The method is simple. Let them think they're about to make a bit of easy coin from an old man. "Look at him, he can barely hold his fishing rod," they think. I see it in their eyes. Then, once we've brought them deep enough into the woods, we show them who is weak. We always do.
I split our take with the others once the deed is done. Fair's fair after all.
Oh, how I wish I hadn't lost my ring. I felt true power coursing through me in those days. It came off when I had to defend myself against a hammer blow. It splashed into the stream near where we hold our "contests". Maybe I could pluck it back out of the stream one day. Maybe.
