Swims-at-Night
Ah, I love a good storm! Makes the seafaring life interesting!
Tyr
How about pirates?
Swims-at-Night
No, they’re right bastards. Treat an honest smuggler like a common merchant! (Sigh) There’s no honor among scoundrels.
Swims-at-Night
I stole this cargo fair and square. Let’s send these dishonorable thieves into the brine.
Pirates
Look alive men, or this storm will toss you about!
Chapter 10: Unwelcome Intrusion
Player
The pirates are defeated and the ship eventually wrecks somewhere on the coast.
Tyr
There’s no sign of Laaneth. You think the crash killed them all?
Swims-at-Night
Maybe. Or maybe it was the locals.
Player
A group of Spriggans attacks the crew, and are defeated.
Kellen
As the Spriggans fell, the travelers spotted one beckoning them into the woods.
Nagh
Nagh would have followed, but mother always said this one was too curious.
Choose follow Kellen Curiosity served the travelers well. Whatever its reasons, the creature led them straight to their quarry. | Choose loot Kellen The adventurers did not trust the creature – and found a treasure it had no doubt hoped to lead them away from. |
Chapter 11: Rescue
Kellen
The Cultists had taken refuge in an ancient ruin. Only to fall prey to its ferocious new inhabitants.
Tyr
Laaneth!
Laaneth
I could use a little help here.
Player
Fights the goblins that are holding Laaneth prisoner.
Laaneth
Thanks for the rescue.
Tyr
Are all the cultists dead?
Laaneth
Yes. And if we’re not careful, we’ll be too.
Be careful. The goblins had a powerful chief with them when I first arrived. You’d better finish off as many of them as we can before he comes back.
Kellen
Laaneth had learned that the cult was secretly led by Lord Naarifin, the Dominion warlord who had captured the Imperial City.
To bring about the prophecy, he intended to sacrifice all of the city’s inhabitants.
Laaneth suggested they seek out the Imperial Army, then in exile in Skyrim, and warn the emperor of Naarifin’s plot.
Chapter 12: Tangled Web
Swims-at-Night
I don’t like these woods.
Tyr
This is the shortest way I know to Skyrim.
Laaneth
But not the safest.
Player
The crew is forced to fight a nest of spiders. They win.
Kellen
In the spider’s web, they found a High Elf merchant calling for help.
Isha
Did they free him? He might give away their location to the Dominion.
Nagh
This one would have taken his gold.
Choose rob Kellen Just so. They relieved the merchant of his purse and continued on their way. | Choose help Kellen The travelers would not leave him to die, whatever the risk. |
Chapter 13: The Brawl
Tyr
No one in this tavern knows where the emperor’s forces are camped out.
Laaneth
Or maybe the locals just aren’t fond of the Imperials.
Player
A bar brawl breaks out, with our heroes caught in the middle.
Laaneth
Why are they trying to kill us? Are they assassins? Dominion operatives?
Tyr
They’re Nords. This is what we do for fun.
Chapter 14: A Fractured Legion
Laaneth
If the locals weren’t lying, the Legion should be nearby.
Swims-at-Night
There they are!
Tyr
Hail! I am Tyr, knight brother of the Blades.
Swims-at-Night
They don’t look pleased to see us.
Imperial Deserters
We’re not going back there. The Imperial Legion is doomed!
Player
The travelers are forced to fight the deserters.
Imperial Deserters
Oh no. Look-Legate Cassia’s arrived! Run men!
Legate Cassia
Well, look who it is. Thanks for taking out those deserters for me, Tyr. Have you come to serve the Emperor once more?
Tyr
Cassia. We need to speak with him immediately.
Kellen
The emperor was horrified to hear of Lord Naarifin’s plan. But he knew an attack on the Imperial City was doomed to fail.
Somehow the Dominion could predict his forces’ every move. The hero volunteered to infiltrate the city, and discover the source of this ability.
Nagh
Was the city not guarded?
Kellen
Ah! Well, you see, Naarifin had recently reopened the Arena. The hero resolved to pose as a gladiator to gain entry. Once inside, Swims-at-Night would lead them to a secret passageway into the White-Gold Tower.
