Bibliophael, mind if I post after your "Hold" post? I'm gonna do a quick edit of my original post, basically about the night before at the tavern.

I'm almost done anyway, but go ahead.

I would also love to join! I know there may already be too many people, but hey, the more the merrier, right?

Just so you know, Therence is going to get increasingly cranky as more people join the party. This shouldn't be taken to mean I, Bibliophael, am trying to drive you off; it's just that in general Therence hates people, and he's already unhappy about how many it seems he's going to have to deal with.

Makes sense. Good character trait coming into play, I see.

Cool, didn't want to step on toes. Enter a drunken master Colovian monk.

One post in and your character has already roasted my Dunmer like Red Mountain roasted Vvardenfell. :/

Haha, not a roast, you were just the last one at the bar. My original post that was delayed while I waited for posting privileges had my dude stumble to your table, sit down and say, "You from fucking Morrowind?".

Damn, he's really cold towards Dunmer. What did they ever do to outlanders like your character?!

Oh he doesn't really have much anything against any other race, he's just incredibly foul-mouthed and crude. He's that kind of asshole. And much like his drunken fighting style, his cursing and turns of phrase are meant to anger or confuse people so he can get an upper hand or have the element of surprise. Mix Al Swearengen with the American boxer Emmanuel Augustus.

Sorry for not waiting for you, Fiore, but I wanted to post my newest post before anyone totally ignored Beleric ;)

Ahem, not sure if my post was seen by anyone or not, but I'd still like to join if I'm able? Sorry if I seem... pushy, or anything.

I'll reply today but I have to warn you that there's a fantasy convention in my city this weekend. I will not be able to reply more often than once a day and won't reply at all on Saturday. Just wanted to let you guys know if you wanted to RP more over the weekend. Sorry of this causes any delay.

"Same time, lots of 'em turn to whatever's goin' on in that crypt. Mastery over death and enslaving souls. Never could take to me, how fuckin' small a person's gotta be to do that all the while knowin' it's a dream and believin' it's a bad one. Cunts." -Cave, you made my day xD

Oh god, I'm so sorry for posting after Fiore said 'hold'. I only realised she had posted after I had already sent the reply. I'll edit it accordingly once she posts. Sorry everyone!

No problem at all! I just incorporated Yaalon overhearing Ervesa offering to help with the funeral.

Anyway, the post is finally up!

Before we continue, can we straighten out what exactly is going on, and where everyone is?

Therence was on his way toward the tavern entrance when he took the shot. He's still standing in that vicinity, and I think he was just thanked for killing the zombie by the hunter who dragged the corpse back to town? Yaalon has also joined him at the doorway and complimented him on his marksmanship. I think Ervesa, Cayliss, and Omekh are gathered around, but he doesn't know Ervesa yet as anything more than 'that dark elf Omekh was chatting up at the bar.' Of the assembled, Cayliss, Omekh and Ervesa all seem interested in sticking around for a corpse-burning, while Yaalon appears ready to be on his way.

We've also got a drunken monk somewhere, and a Khajiiti sneak-thief blending in with the crowd. Have I missed anyone?

You've got it right, Bibliophael, I think.

Anyways, Fiore, is the smell from Yaalon's little ritual strong enough to be smelled by Ervesa?

I think that's a good idea to get the start of the adventure proper all solidified. My next post for my guy will be outside the tavern, I'll be typing it in the next few hours while I'm at work here.

Probably. It'll linger a little bit. Yaalon is so used to it he doesn't take notice.

I regret not mentioning here that I didn't mean for us to attend a funeral*, but rather to facilitate it and be on our way. Beleric's wife should be present for that after she wakes up, anyway.

I also just want to point out that Omekh still doesn't know Therence's name, nor Cayliss's (no one knows her name, either,) and he only knows Yaalon's name by hearing Therence say it at the tavern last night; Ervesa doesn't know anyone save for Omekh.

Our monk still has yet to sync up with us chronologically and our thief still needs some sort of opening, albeit she seems to be getting closer.

With the mages conspiring to leave without the rest of the party, we risk making things more nebulous. But maybe that's by design? It might help to coordinate, but I get if that spoils some of the fun.

Just some thoughts.

Only one mage is currently conspiring to leave without the rest of the party; the other hasn't had a chance to voice an opinion yet.

It's only a matter of time now before my character gets to meet with everyone else. But if somebody wants to jump the gun and skip the waiting, feel free.

Yup, my bad. I meant 'cremation', you can even see I contradicted myself by calling it a pyre after.

Finally made my post, sorry guys. First encounter actually speaking to the group, made a chance for us to gather in the tavern briefly to talk actual planning for the main event, another chance for everyone to do introductions? I can change it too if need be. I personally don't mind fucking around in Carrickdown for a minute, but definitely no months of luxurious waiting before Frodo goes to Rivendell.
