The Nede landed with a stagger and cough, steadying himself against a wall that had previously been another surface. Seeing the Captain's attempt at burrowing through, Jarrod took over the job, "You all right? What happened? Where are the others?"

His mind was spinning trying to take everything in; Barusi was clearly injured, but surprisingly ambulatory. Hopefully the others had managed to avoid doom similarly. At least one was still alive, when he realized that the keening he'd previously heard was not imagined.

"Elgin! Abbi! Talk to me! Where are you?" He continued to call to them, grunting in between has he heaped detritus from one side of the corridor to the other.

"OH HEY!" Blood spattered out of Elgin's mouth as he coughed a bit. "Jarrod! You decided to join us! How... whuh..." His voice dropped off suddenly as he lost the will to speak. He leaned over onto his elbow and propped his bloody head against his fist. That kinda hurt too. And now he couldn't lift himself back up.

"MRHHHHMMMHMMHMMGGHHH THIS HURTS..."

Jarrod croaked, "Elgin!" His face slid downward when he saw the other's condition. "Don't move, I'm coming!" Faster, he pushed and pulled his way through. At the injured man's side, he could only make apologetic and sympathetic half-words while he surveyed the injuries. The blood was a really bad sign, internal hemorrhaging was almost certain. Something would have to be done about that leg, and the very real risk of a concussion meant that Elgin was probably going to have to be wide awake whenever that something happened. With a paternal sort of reassurance, Jarrod laid a hand gingerly on his shoulder.

"Hey, you look pretty beat; long flight?" It was all he could think to inject some levity somehow. "So, how's everything?"

Favonius cracked his neck. He had tracked the flying ship since word came down that it should be watched. He checked his weapons, concealed to his satisfaction. He stroked the larger pistol with the long, wicked bayonet lovingly. His clothes were plain and unassuming. Baggy enough to conceal anything that he could reasonably need, and tight enough to keep them from becoming a hindrance.

He liked chasing. He didn't need to think as he chased. There was just him and the prey. He wasn't sure how he felt about that designation, but he only considered that between chases.

Chasing was his life. His drive. As he worked his way to the crash site, he slowed down. It was unlikely that there were survivors, and any survivors were probably injured. He tried to avoid anticipation, the way some of the older members said to do, but he couldn't help but think ahead, and ask what he would do. He smelled cooked earth and blood.

As he got over a rise, he saw movement. He took off the safeties on both guns, but kept them aside. He walked nearer. He saw one of the relatively uninjured ones. He recognized him from somewhere. Thinking back hard, his instincts screamed "Blade." His instincts had only failed him twice before, so he followed them.

"Do you need assistance, sir?" He shouted.

The question may not have been directed towards him, but Barusi heard it, and turned in the direction of the voice. He thought about simply yelling for help, but a small grin creeped across his face.

"No, no, we're fine!" He yelled back towards the stranger. "What gives you the idea we'd need any help? Just a routine crash and burn here, possible loss of life, not much to worry about! Take your time getting down here, we can spare a few people, I'm sure!"

Rolling his eyes, he simply said to Jarrod, "I guess the most obvious of things escapes this fellow, huh?" If Barusi had any chance with which to lighten his own mood, it'd be in that rather harsh abrupt humor he was expressing now. His crew would be fine, of course. He didn't expect any fatalities.

"I didn't ask you, Dark Elf." Favonius said. "I just hope I don't forget how to field-dress wounds out of distress at your jibes."

Seeing the other Blade's concern, he ran over. Looking at the leg of the man he was holding, he grimaced. "Nasty. I don't know how to treat that, but I do have something for the cuts. Just a quick field kit, not enough for everyone."

He looked harder. "No clue how to get that leg right."

Jarrod paused, a flash of recognition at Favonius, then nodded with a grateful smile for the assistance. "Do what you can for him. I can take care of the leg, but I'm afraid to move him; I know we have to, though, he needs help. Do you have a vehicle?"

Without waiting for an answer, he began pushing deeper into the ship. "Abbi! Anyone!" His voice was becoming hoarse from screaming.

"Oh gods, Elgin!" Nara had slid into the ship behind the newcomer, but only after seeing her friend did she make herself known. "Jarrod, we have to--!"

"I know!" He barked, cutting her off. She frowned, turning back to Elgin. Too much to do.

"Well, ma'am, I wouldn't worry too much," Barusi said, glancing over at the lady who had come over. "Elgin's certainly the worst of our issues here, the others are just trapped behind this little coverage here. They'll be back out soon enough, just have to take care of it."

As he turned back to the digging, he said over his shoulder, "So, what're your names again?"

Holding Elgin's hand, stroking it like a kitten, she stared at Jarrod's back as he pulled himself deeper into the ruination. Her other hand brushed over her belly a few times, then she patted her injured friend's hand and returned her attention to the others.

"Nara Agata, I--" she was cut off abruptly when something fell, eliciting a loud curse from Jarrod. She ran her hand over Elgin's hair, "I'll be right back, hold on," she told him and slid past them all. "Jarrod, please, let's go get help before you hurt yourself even worse."

He ignored her and muttered angrily, shoving against a busted hatch. His grunting became a roar as the metal groaned in response to his assault, until at last he was through to the other side. Peering after him into the darkened chamber, Nara watched as Jarrod checked the young woman within for injuries.

"Abbi, can you hear me?"

Without a word, Favonius left his field kit by the man with the backwards leg. He didn't have a vehicle. Certainly not one large enough for the ever-growing group of misfits. He hopped over behind the other Blade.

"How many people were on this ship?" He asked. "I'll go in and look if you're missing anyone."

Jarrod's voice did not even reach her. All she heard was a low beating, which was all around her in the empty darkness. It felt strange, as if she was floating. She noticed her other senses were gone, there was only the constant beating. She felt nothing.

Had they landed yet, she wondered?

"I don't know," to Favonius. "Three more that I saw, at least."

He didn't move her, didn't touch her, unsure how hurt she might be, but at least she was breathing. He continued calling to her. "Abbi, please, wake up. Can you hear me?"

"Right." Favonius nodded. He walked past the unconscious woman and down to a room closer to what had been the bow. He smelled the blood. He had to blink the frenzy out of his eyes and breathe deep as his sight went briefly red.

He went into his deep place. Enveloped in the quiet dark, his Agent Face came up. Inside he beat down his memories of being too late.

"There are two deceased. Human and Orc." He said, flatly. "I don't see the third here. I'm going farther in."

Certainly not feeling up to chatting, Elgin resigned himself to the occasional grunt and groan as he was shifted slightly in order for his wounds to be dressed. His leg had stopped bothering him, and now felt cold. He wouldn't have gone so far as to say numb. Numb was a bad word. Come to think of it, cold was bad as well. Best just not to feel anything.

He chuckled, a meager attempt to try and cover up his coughing. Blood came up from his throat. His beard was sort of itchy. He lifted his hand to wipe it clean of blood. Naturally he had to look at the grotesque juice emitted from his body, ensure himself it was only his imagination. But his hand was red. And yellow. A weird yellow. He sniffed. "Someone... nose clean--" A fit of coughing cut him off. "Nara? Please?"

"The hell?" Barusi said, in response to the words of the man who was now working to dig through the rubble. "How can they be dead?" He was about to follow them, knowing they had found someone, but stayed near Elgin and Nara, figuring they could use a third person on hand.

"Here, he can use this," Barusi said, pulling off(with some difficulty) a strip of his sleeve, wincing at the pain in his arm as he did so, before handing it over to Nara. "He's got to recover as quickly as possible, I'll need him for if I find a way to repair this thing."

The Blade uttered a strangled sound at news of the deaths, but did not acknowledge them further. He knelt at Abbi's side and gently brushed her throat, taking her pulse. "Nara, please, go help Elgin," he mumbled distractedly. He leaned closer and called to the unconcious woman again, "Abbi, c'mon, please wake up."

Hesitating for a moment behind Jarrod, Nara returned to Elgin and accepted the strip of clothing from the Dunmer. She made no attempt to hide her revulsion as she cleaned the musician's face, holding the cloth with pinched fingers and wiping tentatively, but said nothing to him; instead, she focused her incredulous annoyance on Barusi, "Does he look like he'll be able to help you any time soon?"

The beating changed, softened, and slowly senses returned. First there came the sounds, whispering of voices; then came the pain, along with something brushing over her throat. A bug, was her first thought. Finally came the sight, which took several seconds more because it required opening her eyes.

Where Abbi expected a ceiling or a wall, or whatever, was surprisingly a face. It looked a bit like Jarrod, but she was not certain because all was blurry. And Jarrod was not on the ship, a voice noted in the back of her head. Still, she had no other name to call him, since it really looked like him.

She asked to be confirmed, but her voice did not fully cooperate. "...ehrod?" was all she could manage for now.

He wanted to cry. He smiled grandly and gratefully, holding her hand with reassuring firmness, "Thank the gods," he murmured past the knot in his throat; he didn't think he could handle any more death on his conscience. He cleared his throat, "Are you hurt? Can you move?"

Her head felt like it could explode any minute and something in her arm did not feel right. She blinked a few times in an attempt to see better. She figured she lost most of the screws.

Her voice gained some strenght, although it was still raspy. Then, "Are you aware that your face's bruised? And that looks like a cut."

He couldn't help but laugh, "You should see the other guy." He sat back to give her room, "Tell me how you feel, can you move?"

Focusing on being able to answer that question, she moved a leg, saw it went quite well, and moved the other as well. Next she tried to sit up, which went alright until using her left arm, which painfully resisted. It was the headache that hurt her the most, though. As she sat up, the pain spread to her neck, where it settled and stung. "In a way," she replied.

"All right, if it's too painful, then just lay still; I have to go check on the others, Elgin is in really bad shape. I'll be right back for you, I promise."

He patted her hand, but was already up and leaving before she could respond. She felt something in her hand, its edges poking into her palm--it was the screw she had given him earlier.

Back at Elgin's side, his features hardened into grim resolve as he tore off both sleeves from his jumpsuit. "Elgin, I'm going to fix your leg so we can move you." As he talked to the young man, he rolled up one of the sleeves, then offered it to him, "Bite down on this, Nara hold him still." The woman nodded and squeezed shut her eyes, pressing her hands on Elgin's shoulders as Jarrod gripped his leg. Before any hesitation or protests, the Blade became a blur and there was a very loud POP as the joint snapped back into proper place.

Abbi stared at the little object in her hand and smiled. With some effort and a shot of pain from her shoulder to her fingertips, she took out her small pouch. Counting the few she had left, she put the screw with the others.

One.

Elgin bit as he was told, dying to scream out a foul curse to the damned ship that he was put on. His heart began to work harder and another fit of coughimg overtook him as blood sloughed into his lungs. After the initial shock of his nerves being shifted a few centimetres from where they should be, his leg almost completely lost sensation. Merely a burning tingle was left around the joint. "The fuck did you do?"

"Re-located your knee--it was either that or chop your leg off, second option is still open if you prefer." The scabbard of watchful kindness had been removed from Jarrod's voice, and he was now sharp and serious. Reclaiming one sleeve from Elgin, he used both to strap a splint to his leg, a rigid sliver off of some console. That chore done, he returned to one of the bunks he had passed getting to Abbi, and tore off the plank from under the lost mattress. Back with the others, he instructed Nara and Favonius to aid in carefully sliding the slab under the injured man.

Nara noted the detatched intensity of Jarrod's face as he worked, saw the oozing fracture that had begun to bleed when Damon died. Her last friend in the world was probably dying in front of her, but all her sympathy was for her dead boyfriend's brother.

I'll kill him. Swear I will, ran Darus' thoughts as he trudged gloomily onwards, stopping only to ensure he was on the right track. He had never been fond of the quarry he was tracking at the moment. Something about Favonius had always put Darus ill at-ease. Gave him the sort of feeling he normally only had after a heavy night of drinking. The morning-after feeling was bad enough. That he should be subjected to it in other circumstances as well kindled a small fire of anger in him. Luckily, this kept him warm as he made his stoic way through the chilly air, following the path Favonius had made on his trip through the woods. A trip made while he was nominally on duty. At the gate. Meaning anyone could have simply waltzed up and let themselves into the last bastion of Imperial Power in Cyrodiil. Or Nirn, for that matter. This was a fact Darus had no intention of keeping to himself when he finally caught up to Favonius.

So he thought, at least, until his downwards-looking trek brought him abruptly to the crashed ship. Darus nearly stumbled over the trench plowed by the craft's disastrous descent. With a short cry of surprise, he caught himself before he vaulted head-first into the ditch. This cry was repeated when he followed the groove and saw the thing that had dug it into the cold earth. His sharp trackers eyes quickly spotted the gap in the hull, and after a moment's thought which brought him to the conclusion that Favonius must obviously be inside, he made his way towards it. Peering inside as best he could without actually entering, he cupped both gloved hands around his lips and called, "Favonius!" For the moment all thought of reprimanding the man had fled Darus' mind. For the moment, he would only try to sort this mess, no pun intended, out.

Jarrod's eyes widened in recognition at the voice. "Darus!" He hesitated, not wanting to leave Elgin, but relieved at last that there was a very real chance of getting them all out of this situation and to safety. "Help!" It was all he could think to say.

"This place is getting crowded, Jare," Nara observed.

"This room here used to be more than twice this big," Barusi mumbled, kicking at pebbles laying around on the ground. He suddenly seemed unusually quiet, looking about the cabin, and at the not-so-fortunate of the crash. He obviously wasn't where they are, glancing at small places and such that used to be of pristine condition and location, now crushed into rubble or molded into odd angles, like the old Daedric shrines of Morrowind.

With a sudden wince of pain from his arm, he snapped back to the conversation, and said, jokingly, "So, do we have the time to fix my ship? Or are there still robot overlords out to kill us, my good ladies and gentlemen?"

Elgin remained calm and trancelike on his cot, the liquids trickling from the various lacerations and associated orifaces across his body. There was that yellow again, sickly and runny and messy in his beard. His head felt light, like it was slowly getting bigger and bigger. It felt slippery between his fingers, and it was then that he realized it was definitely not snot.

Something was buzzing, but Abbi could not tell it was her or some machinery. More people she did not know were entering and the guy she forgot the name of was not looking good and getting worse. She seemed to be quite lucky, although she did not feel like getting up yet.

For some reason she did not like the woman. Strange, since normally she liked almost everyone. Well, almost meant she at least disliked someone. So in this case that-- Her thoughts raced through her mind and gave her an even bigger headache.

Enough sitting around, she then decided. It was clearly not helping. She searched and found something to hold on to and looked at the people. With regained strenght, she then spoke the only words she could master, "Jare? You make it sound like you can fill him up. If you want to give him a nickname so badly, choose one that suits him. Like Jay. Jay-Jay. Now that I like."

With that, a smile curled her lips as the buzzing went on annoying her.
