Pardon, librarians (or able patrons). My next character lived on the coast, enjoying sailing, fishing, etc. Are there any first-hand account books of experiences in the navy, an experience of sailing in Tamriel, or, ideally, Altmeri navy accounts?
Oh my. Well that story escalated quickly. Thanks for the recommendation.
Anything on avatars of the divine and possession, as in taking over someone's body?
Can't find the books at the moment, but there is the mantling of different gods and Daedric Princes, which is kind of like taking on their power and the person doing it usually (if I'm not mistaken) becomes the god/Daedric Prince they've mantled (see Shivering Isles where your character mantles Sheogorath).
Thanks, Tauryon. I'll look into it. I'm working on making an "Avatar State" mod, and trying to keep it lore friendly.
I really want to mantle Akatosh, walk up to Alduin and say "Who's your daddy?" or "Someone needs a spanking."
Hey I'm a new member and am just looking for some general information or lore skooma, moon sugar, skooma pipes etc. Any help would be awesome thanks!
Which of Vehk's sermons is the one associated with his doctrine of love?
The Scripture of Love is Sermon 35.

Try the search function in the side bar. Just those words will get you pretty far. If anything, check First and Third Pocket Guides to the Empire about Elsewyre and Words of the Clan Mother.
'Sup.
Am thinking I might do some sort of a post on the Red Moment, and want to make it quite comprehensive and make sure I've got every relevant source.
So far, I've found:

Varieties of Faith... includes a very interesting tidbit on Nerevar.
I think it's kinda fun that you're linking UESP texts on TIL :P Here are a few additional ones off the top of my head:

Hey, it's not my fault UESP is the first hit on google! :)
Thanks!

That's 'cause I compiled them just going through the citations on UESP :P

Should I be so lucky, all I got is Wikia. :(
I usually have to specify TIL when I look up a book in Google, otherwise I don't see the site at all (which is rather disheartening, if I may add).
Hello! First I would like to introduce myself. I'm Xalos Promythos, currently living in Skyrim. I am truly fascinated about the Elder Scrolls world, with all its characters, cultures, stories...etc. I was looking for a place just like this to learn more about it and also publish my thoughts. I am currently reading about Tamriel's Lost Race - the Dwemer. The things they left behind are truly amazing and their sudden disappearance intrigues me. I have read the Imperial Library's guide to the Dwemer, but i would thank anyone who gave me other sources to read from or ideas to share about them.
The definitive article on the disappearance of the Dwemer is the Final Report to Trebonius. I encourage you to give it a read and let us know what you think.
Thank you, Bibliophael! I shall read it as soon as possible and report back to you.
I've been seeing some people mentioning Lyg in places I wouldn't expect. Has something happened in Thispace that I should know about?

Bibliophael, I have read it and many other accounts. The matter is complex but highly intriguing. I have found Luagar's work to be extremely reliable and well developed, as I have mentioned to Anchorite in another thread. I liked the way he broke all of the subject into a controversial question: "Who hit the heart?". With this in mind, we could speculate the possible alternatives until we finally reach the truth, if that is even possible.
I don't know if this is the right place, but I found an error. The book "Valenwood: A Study" is using the incorrect text. Instead, the entry uses the text from "The Wood Elves of Vallenwood" from the The World and its Creatures of the Edietic Memory collection.
It should be replaced by the proper text from the Malabal Tor Lor series.
Huh, that's a weird one. Not sure how that happened. I've gone ahead and fixed it, thanks for letting us know!
(For future reference, this thread is the best place to report errors)
How do you post!?!?

I'm trying to read up on the Great Houses of Morrowind, specifically House Indoril. I can't seem to find much on them though. Would anyone here be able to recommend me some literature?
Cheers!
Does anyone know any books, especially obscure ones, that take place on Alinor? I've read a few; one that comes to mind is Firsthold Revolt and another one that has Almalexia conversing with someone from the Psijic Order (Iachesis?).
Also, anything on the Psijic Order would be much appreciated too.
I'm trying to make a collection of known Altmeri lore for easy reference (as well as Aldmeri in general).
Rising Threat is about the Thalmor. It begins on Summerset during the oblivion crisis.

Try reading the last paragraph of Great Houses of Morrowind

I'm afraid I'm not a Morrowind specialist, but because the other notaries don't seem to be available I'll see what I can find on the subject.
