August 2006
Jonathan D. Wells has updated his most complete Cyrodiil map. Now it contains wayshrines and doom stones. It's available in the Cartography section. Thanks to Jonathan for sharing the map with us.
There really isn’t an eloquent way to say this, so I will simply come out and say it: Sinder Velvin is no longer a member of The Imperial Library.
Unfortunately, it is equally difficult for me to describe the events which have occurred over the past several months. Basically, our tumultuous relationship ended a few days ago when I forced Sinder to leave. Oh, some will say he had it coming, some will say I was too hard on him, others will say that he was going to leave anyway, and still others will claim that he was miserable, and I simply ended his madness. No matter how you view the situation, Sinder is gone because I refused to let him stick around here any longer.
In my opinion, the Sinder I knew and loved left a long time ago. He was becoming a recluse, his behavior had changed, and his mischief was detrimental to the Library and staff. Nevertheless, I will miss him greatly. He deserves a lot of credit for his wonderful contributions to the ES Community and for the many great things he has done here at The Imperial Library. I wish him the best of luck.
I have completed my simple BloodMoon Bestiary.
I have completed my simple Tribunal Bestiary.
I have completed my simple Morrowind Bestiary.
MK has blessed the Official Forums with a wonderful 'Secondary Source' of information. You can find Lament for Pelinal in the Obscure Texts section of the Library.
Thanks, MK!
Added 2 texts in the Obscure Texts section: Caius Cosades' Letter Caius Cosades' Visit to Uriel VII's Tomb Also a new Hammerfell map, created by Noirgrim, is added to the Cartography section.
Enjoy...
Added 2920, The Last Year of the First Era and a letter and one journal from Vile Lair that I missed to upload sometime ago. By this update, the Oblivion Books section is finally completed, unless there are new plugins or expansions.
Kikaimegami's Translating the Mysterium Xarxes and Jale's An Alchemist's Guide to Skooma have recently been added to the Forum Scholars Guild.
No, Xan, we do not have a (Proper.) Bestiary. That is an ancient demo version. :)
We will (Probably.) have one this decade, though.
For the last couple of weeks, I’ve been working (with the help of the librarians and loremasters) on the update of the Book of Daedra. Finally the labor has over. Since the title “Book of Daedra” is rather confusing with the official Book of Daedra, I decided to rename the title. It’s now titled “The Definitive Guide to Daedra.” It’s huge... well at least for me. It’s supposed to have all the information about Daedra. But it’s not going to detail the lesser Daedra, since we have Bestiary for that, but it has the information about lesser Daedra that probably should not be in the Bestiary, such as their behavior towards mortal and so on. Just open the page and read, I am sure you may find something that you did not expect to find.
I've added several Ayleidic terms to the Translation Dictionary. I was able to translate most of them.
