparently has a cross-forum bitching fetish. Just saying (because I know you're watching), the authors you listed are exactly why I think that, along with T.S. Eliot. Have a nice day :D
I am J Yo, and I'm back from Belgium. I seem to have misplaced my old account, which had an absolutely awful name anyway. I've been trying to brush up on lore ( I used to think I knew something 'til I stumbled upon this site).
<--(new smileys :)
I might not have had a "the" in front of my name before; that's abou the only difference.
Hi, I'm Outlander. I joined the old forums right as they died.
So, here I am again! All introductionalized.

How about Calvino, Vonnegut, Bolano, Eco, Bulgakov? Or basically any genre writer?
I'm Torikton. Back for a while. Will probably vanish again soon. Not too good with commitment.
Hello, librarians.
Brand spankin' new member here, can't write to save my life, but I enjoy thumbing through your collection.

Hurm. I think Eco's okay. Vonnegut's stories I like but his skirting around the sci-fi label tends to burn my blood.
Notice I said *most.*
