Gaiden Shinji

The leader of Order of Diagna. He was famous of his statement in 1E947, "The best techniques are passed on by the survivors." The Order of Diagna and the joint forces of Sentinel and Daggerfall attack the Orc kingdom of Orsinium. The war is known as the Siege of Orsinium. It takes a long 30 years for the joint armies to vanquish Orsinium. Gaiden Shinji himself was one of the casualties of the long devastating war.

Jagar Tharn

The Arch-Traitor of the Septim Empire. He is said to be part Bosmer and part Dunmer. He is recorded as a mage-priest at the Temple of Sethiete in Camlorn, High Rock before his ascension to be Imperial Battlemage.

In 3E376, he tricks Queen Barenziah of Mournhold to uncover the way to the Old Mournhold, to a place where the Staff of Chaos was hidden. He steals the staff and disappears.

Later, he manages to become the Imperial Battlemage of Uriel Septim VII, one step crucial of his ambition to rule the realms. In 3E389, he captures Uriel VII and banishes him into another dimension. It is obvious that he uses the power of the Staff of Chaos. He then breaks the staff into eight pieces and hides them to eight provinces of the Empire. With his powerful illusion power, he takes the visage of Uriel VII, and rules the Empire.

He makes a bargain to the Daedra Prince Mehrunes Dagon to invade Battlespire, the Imperial training facility and bastion of Battlemages of the Empire. This move is essential to secure his position and to remove the possible threat to his reign. Although Mehrunes Dagon is banished back to Oblivion by a mysterious hero, but the Battlespire is destroyed. One of the possible enemies of Tharn cannot reestablish itself.

In 3E397, Tharn and Pergan Asuul, an evil Shadowmage try to manipulate the War of Bend'r-mahk to create the Shadow of War – the powerful shadow creature Umbra'Keth. However, a mysterious hero, with the help of Skelos Undriel and Azra Nightwielder, thwarts the plan.

His reign is ended in 3E399. Another mysterious hero, with the help Ria Silmane, and Lady Barenziah, manages to gather the hidden pieces of the Staff of Chaos. In the final battle in depth of Imperial Castle dungeon, the hero manages to snatch the Jewel of Fire, a jewel that holds Tharn's power and the whole energy of the Staff of Chaos. Jagar Tharn is slain, Uriel Septim VII is rescued, and the hero is declared as the Eternal Champion.

King Orgnum

King Orgnum is the king of island kingdom of Pyandonea. A passage from Pocket Guide to the Empire tells us:

"Far to the south of the Summerset Isles is the island kingdom of Pyandonea, home to the Maormer, a rare breed of tropical elf. It is covered mostly in dense rain forest, and is a playground for the southern water spirits. The Maormer almost never travel to Tamriel or visit their cousins at Summerset, for they were exiled from the latter kingdom in ancient times. They are known to possess a strange, chameleon-like skin, an involuntary process that is similar to the forest-coupling skills of the Bosmer. They also practice a powerful form of snake magic. With this, they have tamed the sea serpents of their island for use as steeds and warbeasts. The Maormer ruler is King Orgnum, a deathless wizard who is said to be the Serpent God of the Satakal."

In 3E110 during the War of The Isle, King Orgnum of Pyandonea launches an attack on the Empire of Tamriel, a result of the political intrigue of Queen Potema of Solitude. However, the Pyandonean Armada is utterly destroyed by a storm that had appeared suddenly off the Isle of Artaeum. It's obvious that Psijic Order of Summerset Isle plays a major role in Orgnum's defeat.

King Orgnum loses his Coffer during one of marine battles with the Imperial. After the loss, Orgnum's island kingdom of Pyandonea ceased to be a world power - probably because the King could no longer afford as great a fleet as before.

Ria Silmane

Ria Silmane was the former apprentice of Jagar Tharn. It is obvious that Ria is a loyal subject to Uriel Septim VII, therefore to smoothen his way to rule the Empire, Jagar Tharn has to kill her. She is killed in the night when Tharn captures Uriel Septim VII and banishes him to another dimension.

However Ria's spirit does not rest. Her ghost manages to find her friend who has been left to die in the Imperial dungeon. She releases and makes this person as her champion and hands to destroy Jagar Tharn. Through dreams, Ria manages to instruct her champion to each Province to collect the staff pieces. It is quite obvious that somehow Ria Silmane has a connection to Queen Barenziah, as it was Barenziah who knows the location of each piece of the staff.

After the champion defeated Jagar Tharn, she disappears and her spirit is finally rest.

Archmagus Shalidor

Shalidor is the famous Archmage of the First Era who created the Labyrinthian in Skyrim. The Labyrinthian is known as the Archmage's testing ground and it still exists to these days. The great maze is also used to keep an artifact called Glamoril (The Secret of Life). Shalidor himself lives in a citadel called The Fortress of Ice.

"Tamrielic Artifacts" says that Shalidor once has fought the Dwemer of The Rourken Clan. The Rourken Clan is one of the Dwemer clans that refused to make peace with the Chimer in the forming of the First Council in Velothi. Instead they exile themselves out of the land, to the west, to Hammerfell. It's possible that during the long march to Hammerfell, the Rourken Clan clashes with Archmage Shalidor. The artifact Spellbreaker is the powerful Dwemeri shield that is used in the battle. The shield is able to reflect magicks or silencing any mage.

The Archmage Shalidor is also well known of his spell Shalidor's Mirror, which uses to reflect the offensive spell back to the caster. Some other scholars speculate that Shalidor after the battle with the Rourken Clan tries his best to find the exact magical effect of the Spellbreaker, thus Shalidor's Mirror is invented.

Uriel Septim VII

The Emperor of Tamriel, and liege lord of all of the kings and queens of the land. His forebearer, Tiber Septim, conquered the continent more than four hundred years ago, ushering in the 3rd era of history. He takes the throne in 3E368. He is the 24th Emperor of the Septim dynasty.

In 3E389, his former trusted Battlemage, Jagar Tharn captures him and casts him into another dimension. The mysterious champion of Ria Silmane (the former apprentice of Jagar Tharn) defeats Jagar Tharn in 3E399 and restores Uriel VII to his throne. Later on, the champion is declared as the Eternal Champion.

In 3E405, Uriel VII sends his agent to Iliac Bay area of High Rock to investigate the death of Uriel's former friend, King Lysandus of Daggerfall. The agent finally manages to unearth the truth behind Lysandus' death. In the same time, the agent also resurfaces the Numidium, an ancient powerful Dwemer Construct.

In the later years of his reign, he sends another mysterious agent to the island of Vvardenfell in Morrowind Province to uncover the truth about the Sixth House of the Dunmer and the Nerevarine Prophecy. After the long struggle with the blight, the reawakened Sixth House creatures and the leader of the Sixth House, Dagoth Ur. the agent finally fulfills the Nerevarine Prophecy and destroy the Sixth House and their leader Dagoth Ur.

Uriel VII has been, for the most part, a strong and effective ruler, but harsh and unyielding in personality, and private and secretive by nature, he has never been popular with the people. The Emperor is over eighty, and in poor health. He has declared heirs, Geldall Septim, and the younger Septims, Enman and Ebel, but there are rumors of controversy over the succession in the Imperial City. Some wizards say his heirs are just doppelgangers placed in the household during Jagar Tharn's tenure as Imperial Battlemage.

In 3E433, Uriel VII and his official heirs are assassinated. Apparently, the Septim Dynasty ends by his death.
