Tabletop TES GamingIve posted this here because the roleplaying board appears to be set aside for actual roleplaying, and the general board seems a little off-topic to me. Feel free to move it if you disagree, Librarians.
Im going to be running a Dungeons and Dragons game with a pretty modified system set in the TES world. I was wondering if anybody had done this before and had any advice or experiences they wanted to share, im sure at least one person on these forums must have some experience with traditional rpgs XD
The adventure takes place in Stos M'kai in 3E 432, the year before oblivion and while after morrowind, its the time period I know most about and am most comfortable with. I'm going to have an exiled Redoran Scholar hire the party to retrieve the skull (or bones as the case may be) of Nafaalilargus, the dragon from the game Redguard, and following that will be a plot regarding unrestful draconic spirits and such =)
I'm really not concerned with having the actions of the party being potentially canonical, if I did that then too much stuff would be off-limits for it to be any fun. But I would like the game to at least begin in a lore-friendly manner, at least as far as I can manage. Not all of my players are familiar with TES lore so I doubt there will be much complaints.
Anyway like i said, any advice or similar experiences would be very welcome.

DnD is for sure not very suitable system for TES tabletop roleplaying game. Maybe it is more comfortable for you to play completely without RPG system.
I'm by myself working on RPG system for Elder Scrols tabletop, but it is in Russian, I'm sorry.
But I can give you a link or two to the same attempts on other (roleplaying-orienteded) forums, if you send me a message or email.
This is something I've been interested in for a while, perhaps some guidelines can be fleshed out with enough support?
