Summary
This interview was initially published at Unofficial Elder Scrolls Pages.
For those of you who don't feel like making your way through obscure passages of the original interview,
I hereby decided to provide a brief summary. I will not cover points that were discussed elsewhere (in the PGE, for example).
- The Volcano of Vvardenfell is rather quiet, and the only place that suffers from earthquakes is the northern slope.
- Ebony is a material of volcanic origin that goes up with lava. Dunmer deem it to be "God's Blood".
- There's a rare material called "glass" that is even stronger than Ebony. Maybe they meant volcanic glass,
also known as obsidian.
- The interviewee mentions some of the beasts that inhabit Morrowind, specifically:
- skylamps;
- nix-hounds;
- Malahk-Orcs;
- scribs.
- Dunmer are not a festive folk.
- Strange Dunmeri architecture was motivated by ashfalls; however, the Tribunal priests find some kind of spiritual significance about it.
- There's a guild of Sweeps (broom-handlers) in Vivec City; they're in charge of cleaning the place up after ashfalls.
- Common stereotype of Morrowinder revolves around Ashlanders, despite the fact that they're a minority.
- Usual lifespan of a Dark Elf is 120-130 years. Some make it to 200.
According to "The Real Barenziah", Dark Elves live much longer than that. Barenziah, and also Symmachus, lived for more than 500 years.
- The Telvanni are a clan that practices wizardry, but no one knows for sure what they are up to.
