Deep Sands[This book was found gathering dust on a bookshelf in a small store in Wayrest. A studious scholar of unknown origins purchased the tome for a mere thirteen drakes and returned to Cyrodiil with the book. It's an old book made of sturdy leather and appears to have aged well. Only one copy seems to have been made as attempts to locate more have turned up fruitless. The scholar who purchased this novel had seemed to have cut himself off from society rather quickly. An odd behavior shift for someone who was once an outgoing citizen of Tamriel. This book was found months later in an abandoned room. It's owner missing.]

It is said that if one were to look hard enough, they will find what they seek. Such a simple phrase can have unintended consequences as history time immemorial as proven. Have you found what you sought? Perhaps what you seek is in your very hands right now. Or do you long for something more? Will this tome lead you to what you desire? Such questions I cannot answer, for your will is not my own. However, heed my advice, for what I'm about to tell you can save your life. Do not venture forth with your face pressing firm against the winds of caution. To reach the unreachable can in turn cause whatever you've gained through life's fancy to be stripped away in the process. Does your goal outweigh the consequences? Our you prepared to lose something in place of whatever you've gained?
Legends spread swiftly across this Arena; reaching the ears of those who see themselves as blessed by the divines and immortal. Such sad fools end up either perishing or returning a changed being. I will tell you of a treasure and it's location. Should you believe yourself worthy enough to claim it, then carry forth on your quest. Perhaps this is the lead you required to point yourself in the right direction? If not, then you have every right to put this book down and continue searching for what your heart truly pines for. Deep beneath bones and the sand which covers the bones in Elsweyr, lies a tunnel system. These tunnels are all that remain of cities buried beneath sands so deep. Of course, newer cities are built upon the history of the past; and the past holds secrets to be found. The Khajiits proudly kept vast collections of gold, jewels, and high quality moon sugar in these sand bitten halls. Sabres which nearly rival the sharpness of the blades crafted by the swordsmen of Yokuda lay unused for centuries. Sure, pieces of these ancient artifacts found their way to the surface. But not all survived the centuries of sandstorms which layer the desert settlements.
One last word of caution before you set forth on this journey if you so choose to delve further into insanity. These treasures I speak of are not alone. Things for which the Khajiit dare not speak of enthrall these subterranean mazes. The bodies of the recently deceased sometimes find there way back to the entrance as if to warn adventurers of the horrors and mutilations they failed to endure along their trek. Do not ask about these dead travelers to the local Khajiit, as you will receive more than a few eyebrows raised in your direction. Now go forth foolish one. If these treasures are truly what you seek.
