A'Tor, Prince

Appeared in: TESA: Redguard.

Prince A'Tor was the official heir of the second era Highking of Hammerfell, Thassad II. When Thassad II died, the Forebear launched its rebellion against the Crown. Prince A'Tor tried to uphold Hammerfell, and won many of the battles over the Forebear. The Forebear then made a deal with Tiber Septim and let the Empire interfere. Prince A'Tor was slowly defeated and cornered in the Island of Stros M'Kai.

Tiber Septim wanted to vanquish the Crown and the Prince once and for all, and sent the Imperial Navy, led by Admiral Amiel Richton, to Stros M'Kai. The Battle of Hunding Bay was fierce, and Richton was forced to use his secret weapon, the dragon Nafaalilargus. When Prince A'Tor rallied his force to face the dragon, a single poisonous arrow hit him, shot by Dram, the Dunmer assassin. The Archmage Voa desperately tried to save Prince A'Tor but his healing skill proved insufficient. Instead he froze Prince A'Tor's body in a stasis field and transferred his soul to a soulgem. The dragon Nafaalilargus ended the Crown resistance and Amiel Richton became the Imperial Governor of Stros M'Kai.

Later on, Cyrus and his sister Iszara, along with the Restless League, managed to collect the soulgem. With the help of Saban, the Yokudan witch, they tried to resurrect Prince A'Tor, whose body was hidden in the Temple of Arkay. However, the unthinkable happened. The soul was not transferred to Prince A'Tor's body but instead entered his sword. Although the Restless League was initially discouraged, Cyrus managed to rally their forces for a final fight, led by himself and the sword of A'tor, which seems to have maintained the prince's memories and life force.
