Hello everyone,
I'm starting this RP off with an announcement before the rules.
This new chapter of the RP, I predict, will be a short one, focusing solely on
the conflict which we have set up over the past few months. We will see how well
the heroes of Ald Raathim fare against the ever-encroaching death that awaits
in the west.
This will also be the last RP chapter for our role
play during the time period between Morrowind and Oblivion; after
War of the Wormgod has finished, there will be a reflections and epilogue
thread to tie up any loose ends and to set the scene for our characters in the
final days before the events of Oblivion, and then the RP will take a haitus
for a month or two, while we all play the new game till the wheels fall off.
Since we are entering the grand finale of our pre-Oblivion RP campaign, I am
hereby stating that we are not accepting any new
players until after we start up again post Oblivion. We apologize
for this arbitrariness, but it's not a good idea trying to shoehorn new faces
into the plot when you're playing out the last battle. Everyone will be welcome
once we start up again.
Loranna[1]
Hello,
and welcome to our Elder Scrolls Role Playing threads, where we adventure and
socialize in the vibrant land of Tamriel.
Before we begin, we'd like to clarify a few things:
Loranna's Roleplay, while an open roleplay where everyone is invited to
join, is not a limitless or unregulated game. There are rules we have set
ourselves that make roleplaying easier and more enjoyable for everyone of us.
Please take the time and read the following guidelines carefully and, more
importantly, act according to them.
1. Have fun!
2. Fun does not mean you can do whatever you want, though.
Let us please clarify some points. While everyone is welcome to join in, they
are NOT welcome to jump in and do big, world-changing things without DISCUSSING
IT FIRST. Let's be very clear about what cannot be done without permission:
Affecting other characters:
Any action that effects another person's character, for ill or good.
Although most people realize they can't harm another person's character without
permission, many don't realize that you can't HELP another character without
permission, either. Many characters have flaws for a reason. Don't go healing,
saving, or otherwise fixing another character without DISCUSSING IT FIRST with
the player involved.
Major Events:
Any event that would drastically change things that have been done to the
world, whether the change is physical (rebuilding destroyed locations),
political(converting a population to a new cause), military (killing off all
the badguys) or anything else. Almost every situation, good or bad, that exists
in the RP was done for some reason. Don't go changing or fixing things without
DISCUSSING IT FIRST with the group.
For the purpose of coordinating this RP, backstage fun and discussing current
and future events, we have established a chatroom on chatspike.net, chatroom
#Loranna_RP. We strongly recommend that you have a glimpse in there, since it
is the easiest and most convenient way to discuss characters and settings,
explain rules, plan and give you the background information you need to play in
this RP. If you cannot get on the channel for some reason, or if the
player whose character you would affect with your plan is not there, then PM
them using this board's PM function. That's what it's there for.
If you do not have MIRC, you can http://www.chatspike.net/?p=javairc. Enter in
a nickname where prompted and hit Submit. You'll be asked if you want to trust
the signed applet. Hit Yes, and you'll be in the main chatspike channel. From
there, type /join #Loranna_RP You'll enter our chat channel and we can
talk to you.
Here are various other rules, tips and information you should take time
to read before joining this RP:
1. Background History:
Loranna's RP has accumulated a rich background history. Of course, no-one can
know all that has happened in this RP, but it is important that you have at
least an idea about the major events that took place during the last
one-and-a-half years. There are a few posts of Loranna that explain the history
of the RP from her character's viewpoint and a summary of the events in the RP
is in progress, you can find them
http://www.tc.umn.edu/~rhod0091/lrp/temp.html. Another summary is available as
text file from Nalion, please ask via our chatspike channel or per PM to Nalion
for the time being. We are working on a more permanent solution to provide this
information.
The chatroom #Loranna_RP on chatspike is probably the best and fastest way to
get yourself informed about the RP, just ask the moderators and long-time
players there if you need any information. They will gladly help you. It is
also very advisable to read up on the most recent posts and threads to become a
grasp of what is happening right now in the RP. This will significantly help
you in finding a way to join the action and will reduce the probabiliy of
mistakes.
2. Reading and catching up on the RP:
We're a dedicated lot of players, and we love this RP. This means we put a lot
of effort in our posts, do a lot of planning and discussing to create our
plotlines. This requires time and dedication. And we require this of you as
well. This means, take your time to read the posts of the other players and
take the time to catch up on the plot if it progressed while you were away.
This simplifies your rejoin into the action. It is also a sign of respect to
the other players. If you don't have the time to read their posts, why should
they bother with yours, then?
Again, please let me repeat this, for it is very important. If you are not able
or willing to put time and at least reasonable effort in this RP, think again
whether you want to join this RP or not.
3. Gathering information
Gather information about the RP, be it asking in chat, by reading older posts
and getting up to date on the history or by asking via PM. No-one can know
everything, sure, but everyone can ask about what happened. We're glad to
assist! Again, this can not be done without some interest in the ongoings in
the RP, effort and a good bit of dedication.
4. Roleplaying
Roleplaying doesn't just involve making your character say something
(in-character chat). It also has a descriptive element. Motions and emotions of
your character, worries, joys, mimics, movements... we want to see them!
Describe how your character acts, this gives you a better grasp of your
character and will help your fellow players build up a relationship to your character.
It's not only action and big fights we have here in this RP, there is a major
social aspect to it as well.
5. Posting
Try to take your time to post. Yes, we are aware that there are hectic scenes,
like in big combats, where some things move faster, but is it in general a good
idea to look over your post again to check it. Yes, we know it sounds stupid
and obvious, but please care about spelling, punctuation and grammar. They are
not just things you learned in school once to forget afterwards. We are no
decryption experts. Those grammar rules have their meaning, and there are tools
out there to help you(word spell checker for example). Again, the chat is a
perfect way to ask for
time and coordinate with other players if you have problems.
6. Character control / multiple characters
Once more, about controlling characters that belong to other players: You
cannot control a character that is not your own (with a few exceptions, like
having talked to the player of the character beforehand). This means most
of the time the following:
* In combat, you can only try to attack another character, but whether
you hit him or how much damage is inflicted is up to the player of the
character, and only him/her.
* This applies to healing or helping the character as well; feel free to try
and offer help to a character, but let the other player describe the effects of
the healing/helping.
* Especially in combat, you have to work closely with the other players, the
chatroom is the best and easiest method to discuss these things.
Another thing related to this topic is referring or speaking to other
characters whose players are not online. If possible, try to avoid involving
characters when their player is not present. It ties down your character while
waiting for the other player to come back, and you don't know whether the
respective player has other plans when he is back.
Additionally, avoid generating scenes where you involve a character, affect him
with an action and finish the action before the player can react (stealing,
attacking, casting spells or similar actions). Example: No running up to
someone, rob him and run away to safety all in one post. This is a no go.
Controlling multiple characters. We have no written limits on how many
characters you may control; the limit is you. In general, it is very advisable
that you stick to one character when you are new to RPing. When creating a
character, it is VERY important that you consider your character carefully.
Again, this has something to do with effort and dedication. It is generally a
bad sign if you join up, post a couple of posts and then say you are bored with
this character and make a new one. Other players might get annoyed greeting and
introducing their characters to a new character when it is obvious that this
character will not last long because the player gets bored with the new
character. This RP is a social RP as well, and it is very difficult to
socialize with a character that is badly played, where you can see by the style
of writing that the player is already bored with the character and will throw
him away at the next opportunity. RPing is all about characters and your
character is your "representative" in this RP, your voice, your arm,
your mind. Please take this into account when creating and playing your
character.
As a general rule of thumb, use only one character until you feel comfortable
with him, can control him, have fun with him and the character is established
in the RP. The rest will run automatically after a while when you get more
confident and experienced in RPing.
7. Secret plans
Secret plans and surprises are seldom fun for anyone else. Before they're
revealed they're boring, because nobody knows about them, and afterwards
they're just annoying, because nobody knew about them. Examples: Your character
suddenly remembers that he has a castles all over Tamriel and calls in troops
to help. Or: Your character suddenly reveals he is a spy of the Emperor and
knows everything.
8. Ingame consequences of character actions:
Morrowind the game was rather lenient when it came to direct consequences after
a character's action. This is not the case in our RP. There are laws and local
customs, and there are guards and other authorities that are there to enforce
them. So, starting tavern brawls, stealing, murdering, open assault and all
other related actions are very likely to be persecuted and punished (this can
go up from your character ending up in jail, being banished or to be executed).
This doesn't mean that there are no murders or thefts in the RP, but it does
mean that if you do that, be aware of the consequences your character will have
to deal with.
9. Additional helpful information:
Please make sure that you read the following post of Allerleirauh
http://www.elderscrolls.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=141737&view=findpost&p=2871855,
dealing with some of the above mentioned rules, as well as the hints on
character generation done by Loranna
http://www.elderscrolls.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=141737&view=findpost&p=3828224.
Please take the above mentioned rules and information into careful
consideration, they will help you in joining this RP quickly and are useful to
avoid problems. And more importantly: act according to them!
** Not following the above advice will only result in two things: your
post is likely to be completely ignored by everyone else as if it did not
happen and/or you are asked to leave the RP. This is obviously not good for
anyone, so please, discuss major events before doing them and act according to
the rules mentioned above. **
Thank you, and have fun!

Starting point for Loranna: Loranna is in Ald Raathim, having been shown a
vision by the witches of Nirn that guard the sacred tree outside her domain, as
seen in the last thread of Playing Houses. Armed with the knowledge of what her
companions must first do, and now made aware that the party has but two days to
reach Goranthir's nanny before she finds herself overwhelmed, Loranna is
heading to light a fire under her friends' tails.[2]
Sentinel
The capitol of the mightiest kingdom in Hammerfell stood between the harsh
deserts of the Alik’r and the great Iliac Bay. Domes and spires graced the
skyline above, while the scents of spice caught the wind below. Within even the
most modest of buildings were beautiful mosaics, and the citizenry,
particularly now in the hottest month, were beautiful creatures swathed in silk
which showed considerably more flesh than those in the more modest provinces to
the east would have considered appropriate.
Prominent buildings in Sentinel included the Temple of Arkay, a circular
edifice of great magnificence, and the Royal Palace, high above the sea. King
Lhotun, eldest surviving son of the late Queen Akorithi and King Camaron and
brother of Queen Aubk-I of Daggerfall, commanded a popular reign.
Sentinel since the Warp of the West ruled over almost the entirety of northern
Hammerfell. Unlike Daggerfall, Wayrest, and Orsinium, there was little border
conflict. Yet, recently, horror had come to the land.
It was in Ephesus, a remote territory in the Dragontail Mountains which cut
through the kingdom, that it began. A group of mages from the local Guild had
gone to investigate the ruins of Scourg Barrow, the former haunt of Mannimarco,
the so-called King of Worms. They never returned, and shortly thereafter
contact was lost with all of Ephesus.
An aura of death spread over the mountains, slaying all who came within its
boundaries, man, mer, animal, or plant.
Then in Totambu to the east of the mountains, a dragon was spotted arching
through the skies. No sooner was it reported, then whole villages were
annihiliated.
No such attacks have occurred to the west yet, in the capitol of Sentinel, but
fear can be seen on every face.
From all across Tamriel, different factions have joined to combat the rising
menace of the King of Worms. The army of Sentinel is mighty, and one can see in
the harbor, the ships of the Empire. In the square around the Sentinel Mages
Guild, sorcerors, enchanters, battlemages, and other spellcasters of the Empire
have gathered.
The former Queen of Firsthold, Morgiah has recently arrived as well. Her son,
Goranthir, now a pawn of Mannimarco’s called Geht, is responsible for the
dragon and other beasts coming to the land.
The Tribunal Temple, the Temples of the Nine, the royal army of King Helseth of
Morrowind, and its rivals in the Civil War, the Indoril Redoran Alliance have
also pledged troops, though they have yet to arrive.
And the heroes of Ald Raathim have also heeded the call. [3]
The Nymph and
Noggin, Ald Raathim, Morrowind
Both halves of the tavern, the genteel Nymph and the rowdy Noggin, were filled
with activity. A notice outside was the Duchess’s clarion call to action, and
the warriors and adventurers who made their home in Ald Raathim were paying
heed.
The local merchants, particularly the armorers, had come to the tavern to sell
their wares to those heading east.
“You can’t kill undead with that iron sword, serjo, here let me show you
something …”
Of course, the wise recognized that armor and weaponry could be bought just as
well in Sentinel as in Ald Raathim.
In the village, there was a line of heroes and hero-wannabes queuing up for the
Guild Guide transport to Sentinel. In support of the battle to come, there was
no charge for this, but it didn’t keep the Guide herself from grumbling, which
was one refreshing part of business as usual.[4]
Back in Ald Raathim,
Loranna relates the vision and wisdom granted to her by the witches of Nirn,
who saw with blinded eyes the pall of death that covered the land and the
single-minded journey of Taolle, Goranthir's nanny, as she stumbled her way
toward her fate.
"We haven't any time to lose," Loranna says grimly, knowing that she
echoed earlier statments by her friend Nalion but not caring. "And we
haven't a single ounce of strength to spare. Those who don't go into the death
aura to support Taolle ere she reaches Mount Nombaje, will be needed to resist
the dragon and other beasts that Geht can command to attack again at any
time."
"I know, the struggle ahead looks daunting," Loranna continues,
looking to her companions, "and you are all my friends - I cannot and will
not order anyone to go. But I have fought alongside many of you in the past,
and even those of you I have but recently met, I tell you now, the scent of
CHIM is on all of us. Many of us have stood against impossible odds before and
triumphed; we must all do so again, and by the grace of the Nine and Three and
the strength in our hearts, we will do this."
"Those of you who will go, gather your things now and go to the Mage
Guild," Lornna says. "I will gather all my potions for restoring
fatigue to give to you; from this point on, those who will fight cannot afford
to sleep. Also will I offer what healing and fortifying potions I have, and the
elixers I have made to combat the death aura. We will distribute our weapons at
Sentinel and divide into two groups, one to venture to Scourg Barrow, the other
to aid the army in holding off any additional attack, until the death aura can
be brought down."
She looks once more into the eyes of all her friends. "The ruling king is
armored head to toe in brilliant flame; his every act redeems him," she
says quietly. "Go forth, my friends, and show the world why it is worth
saving."[5]
Isidor, Ingmar, and Tsei are all preparing for the battle. After gathering their supplies, Tsei and Ingmar go the Mages Guild, but Isidor stays back, to tell Kethiah that he is going. [6]
The Ra'Gada battlemage
Shaka, once one of the People of the Root, waited his turn outside Ald Raathim's
Mages Guild. He wore his usual mix of armor won or purchased over his lifetime,
and was now shod with steel boots. Buying a helm could wait until Sentinel,
perhaps. He bore the Spear of Bitter Mercy, and had Thom's glass kukri at his
belt.
Shaka felt less fear than he had expected. This is what we were born for,
he thought. There were far worse fates than fighting and dying in Nirn's cause.

Isidor finds Kethiah soon enough, helping direct people who want to know about
signing up for the army. She smiles at him when she sees him, and doesn't give
him a chance to talk.
"You don't have to tell me," Kethiah says, kissing him. "I think
I knew you were going before you did."[12]
Commander Slashes-With-Claws has been busy preparing himself and his men for the comming struggle. [13]
Valerius has stopped

Reeds is also at the guild, fighting between the urge help his friends and the
urge to keep the first promise he has ever made to the woman he loves. [14]

"I looked for you at the bookstore and the Nymph and Noggin," said
Glacia stepping over to Reeds before he got onto the Guild Guide transport.
"So you are going to Sentinel after all?"
Her face showed little emotion, but Reeds could tell what the expression was.
She was trying to be brave.

use a sword, I would leave that duty to Kallen, and go."[40]

"Then this is where I belong," Reeds said to her, "I made a
promise to you that I wouldn't go, and a promise to keep you safe, I intend to
keep both of them." [45]
P'Rassha is doing all
he could to keep everyone's morale as high as possible. The giant Cathay-raht
Khajjit seemed to be everywhere: in the Nymph and Noggin sharing tales of epic
adventures, within the soldiers' barracks narrating the great battles of the
past and in the street, helping the reconstruction efforts with his inhuman
strength and his stories.
Needless to say, the Khajiit's energy seemed to be bolstered by the upcoming
events, but even him wouldn't be able to be in two different provinces at once.
Between an epic tomb raid and a heartstopping chase in the Velothi Mountains,
P'Rassha managed to pack his things, including his beloved Violetta and his
faithful Nordic Battleaxe and later that day, he was making the line to be
transported into Hammerfell.
[46]
Summary
Erenius now is currently assembling those of his people willing to come with
him to Hammerfall. Thus far, it seems fifteen shall accompany them, with the
others remaining in Ald Raathim under Markir's command until Erenius and the
others return from Hammerfall. The time has come it seems, and the Imperial and
his assembled militia merely await the final order to go forth into Hammerfall
via the Guild. [47]

you to make one promise to me. Return."

[62]
"I promise," Glacia smiled, returning the kiss. "Now, go save
the world."[63]
After a lengthy wait it's finally the Redguard sisters turn...a flash of light and their transported to Sentinel...the smells of spices, the merchants voices, the unyearing heat, the massiveness of the Temple of Arkay...if not for such solemn circumstances Osa would be tempted to visit the Tavern [64]

[68]
Reeds smiles as he dissapears in a flash of light to Setinel.
Valerius is already there, trying to find out how many of his command had
decided to come as well. [69]
And P'Rassha made quite an appearance when he, too, was transported into Sentinel. For many people, the sight of a 9 feet tall Jaguar-like khajiit is unpreceded, for the others, it's a relief to see the mountain of muscles with a kind heart has answered the call. [70]
Loranna was still
preparing her things for the trip to Sentinel, but the armored figure of Gram
Pyrel makes his way to the Mage Guild, Trueturner and Flametongue slung on his
back and Frostkiss at his hip.
"Out of the humid heat of Morrowind and into the dry heat of
Hammerfell," he jokes to some passing Nords as they all make their way to
the guild. "Why can't these heathern bastards ever choose to lair in
cooler places anyway? Just once I'd like to work my sweat up from fighting and
not from the heat!"
Laughing, he winks to the guild guide, the Altmer woman rolling her eyes as she
transports the big hairy Nord to his doom.[71]
Sentinel, Vaan:
Vaan, upon hearing the news, had gone around the city gathering up all the
willing Muatramer that he could find, and had rushed them to Sentinel. Since it
was a somehwat hurried deployment, some of the troops were not ready enough.
They were now getting all the appropriate things they needed in Sentinel.
Vaan himself was in the process of putting his Muatramer armour back on, no
small task. His sword was sharpened and in it's scabbard, and he was ready for
anything the planet could chuck at him, well, almost anything.
[72]
Loranna was busily cooking the sacred Hist sap and Silver tear elixers into some tasty pie ...[73]
*...The Temple of Arkay, Sentinel...one very speedy Osa makes her way into the innerworkings, where she snatches the Mythril Vest she had earlier used...no doubt Ora wouldn't wait holding all the gear, and so her last words as she flung the Armor on running down the hall were: "Tell Father Tralen I'm sorry and I'll return it later"...* [74]

And Gram was welcomed by a warm jaguar hug.
"P'Rassha is happy to see old friend Gram managed to wake up early enough
to join. P'Rassha knows many old timers who wouldn't find the strength to lift
an axe. Are you sure P'Rassha cannot help you with something?"
But it was clear that P'Rassha was really happy to see his friend. [79]
Mages Guild,
Sentinel
It was chaos at the Guild, but it was at least organized chaos. The Emperor's
guard was there to organize groups after taking tally of names, nation or guild
of allegiance, and skills. A sizeable group was being put together to be sent
by the Emperor's boats to the east side of the Dragontail Mountains, so that
when the army made its move, it could crush Mannimarco from both sides.
There were also royal guards of the King of Sentinel, looking for the heroes of
Ald Raathim, who they understood would lead the vanguard assault into the death
aura. When they identified one of them, they would polite escort him or her to
the palace of the king.[80]

And we still need to have our wrestling match!"

Ald Raathim, who they understood would lead the vanguard assault into the death
aura. When they identified one of them, they would polite escort him or
her to the palace of the king.

P'Rassha matched his speed to match Gram's and continued to chat:
"P'Rassha would love to give friend Gram a lesson, but that will have to

The palace of Sentinel was filled with candles that released a scent of spices
as well as a warm golden glow. It was difficult to tell a guard from a noble,
for both wore silk and inscrutable expressions. There was hardly a body, male
or female, that wasn’t slim, well-muscled, and showing considerably more flesh
than their Breton neighbors. Still, the atmosphere of sex was subtle, more
sensual than wanton.
The central courtyard was open to the sky, and shielded from the sun by
canopies. Urns spilled over with orange and yellow flowers.
Wine, water, and fruit was brought out by beautiful servers of both sexes.
"The King will be with you shortly," the servants said as each hero
arrived. "He knows that time is short, and we are to provide you with any
equipment you may need for the battle ahead."

Valerius grabbed both a goblet of wine and a peice of exotic-looking fruit from

Reeds on the other hand, found a seat to wait, wondering how any could think of

Loranna gave Slyvos a brief smile; for the trip to Sentinel she had changed
into a red and black dress with a sloping neckline, similar to what Morgiah had
been wearing though not quite as dazzling, nor with a matching veil. Over this,
she wore a simple but elegantly-tailored cloak, which rustled with the sheer
number of potions and other important items she was carrying thanks to a
monumental feather potion.
"Something new's come to light," Loranna tells Slyvos, briefing him
on the way about her encounter with the Witches of Nirn, and the importance of
reaching Taolle before the Bosmer found Mannimarco and Geht ...
Whisked to the Palace, Loranna absently smooths out a wrinkle in Slyvos's
robes, as always admiring the sensual beauty that marked King Lhotun's court.[197]

Summary: Athaso has
just arrived at the palace and noted it's beauty. Again he saw familiar faces
from the Nymph and Noggin, as well as fresh ones.
For the battle, his steel pauldrons were on his shoulders, his helm hooked around
his belt, and his silver longsword and dagger cleaned and sharpened were also
at his side. He grabbed a glass of wine from a servent of the palace and paced
around the room sipping it; preparing himself for the upcoming battle mentally,
as well as keeping an eye out for anyone he recognized who he could talk to... [208]
Finally their time came, and Erenius and his fifteen volunteers took their places on the platform. Upon arriving in Sentinel, Erenius and his small detachment began to congregate with the others. [209]
Vaan entered the Palace quietly, dressed in his Muatramer armour. He did not take any food or drink, instead choosing to look around the room at everyone else, while thinking about what was about to happen. [210]
The Palace of
Sentinel
The servants bowed at the approach of five persons.
The first was well-known to most of the group. Hlaalu Morgiah, dressed
befitting a queen, though she was no longer one.
The second and third were also well-known. Archmagister Hannibal Traven, leader
of the Mages Guild. With him was Magister Zadion, the current head of the Ald
Raathim Mages Guild. Both were dressed in simple cloaks and capes.
The fourth was known to a few who had visited Sentinel after the ill-fated
Biennie wedding a few months ago. A Redguard, not an exceptionally handsome
man. His face was perhaps too friendly, still possessing the wide eyes and
expressive mouth of his youth, though he was in his 30s. His hair was long,
worn in coils ringed by gold. This was King Lhotun.
The fifth was known to none – at least this close up. An old man with thinning
hair and weary eyes, wearing a richly embroidered robe, ornamented with a necklace
with the largest jewels any had ever seen.
This was the Emperor Uriel Septim VII.
The nobles introduced themselves to the group.
“You came quicker than we thought you would,” Morgiah said. “Thank the Nine.”[211]

The sight of the Emperor caused Loranna's heart to miss a beat. She had never,
up till now, even seen the Emperor, save for the few times she caught a glimpse
of his august presence during the grand parade held in the Imperial City each
year to honor his birthday, and for the dreams she had had of the Trial of
Vivec, when Allerleirauh and Vehk Himself bent their knee to Uriel.
Loranna now bends her knee, bowing her head in deference to the blood of Tiber
Septim, amazed and thankful for this chance to see the Emperor himself.
Gram, unlike his daughter, had met the Emperor once before, in the
nightmare time of the Blue Twilight, which only those with the blood of heroes
would recall. He looked upon the Emperor and remembered the final moments of
the struggle within the Imperial Palace itself, Captain Cyndarius, that man
among men standing by the Emperor's side, all around them chaos and death ...
but they had lived, and his daughter and her friends had saved them all.
Even a lone wolf like Gram knew the power of an Emperor, and like his daughter
he bent his knee, bowing his head to do Uriel honor.[231]

Anya was sure if her heart still pumped, it would have skipped a beat. She had been keeping a low profile, the devotion to Arkay here not escaping her attention. But the sight of the Emperor was enough to make her words stick in her throat and her hands to drop from where they were toying with the hilts of Her Fangs. [247]
At the sight of Uriel
Septim, Slyvos said nothing, and did nothing, save give a small bow of his head
to recognize his presence. Rulers come and go, and they aren't anything special
in the end, no matter what they do. All empires and kingdoms die out,
eventually. This one was no different.
Still, it would be stupid to not at least recognize he was there. Even Slyvos
would acknowledge that. [248]

"As you say, sire," Erenius says, kneeling before the Emperor, his
head against his knee as he and those arrayed behind him, rose from their
position. He then turned to his men, reiterating for the last time the gravity
of the situation and givign them all a last chance to back out with no dishonor
to them. When none took him up on the offer of final leave, he then told them
to make final preparations, which included a final cleaning of their arms and
armour, a gatherring of potions and vittles, as well as a creation of a notice
to their next of kin. The Imperial, upon giving that second part of the order,
truley hoped it would be unnnecessary. [253]

"But though the Mother of the World acts through Taolle, sparing her from
the energies of death that surround her, still the old woman is no match for
Mannimarco - and should she die, then the last part of Goran will die as
well," she says, sorrowfully. "We must not let that happen; we must
reach Taolle before she reaches Mount Nombaje and her destruction at the hands
of the God of Worms. Her quest is ours and we must help her." [258]
Upon sighting the
Emperor, Vaan froze slightly, then gave a respectful, albeit stiff, bow of the
head.
This, perhaps suprisingly, was the first Emperor he had ever set eyes upon.
Well, I never expected him to look like that. He seems so frail for a man so
powerful. I always imagined Emperors to be more grand than that, perhaps my
expectations are too high? He is, afterall, only human.
Vaan's cheeks heated up, and his heart began to pound. He was, of course, only
used to the way that the Telvanni showed their power: Blatently. [259]

[266] "Two reasons, sir. One the oldest of all, the love of a woman. And because it's my true self."
[268]
"What do you mean by true self?" Slashes was confused, and disgusted
that a marshbrother could love a warmblood.
Then he saw the group approach. He bowed to the Emperor, his Argonian battle
armor clinked slightly.
OOC: Out for a few hours. [269]
Shaka had gone to one knee at the sight of the nobles; he stood up with the rest now. The highest ruler that Shaka had met, other than the Tribunes, had been Helseth. Shaka felt privileged to view him before either the Emperor or Shaka were gone. [270]
Sentinel, the Royal
Palace
Dana and Gistral only rose slowly from their kneeling position in front of
their sovereign and the Emperor, while Nalion had bowed deeply. The two
Redguards were dressed in light clothes, of the kind one would wear beneath
armour, but were otherwise neither armed nor protected during their stay in the
palace. Their equipment had remained in the army camp and were likely been
prepared for the upcoming battle. The mage was clad in a sturdy padded blue
robe. The three of them had arrived a few hours prior to this meeting, hurrying
from the Mages Guild to the royal palace, trying to move swiftly through the
crowds.
Nalion looked at the Emperor. How long had it been since the battle in
Cyrodiil? The Emperor would remember the shift in reality, Nalion was sure of
this. The mage had stood beside Cyndarius and Gram on that day as the Spheres
were restored.
"He is looking older than last time, an then already, he had looked
frail, but with a certain hidden strength as well.", Nalion thought, but
kept silent and only nodded in agreement as Loranna briefed Traven of the
newest revelations.

The Emperor, the King, the former Queen, and the two high-ranking mages
listened to Loranna carefully.
"Taolle," Morgiah breathed, amazed. "I can't believe it."
"She was approaching Mount Nombaje from which direction, the west I
presume if she was journeying from Summerset?" King Lhotun asked,
gesturing for his servants to bring him a map.
The terrain of the the Dragontail mountains were formidable to see, as the King
traced the distance from Sentinel to Mount Nombaje, an 11,000 foot peak to the
south and center.
"You will be hard pressed to make it there in two days' time," Lhotun
said. "Unless you take the Ganada Pass."
He showed a whisper thin line through the mountains, so narrow that it hardly
showed.
"It is a famous spot for banditry. I am sure none of them have survived,

Nalion joined the group and took a thorough glance at the map.
"I somehow doubt that sneaking through under over of invisibility and

area, and considering the items we carry.", Nalion said.

"You don't have to go in completely blind," the King said. "I
have a more detailed map of the Ganada Pass, which shows the cave system
surrounding it and any known ruins of the Dwemer of Rourken."
At his signal another map was produced. From it, they could see where other
ambushes had occurred, and Lhotun marked where they should turn to begin the

Slyvos took this time to step forward, a grim look on his face that showed he
was preparing himself mentally for this. So soon after Tel Dresori, and again

stamped and jeweled with mystical symbols, stepped into the room hurriedly and
knelt.
“Forgive my tardiness, master, your Imperial Majesty, I had not been informed

When the figure rose, the group could see that she was an Argonian, and that

Slyvos got a pained
look on his face suddenly, clenching his hands hard enough to draw forth blood
from his palms. He calmed down almost as suddenly as it began, wipeing the

He sighed then, loseing the grin. "the problem is, I'm not sure how many

"While you're making your way to intercept Taolle, you and Reeds could be
using your magical senses to figure out where the blightstones are, and then
home in on them."
"The thing to remember is, though - Taolle will seek Goran out, no
matter what, and she'll need help in that struggle. The people who go into the
death aura will have to improvise a plan to destroy the blightstones depending
on how Mannimarco has positioned them."[384]

[386] "If there are more than one of these blightstones, more than one of us may have to detect them somehow," the Argonian battlemage added thoughtfully. "How many are in the vanguard assault?"
[388]
"I'm coming," Valerius says, "unfortunately, my magical prowess
ends at blowing things to smithereens." [389]
Isidor smiled grimly,
as he reajusted his armor and axe, preparing to go.
Tsei and Ingmar also prepared to go. [390]
"I'll go. I'm one of the relative few who have dealt with Geht as well, though that may not count for much at this point, as much as he seems to be under Mannimarco's sway."[391]

others who would be going. [396]

Hesek was not expecting to be on a mission with Chalovk, he had mixed feelings
on it. He had a duty to do so must go, but he had no desire to see Chalovk. He
spoke up anyway, he had to, "I am going." he said flatly. [401]

"You can count me in," Sivartus said, "I can destroy any
Blightstones we come across with magic. I should be able to think of a way to
destroy them without getting his by the resulting energy blast." [406]
"I will not stand
back either. I will not let that which was saved from Azura's grasp and that
which has been restored fall into Mannimarco's hand.", Nalion said with a
voice that sounded slightly different than usual.
"Gistral and I will remain with the army and join the spearhead of the
assault.", Dana said an Gistral nodded. [407]
Gram steps forward.
"I would not miss this for the world," he says, grinning.
Looking to Loranna, he adds "Besides, someone has to keep an eye out for my
daughter's husband." [408]
Anya shrugged and reached to touch the satchel strapped to her leg, holding the Masque, "Do I have a choice not to?" [409]
"I'll go. Rank
and file army stuff isn't mine deal," Reichi spoke up. "I always deal
with the whole, commando style infiltration stuff anyways." Reichi briefly
thought back to Hogithium, and the Spheres, and made a note to go with rules
learned from those - don't let the possessed guy capture you, and keep the team
working together. Last time they failed to work together was Tel Dresori, and
Mannimarco wouldn't be as foolish as Ashana should he capture them, if he
captured them. He seemed the type to just outright kill them.
"Mannimarco needs his boney ass handed to him, anyways." [410]
Red-Rock-Shadow
nodded. “I would be honored.”
“I am an old man,” Emperor Uriel Septim VII said, looking to the group
assembled. “I have been lucky enough to live many years, and do not expect to
live many more. I have been even more fortunate to know many heroes in my
lifetime, the names of some of whom live in legend, and the names of other who
have been tragically forgotten except in my heart. I can tell you that some of
them may have been your equals, but in bravery, none were your better.”
“Loranna,” Hlaalu Morgiah said quietly. “We cannot tarry. You have the swords?”[411]

Reichi bowed his head, supressing a grin at being praised by the Emperor

towards Loranna at her words. "I might as well take the shortsword again,"
he replied, slowly taking the shortest of the swords, feeling the calming aura
of the blade as he closed his hand around the handle. [436]
Athaso confidently stepped forward as well and took the Broadsword from Loranna, bowing to her as he did so. He felt honored and trusted to be allowed to weild such a sacred artifact in such pressing times. [437]

Nalion bowed to the Emperor with great respect.

Shaka felt a little light-headed at not only having an audience with such
nobles, but praise from the Emperor himself.
I should thank King Lhotun for the gift of his blood, he thought.

Loranna smiles at Nalion's words. "A beauty worth fighting for," she
says, turning to Gram.
"Father," she says, reaching behind her cloak and unslinging the
Spellbreaker from her back. "Will you bear this shield into the land of
death, and with it protect us from the magics of evil?"
A slow smile crosses Gram's face. "You're becoming quite the storyteller,
daughter," he says, winking at the somewhat less than impressed Loranna.
"I shall, and ask you to watch over my soon to be grandson's inheritance."
He unslings Flametongue from his back and holds it out to Loranna, hilt first.
As the two exchange artifacts, Loranna bites her tongue to keep from muttering
about her first child probably being a daughter. Gram grins even wider.
As Gram secures Spellbreaker to his arm, Loranna turns to her companions once
more, pulling from her cloak a beautiful dai-katana and ring. "When Goran
is returned to us, he will need his weapons," she says. "Who will
carry them for him and return the Kynerine and ring to their rightful
hands?"[452]
Anya eyed the sword and ring, but left them be, her gaze moving to the five swords. Her chest had been tightening and she had hidden her shaking hands behind her back. Her feet slowly carried her to the edge of the group. Blasted swords... [453]

"And finally, the elixers which will safeguard you in the aura of
death," she says, pulling out a case full of stoppered metal vials. She
passes one to everyone, though to Anya she gives a secret smile and wink as she
picks a specific vial from the case. "The power of the elixer should last
for several days, perhaps a week," she tells people.
To Anya, Nalion, and Reichi, Loranna hands a second vial. "One for Taolle,

Nalion nodded to Loranna, taking the two flasks. He opened his bag, took out
two pieces of cloth and carefully wrapped them around the vials. Then, he
stowed them into his bag again. Just before doing so though, Loranna glimpsed
the back of a book bound in black leather in the bag.
"We will not take a week, hopefully. We will make haste to catch up with
Taolle, and then try to free Goranthir.", the mage said, then nodded and
looked to the others.
"Are we ready?" [488]
Slashes-With-Claws
takes one of the vials. He can faintly feel the powers of the sacred Hist sap
in the mixture. His tail waves as he can sense the strong essence of life it
bears, as well as his own connection to the sacred Hist. He clips it to his
belt with his other vials of potions.
"Yes, let us be on our way." He responds to Nalion as he adjusts the
dwarven claymore on his back and the londsword, glass dagger, and silver
throwing knives on his belt. [489]
Reichi nodded, taking the vials he was handed. Reichi placed the two vials in his satchel carefully. "I would say we are ready then," he said in reply to Nalion. [490]

Erenius took the vial he was handed and placed it in his satchel, thanking

pieces of parchment and feather pen. He knelt down and tightened up the laces

Shaka took the vial
and packed it away into his scrollcase for now. He could sense the life within

intently.

The Ganada Pass
The Dragontail Mountains began as simple hillocks in the wheat and corn farms a
few miles east of the capitol city, but the horizon showed their destination
far before then. The peaks of the mountains disappeared into the clouds, an
apparently insurmountable barrier. Even from a distance, they could see that
something horrible had happened to them: they were dark and shadowy even in the
bright light of day.
Gradually the ground became rougher as they neared the Pass outlined on their
map. Climbing up onto a ridge, they saw the narrow crevasse they would be
passing through. They also saw the dead grass, the dead trees, and the bones of
farm animals.
“We enter into the death aura ahead,” Red-Rock-Shadow said.[531]

few miles east of the capitol city, but the horizon showed their destination
far before then. The peaks of the mountains disappeared into the clouds,
an apparently insurmountable barrier. Even from a distance, they could see
that something horrible had happened to them: they were dark and shadowy even
in the bright light of day.
Gradually the ground became rougher as they neared the Pass outlined on their
map. Climbing up onto a ridge, they saw the narrow crevasse they would be
passing through. They also saw the dead grass, the dead trees, and the
bones of farm animals.
“We enter into the death aura ahead,” Red-Rock-Shadow said.
[545]
Nalion looked at the desolation and tried not to think about the hordes of
undead it would probably hide.
"All this loss of life...", he muttered, then spoke louder.
"Better use those potions now..."
He took one of the two potions he carried out of his bag, unwrapped it from
it's cloth and drank it. The taste was sweet, with a hint of bitterness and to
Nalion, the sap was slightly cold. What happened then was overwhelming though,
the strength of life flowing through his veins, as if it wanted to compete with
the death ahead of the mage. He unconsciously began to breathe faster, felt
full of energy, revitalizing, healing... [546]

to prevent himself from having to climb through some of the harder parts of the
landscape.
Once they reached the pass, he took out the vial that Loranna had given him,

Slyvos suddered as they approached the death aura, visibly shaken by it's
presence. It would weigh most heavily upon him, so sensitive to the ebb and
flow of necromantic energies was he still.
"Mannimarco may be a horrid being, but he does what he is the best at what
he does, now days... though, that doesn't mean he can't be beaten. Once we get
into the aura, we will be at his mercy." he said in a grim tone.
He quickly downed the potion Loranna gave him, feeling the warmth flow through
him. I promise you I will return alive... and with the bastard dead. [556]
Shaka stood with the
score of heroes and looked at the devastation ahead. He uncapped the vial and
drank. Ironic that it took me this long to commune with the Hist, and no
longer Argonian at that.
His eyes widened at the effect of the potion; he hadn't felt this energized
since childhood. There was a bittersweet undertone in the potion, from the
tears.
For Nirn, he thought, and prepared to move on with the others.[557]
Reichi followed
Nalion's example and pulled the potion vial from his bag, and drank deeply of
the bitter-sweet fluid. He felt the pulse of life flow through him, and
grinned, despite the grim, desolate land ahead of him. Reichi took his helm and
placed it upon his head at last, knowing that it would best to be fully armored

The heroes saw the last of living things as they pressed on and the rugged
hills arched up, forming mountainous walls around them. Rotten moss and
death-blasted trees studded the sheer surfaces. The wind carried with it dust
and the smell of putrefaction.
The ground itself was uneven, littered with boulders and an occasional
treacherous crevasse which required a strong jump or a spell of levitation to
cross. It was clear this was not a popular way of travel. Possibly Mannimarco
didn’t even know of its existence.
The map showed a cavern, and as they passed it, they could hear shambling

Gram was unchararistically silent as the party made their way through the
death-blasted, twisted landscape. No stranger to the horror of death and
destruction, the sheer unnaturalness of this land's blight however sent his

Nalion pulled up the hood of his robe and covered his mouth and nose with a
piece of cloth. The blasted landscape sent shivers down his spine. The mage had
seen the volcanic landscapes of Morrowind, with its burned trees and
ash-covered hills, but compared to this, the Red Mountain region was a garden
of life.
The mage tried to place his steps carefully, so as not to step on the dead wood
lying about for fear of the cracking sound rousing the undead near the cave.
The mage moved to take a glance at the map and nodded to Red-Rock-Shadow.
"You're right. I have the strange feeling that we are watched, but we

Anya glanced at the bird, her eyes narrowing. Her hand fingered the Masque
within it's pouch. The field had flooded her, having the same effect as it did
on Mannimarco's own creatures. She had used the potion Loranna gave her, the
same bottle as hist sap, but only contained a potion to fortify her willpower,
letting her keep her body under her control for the moment, no elongated fangs
or glowing eyes. [593]
Faryon levitated over
the map, it was of SW Morrowind Provence, however, fully unrolled, filled the
floor of the office. There were ceramic figures on the map, each corresponding
to a unit. A large group were gathered around the Shadowgate Pass, a few along
the Forts of the Narsis Road, but the majority of the army was in Kragenmoor
itself. Also on the map, at the far north could be seen a group of purple
ceramic units marching on the road to Oyami. An officer walked into the room,
almost standing on the map. A poisonus glare from Faryon made him freeze to the
ground, and he delivered his report
'We have sent off the troops, sir' the officer said
'3rd company?'
'Indeed' said the officer as Faryon removed three ceramic pieces from
Kragenmoor,
and sighed. The third company was not his best unit, he needed those units
elsewhere, but they were still pretty good. Nether the less, he knew that few
of the soldiers he sent out would return, 'When will they get to Sentinel?'
'They should be already there, sir'
'Magic is a good thing. Advance the main army to Bodrum Mora'
'Yes, sir' [594]
Isidor, Tsei, and
Ingmar all took the potion; Tsei feeling a little more than the rest of the
group.
Isidor had told Ingmar that if he wanted to use the sword, he would have to
equip the ring as well, Ingmar did as he was told, and then followed the group
foward, through the desolate landscape. [595]
Valerius loosened the
sheath's grip on the holy sword; he didn't think drawing it would be a great
idea right now.
Reeds, having no problems with holy auras on his weapons, drew both of his
swords and followed. [596]
Slashes-With-Claws
drank of the Hist sap potion. It brought back memories from many years ago,
back to the naming ceremony where he licked a sacred Hist tree and got his
name, Hesek.
He kept the holy sword in its sheath, his dwarven claymore in his hands. The
dwarven metal could deal wit any simple skeletons of zombies they met.
He agreed with Chalovk about avoiding unnecessary battles and walked slightly
crouched; his tail out for balance, not that such a stance would do much good
in this dead land.
He glanced at Chalovk occasionally, his mind thinking of the past. He then
turned his glance to Tsei. Two Argonian females, both of mating age, each so
different from the other. Chalovk was in the past, Tsei was the future. But his
mind could still not get over the fact that Tsei was so much like the
softskins, and so unlike his own kind in her personality. Would a relation ever
work with her? Chalovk was almost perfect for him, but could Hesek forget the
past, forget the argument? The last conversation he ever had with her.
He almost tripped over a rock, just avoiding it as his mind was brought back to
the tasks at hand. [597]

was right, he needed to concentrate on the mission. He got his steps back,

The next bend took the group past the ruins of an ancient Dwemer village, the
buildings weathered the same color as the rock walls to which they clung.
Having seen other Dwemer ruins in Morrowind, the architectural similarities
were obvious, but the differences between the style of the Rourken who left the

Shaka glanced at Red-Rocks-Shadow and Slashes-With-Claws; he had caught their
words. The two obviously had a shared history . . . but Shaka would keep out of

He looked with awe at the ruins, after hearing comments from some of the group.

"Aye," Gram says, somewhat grateful for an excuse to talk. "The

He looks briefly down at the Spellbreaker, having an odd sense of deja-vu.

The Ganada Pass
Around the next bend in the chasm, the heroes found a dead-end. A landslide,
two hundred feet high, had sealed off the pass.
Red-Rock-Shadow opened her cloak which billowed out into a pair of leathery
wings attached to her arms and flew upward. After surveying the area from the
air for a moment, she descended.
"The landslide continues for at least a mile before dropping off,"
the Argonian battlemage reported. "If everyone can levitate, we can
proceed along this path -- if not ..."
She opened up the map.

The rhetorical question "Why don't we take it?" seemed to be answered
as the group made their way up the narrow, well-worn steps to the Dwemeri
village perched high over the canyon. Peering into the dark recesses of the
ruins, it was hard not to think that they were moving from recent death to
ancient death.
The first structure seemed to a government office of some kind, a king's palace
or a hall of justice, perhaps. The ornaments had long since been stripped from

Unconsciously, Gram unhooks Frostkiss from his belt. The deadly chill of the

"It's musty..." Anya pursed her lips, her tongue tasting the air
quickly. She followed the path Red-Rock-Shadow showed, uneasy. Her rogue eyes,
enhanced with night eye, cast about for anything worth salvaging habitually,
but nothing was to be seen. "My contact spoke of much more than this.
Granted we aren't too far in, but I wasn't expecting much more than a shriek
from the air and hints of creatures noises. I don't like, I don't like this at

Anya glanced at Gram, then brought a hand up. It sparked with a spell, and a

Meanwhile
Organizing an army is not an easy thing to do, particularly if the army is
composed of many different armies, and had little time to prepare. If the
Emperor himself had not personally been overseeing the arrangements, most
likely, it would be chaos.
It was decided that the army would be divided into two, one half to the west of
the mountains in Tigonus under the command of Laretha Warhaft, and the other to
the east in Kozanet under the command of Digitus Ero. Marks had been set by
mages on both sides, so communication could be facilitated across the miles
that separated them.
Under each commander was the leader of the faction assigned to him or her. The
soldiers reported to the superior they had gotten used to following, but the
superiors reported to Warhaft and Ero.
Kalaan, Tigonus, Hammerfell
The army marched from the capitol of Sentinel to Kalaan in the formerly
independent kingdom of Tigonus. It was a coastal march to save the soldiers’
energy, but they knew that soon enough, they would be taxed to extreme. The
dusty fortress in Kalaan would serve as the staging point when they reached it.
Ramakawan, Kozanet, Hammerfell
Those assigned to the eastern front sailed in the Imperial warships, and then
marched south to the jungles east of the Dragontail mountains, where King
Lhotun’s hidden fortress stood. It faced the Bazidir Valley, a once lush but
now putrid wide pass into the Dragontail. Red-Rock-Shadow’s Mark was set to
that region, so the plan was upon her appearing there and giving the signal
that the defenses were down, Ero would send word to Warhaft, and together the
armies would push together.[665]

alot of places all over Tamriel in his existance, and any knowledge he would
have had of the ruins themselves may prove useless because of cave-ins and
accidents that would have befallen the infrastructure.
"Place still looks in one piece, at least..." He said grimly. [670]
[671] QUOTE(Sheogorath @ Mar 8 2006, 03:12 PM)
[672] Meanwhile
Organizing an army is not an easy thing to do, particularly if the army is
composed of many different armies, and had little time to prepare. If the
Emperor himself had not personally been overseeing the arrangements, most
likely, it would be chaos.
It was decided that the army would be divided into two, one half to the west of
the mountains in Tigonus under the command of Laretha Warhaft, and the other to
the east in Kozanet under the command of Digitus Ero. Marks had been set
by mages on both sides, so communication could be facilitated across the miles
that separated them.
Under each commander was the leader of the faction assigned to him or
her. The soldiers reported to the superior they had gotten used to
following, but the superiors reported to Warhaft and Ero.
Kalaan, Tigonus, Hammerfell
The army marched from the capitol of Sentinel to Kalaan in the formerly
independent kingdom of Tigonus. It was a coastal march to save the
soldiers’ energy, but they knew that soon enough, they would be taxed to
extreme. The dusty fortress in Kalaan would serve as the staging point when
they reached it.
Ramakawan, Kozanet, Hammerfell
Those assigned to the eastern front sailed in the Imperial warships, and then
marched south to the jungles east of the Dragontail mountains, where King
Lhotun’s hidden fortress stood. It faced the Bazidir Valley, a once lush
but now putrid wide pass into the Dragontail. Red-Rock-Shadow’s Mark was
set to that region, so the plan was upon her appearing there and giving the
signal that the defenses were down, Ero would send word to Warhaft, and
together the armies would push together.
[674]
Organizing armies was not Loranna's forte; that was a task she left mostly to
her commanders, though by neccesity she had learned something about the needs
of moving troops around. Fortunately, the Emperor was the one overseeing the
arrangements, not her.
For the moment, Loranna made herself as useful as she could be; she knew a
number of the people in the various factions being brought together and had
gained a measure of trust among them. Helping also gave her an excuse not to brood
over the fate of her friends deep in the death aura, nor count the hours before
all hope would be lost ...[675]

[677] Unconsciously, Gram
unhooks Frostkiss from his belt. The deadly chill of the enchanted axe
may not be the best weapon against the undead but even putrid flesh and
animated bone could be frozen solid, and god's blood could cleave through any
manner of supernatural creature.
Taking position at the lead of the party, he leads on, muttering "Anyone
got spells to help see in the dark?"
[679]
P'Rassha stood besides Gram and stared at the darkness.
"P'Rassha doesn't know any spells, but khajiit eyes are made to see in the
darkest rooms" [680]

With the chamber now illuminated, the group could see better that it was
clearly a security station of some kind, where visitors to the forgotten
Dwemeri city would first enter. It was designed to awe, and even now, a
thousand years later, it still had that effect.
The dust was unsettled on the floor. Clearly others had moved through it, and
recently, though it was impossible to tell how many. More than one certainly.
Smooth tunnels, obviously carved by machinery of great sophistication, even now
only barely cracked by time, led off in all directions. The largest one went
due south, and Slyvos was able to understand the writing on the plaque above
it. It simply said "TO THE CENTER."
"The map doesn't give any details to the ruins," Red-Rock-Shadow
said. "But south is the direction we want to go."[690]
Slashes-With-Claws followed along. He had been in dwarven ruins before, that is where he found the claymore he now held in his hands. He stepped slowly and carefully; his keen eyes and hearing scanned the area for any threats. [691]

Vaan was with the army in the Kalaan fortress. He was the undisputed leader of
the Temple forces here because firstly, there were no False Temple forces to be
seen, and secondly, he was the highest ranking Muatramer there. With him were a
few dozen Muatramer soldiers, all prepping themselves for what was to come.
In order to perhaps raise their morale, he talked to them all about the old
Ordinator corps, and their experiences in Vvardenfell. He told them about how,
through faith in ALMSIVI and will to destroy the enemies of not only the
Tribunal and the people of Morrowind, but of all life on Tamriel, the
Ordinators became fearsome and powerful warriors. He told them that in order to
succeed in this upcoming battle, they too would need to utilise their own faith
and will, and then, they too would become fearsome and powerful, and would
surely win the battle. He had no doubt that they did not have it. [696]
Ora and Osa are with the main group, both prepared for whatever may lie in wait. They tread carefully onward, staying within the radius of the various light spells hoping against hope this Ruins defenses were down [697]

Anya twirled Her Fangs, their balanced forms feeling natural and their movments
flowed with ease. A first real test of the ablitities, Anya smiled grimly, ready
for the undead. She whirled quickly, burying the shortsword deep into the
vampire attacking her, feeling health and vigor flowing into her. She raked
with the dagger, hoping to placate her opponent.
Anya snarled, shoving the vampire back into another that had lept at her,
raising the shortsword quickly. She cast a spell, becoming a haze and then
invisible, and used the moment of distraction to attack their ungaruded sides. [717]

Witnessing his friend getting badly hurt by the vampiress, P'Rassha dropped his
axe to the ground and grabbed the dying monster by the shoulders, ripping her
skull even more when he removed her from Gram's axe.
He used his enormous strength to throw the dead body on one of the charging
vampires. The impact made a loud cracking sound and both bodies went flying
several feet back. [737]
"Sonofa..."
Reichi muttered, sinking down into a half-crouch with Bloodfang and the holy

"Leave P'Rassha's friend alone, you M'iit."
P'Rassha grabbed the vampire's lower jaw with one paw and the upper jaw with
the other and asked Violetta for help. He struggled with the vampire for a
time, but the will to save his friend Gram seemed to be stronger than the
vampire's will to live.
The vampire's jaws broke with an horrible sound, then P'Rassha threw the vampire's

where impeded a bit after he touched the vampires, he felt the magical

Slashes-With-Claws, seeing Gram's condition, sends a paralization cure spell

Argonian from the side.
OOC: Out for a few hours. [761]
"Back! Bad Vampire! Sit! Play Dead! Er... Stay Dead!" Reichi yelled out as he backed away, slashing primarily with the holy blade, as he didn't intend on using the charges on his blade's enchantment when he wasn't even injured yet, or didn't plan on being injured. A few Vampires who don't abadon their pursuit out of hunger end up taking the blade in the face, neck and other vital areas. [762]
Gram, cured by Slashes
